There's only been a couple of times I was certain, loaded into a match and one of my teammates had sprintburst speed NON STOP for the entire match we felt bad for the killer and reported but not sure if anything happened
-
Not really usually, occasionally I'll go out my way to find the unseen Blendette and put them on death hook once I realise I've only chased 3 survivors for the entire match
-
Nah I usually don't have a problem downing the user after baiting it out

I think I understand perfectly what you mean. I'm not saying it is always pleasant to continue and I do get that you want to have fun when playing a game, not endure a negative feeling. Once again, I would like people to think about a board game with your friends, it's just not fair for you to stop playing because it's not going the way you wanted.
But this is not a board game with your friends.
-
I feel like DBD by nature of being a pretty intimate game with you having to invest a decent amount of time into a session, it leaves more room for people to fester and stew over mildly annoying things lol
-
I dunno NOED used to upset me when I was new, but these days I find it's a gamble that tends to not really pay off for the killer if everyone just bounces once you see it show it up
-
Me, I was at the edge of the exit right before you leave and we had a friend slugged at the door tryna crawl out before getting picked up. Killer saw us at the exit and hit everyone out, I was hoping to buy our slug friend more time to crawl out after the first hit I tried to move so killer would have to take a step to hit me again but I like angled myself weirdly and when the downing hit happened it made me backflip VERY FAR back into the map and he picked me up and hooked me before I could crawl out lol. The slugged friend DID get out but I died because everyone had left haha. It was pretty funny and I deserved it for getting way too cocky at the exit line XD

It may still be viable but her prestige was nerfed a bit with her model rework. Her prestige overall has a lot less blood on it so she's a bit easier to see. They did the same to Jake's prestige, although not to the same extent.
Ohhhh I see that's annoying
-
Why is P3 Claudette not viable anymore what happened to her outfit??
-
Man I would love to play it more and get to know it better but the last 2 times I lucked out getting it, the game crashed within first minute and I ate DC penalties both times. Really annoying
-
It changes killer to killer for me but as Twins the chase build I get the most out of is Bamboozle + Coup de grace + Brutal strength + Sloppy
-
For killer Dark Devotion, for survivor probably Deception

Buy a ps5 and get on with it. If I kept the same pc for 5 years it would also get old. I wouldn't expect gaming companies to update the game just for me. Unpopular opinion

Again. People arnt always mad. Sure your example is them being ineffecient. But it doesn't mean they were mad. Their gens were gone. They wanted to secure a kill at that point. That's not toxic. So here's my example.
I get Midwhich last night and find someone. In about 20 seconds. It's a quick chase because they tried to hide in a locker and I pulled them out..I hook and a gen popped because 3 people spawned next to one that wasn't corrupted. I find someone and have about a 30 second chase. Pretty quick. Another gen pops by the time I hook. So 2 minutes in I've lost 2 gens without being ineffecient. Fast forward I have 2 more pretty quick chases without finding anyone else to pressure more the one at a time...4 minutes in I'm down to 1 gen at a while 4 hooks. Was I playing bad ? No. So what option do I have ? Camp my hook in my 3 gen I had. I wasn't mad. I wasn't being toxic. Them being rediculously effecient on gens gave me no other choice.
Most of the time it's obvious when the game is virtually over and you are just tryna secure a kill. I get it, that makes sense, I do it a lot as killer (coz my playstyle kinda sucks but that's a different issue) but this dude specifically had ample opportunity to drop chase and save his gens because eventually I kept running the chase TO everyone else on gens but he wouldn't bite. When he first hooked me the other 3 teammates all got off gennies (2 left) to try get me off but he wouldn't budge. Sooo once I got to second stage and it was clear he just wanted me dead and no one else they just went back to gens, even saw them cleansing totems around the map and then left. He may not have being mad, obviously I don't have a window into people's thoughts but he was definitely being toxic and arguably petty. When I need to secure a kill, ill proxy camp and what-not but this dude did the BM facecamp nonsense. Which is usually a response to a perceived slight in game. I wish I recorded it so you could see why I am 95% sure he was mad
-
Probably Huntress, Nemi and Clown for me
-
Definitely endgame builds as survivor, you get used to playing around gen slowdown because it's so common and it's a slog but once you get those gens done there isn't much effort needed tryna actually escape. When it gets to endgame and you get slapped with something like NOED or blood warden it really spices things up and gets exciting because we're struggling to get everyone out and sometimes fail but it gets the heart pumping :)

That mindset will end up killing any game.
Yeah, but the health of one's psyche should take precedence over any hobby. If what you do for fun is no longer fun for you, you're not doing yourself any favours bypushing through it resentfully when you could be taking a temporary break to refresh your relationship to it IMO
-
Sorry but if it's not fun for you anymore don't torture yourself and take a break. It's only game
-
PLAGUE she's got this...sexy energy I can't explain lol it's appealing to me

I'll give you a hint. Not every killer who camps, tunnels, slugs. Does it to be toxic(nor is the act itself toxic). Or is angry with you. Or that you did anything
It's mind baffling to me that survivors don't see abusing strong tiles or gen rushing as toxic...Because that's their objective..What else are they supposed to do..Because that's the map given to you..What else are you supposed to do.
Yet killers objective is to hook survivors. Sacrifice them... But them doing it as effeciently as possible is toxic....? 🤷
I mean sometimes it's not efficient at all lol and they are obviously mad at you. For example last night I had a game with a pyramid head, had lethal pursuer and came to me first so obviously I try to get away etc. I ran the entire length of the map TWICE, stunned him once and 3 gens flew during it because he didn't wanna drop chase. Once I was finally downed and hooked he stood guard right in front of me not letting anyone come come. So obviously everyone else ended up just doing gennies and left and I died first hook with PH just staring at me. What was efficient about that?
-
No please no my country has terrible internet and I get kicked to the main menu a lot I don't wanna be punished for ######### out of my control
-
Haddonfield is actually one of my favourite maps as Twins. I park Charlotte smack bang in the middle of the road and harass everyone with Victor

You don't need to apologize for playing the game bro. It's incredibly Survivor sided, they're spoiled rotten and what happens when you do that? They get super entitled. Playing Survivor is easy. Playing Killer is not and it's tremendously stressful. You do what YOU do as a Killer to Survive.
Eh I think that's subjective, like I find playing survivor to be the more stressful role. As killer I have a way easier time because I like being in control of the matches being able to walk around freely etc. and if things go south ah well I still get buttloads of BP. As survivor I'm at the mercy of other people and it's frustrating to get barely any BP out of it
-
@Jasix said:
See I think killer is WAY more relaxing. I do what I do and that's that. I don't have to worry about finding totems, rescuing survivors, potato survivors, immersed survivors, etc etc etc... I just go out and try to sacrifice people. I earn way more bloodpoints as a killer because I know I can spread my tasks out into the different emblems. When I am a survivor it is either focus on gens...or focus on being chased. As a survivor it is hard for me each month to get back to rank 1 - hard meaning it takes about 3-4 sessions. With killer I am back to rank 1 in 1-2 sessions easily each month.
Me too, after a night of getting rolled and barely earning any bloodpoints, nothing beats switching over to killer and taking it easy
-
Noooo my SWF sucks we play for fun we don't need to be annihilated any more than usual lol.
As killer I like the challenge when it's obviously a SWF
-
I'm gonna miss it. As Twins main it's one of my favourites for messing around with survivors and having fun with the cats eye addon

You don't get hate mail messages? I often get them during the game. I once stopped playing to have a back and forth with a flashlight user who was mad that I tunneled and face camped him out of the game. My final words were, " well I let the others go, so you technically did well as a survivor." It is more savage in context where he wouldn't shut up about skill and rank. It was kind of weird, so I needed to start speaking his language.
I never have! I think the closest was once I played like a jerk as twins and did a mass slug and someone sent me a messahe with just a paragraph of exclamation marks lol, usually if I do get a msg it's just GG's and stuff
-
I'm on console but if I had endgame chat I would totally fan the flames. Tbh my life kinda sucks so if someone is lashing out at me over a GAME (happened all the time in 2010 era COD lobbies) I relish that miniscule power the rager has given me and run with it. This is the internet after all
-
I once died and spectated the Blendette one our team, she just kept getting in and out of 2 lockers side by side
-
I'm on Xbox One (accidentally said 360 lol) I feel your pain, DH and Lithe are a no go for me as well, Sprint Burst is the one that has never failed me. Running it with Vigil and getting good at having it almost 99'd all the time has turned out amazing for me.
Once you get good at predicting how many seconds you've got left on the exhaustion meter, using it mid chase is like DH with better distance I love it.

If memory serves correctly it's four, but yeah that challenge is absolute garbage.
Yessss that's the one I just BLAGH I think one day I'll just put it on and pray for an AFK killer while I'm in a 4 man SWF.
One the killer side, the hooks in basement ones I've given up on. Not because it's hard to hook survivors in the basement that's easy as, but all my tomes seem to be glitched so any time I hook survivors in the basement it never registers. For ANY of the basement challenges no matter what tome I choose it's driven me nuts

Okay so killers should just start using coup to counter dead hard then, problem solved! You can’t call psychic prediction of what perks someone is going to use counter.
Coup is one of the perks I can't play without, for non DH reasons, but man is it hilarious when the survivor dead hards and I use a coup lunge to hit them down at the end of the dead hard XD
-
Not much if they're a sweaty SWF, exploiting the extreme lengths they tend to go to for altruism is probably your best bet. Find the worst looper and tunnel the ######### out of them until the rest of their team comes out of the wood works to try and save them
-
The one survivor one I haven't been able to pull off is "Finish repairing 5 generators using dark sense in one match"

David, dead hard at level 1 though D:
Oh yeah but I'm on last gen console dead hard doesn't even work for me :'(
-
I'm not sure about your assertion that this game punishes you for playing well as killer? When you play badly you get diddly squat out of it and the survivors survive. I guess I don't really understand what your position is haha
-
I dunno, when I started playing this game the first 10 hours of survivor play were not rewarding in the slightest. I'd say DBD is extremely unfriendly to new players thanks to the disgusting grind to get any perks that, well, extend your in game life lol
-
@ThiccBudhha said:
I wish a weaker version of it was base kit, but what can you do? The game needs to be "balanced." Gen regression after a survivor abandons a gen would just be too OP. Not like they have enough time between the 4 of them to tap it.
They'd be completely screwed if for example there were only 2 survs left with 4 gens to go
-
PIG. Those bloody hats
-
14% is a bit much and I think 30 seconds is WAY too short a chase for something like that to activate :S
-
What slowdown perks are ya running??
-
I mean I have no problem with it when the killer found me and no one else is around, I'm not sure I'd even call that tunneling it happens to me as killer where the only person I could find was the recently unhooked, but it feels like ######### when you have 2 other teammates tryna take aggro and bodyblocking the killer only for them to be flat out ignored.... like not even copping a basic attack killer just walks around them. Can't really fault the tunneled survivor when this happens because everyone else is being ignored on purpose
-
I wouldn't know I'm on console

Well, I guess you just don't understand the point I'm trying to make. As simple as I try to explain, you still completely miss the point and keep repeating the same thing. If you think a hatch escape can't be better for survivors than 4k, then there is not much to discuss. Your point of view is that of a single survivor, mine is that of a whole team, that's the core difference.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2435501#Comment_2435501
Was that against a potato killer who didn't patrol the gens? Really, is there any actual footage of such a game? I'd like to see it myself, because I've never seen anything similar in a real game.
I'm gonna have to agree with Jacoby, I've had plenty of games where me and the other teammate makes it out doing gens and gates.
Perhaps you've never seen anything like that because by your own admission, you don't help the other remaining survivor and wanna report them for not suiciding and giving you hatch?
-
I feel like people say this stuff when they've never tried killer before. This kinda thing used to upset me as a new player, way before I switched to killer qnd realised qt that point in the game your best hope is to hook someone, kinda proxy camp to try and get some hook trades

Yeah man but for the majority they play them extremely unfair and just overall like an #########.
Overall their playstyle is to promote slugging, tunneling and camping. I haven't faced one set of twin players who doesn't heavily do all this and it ain't fun at all to go against or play as in my opinion.
I respect you play them in an optimal manner but I just don't like them.
Yeah honestly after versing a bunch of other twins players I realised I could be the FUN twins to verse, when I first figured out how to play them I opted for the mass slugging and it felt so scummy like shooting fish in a barrel. There was nothing they could do against it :(
-
@BabuDweet said:
To each their own but I'm personally glad twins aren't that playable. I dunno how people actually enjoy their playstyle if I'm honest, I had to play at least 20 or more games as them during the event to use cakes and it was boring and I felt like an ass the entire time.
Their playstyle is just boring and unfair. My personal opinion, but I do feel for people who enjoyed them and no longer do cause that must suck but that's about it.
No I'm not a surv main incase anyone says it. I play both sides equally and I hate twins either way.
Their playstyle is only boring and unfair if you play them that way. I use Victor to pressure gens and injure, then finish off chases with Charlotte. I lose more often than not but it's fun to make survs earn their escapes without decimating them through the whole slugging/Victor hook camping playstyle
