I found you complaining about the length of the acronym because that's literally what you were doing.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2227210#Comment_2227210

The words "homophobic" and "homophobe" are nowhere in my comment, yet somehow you assume that because I didn't immediately and explicitly agree with you (for the record, I didn't disagree either, I just gave you some advice), I'm accusing you of being a homophobe. Incredible.

Thanks for telling me what I was thinking and feeling. You clearly know me better than I do based off a forum post that you totally didn't misread.

  • Duh, Unbreakable. Imagine getting in a car crash or something and instead of dying you magically heal after a few seconds?

Nobody* is going to complain if you just say LGBT. I do it all the time.

*Yes, a very small number of people will complain, the same way you're complaining about the length of the acronym. Can't please everyone.

I love how I posted 2 very clear sentences and somehow you managed to find me saying "I hate how long the acronym is!!" in there.

Eruption is trash because there are too many variables. M1 killer don't really get used out of it as they will activate it every down. As for other killer, survivor can finish gens before the perk activate and 6% is nothing. Plus this perk doesn't have synergy with other slowdown. This perk should give like 15 or heck even 20% regression on all gen kick. Maybe give the gen orange sparks like for PGTW so survivor can figure out the perk is in action and let them decide if they want to finish the gen or go elsewhere.

This is BHVR's biggest problem, they're always ultra conservative with new Killer perks, numbers wise at least. Like you said, if it was a 20% regression it would possibly be worth it, but at such a low value and massive cooldown, it's not even worth trying.

  • @EQWashu said:

Yes, tunneling, camping and slugging are not reportable on their own; an individual game of it isn't really enough to say for sure.

HOWEVER, if the player says in post game it was because of the charm, that is reportable. Or, if you queue up with them several times, and they repeatedly target you in the same fashion, that could be reportable.

Bannable offenses include griefing, hateful speech, repeated harassment, and more. If you are REPEATEDLY being harassed by a player over the course of several matches, that could potentially be punishable. These things have always been a part of the Game Rules, its not just about the charm. To review the Game Rules, you can see them here: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/kb/articles/139-game-rules

And one more thing: everyone is welcome to wear and enjoy the charm in support of the LGBTQIA2+ community!

That acronym gets longer every day. Case in point, It's actually LGBTQIA2S+ now.

  • There really is nothing funnier in this game than downing someone and them disconnecting. The cherry on top is when they wait 5 - 10 minutes for the game to end and copy paste into chat the paragraph of salt they typed up while waiting.

  • The zombies aren't very good at high level, but they are probably the most creative, unique design decision the devs have made in a very long time, which is commendable. They did a good job. I think they just need to tweak the AI a tad so the zombies patrol gens or totems or something as they can get stuck in places or wander the corner of the map doing nothing.

  • I have said it once and I'll say it again. LP is not supposed to be a good perk, and it isn't. It's literally designed for new players that BHVR expects to pull from Resident Evil fans. I don't agree with that decision, but that is clearly the decision they made. Yes, it's a bad perk that and good killer can see is utterly inferior to Whispers. It's just a "hey noob killer, here are the survivors, go chase them" perk so new players don't run aimlessly around as gens start popping around them.

Eruption is another great idea for a perk that is ruined by how imbalanced the game's perks are. (They're either brutally OP like DS and Ruin or awful and useless like this perk) 6% regression is nothing, and the amount of time you have to invest going around kicking gens to make this perk work, you're better off just running Ruin or Surge.

Oh and if that wasn't bad enough, 90 second cooldown. lol.

Hysteria is just the devs continuing to think Oblivious does something when it really doesn't.

Because they didn’t just copy and paste the content from Capcom did they...

Wisdom and insight on ones own product is probably the MOST important quality/asset when it comes to adding (or removing) anything from a game.

Otherwise we’d still just have the same 3 killers, and same 4 survivors, and same perks as five years ago.

You really don't get it. That's fine. I'm just not going to explain it a third time.

  • He's definitely at the top of B tier. I think people are exaggerating his strength because he's all shiny and new, but he has some glaring weaknesses that prevent him from being A or S. Zero mobility. His power hinders him. (3 hits to down vs uninfected) His Tier 3 takes forever to unlock and is so tiny of a buff it's hardly worth having to hit survivors 3 times for. His zombies are fun against weaker players but not very effective against good survivors aside from the occasional lucky hit around a corner.

Don't get me wrong, B tier isn't bad, he's just more of a noob stomper than a strong killer like Nurse, Spirit, Blight etc who not only have extremely strong chase but high mobility. Some people are acting like Nemesis is insanely strong with no weaknesses which is just not true. Unfortunately I can see him getting nerfed because he's causing weaker players so much trouble so it's likely he could fall into C tier.

If the devs lacked any insight or wisdom on their own game, it wouldn’t be possible for them to add ANY content over the past five years.

How are those things correlated? Adding Nemesis to the game requires no understanding as to the state of your game. It's a highly lucrative business deal with huge fan appeal. Anyone can just add content. And that's what they're doing, which is my point. The game has been stale for years, new killers are just band aid solutions that are hit or miss.

  • Honestly, the devs have shown time and time again that they utterly lack any sort of wisdom as to the state of their game. They have a vision and they're sticking to it. That vision is: just keep adding more killers, more skins, more charms. These are their priorities.

After that comes balance, game design, etc. And the guy in charge of that thinks NOED is good for the game and the game is perfect with no issues.

  • Make it less brown and more green. Add some water to the map, maybe some areas where the water is waist high. Currently it doesn't really look much like a swamp, just an ugly dump yard. Honestly everything is either poo colored or looks like poo. I don't know what swamp references the devs used but it looks nothing like one. This is a swamp:

The level of ignorance in this thread is truly staggering. Anyone with two brain cells knew that the charms would lead to people trolling others. I can't even fathom how people can delude themselves into believing otherwise.

Probably because the logic that "i got camped + i have pride charm = killer is a homophobe" is laughably unscientific. Go look up "Key and Peele Office Homophobe", if you haven't seen it already. Explains the situation perfectly.

  • This is generally my experience with DBD. Play a chill trapper game with non meta perks and let them all escape? Get teabagged and insulted. Play meta nurse and 4k? Get nothing but salt and insults.

  • @Northener1907 said:

I only breaking 2 walls on this map. One on shack, other on main building near to windows. Thats all. Why you are breaking all of them lmao? Some of them dead traps for survivors.

you entirely missed the point and you're putting words in my mouth, grats survivor main

  • Thanks for this. Unfortunate that the perks, as usual, are mostly D tier garbage with maybe 1 or 2 being B or A tier, and certainly none being S tier to compete with the ranks of Dead Hard, Decisive Strike, Hex: Ruin, Pop Goes The Weasel, etc. Would be nice to have some strong perks change things up for a change, instead of the same ol same ol year after year meta of the exact same perks.

  • If you have more than 100 hours in this game, the perk is pointless. There are literally dozens of videos on youtube from people like OhTofu who show you step by step how to find survivors at the start of the game. You just get used to where Survivors spawn. So at best this perk is a training wheels perk for brand new players coming into the game due to being Resident Evil fans.

Whispers, Discordance basically do the same thing but better: they do it all game long. This crappy perk works for 7 seconds (at level 3) and then it turns off and never comes back. That is horrible. That is unbelievably, incredibly horrible.

It's a joke, as others have said.

  • @akanadi said:

sure they get rid of broken loops but in a really boring way of "######### it breakable wall" and making stuff look better? most the reworked maps look debatably worse imo, and it's not because collision because have you played blight, guy literally slides off everything

They got rid of broken loops? Have you played the updated Saw and Farm maps?

  • @DwightyTighties190 said:

No, that would require effort on BHVR’s part, and they couldnt fix a single totem spawn for YEARS.

They fixed totem spawns? Since when? I had a game on nu-Macmillan the other day and my Ruin was beside a generator.

  • @NightmareKiller said:

I hope not, they would be a buggy mess.

I dunno how long you've been playing the game but most patches are a buggy mess, even when there isn't a new killer being patched in.

  • Don't fall into the "efficiency" meme of running perks to allow you to stack on gens with others. True efficiency is having every survivor on a different gen. Prove Thyself is just a placebo effect because the gen finishes faster than if you were doing it solo. The problem is stacking on gens allows the killer to pressure all survivors just by walking towards 1 generator, rather than all survivors being on different gens which forces the killer to have to get hooks to get survivors off gens. Also, each survivor repairing a gen past 1 reduces efficiency, so it takes longer to finish all the gens if you're doing them all together.

  • The only people who are excited are Resident Evil fans or casuals. I can't imagine anyone else is excited when this game has been mostly disappointments for 2 years.

  • In my experience, the average survivor and average killer are both toxic. People like to think it's just "the other side" that's toxic... it really isn't.

  • @Aven_Fallen said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2202682#Comment_2202682

Because getting to Rank 1 on either side means nothing. Like, everyone and their mother is at Rank 1.

Yet statistics show the overwhelming majority of players are nowhere near rank 1.

  • @scooba_scuba said:

I consider myself a top tier killer, as reaching r1 isn't much of a challenge. I've been playing this game heavily for 4 years now, primarily playing as killer

Jukes are for pros, loops are for people who think they're good. But unfortunately, hardly anyone jukes anymore.

The main problem with this game is looping. It's incredibly easy to do, takes little to no skill, and is BORING.

BVHR believes adding a Roblox chat filter is a step forward to reducing toxicity, when what they really need to do is make it so teams can't exploit the "no communication" in game by getting mic'd up and letting everyone coordinate the same boring tactic:

    Loop and gen rush.

Survivors will run around the same pallet several times until the killer is close enough to then drop the pallet. They'll wait to see if the killer breaks the pallet, because if not they can use that loop longer. From there, run to the next one.

    Double windows are the worst.

BHVR supports this gameplay and original spawning of toxicity. Rather than make a pallet forced to be dropped after ~2 passes during a chase, or a window only having 2 passes during a chase, or keeping all windows far from a second one or whatever...they encourage this extremely boring, mindless, and overly frustrating gameplay.

Say what you want, a "skilled" team can hands down outplay a skilled killer. If you disagree, then you still have a lot to learn about the game.

This. I don't even consider myself a great survivor as I mostly play killer. But I can loop the vast majority of rank 1 killers for 5 gens just by dropping pallets and holding w between loops. Its stupidly easy.

  • @Aven_Fallen said:

You might want to watch good Killer players instead of the one you named. In 99% of the games you can easily make mistakes as Killer and still win. I win most of my games and I suck as a Killer. But the Survivors are even worse than me, so I win.

And the number of really, really strong Survivor-Teams is so low, talking about tournament level here.

But as I said - watch good Killer Streamers and you will see, how often they win. And even tru3 wins most of his games, he just clickbaits a lot and even games where he loses 4 Gens early are often enough ending with a 4K for him (like, someone once did statistics for a few Killer Mains and tru3 had an average of 3K/game over 100 games...Which is above the 2k/2 escape which is the goal of the Devs).

Epic reply, assume I'm bad and give me the generic "bahhh there aren't that many really good survivors".

You claim true wins everything yet if you actually watched him you'd know how imbalanced he says the game is and says gens are WAY too fast.

  • @TheButcher said:

That was the first idea of a build. Now the meta is just using "I'm All Ears", but the biggest issue with PH is you really only ever land his Punishment when the survivor is animation locked.

Speak for yourself, I land punishment all the time. I never even bother faking the power because I know I can land it. Maybe try practicing.

  • Buying the Killer with shards is still supporting the devs. It may not cost you anything but it shows the devs that they are producing content people want. Every time you play the killer, you are advertising it to players who don't have that killer. You're promoting it. And if even one person buys that killer, congrats, you just helped the devs make money. Honestly with the lack of criticism BHVR has received over this botched launch, this game is going down a dark path.

  • Tunneling is not a wise or strong strategy because constant BT saves and DS make it hard to do. That being said you sure as hell can't afford to attempt a 12 hook strategy against good survivors, the gens will be done by the time you reach 6. So most of the time you have to hook one person, hook another, then look for that first person again. It's not anyone's fault other than the devs for forcing Killers to be constantly pressured into making perfect plays or risk losing everything.

  • If winning isn't important, there shouldn't be ranks. But, there are ranks. So winning is important.

  • terrible idea

  • @PubStar87 said:

Why wasn't this moved to Feedback like my post was?

  • So your argument for why Freddy needs to be nerfed is "he has strengths".

    lol

  • I sincerely doubt it. Reworks take a huge amount of time with BHVR, and they come one at a time. They've already said Clown is next.

  • Really disappointing comments by the dev regarding game balance. Taking 6 - 12 months to make simple number adjustments to weak/unused perks is just lazy, no two ways about it. We've had a fairly stagnant Survivor meta for what feels like over a year now. Really the only addition to the perk pool is Soul Guard, and only because it's downright broken when combined with Unbreakable and Decisive Strike. We still have Survivors jumping into lockers right in the Killer's face because of DS, which is just like, completely unrealistic and shatters the experience of being a Survivor running for their life from a bloodthirsty killer. I would say the dev's stopped caring about that aspect of the game if they weren't pushing out beautiful map updates trying to make the game darker and spookier. So why is the gameplay still a clown fiesta?

Basically it seems like the dev thought he could deflect any balance concern with statistics. Thing is, balance is not the same as fun. Object of Obsession is not fun. It kills fun. Remember Legion on their release? They were a mediocre killer at best. Still are, but not the point. They were incredibly UNFUN. Had nothing to do with Legion being balanced or unbalanced, they were fairly weak and still managed to be so unfun for the game people just disconnected at the sight of Legion for months.

So do a lot of things in this game that still exist out of pure laziness and being stubborn. (Pink Mori, 1 Shot Hatchets, Keys, No penalty for hard camping, RNG tiles that can create borderline infinites, vast numbers of safe/no mind game pallets, stale killer/survivor meta comprised of 4-6 perks per side)

  • Yep, it just feels like if you get a good start as killer, survivors won't play out the game. They're only interested in landslide wins.

  • @Funguu said:

You forgot the killer I came here for. Legion?

It's my personal belief that low tier killers such as Pig and Legion require too much of a rework for any small tweaks to really matter. Also I don't really have any ideas for them :P

  • Personally I think the power is too clunky. Wraith already feels bad to play because uncloaking (and to a lesser extent, cloaking) feel so cumbersome. Also, climbing on any surface would require a total overhaul of every map to allow that to function. It would be cool for sure. But I don't really know how useful it would be. Just sounds like it would be incredible buggy.

My opinion on Nesting Grounds, a perk that passively stuns a survivor for 40 seconds then mori's them, that's insaaaanely overpowered. All a killer would have to do is zone the other survivors for 40 seconds, which isn't even 1 gen. This is basically pig's reverse bear trap on steroids.

Regarding Sense, is this activatable? The way it's worded it sounds passive. Again this perk is very overpowered. Giving the killer the location of all nearby survivors on demand kills a huge part of the game, which is finding survivors/hiding from the killer. It also doesn't really fit the narrative of the Xenomorph reducing his terror radius to 0, meaning this perk does nothing while a killer is stealthed.

The first part of Obey the Queen is just Nemesis... the second part isn't clear, are you saying the killer gains 5% movement speed PER TOKEN? Just so you're aware that's higher than a 4.6 m/s killer with 3 stacks of bloodlust.

Not trying to be a dick, Xenomorph as a killer would be hella cool but the power is kinda already done, and the perks are way overtuned.
