Idk, when they said that we couldn't kill our teammates anymore I just assumed that it meant overall.
Yes, killing my teammates was the most fun I had in that game.
What I would do was to start a fight with some people as my brother finished fixing the car, then I'd make my way there or he'd pick me up. I'd then drive and run them over. So much fun.
It honestly was so much fun. It just added to the game as you never knew what type of lobby you were going to get. Some of my best memories on that game was having the shotgun and feeling so powerful lol.
The worst thing they’ve done was giving Jason the rage buff. It’s just not the same anymore. They killed their own game with unnecessary changes. It’s sad to see.

Same here, I was terrified lol, Laurie was my main when i started.
Mine too! I miss her. I need to start playing as her again, you rarely ever see her. I remember thinking how excruciatingly loud she was compared to the other survivors and then Jane came out.

I saw this video like 2 and a half years ago called "the evolution of Michael Myers" and dbd showed up and I fell in love.
I’m glad that Michael was also the reason you got interested in the game. He used to jump scare me so much when I was a noob. 😨

The devs from Friday the 13th made it so you could no longer kill your own teammates, it was such a shame because I loved running them over with the car.
My older brother was like lets play this instead so here I am.
When did they make that change? As I played earlier this year and you could still run people over. I miss when you could kill each other with weapons. Everybody would rush to get the shotgun at the start of the match. It was like The Hunger Games. 😂

About 2 years ago, my friend told me about it, since at the time I was playing Friday the 13th. Shortly after, it appeared on the Xbox Game Pass and I decided to give it a try. Fell in love with it instantly, then shortly after wanted to destroy it's existence. It's a very love/hate relationship and I wouldn't change it.
It’s funny because I initially saw DBD as a ‘knock-off’ FT13, even the artwork was very similar. But now, it’s manifested into a completely different beast and I’m so glad I gave it a try.
I’d be intrigued to know if DBD would have became as popular as it did if FT13 hadn’t been hit with the lawsuit.

I personally would like at least one more original killer before we get another licensed one as I find the licensed chapters to be more special when they’re spaced apart.
I’m still hoping a Supernatural chapter is on the horizon as with the show ending in 4 weeks, having Sam and Dean as survivors would be a great way to carry on the shows legacy.
-
This is the first rift where I’ve not liked / wanted any of the cosmetics from the premium pass, so my wallet is very happy lol. The only cosmetic I’m desperate to get is the Meg one that came over from mobile, so it’s nice that I can earn that without having to pay for it.
I’m disappointed with David’s blight outfit as I was expecting to really like it, but I’m not too bothered as the Felix one has more than made up for it.
-
I honestly don’t understand what all the fuss is about. I’ve been having a blast whilst playing recently, especially on the updated maps as they look so much better.
Just like every other game I play online, this game can frustrate me, but most of my frustrations come from the people I play with / against and not the game itself. Everybody has a right to feel the way they do, but I haven’t had this much fun playing in a long time.
I also met a new buddy tonight as we were both rocking the new Felix cosmetic and both love the show Supernatural (it’s my PlayStation profile header) - so I’m looking forward to playing some more games with them and for the upcoming BP and shards. I’ve got killers to level up. 😅

I’ve been rocking this cosmetic since it hit the store...
It’s now my favourite Felix cosmetic and one of my favourites in the entire game. I love the blight stuff.

People talking about not knowing what killer to have, why not get a killer from the start of the show, Azazel? Azazel could have a unique fire-based power
If they did do a Supernatural DLC, I’m pretty sure they would just add Sam and Dean. However, if they were to add a killer, I think The Scarecrow could make a great addition to the game.

There's more then one reason that it happens...
Teammate saving you while the killer was chasing them...
Teammate going for the instant save...
Teammate gets an easy save but then disappears and you are the one found...
(Bad Word) even if the killer doesn't see any one after 2-3 gens get done...
Killer had a bad match before... (it happens)
Killer faced the same survivor before... (it happens)
Survivor BM'iing... (it is a weak reason cause intent can't be expressed in game)
I’m not talking about any of those reasons. If nobody has been sacrificed and there’s 1 generator left, most logical people would understand why they got tunnelled. I’m talking about the killer hard tunnelling people as they know they don’t have to worry about DS. I’ve had it where I am literally chasing after the killer to body block and they will ignore me to redown / hook the recently saved survivor.
Doing this with 5 generators left and then continuing to do it to every other survivor that follows because you know there isn’t an Obsession is problematic.
I’ve played this game long enough to know that 9/10 if a killer downs you not long after you’ve been on a hook and there’s an Obsession, they’ll slug and there’s a reason for it.
-
@DerpyPlayz said:

Or just get good at the game and give them a reason not to tunnel you IE looping them most entirely the game, as they aren't stopping gens if they are going after you the entire game.
Honestly basically you are the only one playing the game if you are tunneled, unless you prefer to just hold M1 and press space for the occasional skill check on gens.
It’s not about ‘getting good at the game’ 🤦🏻♂️
Are you telling me you never get downed? Because I find that extremely hard to believe. Sometimes the hit boxes are ridiculous on this game and you can be hit from a mile away, so how exactly am I to avoid that from happening when on my screen I’m not near the killer?
I also never said in the OP that I was being tunnelled. But if it happens to my team it still affects me because I can’t do every generator by myself, can I? Having an Obsession definitely reduces the chances of this happening as most killers nowadays will slug and that at least gives you a chance to pick your teammate back up.
An Obsession shouldn’t have this much control over how a match plays out. It’s extremely flawed.

Just because I found it funny doesn't mean I agree.
David > Felix
Wraith > Everyone
I simp for Wraith.
David and Felix? That’s a sandwich I’d like to be in the middle of. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

As somebody who plays him on PS4, he’s completely fine on console. I have no issues with landing hits.

I’m glad I could amuse.
If you’re wanting to join the Haus of Richter, we’re currently looking for new members. All you have to do is be a fan of Felix and donate a small amount of 10,000 Euros into an offshore account. 😇

Just why does it look so funny when characters look up in DBD? Someone should post a tier list based on how goofy they look when looking up.
I have no idea but I love it so much. It’s how I greet other survivors when I find them on a generator. I’ll also crouch / gaze up into the abyss next to somebody who is opening an exit gate. It’s the little things that keep me entertained in this game lol.
-
@Mikeasaurus said:
This is how I play the game these days. I usuallly 1 hook everyone so I get points, they get points for rescue/healing and then I just proceed to mess around with them, usually peeking out from behind boxes and just generally messing around. I stopped caring about winning since people are far too serious with the game these days, and I like to think, by my simple act of having some fun, they can know there are still decent people out there just wanting to enjoy themselves.
Killers just look so cute when they’re being friendly lol. Obviously I wouldn’t want matches like this all the time, but it makes a nice change of pace to have them once in a blue moon. I was laughing so hard.
I normally play like this if somebody DC’s or if I’m getting too many hooks before any progress on the generators has been done. I don’t find stomping out a lobby to be entertaining.
-
I’ve wanted Halloween fancy dress cosmetics for the longest time and honestly, I’m shocked we haven’t had them yet. Plus, you could literally do something for every character (minus the licensed ones) and that way nobody feels like their favourite is being excluded.
Sexy Caveman for Felix please and thank you.

So I did a perk study on this perk and this was one of the things that I said would make the perk better! Imo though I would say make the regressing skill checks appear more frequently because last night when I was playing survivor I could not get past the first skillcheck for like 9 trials and I healed about 12 teammates!
The perk is underrated but I think it need to have a increased chance of trigger skill checks
That’s similar to my experience with the perk. It’s one extreme or the other. I can have matches where I’ll get 4 stacks from healing one survivor and then I can have entire trials where I won’t get a single skill check when healing. As it stands, it’s far too inconsistent to be considered a viable perk. However, when it does work, it’s one of my favourites.

@AChaoticKiller said:
i once ran this against a unnerving presence doc and got tons of skill checks, also had empathy and the doc was just hitting people off gens so i just went to them healed them in seconds thanks to the increased skill check chance and we won by constantly being on gens.
good times.
It’s a really useful perk when you can get all 5 stacks. Plus, it’s so satisfying to see the healing bar just flying up. 😂
-
@[Deleted User] said:
Everybody would run this perk if the skill checks were more frequent.
And let go of DS, DH, SC etc? I doubt it lol. It’s rare to see people using healing builds as most people like builds that solely benefit them. I just want a little more consistency. I just had a match about 20 mins ago and I got 4 tokens from one heal at the start of the match. It’s just so random.

So the two specific cases I've seen now have to do with the Blight Skin.
Either it's because of the glow of the skin that makes you more present to the killer than say a Blendette or Feng with really dark clothes.
OR
It's because you bought the Blight Outfit and it's like the Lisa case. They want to punish BHVR (indirectly) by killing and tunneling survivors who bought Blight Skins (that cannot be earned this event)
Try 2-3 matches with his basic skin or another Felix Skin and see if you become the target of tunneling.
(Also impressive how you already reached Devotion 10, do you play on PS4 or PC with Controller?)
I’m not sure if it’s because I stand out, as last night I saw killers deliberating ignoring other survivors to come for me. And I hadn’t even been hooked yet, so I wasn’t the ‘easy’ target. I switched to David after a while and my matches went back to normal which made me think it was something against Felix. But, I love this new skin, so they can stay mad. I’m going to keep using it! Hahaha. I’ll try wearing his default cosmetic soon and let you know if my matches are different.
And I play on PS4. ☺️

What Felix-skin were you playing?
This is the skin and build I’ve been running,
So nothing that screams “CHASE ME! CHASE ME!” - yet I definitely feel more ‘targeted’ when playing as Felix.
-
It’s weird you mention this as I was playing last night and I noticed in some matches killers would only come after me. A Nea in my match also messaged to say she kept trying to get this Legion’s attention but he’d ignore her. I didn’t do anything wrong, I was just continuously chased. It was a fun match though as I got a lot of points and escaped.
It definitely seemed to be because of my character as I’ve never seen this player before as a killer or survivor.
-
@Alphasoul05 said:
Yet I bet you still use DS when you have it equipped and the killer doesn't tunnel you, right? If DS is active and you play aggressively, or especially have UB, right?
Like I said in the OP, I don’t use DS. So it’s pretty hard for me to use a perk I don’t have, isn’t it?
-
@Yung_Slug said:
Some killers tunnel, that's just how it is. You can always take hits for the tunneled survivor so they can get to a loop safely. Then do gens. If the survivor is any good it should be an easy escape, at least for everyone else.
I do take hits for people and I’ll even purposely get myself downed to stop somebody being sacrificed if they’re on death hook and I’m not. Sadly, most people don’t return the favour. But I guess that’s solo que for ya.
-
@AvisDeene said:
Nah, even with an obsession they tunnel. Just had a huntress tunnel a feng right at the start of the match with 5 gens up. She used her DS and still got tunneled and gave up. I ended up letting her hook me and suiciding to the next match. You want a fast game and low points, Ill give you one.
I’m not saying it never happens when there’s an Obsession, but it’s definitely less likely. Most killers will slug for pressure and allow the downed person to get picked up.
When there’s no Obsession in the match you’re just lambs to the slaughter. It’s not as bad when you’re in a SWF, but when you play solo, it’s rare for randoms to body block for you.
-
If they added Sam and Dean I would never play any other survivor again. I really hope they do come to this game. They are the perfect fit.
So many ideas for cosmetics too! Take all of my money Devs.
-
Although his P3 cosmetic is one of my favourites in the game, I would love something like this...
-
Something from recent memory was when I was the last survivor and being chased by a Bubba. I saw the hatch and was heading straight towards it, but for some reason when I tried to jump into it, the game made me vault into the locker that was next to it. So I had to watch from inside the locker as Bubba closed the hatch in my face.
The most annoying thing was that he was face camping everybody and I wanted this to be my ‘FU’ moment. Screw you game. 😂

I'm from Europe too and yesterday some of them (like 4 or 5) tunneled by 2 gens left but the other killers (6 or 7) tunneled right from the start. 5 Gens left and they tunnel my mates/me. If you wanna know what ranks these killers were in, I'll tell you.
Most of them were rank 1-4 and tunneled. I think it's such a shame that you are in such a rank and have to tunnel to win. These are the players who take the fun out of dbd.
Yesterday I also had a rank 12 but it is not so bad that he tunnels because he certainly doesn’t know that much about the game.
I had rank 5 tunnlers too. Tunneling on rank 5 is also outrageous, but I can still understand it a little bit.
In case you think now: "This was just a bad day for you." I've been thinking for days how to reduce tunneling and open a discussion for it, because yesterday was not the only day I was tunneled. I play the game almost every day and i get tunneled every day too.
At some point i don't feel like playing anymore and then play killer but without tunneling and still win. (I play every killer. I don't play the strongest to win and if i lose, i won't tunnel the next round either.)
I don’t tunnel either. I just don’t find it fun and because I play survivor as well, I try to put myself in the shoes of the survivors as I want to win without being a total dick.
Earlier this year I noticed that me and my teammates were being tunnelled a lot, and I mean, hard tunnelled at the start of matches, but it seemed to settle down. I guess I’m just getting extremely lucky, but to be fair, I haven’t played a lot recently as I’m getting burnt out with this game and finding it extremely frustrating with the teammates you get given. I’ve been playing and enjoying Killing Floor 2 a lot more.
I’ll probably check out the Halloween event, but I’m not optimistic about it getting me to play for long periods of time again. I only have fun playing killer at the minute.
-
I’d really love something Scooby-Doo related. Maybe some trick-or-treating costumes? You could have Meg or Kate as Daphne, Felix as Fred, Feng as Velma and Dwight as Shaggy (who also comes with a Scooby-Doo backpack).
-
I’ve never gone against a full SWF using it, but I’ve gone against a 4-man with one player using it. It definitely alters the way I have to play, but I normally just tunnel / slug the OoO guy out of the match.
9/10 the whole team will throw the game trying to save each other. This has also been with me playing as Michael with M&A. You have to be REALLY good to be able to loop the killer all game with OoO and I’ve just not faced anybody who has been able to do that yet.
I do agree that it needs changing though, as I can only imagine how annoying it would be to face 4 people using it. They either need to completely rework the perk or make it like the old DS, where only 1 survivor gets to use it in a trial and the other players who have it in their loadout get a weaker version of it without the aura reading ability.

I'm currently rank 3 and today i played 13 survivor rounds and in only 2 of them i wasn't get tunneled.
I wonder why? As that isn’t how my matches go at all lol. Maybe it’s to do with the server you’re being put on? I’m from Europe, so I’m not sure if I get matched with different players than you.
I rarely see tunnelling and when I do, it’s normally when there’s 1 generator left and nobody has been killed yet.
-
I wouldn’t class myself as a survivor main, as I do also play killer, but the reason I enjoy survivor is for the ‘thrill’ aspect. I like survival horrors and you only get that experience from the survivor side of things.
I enjoy having to rely on my quick thinking whilst I get chased, as I’m essentially trying to outsmart the other player into losing track of me and ultimately giving up. It just makes me feel like the main character of a horror movie and I really like that.
-
I’d definitely be on board for exhaustion perks that don’t just increase your speed. What you described would make a great change to the perk Lightweight.
-
I personally don’t think this is necessary. I don’t use DS as a survivor unless I’m levelling somebody up and have no other options as I rarely get tunnelled and if I do, I’m normally slugged. It just feels like a waste of a perk slot for me. I also seem to only get struck with it when I’m playing as killer if somebody jumps into a locker for no reason. I’ll just eat it during those scenarios.
What rank are you currently playing at? As I don’t see tunnelling a lot in my matches. I’m never below rank 5, if that helps.
-
*Must resist the urge to burst into song*
OH SCREW IT.
If there’s something strange,
In your neighbourhood
Who you gonna call?
GHOSTBUSTERS!!
-
I suppose what people deem fun is subjective but I personally don’t find being chased all game to be fun. I don’t mind being chased, but my satisfaction comes from losing the killer mid chase, especially a killer who’s experienced as you really have to think outside the box.
I like being a Jack of all trades. I want to fix generators, cleanse totems, search chests, be chased, evade, get unhooks, heals, be that survivor who has to pick the team up after they’ve all been slugged etc.
The ironic thing is, most killers (myself included) won’t chase after the people that want to be chased. As we know they’re trying to waste our time when we should be patrolling generators. If you’re wanting to be chased, get caught doing the objective. ;)
-
They definitely know about Michael Myers as there’s an episode in S2 where somebody dresses up as him for Halloween. They’re probably too terrified to fangirl over him though lol.
-
I’m not sure if the game is dying but this is definitely a type of game for a specific market. A lot of my friends I’ve tried to get into this game just don’t like it, as they find it too slow and boring. They prefer being able to ‘do’ more things, so they play stuff like Apex Legends and COD.
I appreciate different games and because I’m a massive horror buff, this game just speaks to me.
-
Considering she’s not real, I think that Jane is a total babe. Her face and body are 10/10 lol. I think the best looking bloke would be Jeff, but I’m definitely biased as I also have a beard and full sleeves of tattoos.
