Please don't get me wrong, but the one has nothing to do with the other.

I feel you. Just play as a team until the potential "breakpoint". By that time you should be able to tell how good your team was, how and what perks the killer played, so you can make a call if you're able to finish all gens or not. If you're not confident in your team there's no shame going for the hatch or gate. There are a lot of tools for hiding. If you feel you're in a 2 or 3 man just play it safe and treat them like streamsnipers. Don't rotate your camera and just look up or down so they can't call out your position. And remember they can only see your aura while on the ground, on a hook or on the killers shoulders.
Most of the time i don't care too much anyway, i just wanna go next.
Main reason are killers slugging for the 4K. Pick your poison which method is quicker.
That's a really good tip with the camera rotation, thanks for that, I hadn't thought of that. But I don't think it would be too difficult for BHVR to limit the camera, like with deceased team members. That would of course simplify and fix the whole thing.

They could also have perks like bond to know where you are without a teammates info. This happens every so often with the trolling teammates for me as well.
That is absolutely correct. However, I have taken this into account in my reports. You can see it on the endgame screen. Otherwise, I wouldn't have reported anyone if it hadn't been obvious.

If that's the case this is a anomaly and almost never happens how are you sure they are in a swf to begin with?
Of course, this only happens irregularly and is fortunately not standard. It's quite simple, you are either traveling by voice or via livestream. There is no other explanation

I got one of the last keys, it's nothing special. Don't worry, it will be back with some form of code, drop, etc. Nothing in this game is exclusive, nearly everything is coming back at some point.
Unfortunately, there are some exclusive things in the game
-
I would like to add one last point. Such actions should definitely be reported with video evidence. I assure you, support will take care of it, just like in my case

This is nothing more than a difference in play styles. Most streamers like to showboat and get in the Killer's face and a lot of players like to emulate this way to play. These players also tend to think this is the only "right" way to play Survivor too. It doesn't help that many streamers make disparaging comments to their viewers about the stealthier, more self-interested survivors. So you're going against the grain a bit with how you play for a lot of the community and yeah, getting ratted out can be the result. I imagine this might be reportable as teaming with the Killer but I'm not 100% sure. It's also frustrating as Killer to try to find Survivors that hide when they know there's no way to power the gens, so don't expect any mercy if they find you. Something to keep in mind. You've still got to try to progress the game and do gens or you'll be holding the Killer hostage.
Stealth is a 100% a viable playstyle and in the game by design, so if you want to look after number one when things start to go very badly, there's no shame in that. You should play however you like.
I agree with this 100%. Yes, it is notifiable. I was live-streamed just the other day. One of the survivors who was killed told his teammate my position via the endgame camera, and the teammate permanently led the killer to me. I then wrote a report with video evidence. A short time later, I also received feedback from support and the players were also punished
I like to play stealth and that also should be respected

Honestly just keep playing the more you play the better you will get and the easier it will be. If you resort to tunneling just know its going to make the game harder for you in the future since you wont learn better chase and pressure tactics.
My contribution is about the perspective of my survivor

i've tried verifying the game files
Reinstalling
Restarting my pc
And nothing has helped
EDIT someone told me to uninstall and reinstall steam it didn't help
Okay, if that doesn't help, definitely send the crash report to BHVR and contact tech support with the error code. As a precaution, I would save the msconfig and dxdiag files so that you can hand them over to support if necessary.
That's all you can do i think

I like how BHVR themselves didn't even promote this giveaway on their Twitter, and now all the keys are already claimed.
I thought that we were done with these types of charms after the Dwightcrow stuff from a few years ago? I also thought that we weren't going to be doing exclusive stuff in general?
That's really frustrating. I don't like exclusive either

It is, yes! We regularly read through it take notes. Though I will say that there's a big distinction between feedback and a suggestion. Feedback is when someone shares their thoughts on something or points out a problem, suggestions are when someone proposes a solution to a problem.
The feedback is most important to us. We want to see what people think of stuff and why, as well as how widespread those feelings are (do many people feel the same way, or is it heavily divided). It helps us spot common critiques and helps us decide what are the best ways to solve the problems that people have. For example, if a perk has two effects and most people are frustrated by only one of them, we would know that nerfing the other effect wouldn't solve that issue.
Suggestions on the other hand are also nice, but not quite as useful. They can still help us gauge interest to different kinds of changes by looking at other people's reactions, but realistically there's a very slim chance any particular suggestion will make it into the game due to sheer probability. Say there's a meta perk that many people find frustrating. There might be dozens (if not hundreds or more) suggestions on how to change it, and each one will be different from the last. In the end, the discussions that come out of them are still very important and can help us spot additional concerns & flaws, and decide which is the best way to proceed.
In short, yes, we read through it often, just try not to get your heart set on any specific suggestion because it's unlikely that one in particular will be chosen!

It's many jobs, in fact. There's an entire team of community managers who are there to take feedback (among other things). We've even got team members around the world to collect feedback from some of the largest non-English communities as well.
Thank you very much for this great answer. That was very understandable

I don't think it's good that this addon rewards a killer for playing bad with free kills at the end. Even when I'm playing killer myself. I just faced a good team that should have been a 0k for them, but thanks to this perk I was able to turn it into a 3k. It just doesn't seem right.
Noed is perfectly fine for now, because it's not the killer's fault if the survivors don't care about the totems, but only focus on the generators. Even in the Endgame, they still have the chance to clear the hex.

I know this might come off as weird, but I just find the perk combo so boring to play up against because you are not only blocking off one gen for an amount of time, but every gen is blocked and the fact that dms and grim stack with each other i find pretty unfair because at this point i had 5 games in a row end a 5 gens because of this perk build. And before people come after me and say I only play survivor, I play both sides and used the perk myself. I don't see how this perk build is "fair". In any way at all, I might need some outside perspective on this, but for me, this current killer meta is just really bad.
The Killer meta is just as boring as the Survivor meta. Adrenaline, Windows Of Opp, ect. are simply too good at the moment

There will be more, we do those surveys on a regular basis. In the meantime, I would strongly urge you to share any thoughts you have in the feedback section if you're alright with that. The surveys aren't the only way we collect feedback, they just help us reach a wider group of people who may not want to share their thoughts publicly.
Don't get me wrong, but is the feedback section any good at all? I can hardly imagine that much of what is suggested there will actually be implemented

New layer of objectives is needed.
- Finish 5 gens (90s per one) to power the control panel
- Use the control panel (60s, cannot regress , 2 of them on the map) to unlock 7 different storage containers (2 of them contain gate keys)
- Find the keys and unlock the gates (normal unlocking method as it is currently, 20s)
While on killer side :
- Hook survivors as usual
- After sacrifice they end up in the void realm, go there and mori them
- If they remain in the void for longer than 2 minutes , a portal opens and they return to the trial (they remain on death hook stage and injured). But if hooked again they are sacrificed for good instantly.
wow, that's a really interesting suggestion. I would support it. Provided it was technically feasible

Cannot agree more with this. On both sides I feel like the game is too fast. Solo queue I get to end game a lot now even though I die like 85-90% of the time. On killer if I play a bad game I get crushed if I play a good game they still get all the gens done and have a chance at 1-2 escapes. It's insane. Really frustrating to play killer atm. Idk what needs to be done to fix this but it is not good for the game. I wish the devs would share some data on avg game time and avg number of gens completed. It has to be near 5 complete per game now.
It would be desirable if this situation were to change in the future

When your entire day is taken from you 4 minutes is precious time buddy 😃
Are you talking about precious time? I'm sorry, but every person who plays computer games has enough time. It doesn't matter whether it's a minute or an hour. Playing computer games is generally a waste of time.

I think a short cooldown is really good for this perk

@Krazzik said:
I mentioned this in another thread but the pace of the game is just way too fast thesedays. Both sides need to go into the game full speed and only make the most efficient plays if they wanna have a chance at winning.
That means gunrushing vs tunneling, second chance perks and genspeed perks vs gen slowdown perks, it's just not really that fun and I think it's possibly the biggest reason so many people are getting burnt out.
Of course not every single game is like this but when you get to even mid MMR it feels like a lot of your games become "can survivors rush gens before the killer tunnels someone out?" and I doubt anyone is having fun in a meta like that.
I see it exactly the same way. I'd like to play fun builds again, but then it's one defeat after another and that's no fun.

Buddy I work a shift that takes up my entire day since the rest of that time will have to go to sleeping preparing for my next shift, I don’t see myself in the wrong for wanting to move onto my next match but can’t because a killer wants to leave me on the floor so he can look for the last survivor. I’m not sorry for not wanting to be held hostage in my free time when trying to play a game I enjoy 😐
We're only talking about 4 minutes here and it's part of the game. What is there not to understand?
Believe me, there are worse things....

@menacing_goose said:
Can we add a force bleed out option between the last two survivors if the killer is slugging for a 4k. I get people want to win and what not but I’d rather not have my time wasted and move onto my next match because some sweaty killer absolutely needs the 4k and doesn’t want to risk a hatch escape…
absolutely against it. You are talking about time ( or no time ingame ) and playing a computer game. That is so counterproductive

To be very clear, PTB data is pretty much a non-factor. PTB data is incredibly unreliable since ranked matchmaking is disabled and everyone is still getting a feel for the changes/new content. We do not use PTB data to make decisions, we prefer to use feedback.
It's also incredibly difficult to pinpoint why someone let themselves die on the PTB. It's equally likely that they just wanted to face the new Killer and wanted to move on to the next match.
yep, thanks for the custom game function with the bots. I love it

@Beatricks said:
Depends on the survivors and the killer that you are playing.
Nurse on Wrecker's Yard? Yeah, completely doable.
Pig on Garden of Pain against a SWF with 4 BNPs, SBs and Adrenalines? Not happening.
What I want to say is simply that in this day and age it is no longer possible to achieve a 12-hook kill with a higher MMR without Anti generator perks. There simply isn't enough time left for that. The generators are simply finished too quickly. You can't exert so much pressure at the same time.
ok maybe Nurse is an exception
-
@xltechno said:
Whether this is possible depends on the skill level of the survivors.
This would be impossible if there were survivors with basic skills and the knowledge to choose when and where to go down. Aiming for 12 hooks against such people is scolded by the survivors as a play is troll.
Yes, that's exactly how I see it. Here's an example: you have a bad map. 4 generators are already activated and you decide to camp or tunnel your next target to apply pressure. This could work in theory and maybe in some games, but in principle most survivors think the killer has to reach 12 hooks. You notice this in the endgame chat at the latest. That's when people start complaining about the way the game is played.

I don't understand where the issue is with mangled. It's a non problematic status effect that is now being time limited for seemingly no reason. No haemorrhage being the reason is not valid either as that is the whole point of Sloppy Butcher.

With the rest of the killer roster due for updates, I'd wager the survivor win rate will go to around 35% by end of year.
Or will survivors magically "get good"?
It all depends on the build and the player. I only play Solo Survivor, because I love the Challenge and i don't want to offend anyone, but SWF feels like cheating to me.
