I’ll test it out thank you! Running a loop tight isn’t tight enough over all.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1501191#Comment_1501191
i would say a tier list can’t predict every game, but in general some killers are obviously stronger than others. Inexact science sure, but general guide yes.
Compare what spirit can do vs clown or what Freddy can do vs trapper. Could you really say “I’m not sure who’s a higher tier?”
Now, who’s stronger: Nurse Spirit or Freddy? With all things being equal, high skilled players who know how to use the killer, a good or ideal perk loadout and say average addons? That’s a good debate... but obviously these three are high tier.
No problem.

What’s your strat for counters?
I know double window setups are pretty strong, but anything else?
I hope that helped!

I dont use Windows. I run around a rock, hugging it. If he does the same, he'll tantrum. If he doesn't, he won't catch up. Its probably the best counter to bubba. I use it a lot. The good thing is, rocks are really common so if you are being chased, head to a rock, preferably next to a strong loop, like a long walk jungle gym, or a tl wall set that he physically can't chainsaw you on.

Always for the first few months at most you will nearly always 4k.
We will see his real ranking in about 2-3 months. If it anything like nurse, he will seem really extreme at first then level out slowly. Such as how new Nurse was F teir until she slowly became a B tier ( IMO Of course, and between a few friends )
Nah I think shes still s. Shes just a lot harder. And also I play against bubba the same as before and win. Idk hes just a bit stronger now but still the same counter. Ive just always been good at bubba.
-
With how well I'm doing with him, Sss tier. Never not 4kd at rank 5 with him. I like new bubba.

That would make the games way too predictable and wouldnt offer the element of the surprise. I like not knowing straight away what I face. If i for example knew that every single David had dead hard, I could instantly know how to play around it. It wouldnt work imo

What? I'm good at looping. I can loop most killers for at least 80 seconds, meaning 3 gens.

That just means you're lucky the killer didn't bother going after you. He let you pester him while he was trying to hook others instead of getting you out of the way.
I was actually unlucky. Killers chasing me is at least 3 gens done. I like being chased as well.

The only thing MoM does is let you tank one extra hit. But you need to take 3 hits that you dont have to take if you don't run this perk. So I don't think it's worth running.
Breakout + Alex's toolbox. An extra hit is very powerful.

"mettle of man will deactivate the next time you are put into the dying state"
Do you actually play with this perk? What in your mind makes the payoff worth those ridiculous, punishing prerequisites?
And an extra hit is amazing. Mom plus dead hard it at least 30 seconds more.

I activated it twice earlier in sabo builds. And next time means a the hit after mom hit. I use it all the time. Its a good perk and its fine as is.

Before this thread starts, yes I'm aware of how busted OP MoM was on release, I don't want to go back to that. Also, please refrain from the whataboutism. The problem is with the prerequisites. If I can't heal without the killer making a mad dash for me, I can't get the perk to activate. On top of that, I can't get downed or I have to start all over again. The perk simply has too many activation requirements for it to be useful at all. If they just got rid of the aura reveal on healing, it could be a good perk.
Or they could just rework the perk entirely to something like this:
"Taking a protection hit for a Survivor gives access to the self-healing action for 40/50/60 seconds. The timer is paused while being chased and for 15 seconds afterward."
This takes away the abusable endurance effect while giving an incentive to take protection hits, and the pause on the timer is long enough so that you don't lose the effect when the killer loses line of sight at a jungle gym.
It's usable. You can get downed before it activates, and on the activation hit. It's perfectly fine as is.

I personally think they are fun plus good rewards, for the most part. Meg and Ace aren't my mains, but for the Wraith's weapon and Tiki charm, I will get to level 70. However for the first tier of the rift.. I'm really not liking the Hex ones, since the one Hex challenge is to hit 10 survivors, may not be hard but knowing my luck it will get broken instantly. Same with the ruin challenge. Can't wait to see what Wraith's challenges will be. 😊
It doesnt have to be up. All you need is 10 hits.

I dont mine flashlights, I know my way to avoid them.
But what's the point in going stabby stabby when they'll just heal themselves (not by how it use to by another survivor) and protect themselves with other perks, I wont mention since everyone on this forum already does (which I dont care for I dont tunnel I move on) I just don't see how med-kits are needed. The time between medkit and self-care isn't that much difference... 🤷♂️
Med-kits in chests or better yet, brought are a gamble of sorts. A permanent perk is already readily available
Twice as long is not that much of a difference?

So I just had a game as Deathslinger in blood lodge running, stbfl, monitor, pop and nurses. And in a short while gens were going off, and my first hook was when only two gens left, then after that the two went off. I got one kill when a survivor thought it was a good idea to flashlight near exit gate as Deathslinger. I had stop watch and used it for the entire match just to see how fast it would go, the time was 8: 23. So 8 minutes and 23 seconds and all gens are done exit gates are open and everyone left. That is a record for me, never have I had a game that fast before. When I told the survivors at endgame chat even they were surprised, and they even stated that it wasn't that fun, so they agreed with me that Gens need to be worked on. At least they weren't toxic about or rude at the end. So before anyone says " GiT GoOd " or " ApPLly PrESuRe" I ask how can I do that when I have to chase survivors, hook them, and constantly do so through out the entire map while I'm being pressured to apply pressure when I have nothing truly to do so? Anyway just a bit outraged by this but feeling better I know what some of you think it happens, but not like this
Let me get this straight. Youre running a chase killer, with his best build, on a good map, got your first down at two gens, had an 8 minute match, and you complain about gen speeds. Pathetic.

To add to the footsteps part, if there is anything that reacts to movement, (crows, grass, corn) they will still move when a spirit goes through them so use that to your advantage as well
True. I don't really mind spirit. Not anymore. She has counterplay. Some people are too dumb to see it.

"The point of chases with her aren't necessarily to escape, but to waste as much of her time as possible."
This should be true of any killer and it is true of any killer with strong 1v1. Unfortunately, some people believe if you're not guaranteed to be able to run a killer indefinitely with relative ease because pallets, then the killer has no counter play.
On the topic of Spirit, you can also hear her footsteps as she's phasing if you're paying attention, which you should because it will help you.
I don't think you should hear her phasing noise when in TR but i think her shards should light up just a little more obviously. That way she still has the chase fake out mind game where she can pretend to chase someone then maybe grab someone off a gen that thought she was not onto them. Also it will be subtle enough that survivors will need to pay attention to what the killer is doing.
This. Only potatoes fall for the afk mindgame. You can only hear footsteps when shes close enough to get a hit though. Also, if thr killer is any good you will have a three gen chase at best.
-
I find it easy, but then again, I pretty much only play spirit now so there's that. I personally think swf isn't that bad. Most of the time, there's an object going clicky with a flashlight. Ignore them. They are the chaser. Go for the ones on gens. Those guys are usually the weak links.

Killers can no longer change characters while searching for a match / in a lobby (excluding custom matches). This will soon be used by the new matchmaking system to provide better match balance based on your skill with each killer individually, instead of a global killer rating.
This is by far the worst upcoming change i have seen.
Why are you enticing lobby dodging which in turn will increase lobby wait times?
If i am playing Wraith or Hag, do you think i would queue into 4 flashlights? No.
I thought the whole point of seeing survivor items was so you can counter build suitable for that situation. If i can't play someone like Plague or Legion against 4 medkits, again, i'd just leave.
Not to mention, experienced killers will queue into easy games and completely dominate because they have a killer they don't play very much. Your individual skill for each killer doesn't matter if you know how to run loops, what pallets you should break etc.
Although it isn't a perfect system, that was implemented to keep people from smurfing with killers they are bad with, then switching to their main and demolishing them. Just dodge against things like that.
-
I personally don't go for pallet saves. I go for cj techs.
-
Why are people mad about the cool down? It is not a major thing. His add ons needed changes, and his base kit was fine, however, the overheat mechanic doesn't really do anything. The only thing I want reverted is the chase music and the scream. Now those are what should never have happened.

Notice how there are no upvotes? Nurse is still the strongest killer, and she takes more skill to play now. Literally no one likes this idea.
-
Biggest tip of all: DONT WASTE SHACK PALLET!!! But seriously, don't.
-
Thats an amazing idea.
-
Wraith: sloppy, thanatophobia, nurses and whispers. Wraith isnt a chase killer. Injure them, cloak, injure another one, cloak. Id recommend all seeing blood for this. Basically you don't want them to heal. If they do heal, chase normally. If they don't, keep cloak hitting. But do try to keep them from healing. Thats where nurses comes in. A friend told me about this and ive been using it ever since.
-
I have. Its annoying, but I only play spirit against keys so doesnt really bother me.

Lmao. Its just i find her too easy to 4k with. I spent a lot of time learning her and have never not gotten a 4k with her. I find easy things boring. Thats why I don't play pig, billy, clown, wraith, ghost face, or plague. Ive been playing legion for that reason.

Your statement assumes that everything is currently at a perfect equilibrium. It's not, it never has been, and never will be. Infinites were removed because they disturbed balance, and you didn't have to take anything away from killers to say that Infinites needed to be removed. That's because the game itself was starting from a place of imbalance.
The game is still in a place of imbalance vis a vis moris. I don't want to live in a world where we say that moris are balanced because keys exist, and that in order to get rid of one we'd have to get rid of the other. We can say that moris are a problem and we can (seperately) agree that keys are a problem, but we don't have to treat them like they're perfectly the same, and they don't have to be nerfed in the same patch. They should each be nerfed on their own, based on their own merits for being nerfed, and not because they're inextricably linked or something.
I'm done talking about keys. You can quote me or at me, but I'm done with talking about keys in a thread about moris.
They are linked though. At least on the survivor side. Killer brings a mori. Kills the other 3 and closes hatch. Only a key can save you. Or swf with a key. Only a mori can save you. Just saying.
-
Id like that. Pig is a good killer but so boring to play.
-
Oh thanks! Now I'm gonna save up money to buy it! Just watched the trailer and holy ######### those skins are nice!

When does it come out? I didn't even know about it😂

Imagine being so bad that youre afraid of telling the killer where you are. Although bbq needs a nerf, or wglf needs a buff, that's the only bad thing. Although it isn't an issue, I hope they remove the aura, but only bc of wglf not having any extra effects like bbq does. Still though, aside from that, bbq is fine.

They already need to. This isn't a game where you should have to spend 10 minutes to find a blends the with a key.

The broken key can be a very useful item, and I like to pair it with Blood Amber so I can loop jungle gyms and the like more easily. However, the fact that it looks exactly like the skeleton key usually causes the killer to equip a mori in the hope of taking it out of the game as soon as possible. The difference in power between the broken key and its other variants is GIANT, and I think there should be a visual indicator of a broken one.
I always feel bad bringing a mori for a broken key. Hope they do this.

For the spirit, it probably was ez. Just remind them that it takes no skill to play her whatsoever lmao.

From a killer perspective, not at all. Even when I'm NOT expecting it people just fail SO OFTEN. It's a hard timing to get, and the amount of time you waste trying for them instead of progressing the match stacks up. You make like 20 matches a lot harder for yourself and your team for the 1 match where you luck out and get one, and it's not like that decides the match, though it is a large impact.
The timing is pretty simple. I literally learned it from watching ayrun. You pretty much have to be a potato to miss it.

100% worth. Don't go out of your way to do it though. Although it can be countered, if youre smart enough, you can get it even against sentient killers. The trick is, hide until they start the animation and then go for it. Baits don't work against good flashlighters.
