"snuff or break" really ought to have just been a base kit feature
-
If I'm playing consistently, I might see him once a week at least.
-
i feel like one of the primary failings of the game is that the game is only really fun when all players have a similar competitive mindset. This Nurse setup is fine if you're playing against survivors running an equivalent loadout or at least having a competitive mindset.
But you never know what your next set of players are gonna be like. Next game you might come across survivors who only want to joke around and then you feel like you wasted everything you brought.

dont think demos going anywhere.
-
I'm fine with the t-rex arm blinks but I need those recharges!
-
The secret to afk pig is to compliment it with yellow mori and rancor for bonus RNG
-
I hope they keep the aura reading

I didn't care about DbD, I migrated here from Friday the 13th; the fact that Survivors were all the same was honestly such a huge draw for me. I could pick the survivor I thought fit me best and use them without any worry of being not 100% optimal.

If I had to guess it'd be bc Eren is the protagonist of the show right? (Not seen it so forgive me if i'm wrong)
Dwight is often considered the 'main' survivor of the main 4 so it makes sense to pick him.
Dwight definitely has protag vibes, if dbd ever got a movie hed probably be the first survivor wed see
-
All he needs is his rocket and better zombie control or ai

I find Fearmonger+Tinkerer can really help when you're stuck as an m1 killer.
I find her prayer tablet really fun so I've been using Jolt as well.
Survivors glue themselves to gens broken and blind which can make the game a little more stressful for them

What does the 3rd line say? "This effect is also applied to all other Survivors within that range."
Yup. A nearby Dwight will make your gen repair yellow

Not being able to hook the last survivor after a done match on Midwich or something is kinda annoying.
If you REALLY wanna spare someone, cant you just not down them?

What does AoT mean?
Attack on titan; season 1s premise is basically a "survivors trapped inside a mall surrounded by zombies"

I'm glad we get a woman survivor who doesn't look like a supermodel. Been a while since the last one/there aren't as many
Old Nea was perfectly average ,RIP

I hate people. And I believe most were just voting Dating Sim as a joke..
we could have had a tv show based on DbD getting a more realistic portrayal of how trials are going but we get this??
This is playing out like the group date cafe scene from persona 4 lmaooooo

Cant wait to see how this works with Nemmy

No mither

I think Netflix bringing back ST to dbd would be admitting that they frigged up, so I honestly dont see it.
They'll make NEW ST deals but I dont rhing theyll come crawling back.
Which is a shame because ST was Dbd s best and most polished DLC. And I've never seen the show

Pretty much. Survivors aren't exposed to Nurse very often, let alone good ones, and her chase mechanics are unique. It leads players to conclude that she's OP because she "ignores" mechanics you shouldn't be attempting against her in the first place.
It's a mechanics heavy chase where your goal is to buy 60-80 seconds by the time you get hooked. It's a fantastic Nurse run if you've done that. But people think they should be able to no-hit run every killer, not to mention the fact that none of these players do that to any other killer.
I always seen her as more of a psychological killer.
Well, there IS a ton of mechanics, but at the end ofthe day they all feel worthless if one side makes the incorrect read.

Its burn out I suppose.
-
Fun fact: trickster on release was better on console despite being weaker back then.
-
ngl, another (good) Susie and Feng skin
Cross progression as well

He's the best killer in the hockey gameplay category. I'm pretty sure the devs love Bubba when MMR shows them he's getting 2ks all around.
Powerful? Nah, he's a no mobility/no range/no map pressure killers, his antiloop is good but that's about it.
He's the best goalie in the League, I daresay.
-
the game doesnt trigger any dopamine rewards if you are losing badly. It's not because "its only fun if you win" its more that there's no fun to be had in losing. Your brain doesn't release any endorphins by getting pallet slammed at the last microsecond, getting body blocked, your lunge being a hair short of your only down, getting tbagged and gg ez'd
Survivor isn't as bad at least...for whatever that's worth. It's easier to accept your fate there and move on. Killer games can drag on if the survivors want it to.
DbD is just an unforgiving game. I place it in the same tier as League of Legends and Overwatch. League gets very toxic for the same lack of stimulation from losing and because matches can be effectively decided in the first minute if poop hits the fan, but yet they are still forced to play out a decided game. it drains you mentally much faster than games like Call of Duty, where you can freely bounce out of bad matches. It's no wonder Killer players get worn out.
-
yeah....no.
You want a nerf to noed? put a totem counter somewhere on the UI. Survivors shouldn't need Small Game to take inventory.

Because its interesting to see how the different communities around the world play/think/behave?
I play a ton of yugioh and uses to play LoL, I love seeing the differences between the Asian mentality and the North American ones. Sometimes we have completely 180 ideas in regards to the meta

I would argue that Pinhead is FINE as a beginner killer, but his skill ceiling is incredibly low there. I think youd get more tangible benefit out of a killer like Leguon, honestly.
Pinhead has a huge reliance on game sense and requires you to play into his power.
I'd have argued that release Pinhead was beginner friendly, because the box solving addons made Pinhead a lot easier.
-
Ds is fine lmao.
Besides, if you disabled DS youd see a lot more Lucky Break.

According to one of my friends that was asking for the removal, yes it's made her gameplay experience against a Bubba better actually
Without the ability to bully Claudettes, nowit's the Jeryls who suffer Haha

It won't get better if you are on last gen. Unfortunately.
Bhvr is hoping the problem will fix itself with time...literally.
Sadly, I've experienced my first performance issue on current gen with the new haddonfield

Can we stop using steam charts as the end all be all?
Fact of the matter is, Dbd could drop dead on steam and possibly still do fine with just consoles and Epic.
The numbers dont necessarily mean anything.
-
I'dbe upset about it, but I get schadenfreude when people play so pathetically as to go that far.
It might screw me over but I cant help but laugh
-
I've seen a couple people here encounter Otzdarva, like with his Twins game on RPD.
I myself am a ghost, you'll never see me in the wild
-
Left Behind seems to be asafety blanket for new players. They startle easy, so let em have it.
They'll take it off when they are ready.
-
This is just simply not true.
You can tank your MMR by playing weird, or letting all the survivors go butyou're still gonna get shrekt or go against babies. It reallydoesnt matter that much.
Fact ofthe matter is, unless you are content getting a 0k quite consistently, you need to make power plays. Down-->hook just doesnt cut it
-
Overwatch tried to balance itself and look how popular that game is now
-
These are definitely perks in dead by Daylight
-
If I were 13 again, I'd probably be using the xbox LFG feature since there's always people lookin to play, but...these days im not really comfortable joining up with randos. i kinda prefer playing by my lonesome. It's easier to make...objective decisions when you don't care about the personal well being of the other survivors 😅
-
sometimes fun
-
there is plenty of advice that could be given, but i think the most important thing i can say is this is just how dbd is sometimes. You could play Nurse with the best perks and addons and still get crushed so dont sweat it too much and play for fun
-
he just had the better gaming chair
-
just take the L and move on
-
based on what?
-
i died last night specifically because i chose to use power struggle/flip flop/tenacity on Claire instead of James. The time I lost was enough to make the difference between life and death
i didnt think it'd matter, but of course it did.

@Phasmamain said:
You mean the maps killers can basically guarantee a win on so long as there is a decent 3 gen? Yeah no thanks
I don't think BHVR would touch a maps size and NOT take a look at windows, pallets, hooks, gens etc.
"guaranteeing" the win doesn't mean anything if you want to literally die irl before you get to that point.
-
my headcanon is that BHVR feared the power of Thrill on Pinhead and Artist
-
the hooks are bugged, even for the survivors atm
-
They've come a long way since ptb survivor bots
