Dont know Marth, never watched his videos, honestly could care less if he leaves or not. Its his choice. That said, he did make valid points, but those valid points have been made for months upon months by a great many people. He is not saying anything groundbreaking.

Hitting rank 1 is not that much of an accomplishment. Just means you play way too much. Ranking is not a sign of skill, it is a sign of time played.

No, they really are not, shown by your treatment. This is probably the only time I have agreed with their actions toward the community. Either they let idiots be abusive or they attack even the most mild offense, just depends if they like you or not. This raging idiot though was sick, and disgusting and deserved his ban. The jail you keep getting is simple bullshit.

I am still stuck on how you get a few hooks in 30 seconds. Please post a video that shows you getting a single hook in 30 seconds, let alone 2 hooks.

It really depends on the nature of the license. I highly doubt the license holders would allow their IP to be offered for free. I do not see this happening.

I am sorry but if you cannot grasp why introducing a real life mass killer into a video game is a bad idea on your own, nothing we can say will help you out there. The fact that most people in this thread have said its a bad idea should be a clue as to why it would be a bad idea.

The devs are on record saying Gacy was not the inspiration for the Clown. As for Leatherface, whether or not Ed Gein was actually the inspiration for Leatherface is debateable and Tobe Hooper has contradicted himself multiple times about this. I will say that Leatherface was more than likely at least partly inspired by Gein.
If they draw inspiration from reality to create fiction, that is one thing. Reality is often the inspiration for nearly all horror. Now that is not what you orginally said you wanted Valery Makarenkov in the game. Huge difference between the devs using reality for inspiration and your request for the actual killer.

That is one of the worst, most tasteless suggestion I have heard for this game. I hope the devs never sink to that level. Glorifying a real life killer is not a good thing. Playing as one is not even close to a good idea.

@notavarage Sadly, if you get a SWF group, no matter the rank, you may get much higher ranks. Match making is broken in that regard. I had the same frustations when I started. I suggest pick a killer, and stick with him/her. Learn how to play them top to bottom. Do not worry about BP. I know that is hard thing to ask but its part of the learning. I would suggest gameplay wise, if a survivor starts to loop you, back out of the chase and find a new target. Do not let them sucker you into an infinite loop.

You stated your skill level did not meet the rank you were sitting at. I suggested KYF as a way to work on your skill before heading back to ranked games. Of course you do not get BP, its not a ranked match. You were complaining about skill level, and I suggested a means to work on your skill without getting pwned every match. It seems your issue is not skill but you are not getting the BP you think you deserve. You cannot farm a killer like you did befoer 2.1. That makes more sense.
You are not going to get your money back. Honestly it is as simple as that.

For me as a survivor, honestly, about every game I get destroyed. I have the worse luck of spawning every match right next to the killer.

I am not really understanding your issue here. Usually ranks 16-20 will get matched against each other, so you will still get players of your skill lvl typically. Also, the reason from my understanding for not going deranking from 16-20 is not to discourage new players. The no depips or rank loss is more of a motivation point. Lastly, 15 is the new 20, not 16 as you cannot drop below 15 in rank until the rank reset.
I am sorry you and your friends are having a difficult time with matches after ranking up. Maybe if you got 4 friends you play with regularly, try playing Kill With Friends for a bit and work on your skills until you feel comfortable with coming back into ranked games.

Edit: wordsWhile the pools are a good thing, it doesnt fix the core problem with rank in DBD. You literally cant play casual because there is no casual mode and there are no rewards for rank....... (maybe changign soon?)
They did say they want to give rewards for reaching Rank 1 in the future, but when is unclear. It's obviously not a priority, and shouldn't be. But yes, it doesn't entirely solve the problem with ranks and most importantly it still doesn't stop survivors from intentionally ranking down to level 15 instead of 20. Won't make too much of a difference to them.
Survivors dont need to derank, they can simply play SWF with a single low rank survivor and they can bully a low rank killer. I bet that this is still the case^^
I actually love seeing several rank 1s or 2s in my lobby as part of a SWF group. I am low rank because of lack of time to play, not due to skill. So they come thinking they get to bully me around until they are all mori'd. The hatred that flows is amazing.

I dont mind it. Not sure i would use it often. I did run it on Michael with the unlimited tier 3 addon. Got 3 survivors while still working on gens.

They are two very different play styles. I personally enjoy Michael because of the stalking and slow burn he does. Amanda is more fast ambush and distraction style play. She is the best at taking a survivor out of the match for a few minutes bc of her reverse bear traps. Personally, I think they are both worth playing.

I truly hate RQing. I can accept tbagging, looping, face camping, 5 gen tunneling. I am good with that. Rage quitting though, that is the one thing that will piss me off quicker than anything. I do not care if you are a killer or survivor, there is no reason at all to RQ.
Now, I have had a few games as a killer when someone DCed, but sent me a message and saying something real life happened and that was why they quit. I can accept that honestly.

I completely agree. I think that is honestly my biggest complaint for console is dedicated servers.

I refuse to DC when that happens. I go, make me some coffee, maybe a snack. Read a book, maybe check out the news. I am hosting the session, game does not end til I say it does. So I will keep it up until the survivor gets bored and either works a gen, DCs themself or decides to get up close and personal.
