    It's not. And never was.

so many killers I’ve face d have said it

us vs them truly is the dead horse of all time…

if you want to go argue with killer players that argue them playing every game as if there's money on the line is because of survivors you can do that, but can you not keep pretending that's a single sided issue that one side needs to put in the work to solve?

players play to win, and decide on their builds and playstyle in ways that make them win. if the difference between the meta and non-meta is so profound that's a balance issue, not a player one.

I don’t recall saying I was here to argue I was wondering why complain about something that whether you like to admit it or not caused 🤷‍♂️

  • @AetherBytes said:

The issue with the "tunnelling is seen so often" thing is that the killer is pressured to remove someone from the game ASAP. With 4 survivors, thats 1 on hook, 1 going for save, 1 in chase and 1 on gens in the best case scenario (unless survivors ######### up massively somewhere). In most cases, it's closer to 3 on gens, 1 in chase, with small periods of above.

Removing a survivor turns it into 1 on hook, 1 saving, 1 in chase, 0 on gens at best, and 2 on gens 1 in chase at worst. Infinitely more manageable, as you're much more likely to disturb 2 on gens than 3 on gens. It's also why, on the other side of the coin, gen slowdown is meta; because effectively neutralizing 1 survivor's worth of gen progress has about the same effect.

I’m aware that tunneling can be used for pressure but my overall question was why complain about that being meta and a survivors play style when you’re forcing it there would be no need to run anti tunnel if you’re not tunneled and if you run it anyway without ever being tunneled it’s basically a wasted slot and as I said before pop pain res is in the meta and seen almost every match so why wouldn’t people feel the need to gen rush as often as they do now killers actions have more control over a game than a survivors and that decides on how people will play or have to play so why complain about it as a killer main

  • Also as for the haste argument that and seeing the dispelling sphere are the only ones I ever get cuz I consider the other two to be absolutely useless if it really helped I wouldn’t have a problem with it but it just isn’t enough

  • @Rulebreaker said:

... isn't it the point of the mage hand to punish being reckless with pallets? He also can't spam the hand so he has to make it count, or survivors can greed another loop.

The haste seemed enough for us last we tried and one of the points of the dispelling sphere is to dispell the magic items survivors can get (of which each can have 2, one item even sees the sphere).

how is it being reckless though not every map is the game where you can just drop anything without a care in the world without having to worry about running out of resources to loop trying to save resources while buying time for gens shouldn’t be something you get punished for

I also said that at low tier the game is killer sided and at high tier its survivor sided.

Your example was with low tier.

What you think isnt really a part of the debate, this is facts not fantasy. - i played a lot of killer in the past (6+ hours a day) and i can tell you that mmr exist, if i was stomping survivors for long enough i would get stomped by what i met of swf's in the long run, until i was lowered to where the games were more aligned. This ment sweatier games all the time.

I think everyone that played this game with just a decent skill will tell you that mmr does exist.

didn’t know comp blights we’re all casually chilling in low tier mmr especially since all of them wanna do win streaks and even if that were the case “low tier mmr” since we’re convince it exists it still wouldn’t be something that should stay if people in “low tier mmr” can’t do anything against it and constantly lose matches because of it 😐

Except you said 50% not 55% so that's clearly not what you meant and that's not how that works Pain Res is -25% of total progress and Pop is 30% of current progress meaning Pop never actually does -30% regression for example if a gen is 50% Pain Res will put it to 25% and let's say you got it back to 35% before they come over and Pop it would only do roughly 10.5% regression for a total of 35.5% regression, far from it actually being 55% regression.

Perhaps you should learn what the perks you complain about actually do before you complain about them.

Answer me this question how often do you think you’ll see killers kicking a low progressed gen with pop a gen two high progressed gens can get depleted from pop pain res all from a single hook or you could have a gen that you almost completed get hit with pain res stop the regression killer comes over and kicks it with pop and all that progress is now gone because more than likely you’ll be in chase so that gen will continue regressing until someone stops it 😐

  • @[Deleted User] said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3691765#Comment_3691765

That is a loaded question, if i have ever seen one.

    for more reasons

    1. If you strip both killers and survivors for perks, the killer is stronger. This is an Asymmetrical game and its ment to be like that (you should know).
    2. the game is killer sided at low mmr and survivor sided at high mmr, your example is low mmr (you should know this too).

Arguing that 1 side wins because of x or y perks is nonsense, the fix would be to remove perks entirely then, because 50% of the perks give us the edge we need to win, that is the whole point by using perks.

you literally said that one side could win because of adren, lithe, windows, or sprint burst though so how is arguing that this or that side could win because of them nonsense, not to mention I’m convinced mmr genuinely isn’t a thing I’ve been losing more and more matches because of tunneling and pop pain res and even people killing themselves on hook because they don’t want to continue playing in the match we’re in cuz the tunneling meta killer is so fun to play against and I still consistently getting comp blights 😃 and I’ve been talking about the killer meta in most my posts for quite a while now not a chance my mmr wouldn’t have been affected throughout this time and if it has been that would just make things worse because it would mean even with my mmr lowering I’m losing my matches because of pop pain res

  • @[Deleted User] said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/409860/pop-pain-res-nerf-when

Same can be said about Windows, Lite, Adrenaline, Sprit burst and so on.

Ok let’s ask this who has a higher chance of winning a bad killer with pop and pain res or a bad survivor with any of those perks you mentioned I’ve had matches where my killer has won only because of those perks I could throw on each of those perks you mentioned and it’s not gonna guarantee me an escape and I could almost guarantee I’d find it way easier to win killer matches with pop pain res than winning with windows adren or lithe

  • you get -25% from pain res and -30% from pop add them up and that’s -55% total until all pain res tokens are used but I guess putting that together is too much work 😃

  • @Sandt1985 said:

AT this point have to ask, what level of Gen Regression are survivors actually comfortable with?? Because it seems like most think the level we had 18 months ago was too much, and the level we have now is apparently still too much

-50% for four hooks until all scourage are gone and then another -30 just for a hook -200% total when all all scourage and then -240% for the pops after all pain res tokens are used that’s a total 4 gens worth of regression I didn’t know having to do 9 gens per match as a survivor was healthy but go off sis 🥰

  • @Yharwick said:

You think you want this but trust me you don't. If they do the meta just becomes Corrupt/Deadlock/Grim Embrace/DMS and we enter the "you just can't do the objective half the match" meta. Most of the reason Eruption was so obnoxious was because it did the same thing and we'd be returning to that except this time killers can just ignore gens completely and let the entity blockers do all the work.

I definitely do want pop and pain res nerfed I’m sick of any progress I do getting deleted all because of the fact that someone went down something that’s meant to happen in the game I don’t want to play a game where I’m just required to not go down and so is my team if I want any chance at winning 😃

  • @Depressedlegion said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3691519#Comment_3691519

I literally just copied your thing, it might not be the best comparison, but it's the closest thing to pop and pain res survivors have besides windows. Besides, id argue they are better, as their is very little requirement to activate sprint burst, windows and lithe( running, equipping it and vaulting respectively) compared to pops requirement of hooking and pain res extra requirement of hooking on a specific hook.

half the time sprint burst users will walk around most the match so they have it in chase instead of just letting exhaustion go down while they work on a gen and lithe users half the time will insta vault if you say that’s better than pop pain res which is basically -50% of gen progress you’re delusional and even after all pain res is gone it’s still -30% per hook from pop in no way shape or form is sprint burst and lithe better than pop and pain res

  • @Depressedlegion said:

    Nerf sprint burst and lithe

Keeping it short these same two perks have been winning many survivors their games it’s seen literally every match in every survivor build so when are these perks going to get changed (hopefully gutted)

You Saying this just tells me you want survivors to bend over backwards and hand you the win those perks can’t even be paired together like pop and pain res I guess you just want them to be like dh the perk that every killer cried about as if it wasn’t ping dependent and half a second of endurance

  • @nodforkiss said:

no, killers like gen regression just like how every survivor uses 4 second chance perks

tell me what 4 “second chance” perks survivors love so much

  • @concubined said:

With the current state of Decisive Strike where it's only a 3 second stun, good survivors knows that it is still a great perk, we understand it only means we need to path somewhere with resources we can work with after the stun. Raising the stun duration to 5 seconds only limits survivor skill expression by making the escape guaranteed, specially against weaker killers but really it's just a huge time waste for your team to rush gens.

A common misconception is that as a survivor you have a right to not be tunneled, with my own experience I can't count how many times I've watched ttv survivors literally report me for tunneling as if it's a bannable offense and have hate mails/threats sent to me for tunneling all the while I have never BM'ed (it's a waste of time not spent on pressuring gens). You are not entitled to the killer not continuing to pursue you after you've been unhooked, and anti tunneling perks and basekits are not a birth right as much as they're starting to appear to be.

Remember the very first meta shake up that had very positive impact as far as survivor builds finally having some diversity? Well prepare to see DS on every survivor in every game. Because this patch is the great flood on everything that’s good and holy and DS is the only passenger on Noah’s ark.

You know how killer’s “meta” builds are basically 4 gen slow downs? Well this is the survivor equivalent of that

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/FZBGNQGF9ZMM/img-7743.jpeg

but you don’t see survivors running this or is even considered meta, why?

Now imagine killers have the opposite equivalent of “DS, OTR, DH, Adrenaline” basically 4 perks to ensure you can tunnel out a survivor. Oh ya and now imagine the killer have that times 4, that’s survivor meta for you.

when you have many killers tunneling why wouldn’t people run anti tunnel perks 😐

Yup. With the mangled nerf, and the 8 regression limit nerf, and the other regression perks such as call of brine nerfs, and all non-regression related kick perk nerfs with the 8 regression, and various other perks...the only decent perks LEFT to run are PR\Pop\Grim. BHVR is nerfing everything into the ground for killers except for a VERY select few perks that are still good. Killers are incredibly limited now on perk use - ESPECIALLY the weaker m1 killers.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3686628#Comment_3686628

I almost play The Ghost Face exclusively - P100. Otherwise, it's pig, myers, slinger, and xeno. Just because the weaker killers are barely played doesn't mean we should ignore them - they are barely played BECAUSE they are so weak. They need some love, and all these killer nerfs and killing them.

I’m not saying weak killers should be ignore but it’s just how it is people would rather a strong killer over a weak one so you get a bunch of blights nurse this and that running meta, tunneling doing whatever and sooner or later something will have to change because of that. If they were to leave the game as it is when it’s in a bad state since it would be manageable when against a weak killer the game would die off since there are more people playing the strong ones over the weak ones

  • @xltechno said:

pop is a no-camp perk that promises survivors that a rescue will occur during that time. There is a limit to the number of times pain can be used, and it only affects the first gen, so if everyone is conscious of completing the gen and spreads out and takes turns aiming to complete the gen, the damage will be less.

Of course I get annoyed sometimes, but I don't complain because it's a killer's right. When I'm the killer, there are times when I get irritated with the survivors. However, in that case, it is the survivor's right.

Above all, these two perks will be revealed to survivors, so we promise there are only two left. Knowing the number and type of Killer's perks is a basic skill for any decent Survivor, but since they already know two things, if a Survivor screams every now and then and gets beaten up by a sloppy butcher, the Killer has nothing else left to do. Since there is no pwyf, you can establish a stable chase time without worrying about extra haste effects, and the match will not be ruined due to NOED.

people camp and tunnel running pop quite frequently though

  • @Man_of_triangles said:

It's mandatory on the weaker killers. Definitely really frustrating to see it on something like a Blight.

I mean sure you can say that but realistically who’s playing weaker killers anyway there’s no variety between the killers you run into as survivor either

  • @Yippiekiyah said:

Well if they're crutch perks then adrenaline is also.

  • @HexHuntressThighs said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/409388/opinions-on-crutch-perks

NoEd is the only crutch perk out of that list lol. Terminus doesn’t counter Adren because the 5 second sprint burst you get is still insanely strong and it’s a paid for perk that not everyone has.

I do think Adren is a crutch and I don’t use it anymore as survivor, it is very cheap that a killer can have multiple people injured/ hooked and then everyone is instantly fully healed and able to cross the map in a few seconds. Its absolutely absurd that I be punished for hooking a survivor when survivors hate slugging so much, but if I did slug you with Adren then you wouldn’t be fully healed.

Terminus does counter it sure you still get the speed boost but that would suggest that you think terminus would only be a valid counter for it if you get neither effects

  • @menacing_goose said:

I put crutch in quotations because that’s what everyone refers to the perks as crutch perks

Besides that only other thing I guess you could call a crutch perk are the only two perks I see on j every build pop and pain res 🙂

The community doesn't really have agreed definitions on anything. Maybe you'll get someone who comes in and is like 'yes, I called adren a crutch, here's my reasons why, and here are my thoughts on the other perks', but that would require quite a bit of setup.

I’ve seen many different people refer to adren as a crutch or second chance perk

  • @Raconteurminator said:

You said endgame or "crutch" perks, then exclusively listed endgame perks. It's quite clear you were calling endgame perks a crutch, otherwise crutch wouldn't have been in quotes (and you'd have also listed non-endgame crutch perks).

I put crutch in quotations because that’s what everyone refers to the perks as crutch perks and to be fair most the time and endgame perk can be what very easily starts to turn the game around for a killer given a situation 🙂

  • @BluSaph said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3685856#Comment_3685856

I wouldn't call it a crutch, it takes effort therefore it's not a crutch perk

I’m not saying you specifically but many people in the dbd community label adren as a crutch perk

  • @Raconteurminator said:

    Endgame perks =/= crutch perks.

Good thing I didn’t say endgame/crutch then I said endgame and crutch 😃

  • @SoGo said:

Noed is a crutch perk. You get value for doing nothing.

No Way Out, Remember Me, Blood Warden and Terminus all need you to do something to work. NOED doesn't.

Ok but the same could be said for adren you need to do your objective for it but it still gets called a crutch perk

  • @BluSaph said:

Blood Warden and Remember Me are not at all crutches. They're perks that are only strong at the end of the match. If a killer is good enough to not make it to endgame, they're worthless. If a killer is constantly in the endgame, they probably need perks to help them out a bit.

I also said endgame but I guess that word just didn’t exist in the sentence

It’s born of assumption and hyperbole. Our head cannon is wonderful but it does tend to lie to us to make ourselves feel better.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3685298#Comment_3685298

lol you didn’t ask for any changes though. You just ranted a one sided opinion about the state of the game.

This reply rants more, making all kinds of assumptions about what I’d think purely because I pointed out the flaw in your don't actually ask for anything but just rant and say you’re asking for something approach.

    Sometimes the comedy writes itself.

I didn’t ask for anything specific because I didn’t want to get into an argument with someone who wouldn’t want what I suggest changed buddy which is why I said have solo queue in mind when making changes and updates 😃. I’ve made several other posts about tunneling and the killer meta this and that and it always goes the same way so I’m simply not gonna give a specific request or suggestion so if you don’t mind go on about your day homie 😐

The subtle art of constructive feedback.

If I were to say anything about changing pop and pain res I bet you’d be crying about that too because killers won’t have any other perks to use or the 3 gen system that I’ve only ever seen against someone chasing in one area with surge and that wasn’t even through my match it was through a live stream for a streamer I watch no matter what I suggested to be changed you probably would have had a negative opinion on it so I chose to ask for changes with solo queue in mind and you still find a way to be a negative Nancy about it 😃

lets change survivor meta while we are in it then, im tired of seeing WOO, adrenaline, resilience, distortion, off the record, sprint burst, lithe and unbreakable.

WOO is quite literally only used for pathing reasons since you’ll know where pallets and windows are running windows won’t make you a better looper, adren one time use and is already going through a tweak, resilience puts you more at risk if you choose to stay injure for that 9% distortion hides aura and half the time people with distortion avoid contact with killer letting their team die, otr being used isn’t a shock a ton of people are tunneling and people would like to play the game so they run anti tunnel, sprint burst and lithe are exhaustion perks to help in chase and after dh nerf the only exhaustion perks worth using and quite literally I’ve seen so little in breakable and you can’t get value out of it unless you’re slugged

Please change the survivor meta. The generators are flying around my ears and I'm so bored with all the adrenaline junkies..... it's basically the same thing.

These debates unfortunately lead to nothing......

Adren is getting changed though and is legit an endgame perk with one time use so how is that a valid argument and a good amount of survivor meta perks have went through some changes. We got 3 new perks for survivor and they’re all useless basement perks they can’t add anything too strong cuz then it’ll end up having to be nerfed and half of the “survivor meta” perks aren’t even as good as people make them out to be

  • @Blueberry said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3682408#Comment_3682408

If that’s all you got then you need to go back and read it again since that isn’t what I said, or implied.

Gen kick revert, sloppy revert, stbfl revert, thana revert, ruin revert, all of these except stbfl is regression you said you saw no issue with pop and pain res and then you said something about not being able to see less regression because of how the matches pace 🙃

  • @Blueberry said:

I don’t think they’re an issue at all, but for the sake of boring and variety I can agree that we want to see other perks. They nerfed all the other good perks so the killers are just defaulting to all that’s left. We don’t need those perks nerfed, we need other perks to be made actually good so we have more options.

Revert the Sloppy change, revert old Thana to its good version, revert most the gen kick perk nerfs since it’s totally unnecessary now that we have the gen kick limit and for that matter make the gen kick limit only be active when we’re at 3 gens, it makes no since to be active at the start of the game and it kills gen kick perks. Revert Ruin back to 200%, 100% is trash. 200% Ruin was not an issue. Revert STBFL, last version was healthy and good design.

Nerfing overpowered or unhealthy perks is fine, but all these things I just listed weren’t unhealthy or overpowered. Nerfing these just removed them from the game and further narrowed the variety of perks you see used.

Now if you want to see less “gen slow down” perks I’m down for that as well, but the problem is that currently games are too fast without them so they’re required. Slow the game down and we can gut all the gen slow down perks simultaneously if you want to go that route.

All I got from this is that you want any form of slowdown reverted to its best form. Slowdown as it is isn’t an issue so let’s just bring all of that back 😃

  • @Starrseed said:

maybe its time to give perks something like a point system. every perk has points asigned and now you cant make to strong combos cause your points are not enough.

that could also be used as a means of balance since the point distribution could be changed rather then the perks.

as an exampel you have four categories 1point to 4 point. you can use one perk of every category to get to ten points or you can use two 4 point perks and one 2 point or two 1 point perks.

Honestly a very interesting idea to go off of

  • @Archol123 said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/408902/please-change-the-killer-meta

I mean I used to bring sloppy and surge, but sloppy got nerfed so well...

medkits got nerfed and people still bring them pain res got nerfed and it’s still the most used killer perk you say it as if it was nerfed to the point of basically being unusable

  • It isn’t killers are only focused on defending gens and survivors rushing them it’s not chase oriented in fact survivors are the main ones running perks for chase while killers are running regression

  • @Slowpeach said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3678023#Comment_3678023

There is a difference between playing to win and playing to win at all costs. Whatever though. Bottom line is, tunnelling no matter how many gens are left is optimal. Which is misery to go against. Something needs to give. But won't.

I main survivor myself you think I’d want tunneling I don’t but I understand that there are two sides to the games and in a situation where you’re losing as killer you’ll need a way to find and build pressure and tunneling is one of those ways which is why I think it’s find late game but don’t like it early game. Sure you can say there’s a difference between playing to win and playing to win at all costs but if I’m playing a game and expect to win all the time without having a difficult time then that makes me a fool who wants everything handed to me. You’re gonna struggle at times and during those times you’ll have a last resort if you want a chance at winning I’m not gonna say tunneling needs to be dealt with and if a killer who’s having a bad game and would need to tunnel for a chance to just sit there and accept defeat

  • @Slowpeach said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/408251/tunneling

Nobody is ever FORCED to tunnel. Nobody. You can gasp LOSE! OH NO! THE WORLD IS ENDING! ME LOSE A GAME AND TRY TO HAVE FUN IN WAYS OTHER THEN THE GAME TELLING ME I WIN!?! NO NO NO.

The game is just not built to be played competitively, it's far too imbalanced yet so many people on both sides try to do so. In competitive rule sets obviously it works and works well but public DBD matches are so far removed from that. Survivors have massive advantages and in competitive where they are significantly weaker tunnelling is still the dominant strategy.

Of course it's inevitable that with face camping being nerfed (don't tell anyone but you can totally still do it, it's just slightly less efficient) that more players would resort to tunnelling.

There's a lot of ways tunnelling could be dealt with and the game made more fun for everyone as a whole. Well everyone who actually wants to play an engaging contest and not just be told by an artificial source 'you win'. However this issue has been around for a long long long time and I don't see a fix coming in soon despite seeing loads of potential solutions.

I'm not going to go into them here, it's a waste of time. I've gone down this road too many times to count.

Buddy end of the day everyone is playing to win if a killer has little hooks with 2 gens left he’ll have to tunnel for a chance at a win or draw. I’m not gonna say anything about late game tunneling out of salt but early game is an issue

  • @Raconteurminator said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3677955#Comment_3677955

If 3 people can't do a single gen before someone has been hooked 3 times, that's not a tunnelling issue.

i mean everyone is currently only playing strong killers who could get some quick downs if we’re being honest, basekit bt is 10 seconds so unless you can make a pallet or window fast vault that’s another down within a 10 second span and altruism will try to keep their teammates alive so they can enjoy the game which is less people on gens 😃. Invocation currently has people not doing gens at all so that could also be more reason for a gen to not be done a lot of factors can go into it either way someone being singled out targeted and killed before a gen or two is done simply isn’t fun 😁

It was literally pointed out in the patch notes that it was "Anti FACE CAMP" not "Anti camp:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/kb/articles/413-7-3-0-mid-chapter

    Specifically this section here:

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/XPUFSQCVDNOT/image.png

Its literally called "Anti Face-Camp Feature"

I get that you don't like "proxy camping" but there isn't a system for dealing with that. Nor really should there be outside of serious systemic changes to how hooks and unhooking work. When a killer is proxy camping a hook trade is always possible. Generally you should work on gens, and just before they go to second stage, someone hook trades. Repeat that once or twice and you'll finish all the gens with the killer having no kills or hooks.

And I’m telling you it’s a pointless system it changed literally nothing if they wanted chances for trades taking away hook grabs did that so they already had something got stopping face camp since a single person could get an unhook and trade

I don’t think anyone is losing just because of pop and pain res because if they are constantly getting those that often then it means the killer is not only playing fairly but also playing better than the survivors since he’s getting so many downs. A bad killer isn’t getting value out of those.

Also to my point, what are we supposed to be running instead?

even best top survivors will go down it’s unavoidable and personally I like that a game where you’re just not to go down is a bad one in my personal opinion. Killers could tunnel out a weak link early and get value out of pop and a pain res and also have pressure by having someone out of the match. Going down in dbd like I said is something that meant to happen it wouldn’t be fun otherwise imo I’ll want to be chased and I’ll win some and lose some I don’t mind that I’m fine with being outplayed and outplaying someone but if the game implies that I just need to not go down to win or I played poorly just wouldn’t be fun. It won’t be fun if a killer can’t get a down and personally I don’t think the game would be fun if I never went down as survivor but losing a game because of something that’s meant to happen for people to even want to play seems so silly

Camping wasn't intended on being impossible to do with the system. It solely exists to prevent the killer from standing in front of the hook in an attempt to prevent any save from occurring. Now killers need to back away and give room for survivors to at least hook trade.

Unhooks can never be risk free as it would eliminate the killers ability to build pressure with hooks.

But that doesn’t make sense you say killers do it for pressure but camping allows for people to just do gens which takes pressure away from them whos to say the survivors won’t just let you sit there waiting for a trade while they all progress on gens

The feature is not "Anti-camp" it is "Anti-Facecamp"

By design, it is doing exactly what it is supposed to here, by preventing the killer from facecamping. Additionally, it does look like your AFC bar is filling, but slowly because another survivor is nearby.

Also, i'd argue here that the killer is actually throwing the game here for your team. You are on second hook, so thats 60 seconds before you die. The killer is camping here there are 2 gens. Your team could probably finish at least 1 of those gens, and potentially both of them if there was any previous progress and get 1-2 of them out. Yeah you'd probably die, but camping here is actually probably not a good idea. But your team is making it work here by not playing against the camping properly.

They also could slam 1 gen together, then do a hook trade since it looks like neither of them are on death hook and do the same thing again if the killer continues to camp if you all wanted to try to get 3 out, but its very risky.

Now, i know you'll say, "we can't know they are camping" and i agree with that, its personally why i think kindred should be basekit, but that's a different discussion.

Buddy it was meant to make killers not camp if they get the same result from moving a couple steps back the system is poorly made. Nothing has changed what good is a system that makes it so you don’t have to look directly at a killer while they prevent you from playing the game the results are overall still the same

What are we supposed to run instead? Everything else has been gutted. I’d love to run other more fun perks but most are bad. Those perks are also only giving value if the killer is playing well and getting constant downs and playing fairly spreading hooks for that matter.

Losing a game that I played perfectly but only because I brought the wrong perks is a bad feeling.

How do you think losing a game because pop and pain res feels. Those two perks carry killers alone and that’s only half of the killers perk slots. For those two perks to be as strong as they are and paired together is already bad enough but there is a meta making them that much more unbearable. Individually I don’t mind perk pain res but when paired together they are problematic especially considering that there’s two more perk slots which are more than likely going to be something that slowdown progress or drags on the game

I would love a chase oriented game, however so much of the game would need to be fully redesigned to keep it fresh and interesting, as well as maintaining balance.

also, exhaustion perks are balanced (excluding adrenaline) some may be stronger than others both they act as chase extenders, and are also a necessity. Also not to being slowdown perks as I am absolutely for slowdown perks, but exhaustion perks are already balanced in the fact you only can use one exhaustion perk. Running multiple is just pointless.

How is adren not balanced that’s like the one thing I don’t get it’s a one time use for endgame. Sure you can get a health state and sprint burst but it’s something that only happens when you make it to endgame. Realistically speaking if you get a small reward from a perk for making it to endgame survivor side who would want to run the perk it’s why you see more adren over something like hope it rewards them better for making it endgame and up until that point they’ve basically been playing with just 3 perks
