Deliverance, slippery meat, whatever, these are okay, but not if I'm running to you and you decide to yeet when I get close.
Y'all ask why I would take it seriously? Don't get mad at me when I turn around and leave you on hook. Don't take it too seriously!
@Seanzu said:
Why can't you just let people have fun?
Why does it matter whether they pull off in front of you or not, it's fun to chance the 4% especially if you're going to get saved, it's not the end of the world, the person will still need healing and it's incredibly rare they'll even pull off anyway.
If your version of fun is trying a 4% chance, go to a casino. I like teammates that play as a team.
If you wanna play only for yourself, don't get mad when I leave you on hook.
Trying to steal the hook save, even if unsuccessful, is a blatant statement that you aren't a team player.
If it's not such a big deal? Why is it such a big deal for you to wait for the unhook instead of getting greedy?
Let them have their fun? Well after watching you unsuccessfully try to save yourself, I have more fun in watching you enter struggle as punishment for your bad decision.
Consequences.
-
It's obvious.
You're trying to change every killer to help the survivor side.
You don't like mind games, camping or tunneling, or shutting down loops.
Maybe all killers should just have their weapons and abilities removed entirely, the killer can go around and tickle survivors.

Survivor main?

But if you're going to throw the game because you are petty, then I don't want to see you complaining about bad solo queue teammates. Because you are the bad teammate.
I'm the bad teammate?
Why?
Because my other bad teammate is trying to steal points and be toxic?
Ok den
-
I just don't see any sense in it.
Why are you trying to unhook yourself when a survivor is within 10 feet?
The only possible explication is toxicity.
I don't help toxic teammates.
-
It would be nice to see an actual counter point, but it sounds like y'all just trying to be toxic to the person trying to unhook you.
I guess I'll just stop going for hook save entirely? I can only control myself.
-
@SharkPiledriver said:
I'll just wait until I'm in the second phase and act like I'm gonna hang on and let the entity kill me right before you attempt to unhook. Take THAT! I'll take the loss just for you to get less points with your dumb We're Gonna Live Forever.
Enjoy your quick loss I guess.
I'll just jump back on gens.
Players act selfish, then get mad at retaliation.
-
Already addressed that.
-
I kinda like this idea, as long as dragging is faster than crawling and the dragged survivor can keep healing up to 90%
-
@Freesham said:
But I need to get my self-unhook achievement!
Did you bring slippery meat and up the ante?
No?
Then quit trying to steal my points.
Basically, if you act selfishly, you're not being a team player. So why would I?

Inner strength, pharmacy, detectives hunch, sprint burst.
I pick perks that get me points, can be used all game, and allow me to rely on myself for heals.
I solo que mostly.

Victor can hit you in a locker.
The devs talked about having Victor hold locker closed, but instead they put a bandaid on it.

Prestiged bloodweb doesn't give you anything either. At P3 you'll still be looking at 1/4 of common addons, with the rest being ######### map/BP offerings or if you're really lucky.. An item.
My advice? Farm all your perks and don't prestige unless it's for bloody clothes (It's the only cosmetic on Quentin, which is why I did it)
That's what I'm currently doing.
I got a p3 freddy, saw no difference in rarity add-ons. I'm not going to prestige any killer at this point.

I just flat out believe Face Camping/Slugging doesn't exist.
Killing is your objective, if a survivor get slugged or face camped, you're at fault.
Exactly. Gen rushing is just the other side of tunnel camping.

As I said....those "Purposely" so it should be a indication of me pointing out the toxicity side of survivor mainers.
As I said I have no problems with survivors doing their Objectives but to ruin the gameplay for the killer is the problem lol I keep repeating this. (I use Thantophobia to slow their progression but the perk needs to be buff to be really pressuring against such things.)
Thanata, takes skill and tactics to use.
Just injuring 1 personal at a time does nothing, gotta hit multiple survivors.
Try the new perk Oppression.

Gen pressure is your objective, if gens get done, you're at fault.

The DC is penalized. But the person who was allowed to get away scott free was not, and the killer is penalized for trying to get BP and Emblems. So its really not fair, and its really not properly penalized.
Both survivors are having to wait the penalty, and the killer is penalized for being greedy.
-

I shouldn't have to change my entire build because people wanna sabotage the gameplay for killers.
And it's a "Killer Vs Survivors" problem not just a "You" problem, and this is yet again coming from someone who has been in BOTH sides.
I shouldn't have to change.
Well then you never get better.

While it is about what I missed out on, its also bringing up an exploit/cheating in this game that should be taken care of. Its not something to just turn a blind eye to, at least I don't think so.
It's not cheating if it's already penalized.
-
Gen rushing is a YOU problem.
It means you're unwilling to change your own tactics.
I don't mean this to be offensive. There are perks that can help, breaking chase to pressure gens, or using other speedy perks to keep up.
Totems punish gen rushing, gen pressure prevents it, or speed up yourself to keep up.
Every game I play, 3 gens pop quick, but then I snowball into avalanche mode and the last 2 never get done.
-
The dc itself will get a penalty.
Just because you couldn't slug to 4k doesn't mean new rules should be enforced guaranteeing the 4k.
Just move on to the next game knowing both of them have to wait the penalty if they want to continue playing together.
If they repeat this dc hatch tactic, the penalty increases.
Is hatch really worth a dc penalty?
Is a 3k really considered a loss?
It sounds like both parties are at fault for being greedy, and both parties got penalized.
You missed out on 1 kill, they get to sit and wait even longer for next match.
No new rules required.
-
Granted they have bugs, but the twins are strong and pretty original.
Like every character they release, it comes with problems, and the bugs will be fixed.
I play through the bugs and consider it tapering. If I can get 4ks with a buggy killer, imagine what I can do when they get fixed.
Survivors beware! Lol

Even though it didn’t. The great majority of disconnects are people ragequitting, either on the loading screen or after a down. DC penalties should apply at any time after the campfire ends, period.
And yes, I’m also totally behind the idea of all offerings being secret.
Exactly this.
If you sat through the campfire, you're ready to play a match. If you leave, you dc, and that deserves a penalty.
-
@apathyinc said:
I don't DC, but every time I see that last offering that doesn't flip over I hope someone else does. The 1 hook tunnel mori is one of the worst playstyles out there. Even when I have a 60K daily ritual to mori I'll do it with Devour Hope, the mori offerings are just too overpowering.
A killer that brings a mori is already punishing himself.
Easy kills leads to more experienced players.
-
@Clevite said:
Then, same for lobby dodging?
Lobby dodging doesn't waste time like sitting through a loading screen just to see someone dc.
@Baal said:
People will leave while Mori's are a thing, they can't penalise people for leaving during Loading how would you even manage that. It's not gonna happen.
Only one post? And it's completely doable to penalize people that restart app just because they see something they don't like.

LOL, sorry you don't get it.
Perhaps try think a different way. Think about why people d/c. What ways could you encourage them to stay. Perhaps if you didn't give them the information.
It's just low hanging fruit to say 'punish them' when they're game may have just crashed.
Alot of people that complain about game crashes, do nothing to fix it on their end. A timeout could be clogging your line, or your laptop can't handle this game. A penalty is warranted due to any reason.
I never see penalties, or crashes, because I don't dc.
I'm all for less info being given. Maine offering should only show up after game has loaded in.
Alot of solutions to this problem.
-
Without moris, y'all loading screen dcers wouldn't have an EXCUSE to dc during loading screen.
-
@MikaKim said:
We already have d/c penalties. Some people on this forum need to build a bridge already.
We don't have dc penalties for loading screen dcers.
I also don't get the bridge comment?
-
Honestly, I stopped playing freddy bc he is too easy to play as.
I hope they don't go overboard with nerf, but a nerf is still appreciated.
-
Let's also take keys and moris into full account.
Keys are not a get out of jail card, they're meant to replace bond.
If a killer uses moris he will get easy kills and mmr will increase difficulty of future matches.
A killer using a mori will punish himself with increasingly difficult games.
A survivor only using keys for hatch, aren't really using it correctly.
-
@smart212 said:
why we want go to match that already predictable. It waste of time so in my opinion if the survivor dc after see on offerings, it is their decision. Since all killer will tunneling you when they have mori after you get unhook.
So, by that logic, the killer should always dc?
Every game is against 4 survivors, sooo predictable.
No, a dc is a dc. Trying to sugar coat excuses will only build a cake of lies.
-
@xenofon13 said:
Lol, no thanks.
Show the mori before the loading screen. Killers dodging keys faster than Ferrari.
Those killers also deserve a penalty.
I don't dodge keys, because I'm confident that survivors won't get to use them.
I don't dodge mori, because I'm confident that the killer won't get to use them, even if I get mori, it looks awesome.
I really wish a single person would just admit, "I'm scared of keys and moris, so I leave like a scaredy cat."
-
A dc is a dc. It deserves a penalty.
If you don't agree, it's because you feel your time is more valuable than those that readied up to play.
I sincerely hope a penalty is enforced, because I'm seeing too many people afraid of secret offerings.
Another solution would be to make all killer offerings secret.
-
It's a single use perk that can actually help strong killers.
DS is perfect the way it is and I wish more people used it.
I run Stbfl and is nice to eat DS in order to switch obsession.
If a killer is afraid of ds, that killer needs to improve.
-
Sometimes the game gets buggy when dailies reset.
I just restart app often whenever it's gets a lil buggy.
Never dc or crash, never see this problem.
Keep dc penalties, no game is perfect.

Hook farming, for example. Injuring/Downing them and having other survivors bodyblock and heal them, that sort of thing.
Wouldn't that make the other survivors at fault? Sounds like being held hostage.
Either way, they'd have to be very well organized to pull that off. Possible, reportable, but seems highly unlikely.
1) killers farming is very uncommon
2) survivors working together to sabotage 1 and force them into farming seems incredibly rare.
Regardless of how impossibly rare for that to happen, it doesn't sound fun at all.

Only if you force people to farm even if they don't want to.
How can someone be forced?
If I see a killer farming, I'll just do gens and open gates as fast as possible.
I don't like 5 minute gen rushing on either side, but if farming is involved I'll just end the game quick and on to the next one.
-
@Sluzzy said:

Because forcing two objectives can sometimes be too much and nothing compares to it. Imagine a survivor perk that forces killer to go rabbit hunting before he can kill survivors. That's ruin/undying.
Totems are an objective, your rabbit hunting comment doesn't really apply or help your case.
Ruin can still be worked through, so it doesn't completely stop you from doing gens.
But all in all, it's to prevent gen rushing, which is all too common and I'll never understand why.
Why do you que up for a match, just to have it over in 5 minutes? Totems and chests reward points and increase fun.
Imagine no totems or chests, either do gen or get chased? Boring imo.
-
Although I would not report farming, I do think it may be breaking dbd rules.?
Not sure, but again, idc enough to report it.
Just be careful.

It depends how the farming is done though.
In farm games where survivors are participating, I also put in a lot of effort to be as silly, funny, and entertaining as possible in the hope everyone gets lots of points AND some laughs.
Farming can be fun, but I guess it's just a matter of opinion.
A killer initiated farming one game while I was playing with a friend that needed unhook rift. She couldn't get any unhooks bc killer wouldn't hook or team would steal save.
She was disappointed and jumped on gens with me to get the game over with.
As much as I love bp, I'd rather habe a real game over any farming match.

As well as this, they are very good at camping and tunneling, so there's two problematic playstyles in one.
Also the fact that the killer isn't punished for messing up and getting Victor crushed; and it's not hard to spread the pain with him, either.
The twins get punished if Victor gets smashed, you have to start back at the beginning.
Imagine blinking twice as nurse, but bc you miss you get teleported back to original blink location.
It completely breaks chase if Victor is crushed while away, and it breaks my heart every time that little guy dies.

Undying is a problem imo, totems shouldn't change if undying gets broken first, but it is what it is.
But tinkerer is fine, ruin is fine.
Also, totems are your objective.
Survivors focus on gens too much, they get punished for it.
Survivors cleanse totems or open chests, killer gets punished.
I run inner strength, pharmacy, and detectives hunch. Totems give me heals, chests take 5 seconds to open, and hunch helps me locate.
I don't find ruin undying impossible, and I don't want 5 minute gen rush games as killer or survivor.
Everybody talks about the killer's tunnel vision, but y'all survivors also have tunnel vision when it comes to gens.
Only 5 totems on map, if all survivors did 1 totem, it only leaves 1 left. But y'all just want 5 minute gen rush games.

I'm looking to have fun. You can have fun losing. I don't have fun even when I win.
What exactly is ruining the fun?
You opened with "getting stomped playing low tier killers"
I find that mmr works better during peak hours, and late night is full of red ranks.
I do wish mmr was killer based.
The learning curve, although frustrating, is still practice.
Practice turns into skill, skill turns into confidence, confidence then gets tested by better players and this you're practicing again.
It's a cycle. Frustration, skill, confidence, and then back to frustration.
Without changing our own play style or picking different perks to compensate for personal weaknesses, we end up sitting stagnant, never learning, never improving.
Gotta keep your chin up and let them skilled players teach you where your personal weaknesses are, that way you can improve.
The choice is entirely up to you, and only you.
-
Just don't farm?
Most players want the chase, the adrenaline.
Farming is boring and not how the game is meant to be played.
It sounds like the survivors aren't going to farm and with good reason. It ruins the match.
As killer, I'd rather run around aimless than farm.
As survivor I'd rather die on hook.
Give me a real game, or go play a farming simulator.
No offence.
-
THANK YOU!
The twins excel at map pressure more than any other killer imo.
Another good tactic for Charlotte camping is multiple people hook save, flashlight blind while she's locked in animation from switching back to Charlotte.

I agree, it's not really effective at dealing with tunneling. One of the big issues with the perk is that it only works once meanwhile you can be tunneled twice. You still get tunneled after using DS, and then on your second unhook? It's free reign!! You're basically doomed even with BT. The Killer seems more determined to get you when they know you don't have DS.
BT also helps me get Stbfl stacks.
Ds helps me keep them by switching obsession.

That's where the problem is in my opinion. I would give her TR even during controling victor as you really can't do almost anything about her camping the hook while victor pressure other survivors.
Too true. It becomes a situation where multiple survivors need to help with hook save and body blocking.

First of all, if I pick you up and there is an obsession in the match it's more than likely because I want you to DS me. I want to get it out of the way. this means I control it, the survivor only controls it if they get picked up. so you see I do play both sides, I have DS and you down me I get to choose to use it or not, if you have DS and I down you, I can choose to pick you up and let you DS me or I can leave you down and let it run out. I guess I don't play both sides lol, with over 2500 hours in the game and over 2 years of playing I'm pretty sure I know what I do from both sides especially when I have a P3-50 trapper and a P3 huntress, several p1 killers, a P3 nurse and many P1 survivors, a p3-50 all perk (but the new ones) claudette and P3-50 nea that I'm still working all the perks there.... and I think @keygun actually hit the nail on the head, and though he/she and I have butted heads in the past I think they got it in one, if survivors don't do their secondary objectives as well as the primary ones they will loose. a killer has to do their secondary objectives (gen defense) more quickly and often than their primary because otherwise they loose.
Daaaw😀😙

I play both sides but I don't think you do. It is called Decisive Strike, notice the first part of the name. It should be decided by the survivor, not at the killers convenience. Killer already has way too much control when it is used. Imagine a movie where the survivor must ask the killer for permission to strike them. That is actually what you want with DS, an even weaker perk than what it already is.
Ruin, Tinkerer wins killers games for them, DS hardly does.
Ruin and tinkerer wins games?
Why? Because survivors won't break totems or finish gens while killer is in chase?
Survivors have roles to play, but everybody just focuses on gens. That's their mistake and rightfully punished for it.
