I think I'm OK with this change. I haven't played her in a while but having played against her recently, hearing two seperate moans coming from different directions is VERY creepy.
I don't think its a major nerf as 'Good Spirits' (I want to make it clear actually good players not ones carried by her) never have a blink last long enough for 2 of these moans to play anyway. So it won't make her any more enjoyable to play against a good player. It makes her slightly more tolerable to play against in more casual play but if this is actually a bug fix how the hell has she been out so long without any of the devs noticing this was a thing?

Ten matches (10!!!) in a row with the sweatiest Killers that I have ever had the misfortune of playing against. Every single one that me and my group of friends played with tonight has either tunneled or camped. What's worse is that clearly they're doing this for the double bloodpoints, but because of these ridiculous tactics, most have walked away with less than 20,000 (before double bp), which in turn makes the survivors earn even less.
I'm game if you want to farm, but if not then for the love of God don't be a dick and just play the game normally. You'll get a hell of a lot more bloodpoints that way!
idgaf about double BP I'm going to play the game I bought. If I beat you when you used 4 bps thats not my problem.

This is OMEGALUL tier now. Sort out your connection or play something else.
-
OH BOY HERE WE GO
I agree on Huntress axes but it'll never be changed back. They tried it. Didnt work with survivor hitboxes in the state they are.
-
I'm usually quite shocked when a red rank killer tunnels when there is an obsession as they may potentially be throwing a game out of spite.
That said while I almost always avoid deliberate tunneling if theres no obsession I'm usually dead first hook. I think most killers would liike to take the more boring easy way out even when the match is currently in their favor. I don't do it but cant blame them. It's a flaw with how the games designed.

With the release of blight I'm pretty sure they're running out of ideas. Only thing I can think of that they haven't done something with is fire.
I was originally disappointed by the BLights power having nothing to really do with a researcher. That said I think hes the most fun and best designed killer since Oni. I want to be hype but after Death slinger and Pyramid Head I can't see us getting another killer as good as blight so soon.
-
I'd like another area control killer. I think its been a while since we had one of those. I don't really count Pyramids trails as one.
Also a trapper "cube" or buff.
-
Billy was the go to for a relatively easy to play/strong killer that had room to grow and become truly great at. He still is but the overheat punishes new players who dont know when to use and not use their chainsaw pretty hard.
And like others have said there's significantly more killer than there were 2 years ago. I still think he's high tier. The removal of instasaw and crack billy hurt his viability against good teams.
Crack billy was extremely niche as he was pretty hard to play properly but it was always fun to see. Most of his new add ons suck.
Also like Yords above me. Something about his movement has felt off to me for a long time. Not just his chainsaw but his basic movement. Getting caught on nothing and lunges getting blocked by air. Devs have never commented on it so I thought I was crazy. That's why I dropped him. That and after a few years he just became kind of stale to play.

Apparently they are on that. Worst thing with that are trees, it is a gamble if you can actually bounce of them or slide at them. Overall, he is the best designed Killer in a long time.
That damn oldsmobile on the junkyard map. Smeared across it like I was the greast strangler.
Also agreed. Haven't had this much fun as killer in a couple of years maybe.
I really hope the next killer lives up to him and isnt another SLinger/Pyramid.

He´s definately up there, but as a Trapper "main" I can tell you that the difference between solo and swf is very significant for him, too. It´s the difference between being able to use the same trap twice or having to relocate them every time, which is huge.
Oh thats definitely true. I love trapper to death but once I reached red ranks again on PC it just wasnt working out. Good survivors don't fall for the 3 gen set up and some maps just dont have the grass needed to be unpredictable at loops.
Than theres needing a brown bag minimum just for time save.
-
Solo Freddy is unwinnable unless all 4 survivors play perfectly, that is assuming the Freddy has decent experience.
One weak link absolutely destroys any possible gen progress due to the littany of regression and slowdown freddy has available while also having a decent chase power and good mobility. Then theres the free map pressure for... nothing that he has.
I think he has the biggest disparity in performance with Solo vs SWF of any killer in this game. Even a bad freddy can do ok with the right add on and perk combos due to sheer attrition of the survivors. He's braindead and boring.
-
I thought that stranger things thing was on saturday?
-
As others have said. You can;t take the opinions of someone who exclusively plays one side seriously. And that makes up a sizeable portion of the playerbase.
Content creator or regular player, long time player or relatively new. If they only play survivor/killer their opinion is skewed to the point of literal uselessness.
-
I disagree wholeheartedly with people saying you don't have time to cleanse. On anything but the game and hawkisn I can easily and reliably clea rall totems in under 2 minutes just with small game as a solo player.
The only questionable aspect of Undying is the aura reading.

I get the fact that it would suck if somebody sabotaged an event hook and you weren’t able to get the points but not being able to sabotage 5 or 6 hooks on the map because you want to use the offerings with your friends and play the event, is kinda stupid.
I play solo sabo as one of my two main builds and this event has lead to several deaths or games outright being thrown because I didnt realise the hook was an event hook until too late. It should have been removed as respawn timers are way shorter now and goo gathering isnt even a thing for killers this time.
Absolutely ludicrous

This is the most consistent bug I've ever seen.

All of that?

Weirdo shipping aside I do wonder how survivors interact canonically. do they lose eachother after every trial and occasionally bump into eachother in the realm (forests/farms/etc)?
Do they form friendships? Is "time convuluted" and they meet different versions of each other from different times? Hence some of the outfits.
Can feng speak english and understand davids british slang?

I think the main problem is that waking up can be pretty time-intensive and that it is extremely easy to immediately be put back to sleep by Freddy (sometimes completely wasting all that time). Skillchecks obviously come with a regression penalty and give Freddy info, Waking Up gets slower and slower each time until it's too slow to be worth doing, and the Alarm Clocks usually spawn on the opposite side of the map from where you feel asleep. Freddy's Sleep status / Dreamworld is literally a more consistent version of Plague's Sickness / Fountains and Pig's RBTs / Jigsaw Boxes (even if it doesn't give him a ranged attack or a potential kill).
The other issue is that his powers cost him so little time to use for how surprisingly effective they are. He can place snares/pallets while moving at full speed and doesn't slow down at any point during the interaction (no other trap-using character in DbD gets this benefit). He also gets a great teleport with a pretty brief cooldown (I think it's ~45 seconds at base) which can be reduced by up to 60% (15% per sleeping survivor).
Additionally, Freddy also gets a mostly-better version of Wraith's cloak and Spirit's passive phasing with his "intermittent visibility" mechanic at no extra charge. Actually he gets a whole lot of miscellaneous benefits/bonuses for free, it's a little silly really.
---
To be clear, I don't actually want Freddy to get hard nerfed back into being a terrible killer; I think it's good that he's strong and a pretty real threat now. I just wish his abilities felt more exciting to play with/against and less like "it's DbD, but slower and also no-one can see anything".
I feel a similar way. I stopped playing him long ago as his new playstyle just didn't interest me even if it was stronger. The thing about Freddy a small amount of other killers like him is that they re inforce the gen rush meta further. Which is something that I thought we wanted to move away from.
-
I'm of the opinion that waking up from clocks should be a 90 second cooldown before sleep to actually incentivise it. And skill checks should be 60 seconds.
Considering the fact that 90% of the time it chooses the farthest clock you end up wasting more time than you save. And failing skill checks is risky as he can instantly teleport to your gen anyway.
Freddy gets rewarded too much for nothing.
-
It's pretty lame. I've already had a few matches where a teammate would have survived had I been able to sabo a certian hook. Really dumb. It made sense with the last 2 events where you had to use them as there were actual sabo SWF troll squads but now its silly.

-
It's weird. I love teh 3 gen setup as trapper but hate is as hag. I just find her kinda dull to play and not particularly enjoyable to verse. That said I almost never play against her.
-
When he stops skipping leg day.
In all seriousness Wraith is like a few other killers like Micheal/Clown and other low tiers.
He's limited by the design of his power. Compare a top tier Wraith player to a intermediate or even beginner Wraith with a grasp of Red Stain/pallet mindgames and there's very little difference outside of gimmick builds like the hit and run build.
Outside of basic 115% killer base abilities his power doesn't allow much room for improvisation or high level play. Sure, windstorms base kit now but its pretty worthless without add ons that decrease decloak time or increase the speed boost.
Freddys a better stealth/ambush killer ironically because at least he's completely invisible from a certain range. Heck Deathslingers a better stealth killer on most maps.
-
I think the reason why so few people run the perk is that its unclear how it works with certain perks. Then theres the fact that BBQ works in a sort of backwards way compared to other aura perks so it doesnt work well against it.
-
There's so wack ass opinions out there that a worse killer should win against better survivors because "but me killer" its a pretty crap mentality thats only enforced further by certian content creators and self victimising you see on here and twitter/reddit.
-
It's a holdover from previous events where killers HAD to hook there to get serum. Some SWF squads would just sabo them over and over. It makes no sense now.
-
I stopped playing him ages ago. Nothing short of a 4 man swf sweat squad can beat you with a half decent killer and meta perks
Boring as heck
-
Ease off bro Cahlaflour is my waifu

More consistent balance changes.
Less boring killer (Every recent killer bar Oni and Blight)
Less awful maps that don't compliment the games style (Hawkins, Game, indoors maps in general).

I doubt its intentional. Will be fixed in 6 to 7 months.

Actual valid complaints or concerns.
Be respectful. Be precise. Elaborate as to why you see it as a problem.
Already seen all the vague, general answers and they do nothing to help address the problems. Let's use this discussion to positively impact the event (or next one).
Ok...
Go.
This entire event is 5 challenges. Thats it. You cant even interact with the pustulas after completing them.
It is pitiful. Especially compared to the last 2 blight events.
Not to mention you could get 2 free premium outfits as a reward for both of them.
-
Problem with Pyramid is he has exactly one viable playstyle. And its extremely boring. For both sides.
Every loop, every window, EVERY CHASE plays the same because what else should he do? Risky predictions with the projectile will probably just screw you over long term.
I feel nothing, no hype, excitement or feeling of "hah, outplayed" when that practically guaranteed torment trail hits/I pull out the sword and hit them. Because I know there was no other outcome. He might be my least favorite killer to play along with Slinger.
Meanwhile Blights feels incredibly rewarding when you try something unpredictable and it works out, or it misses by a hair and you adapt for next time.
Honestly they should go back to the drawing board with his projectile.
-
I checked into watch BoxGhost, got a code. Gone by the time I filled it in. When she said it was only for 10 people I checked out. No thanks. Better things to do with my time.
Pillars of eternity has been trying to pull me back for a while. Getting excited for this event and mid patch was a massive waste of time.

Wouldn't Myers be better with just removing a tier to power up? I don't know, it just seems like it takes too much time and when you have survivors on gens it can be annoying. I can see why people don't wanna use him. I know they're not the exact same power but the way they did Oni seemed balanced, least he gets his power by applying damage, which then applies pressure and not having to rely on stalking aka staring at survivors.
Just remove Evil Within 1, rename EW2 "stalk mode" and EW3 "Evil Within", give him undetecable while stalking (no stalk in Evil within mode).
Boom, potentailly viable on not huge maps.
-
@Slashstreetboy said:
Watching the stream, Ethan confirmed they are not giving Myers any love, but they are considering taking a look at his addons. Can´t wait for him to have even more useless addons and a cooldown on top of his hard cap for stalk. SMH...
Honestly blown away that they don't see a problem with a mediocre stealth killer with no Undetectable on command like every other steath killer to counter OoO.
No problem with him being 110 and having to hope no one sees him and runs while Ghostface and Wraith can immediately go for chases. Stalk is slower than Ghostfaces, has less utility than Ghostfaces and is barely functional since dedicated servers. No chase power after powering up his timed power like Oni.
No plans, awesome.
-
Each streamer code is only for 10 copies of the charm LMAO
I'm not even going to bother. What a waste.
-
The art team always knock it out of the park with this game. It's the design team that let them down.
-
I chuckled at the Freddy stats. Not even remotely surprising. As a solo player it doesnt matter how much I run him around or do gens. A half decent slowdown Freddy is unbeatable for a 4 man solo.

It completely destroys her ability to be competitively viable.
That's the dumbest take I've seen in a while. The only thing this changes is the stand still for free hit crap. The timing inbetween noises is too long for the survivor to get any major use out of it and ontop of that you shouldn't even be phasing long enough as Spirit to even let them hear more than 2 moans.
-
Judging by Clown and Blight its showing their 1st person animations in third person. Weird as hell.
-
People are going to hate this even though it actively raises her skill ceiling by allowing her to play around actual counterplay LMAO

I just noticed that the "Cumulative Healing Speed bonuses cannot exceed 100%" line was taken away from the description. Does that mean We'll make it got potentially buffed and will now stack with botany/desperate measures? Or even 2 we'll make it's on the same surv?
Or did they just remove it and are keeping the same restriction?
It always stacked with otehr perks. It just doesn't stack with itself. They just streamlined the description.

It can't be a downgrade because it just gives him an extra Rush token (from 5 to 6). He doesn't have choose between the rush and his power like all the other Killers.
Like I said I havent used it but I assume theres some sort of cooldown or something?
-
Well right now the Killer add on is the only one with the disclaimer that its only usable in the event.
Haven't used it myself yet. Seems like a straight downgrade on Blight himself. Might be fun on a stealth killer.

I'm not trying to badmouth or ridicule you, I'm just baffled. Because while some do have legit points about what needs to be tweaked about him (LBR, M&A is an overall broken perk, not just on him), I commonly see behaviour in matches against him (whether playing myself on either side or watching others) that are just baffling:
- The seeming refusal to learn about him on survivor side.
- The ignorance towards his powers.
1 : One of the first things a lot of Deathslinger players do in experience is get into a custom match and see what he can shoot through/over. Meanwhile a lot of people that complain that you can't loop him (at all) etc seem to try and run him at spots where it would seem obvious that he can shoot through/over.
2: The weirdest thing is still what some people do at the open gate. Like, sure, healing there gives extra points, but... if he's standing right there and you saw the reload animation going through, why would you still stand there, healing and teabagging? He has a gun that can pull you back to him. Forget those few points and run. Especially people who complain about his 'quickscoping' (which isn't actually something you can't pull off by default) should know better.
So, why? Sure, he needs some tweaks, but he's still not as impossible to counter as some seem certain.
I dislike his free zoning by tapping M2 within range as you HAVE to respect it, he doesn't need to commit to it at all and if you're healthy its a free hit into immediate harpoon. That's all really. His Harpoon gun is silly concept wise but I love it and I like the western theme. I also love his map.
Then theres the fact that hes basically a ranged stealth killer. Thats kinda weird. Not a fan.
-
Yeah theres zero incentive. Even Killing Floor 2. With how many hungry Tripwire has always been feels more rewarding. RAndom drops of tickets that can be combined for free cosmetics. Challenges that reward an event only (returning) cosmetic.
No cap on tickets either.
