I'm not defending people who just straight up camp in every single scenario.
But I will say, sometimes you gotta camp. Unless it's end game, who cares I would rather the survivors just leave.
-
If this game is graphically "state of the art" then the gaming industry is doomed.

No, the dude that is the grammar police on a dbd forum.
Did you know what OP meant? No need to correct them if you did.
You want to write your threads in perfect English, feel free. But why reply to a thread only to correct grammar? That contributes nothing to the discussion and , really, only insults someone. Someone who is probably posting in haste or using the forums for fun discussions and not an English exam.
People like you are the reason the word "literally" doesn't mean anything anymore.
Also, if you are insulted by a correction in grammar, that's your deal. Take responsibility for your own emotions.

I think I'm about to break 6 million BP and still haven't gotten better than BBQ 1 on Nemesis.

I have been called a toxic camper for patrolling because i saw scratch marks or tunneling becuase they used ds or they ran into me so i dont understand what qualifies as toxic for us killer mains as everything seems labeled toxic other then us sitting in a corner and not doing our objectives
Some survivors expect you to play sub-optimally while they themselves play as optimal as possible. (Killer has to chase healthy guy, Survivors rush gens without healing etc) It's bad logic but what can you expect, many survivors basically treat Killer players like they are NPCs for their enjoyment.

According to pretty much every post you make, EVERY game you play is an easy 4K for the killer at 5 gens. Having been on the survivor side of a game or two like that, no one pips in those situations, so you would think you'd know the answer to your own question.
Or you could be exaggerating about how your rounds actually go. Or about your rank. Or both. Who knows.
For people reading this thread who are actually looking for serious insight, as others have said, sitting on gens isn't enough. You need some form of altruism and interaction with the killer in order to pip up at higher ranks, Red Ranks in particular.
It's pretty obvious, based on all his threads, that he's from that small group of survivors that thinks the game is really unfair towards them and killers are overpowered. Despite the fact that he's already said his favorite e-celeb is Ayrun, the 8k hour survivor main who does nothing but run killers for 5 gens every game and utterly humiliate them with flashlight save after flashlight save.
All you need to know about van: He's bad, he's unintelligent, and his bait is weak. Case in point, please observe one of his more recent posts where he says Dead Hard needs to be buffed and Killers need to be nerfed to 4.2 m/s. (That's 105%, Tier 1 Myers speed)

Are you camping and tunneling? Maybe try a new strat and see if the anger mail stops.
Everything is considered camping and tunneling from your perspective, bubs.

I see a lot of complaining on here about how awful and difficult it is to play killer, how unfair the game is, yet most of you are killer mains. So why is that?
I played killer only for a long time and it was just too easy. After that initial learning of the game, I never had to get better or develop new skill so I switched to survivor. I also like the teamwork aspect. So, why do you continue to play killer if it’s so bad and makes you angry?
My god your killer whining posts are really out of control.

I doubt "game sux now" is an accepted reason for a refund.
I mean, that's basically how Steam reviews work nowadays. A game can go from 96% positive to 58% positive with 1 bad patch, pretty sure this happened when Legion launched.
-
If I play basement bubba: Survivors rush all the gens and leave the 1 guy to die.
If I'm against basement bubba: All my allies run down the basement clumped up and hook bomb without BT, even though the hooked person had Kindred and everyone saw Bubba camping the entire time.
-
Personally I would like to refund at least half the killers as I never play them and their perks are hot trash. It took me like 5 million BP or more just to get BBQ 1 on Nemesis, and I still don't have BBQ 2. But I have rank 3 of some seriously epic perks such as Bloodhound, Furtive Chase, Rancor etc etc
-
The devs do not listen to Otz or anyone else. At best they base every decision off their strange data collection that tells them things like "Pig is the strongest killer at red ranks".

I like this idea as I am 95% soloing. I have to say thank you to whoever posted that arms moving on hook means killer is camping. I had no idea. I was always wondering why I was rarely taken off the hook. Now I know.
It's one of those things that will never have a widely accepting meaning. I have seen just as many people say "waving your arms = being camped" as I have seen people say "waving your arms = come save me". I have even seen people say they teabag the killer to "be friendly". Yeah. If you want to be unhooked more your best bet is Kindred.

Nice insults. I can see I struck a nerve but I’m on rank 4. Thanks though. Maybe you should work on your own play style vs. insulting others on a forum all day. Cheers.
I didn't insult you lol
-
Daily reminder they nerfed Moris into obscurity 6 months ago and all we've heard about keys is "we have a rework idea, we may have some info to share at a later date".
-
Nemesis is mediocre, what's new? You have to be careful using streamers as anecdotal data. Their main agenda is to maintain and grow viewership so what they say is never as simple as the truth.
-
I mean I'm not trying to be a dick here but once you play a decent amount, you already know where Gens spawn, so the perk is fairly useless... unless it's a new map or The Game.
-
It's because of this post I remember that grey ranks games are mostly 4 nubcakes being 12 hooked by a perma T3 myers at 5 gens. Thanks for the warm memories OP. You'll get out one day. Cheers.

@Zozzy said:
Sick of being tunnelled and camped while killers are sick of the gens being done in 4 minutes.
Yeah, except most survivors will tell you "Bro, Gens are the only objective." yet expect you to ignore your objective and "be nice" by chasing the healthy survivor instead of the injured one who was saved in front of your face without BT.
-
@Chocolate_Cosmos said:
Classic. I was playing Freddy yesterday, never tunneld anyone, hooking everyone as much as I can (which is bad strategy for a effective killer, you want to focus on 1-2 survivors and keep hooking them and then deal with the rest). They reached the end game, I hooked a Claudet and just move to find around exit gates someone else, found Jill and she suddenly rush it to that Claudet, so I want to down the Jill but Claudet gets in the way (no borrow time from Jill, awesome) and I down her without purpose to chase her. Down both of them, hook both of them.
Quess what... She got super salty (Claudet) on ME! Not at all at that Jill who unhook her without BT in front of my face and on top of that all run into me... Like #########? xD
Even if you play the most nicely way, there will ALWAYS be someone who don't like something about you no metter if you are the most nice and fair killer on the planet.
Don't you know whenever you hook someone you're supposed to go the other corner of the map, sign the "happy birthday" song twice, then find a totally new survivor?

Better than GUUUAAA GOOOAAAHHH AGGUUUUAHHHH GOOO GOOO GUHHH GUHAAHHH GUHHHH

MMR is only a quality of life change for Survivors. Putting Killers like myself against the top 5% or whatever just highlights the glaring imbalances in the game. This philosophy still rings true: Bad Killers beat bad survivors. Good Survivors beat good killers.

Spine chill should be kept as is. I dont think it should need a nerf/buff/rework. Honestly, so many killers have won against it so it doesnt even matter.
When are people like you going to learn that it's about FUN not WINNING. I win the majority of my killer games, I seldom have fun in any of them. Spine Chill ruins stealth killers, that is about as unfun as it gets.
-
Make it do something else. Premonition and Spine Chill basically do the same thing and Spine Chill is way too good.

I've been posting this all day. It gets worse when you look in to the stats of his power. He's supposed to apply hindered to survivors when they get infected, but you'd never know because as it works right now you can never capitalize on it. The speed boost alone negates the hindered status effect. Right off the bat, that alone counters it. No way to capitalize from it when they get boosted and are already halfway across the map. Second, even if you took away the speed boost, you STILL would never be able to notice or even take advantage of the hindered effect for two reasons. The first is that whenever he hits you you his tentacle he still has a cooldown animation for his attack. But the worst part, the thing that when combined with everything I said so far, is that the hindered effect lasts for a LAUGHABLY small amount of time.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/ZRLQT9MNAYXT/screenshot-20210617-154708-chrome.jpg
0.25 seconds of hindered is all they get when they get infected... So even without the speed boost literally negating the effect, even without it due to his attack cooldown, he still can't do anything for 1.75 seconds while he's locked in to his cooldown animation. So yeah he literally has a useless effect as part of his power that he can never ever take advantage of. They need to rework his power, badly.
Thanks for posting this, I don't think enough people are aware of how miniscule his snare is. It's practically unoticeable.

Flashlight saves definitely require too much precision from the survivor. Timing them is too difficult and unforgiving, I have seen countless instances of flashlight saves failing that I'm convinced should have been successful. If the killer is suffering blindness when completing the pickup animation, as you said, it should totally count as a save. Flashlight saves have the potential to be game-changing, but they are virtually impossible to land. There should be some leniency for the player attempting the save, it simply should not be this difficult.
You are not entitled to a flashlight save just because you want one.
-
Why does it have to be so precise? Because you shouldn't be able to completely undo an entire chase just because "clicky clicky".
-
Whether you 4k or 0k all the stress and pressure is put onto the killer to perform. Ultimately, this is the worst aspect of this game. As Steah and thousands before have said this is because of several bad design issues. Killer is stressful, survivor is chill. Change that, and it won't matter nearly as much about killer viability and balance and such.

@Sluzzy said:
Another gift to high mobility killers as if they aren't strong enough. I already predicting that Claudette being snipped by a Blight or Billy within 9 seconds of the match starting so when survivors are the strongest, they'll be no opportunity to get ahead.
It's a big problem.
I know survivors should never get caught the whole point of the game is to teabag with your friends at the exit gates gosh BHVR making killers overpowered as usual am I right?
-
@Shooby said:
It's probably the decreased movement speed from charging tentacle strike that makes him feel slow in chase. That, or because Nemesis is built like Thanos.
And now I want a Thanos skin that can snap half the survivors away.
-
Okay but let's be fair here, if you're playing against 10 tunneling camping killers in a row, are you really expecting the average person to continue trying out a meme perk when DS/Dead Hard lets them actually play the game longer? I'm not saying you're wrong, most survivors do nothing but the same build the last few years. But BHVR has done very little in the way of giving them better or equivalent perks. Same with Killers. Most perks just suck... badly.

The stats don’t lie. Most games are 4K for killer. If your sweating for a 4K every round, that’s a you problem my friend. Hang in there.
epic troll bud

lmao killer has been nothing but a test of stress and patience for years op
-
When the game is balanced around killer being stressful to play and survivor being chill, yeah, you're gonna get 20 minute survivor queue times.

Who cares. It's 2 addons and he got other addons buffed. People will find reason to complain about every nerf but then ignore the fact that they've said they had a change for keys planned for a while.
It's funny how you're trying to argue one point but your evidence actually supports a different argument.
-
What I find funny is it took them years to buff him and weeks to nerf him again.
-
@HaunterofShadows said:
people are putting him in b to low a tier idk what your talking about
Name 1 person who put him in A tier who isn't a BHVR sponsored streamer like Otz.
-
He's only fun to me because he's new. Stopped being fun after 12 or so games. He isn't very good either, probably low B Tier. His perks aren't very interesting or good aside from the initial tracking perk.
-
^ this guy got owned 1 time by a zombie and wants the killer nerfed because of it
-
Just another killer that wasn't very well thought out or tested, and went live with no changed because BHVR is tone deaf to feedback.
-
I will forever be pained by the irony that Billy was nerfed for being "too good" while Nurse sips from her glass of wine atop her tower of power.
-
You're talking to a forum that currently believes Wraith is overpowered.
-
Or how about just an "opt out" option for playing vs 3-4 mans.
-
Something needed to be done about them years ago, they're taking their sweet time. They don't care that game quality for killer is bad. It's all about making survivors happy.
-
@Orion said:

Wraith was considered overpowered when the game launched as well, as I mentioned.
Every killer was considered overpowered when the game launched, even when killer shack had 2 windows, game had no entity blocker and you could fast vault just by holding shift, all loops had 2 pallets, people still managed to die and cry op killer.
-
I still can't believe we live in an age where WRAITH is considered overpowered. Even if its just by forum trolls.

"I rarely used it".
Epic argument. I'm sure they'll get right on reverting it for you.
