Only reason I ever see a hag get a 4k is cause the survivors just don't know how to work around her traps cause almost no one ever plays this killer? Did a streamer say she is good?
a good hag player is as scary to go against as good nurse player

Hi all. Huntress is not one of my most favoured killers (I know git gud etc) but I am finishing off the trophies and finding grinding for 'Skilled Huntress' a particularly irritating experience. I mean 100 DOWNS. FROM 24 metres away? It should just be 100 downs from any distance or 100 HITS from 24 metres. Or am I just being a big tart? Thanks.
its pretty easy if you play huntress alot just go for long distance hatchets. I feel like 90% of the survivours dont even understand you can throw that far and they never even try to dodge.

well make it is more reliable id guess it will only see good use in coordinated swf
-
10 minutes and above starts getting boring.
-
Tested yamaoka on ptb and could be almost completely unseeable with lisa. The red poked out a little bit but barely at all i think blendette will be completely unseeable in many places.
-
Console gamers skill is somewhat limited by them playing with a controller but that doesent mean they are bad. I have seen way worse people on pc before crossplay was out. The average skill rating seems very similiar across the platforms and i dont know why people complain so much about X side being worse.
-
I guess never as they are trying to fix the mmr system. feelsbadman

Why is it a waste of time? If both sides are okay with it there’s nothing wrong with that.
Because farming requires no thought or skill which makes it very uninteractive and boring. I would assume people play the game to have fun not to be bored. Any time not having fun while playing a game is a waste of time.

I don't do it personally, but it's certainly not a waste.
Maybe your opinion isn't fact?
i guess if you really want bp for something and dont have time but id rather dc if someone starts farming so i can get to an actual game faster.
-
Because escaping is very rarely rewarding but making a tight save at the end of the game almost always is.
-
Alot of people are just trying to bait a reaction out of you or generally are bad at the game and refuse to get better. Stop taking them seriously just take it as something you can laugh at.
-
People actually waste time farming?
-
Most players in this game are mediocre and the matchmaking has never been very good it just throws people togehter.
I can understand it feels hopeless to get stomped but you can always improve and lessen the time you get stomped drastically.
I like how op used true as example even though he isnt even close to the best killers and true still gets 3k/4k most of the time when he plays killer.
If you want the game to be balanced around tournament squads as killer i hope you will have fun in a game that you lose 1% of the time without any effort as most people arent very good at all. Personally i already get bored if i stomp.
-
Make your own win condition and you will have way more fun with the game. It can be some thing clear like 3k or 4k or something sillier like 4 bbq stacks.
-
Red ranks have always been easy to get to what do you mean now?
Just take it as comedy gold when you see someone urban evading around its pretty cute to see someone so immersed.

this thread is full of clowns and its damn entertaining

The og chase music is better than anything they have released after.

@Madjura reduce the resolution

@LowSpecGamersMatter TLDR;
######### teammates or good teammates make no diffrence when the killer chases you. I find swf boring because i get chased less and soloq more entertaining because i get chased more. I cant understand why bad teammates make you angry when you get to do the most fun part of the game more.

@just_teme I didnt mean hiding the whole game. Only before the switch is turned on "stage" before Gen can be fixing. Its the same as end game stage where Survivors have to rush and escape, as the opposite.
@VSchmitt Survivors can not repair Gen until the Switch is turned on, so Killer can only M1 sounds fair to me. They still able to find and chase/hit them before the Switch is on.
it needs to be more complicated as one person can just take the aggro and the switch will be flipped in the first seconds anyways rendering it nearly useless
-
I have been playing after the first 10 hours just because of the chase. My teammates skill doesent apply to the chase between me and the killer so soloq has never been a downside for me however in swf groups its more optimized and im not the only one that can last in a chase so games go faster i spend more time on generators its just more boring. I guess bamboozle does annoy me sometimes but its usually only when the area is a dead zone and a window is the only way to loop without getting hit immediatly.

I am seeing not just mods but other players defending the whole Rank means nothing and it is a soft way of determining a players skill. They also say it just means that player plays a ton.
This is simply not true. You do not just get to red rank killer or survivor by playing 1000 hours and sucking. You need to do things to meet criteria to pip and rank up.
As survivor you need to do gens and save people and win chases. You cant just see the killer and fall on the ground and go oops i am dead but I played 1000 hours so I am ranked now. It does not work like that.
As killer you cannot see the survivors and lose chases and not pressure gens and expect to rank.
I do agree yes Ranking is a bit easy but I have almost 1000 hours of play and never been Rank 1 on either side. I mean by what people are saying I should be rank 1 because I play a lot but it simply is not true. I have some good games and some bad games. Some games I Pip and some I DePip.
Rank DOES equal skill because it shows the killer can and does know how to win chases. They have an idea of what perks work together and how to apply pressure. On survivor side it shows the survivor knows how to loop and win chases and can save fellow players and do gens without worry.
Overall I do not mean to seem rude but if rank never mattered then why have any rank or matchmaking system? It is because even the developers know you cannot put a Rank 1 with a Rank 10-20 and think they are at the same level of skill because it is not simply just play time but it is SKILL.
Sorry just wanted to put that out there and I know it is just another persons dumb opinion so please ignore me. I hope you all have a good weekend and your matches be great.
The reason why people say rank doesent matter is because rank 1 by defintion should be the best of the best players with thousands of hours however you also get 100h people there that are very new to the game which makes even rank1 such mixed bag and the better you become the worse you notice your teammates being. DBD has 20 ranks but you could fit just rank1 players easily into 10 to 20 diffrent tiers of players. Also winning condition and skill in this rng heavy game is hard to track with bots and algorithms which makes many of good players never get below rank10 as they only play once or twice a week. But people who farm points for tons everyday will get to rank1 just by farming not by trying to get better
TLDR:
Playtime correlates with skill way more accurately than rank does which is what people are trying to say to you when they say rank does not matter.

But, he can be looped easily, and Oni outclasses him in the snowball potential.
My point was that devs will most likely try to make the thing he is good at worse in compensation. I find it really dumb as myers without good addons is relatively easy to beat. It was just an observation of the devs behaviour.
-
If the killer chases one guy the entire time in a corner of the map which in current mmr hell is very normal the only variable is how fast will it take for the rest 3 to find the gens.
-
@ToxicMyers said:
i personally thought so as well. Since usually if the survivors know what tf you doing then they can starve the hell out of you. When you get starved its kinda hard to actaully get out of tier 1. I have been playing this game longer than my last discussion so i kinda understand the game more. I mean there's a reason most good players put him as a c or d tier killer
Myers has insane snowball potential especially with infectious fright so if they buff his early game which would be nice i wouldnt be surprised if the devs nerfed the hell out of that snowball making him worse in total.

I think killers as a collective are easier to buff and nerf than survivors. Survivor buffs/nerfs usually have a lot more unintended consequences.
Most things you buff killers with are going to have barely any unintended loopholes for use in situations it wasn't meant for, For example buffing the length of the lunge is always just going to increase odds of hitting a survivor with a lunge, with little way to abuse it.
Survivors are much more the type to literally use everything they have to survive. They are also more reliant on perks as they don't have special abilities like killers. So if you nerf vault speed, the vault speed build will become more popular but also meaning that 2 perk slots will be filled for survivors(Nerfing them more than intended), Buffing vaulting speed would do the opposite and make that build less popular leaving more open slots.
It isn't that much more difficult to balance survivor, but it just will usually have more unintentional effect.
Balancing killers individually is the hardest but killers as a whole is easier.
Either way I'm pretty sure it's just safer, better & more fun to buff killers
If you cant reliably do well without any perks as survivour you are not very good lol

I didnt play Survivors for a long time. First time facing Corrupt intervention in Lery.
Unlike most of the time jump right into Gen at the start. Everyone had a whole minute walking, hiding from Killer made me enjoy the match. I really like evading.
I heard somewhere that in the future, early game stage giving a switch that has to activate to able fixing Gen. Though I really hope Killers can not use his power before the switch activation (or Doctor/Clown would be op)
Cant wait for that day to come.
I understand that if you enjoy hiding this would seem like a good idea but most long term survivours play for the chase and just do gens while they are not being chased and it would most likely make as many people unhappy that they are forced to play in a certain way at the beginning for no apparent reason. It would most likely just create a mess at the forums. Also it would make calm spirit meta and remove all clowns and doctors upsides from this change.
-
I just max level all survivours you dont really need any bps when you play surv so might aswell dumb them to something. I do enjoy having all the perks avaivable and just doing random builds as survivour as it is completely non dependant on perks and addons.

I loathe this perk.
Its a complete nightmare to face against a 4 player SWF team that all have the perk equipped.
I dont see why it would be a nightmare if you know the timing you can just bait it if you know its coming if not the survivour buys few seconds to run away that the could have been doing for longer if they hadnt stayed in a locker till the killer is next to it. Its really fun to use but rarely actually good.
-
Only few killer games after mmr was introduced but after around 30-40 survivour games i still get rank 20s in my team and with good luck a purple rank killer that isnt very good. I have played against 3 good players in that time.

Players get butt hurt, fly at the forums to type up a tantrum.
I’m guilty of this.
Well i mean the game has alot of frustrating aspects but the healthiest way to get over is to take small break length depending how mad you are. People meme about matthew when he said to go play civ but honestly taking coffee break or playing something else for a little bit is very good advice and can be applied in irl aswell. It makes you look at things more objectively when you have time to destress about it man was spitting good life tips and people memed on him pretty feelsbadman. Well mostly its because his tone sounded very stuck up that people got mad they didint really look at it from his point of view.

Maybe... but i hope it isnt true.
