  • As a killer main, PLEASE keep running self care! It’s a terrible perk and it does wonders for nurses calling lmao I always see people healing behind a rock or in a corner with no loops/pallets. Ez down.

  • Killer: Doctor

I run Discordance, Brutal Strength, Pop Goes The Weasel and NOED.

Discordance so I know where to go at the beginning of a match, 9 times out of 10 survivors will immediately hop on a gen together so it’s easy info for me. It also helps me know where I should use Pop, most of the time I can make it in time. Also helpful in knowing where injured survivors are because in my experience, survivors love to gen rush before they bother healing themselves. Sometimes they run adrenaline, sometimes they’re just ignorant. Pop goes the weasel to combat gen rush. Gen rush has been insane lately. Which is why I run NOED. It combats gen rush, survivors not taking the time to cleanse totems and the Adrenaline/Resilence gen rush meta. I shamelessly run NOED, especially after the mori nerf. Survivors love to try to bully me into not running it but I run it on every single build just to spite them :) lmao ALSO brutal strength is amazing, survivors love to loop the same pallets so I just immediately break all safe pallets. Saves me a lot of time to just break pallets instead of chasing around it and being looped potentially multiple times.

  • I had a pc player get on his Xbox to talk trash to me because he was mad he died first and commited too long to a gen and missed his DS when I grabbed him off, while he was dead on hook. He even commented on how I was running noed, even though he was dead way before endgame and it wasn’t needed to kill him. All while he was playing in a 4 man SWF who ONLY do gens with friends (I run discordance on every killer, so I always had the info). I thought that was amazing. Survivors always blame the killer for their misplays. Survivors telling me to k•ill myself is very common. Which u can imagine does wonders for my depression and suicidal thoughts lmao.

  • i don’t agree. Undying is fine. simply always assume it’s active unless otherwise proven wrong.

  • Downsides to dead head are:

    1) you have to be injured to use it, other exhaustion perks can be used at anytime while healthy.

    2) 99% of the time I am exhausted on the floor.

  • i find them annoying too. i always eat ds and get them out of the game lmao

  • I wish they did that for us. very disappointed in this event :/

  • yeah, I’m actually surprised I haven’t been seeing any posts about this? I was expecting to see everyone talking about it but nope.

there is NO heartbeat or terror radius currently. I’m still unsure if this is a bug or intended? but I find it odd no one has seemed to address it.

  • until bhvr gets around to fixing it - the way I fix it is dropping the survivor and picking them up again. I’m able to hook them after that. but this would be a problem if you’re barely making it to a hook in the first place, since they get wiggle progression lol

it’s just a bad situation for killers. I hope it gets hotfixed, why is hooking broken in the first place?

  • Simply to secure a kill. It’s not that deep. If it makes you feel better about yourself to assume killers are bullied individuals who are morally beneath you and probably having a worse time than you irl, you might be the one with the bad life lol

  • hey, as someone who plays both sides, noed is fair.

honestly you should never assume you've "won" just because you got all the gens done. as survivor, when the last gen is done, i know that's just part 1 of the game. part 2 is the endgame part of the game. in fact, in good games, most of the match is played in endgame because the killer can finally get some momentum after how easy and quick it is for the survivors to just sit on gens while their teammates are being chased.

my advice is: if you're walking along the map looking for a gen and you come across a totem, take a few seconds to cleanse it. i promise you can take a few seconds from your routine of rushing the gens as fast as possible to cleanse a totem. there's only five.

This'll be the kind of the thing that gets patched without any mention from the devs.

    that's what I'm hoping for :)

just wanted to see if they possibly addressed it without me noticing.

I don't think they have, but I saw this guy post on the forums the other day and he didn't get the attention he deserved for it, so this is how you do the thing.

cool thanks!! I'll check it out

  • @adalesmo said:

You can dead hard out of out and sometimes you can find the right position to get out.

But yeah, I had it happen once, really annoying. Hopefully there'll be a fix soon, but we might have to wait until the next PTB, or even later.

unfortunately dead hard doesn't get me out, I've tried </3

the only thing that seems to work is the killer downing me and picking me up, but also, i think some killers know of the bug and will refuse to down me. they'll just let me get three crows and either let me stay like that the rest of the game or I'll just have to dc, if I feel like doing that.

anyway yeah its happened about 5 times in the past two days for me. i hope it gets fixed soon too! hopefully a bit quicker than that but i understand the devs are working from home so it could take a while :)

  • in this screen, you're clearly in the survivor lobby. you have to be in the MAIN MENU and then click settings. you can't be in a lobby. that's why it's grayed out for you.

  • I don't like pigs because many of them just tunnel the guy with the trap on their head, and make the game miserable for just that one person. i.e they'll follow you with your trap on, while they're crouched, so they don't initiate chase, and wait for you to get it off, then down you and trap you again. They'll do this over and over again until all the gens are done. not kidding, they don't even care about the gens or winning, just ruining the game for the one person.

Again, it's obviously not everyone, but the reason some killers are hated as much as the pig is the particular scummy strategies they like to implement using that killers power.

  • I feel the same way, except about PC killers. literally every single one I've gone against have slugged the whole team at 5 gens. one PC killer even made me freeze in place at a pallet so they could catch up after getting looped for 4 gens. some of them literally NEED to lag just to be mediocre at best. imagine.

besides the killers, PC survivors are even worse. they do nothing while the rest of the team of console players do all the gens and be chased, unhook, take agro all game, then they leave through the hatch while you're in your first hook. OR they straight up just throw the game, like throwing a pallet and vaulting it until the killer shows up at the very beginning of the game just to get their Meg challenge done. literal trash.

and those experiences are just today.

despite that, according to PC survivors and killers, they're the epitome of top peak skill just cause "tHE sKILlcAp WiTh mOUse aNd kEybOaRd iS fAr suPerioR thAn cOntROllErs" and us console players are "trash" lmao sure guys

  • im late and your question has already been answered but i just wanted to confirm i played on switch earlier today and definitely faced two Freddys :)

  • he's awesome. a lot of ppl aren't cultured, they're more interested in horror figures that are more mainstream, because they don't know how to like things without other people telling them it's cool lol

anyway - he'd be great in the game! as would anyone else :)

  • you get +1000 bloodpoints for cleansing dull totems. 15 seconds x5 isn't a long time to help prevent noed, which often leads to the killer snowballing at endgame.

  • +1

i use discordance on all of my killer builds. it helps genrushing a lot. i have learned many survivors will ONLY do gens with friends lol. easy kills everytime.

edit : also it always helps you know where to go at the beginning of a match so you don't waste time checking other gens :)

  • that's a good thing.

  • yeah, this has happened to me too. usually they're swf that are too entitled to let their team be killed when they misplay.

in my case, i had a solid three gen on a side of the map with no more pallets. i noticed the three gen early on and made sure to get rid of all pallets in the area by chasing survivors there. i worked for my kills, didn't tunnel or camp, everyone was on death hook. last two survivors refused to do gens since my three gen was in a straight line and hatch spawned right near it so i had no reason not to patrol the area. there was nothing for me anywhere else on the map. when i finally find the urban evading claud, she runs until i land a hit on her then she disconnects and her friend immediately leaves through the hatch, effectively denying me at least more kill. I didn't misplay, or play dirty, so it was a bit undeserved. she said they "made a bet" that whoever got found first would have to dc lol ok

anyway, I don't think a dc penalty will help. it might, but most survivors will still dc anyway to help their friend and just take the penalty.

  • survivors have killer tracking perks. we have dark sense - which lets the whole team see the killer's aura when a gen is completed. we have alert - which lets the survivor with the perk see the killer's aura when the killer damages a gen, breaks a pallet, or breaks a wall. we also have a key add-on called blood amber which, at the cost of the map deteriorating quicker, can reveal the killer's aura to you when you mind channel the key. survivors have lots of options IMO.

don't worry caz, no one is offended. we are discussing. people discuss things on forums lmao

I think this is a bit rude and insensitive.

Many women are on the thicker side, especially from the waist down.

What’s wrong with those players having some body positive representation in the game?

    thank you for being logical!

I'm well aware it's wrong, I took issue with your wording "most realistic", particularly most. Used to show when something is better or more important than another.

In this context I took "most realistic" to mean Jane's body is more realistic than others.

I understand, sorry for the "most" part then. my only point was she has normal body type and it's insulting to act like having a big butt is weird or inhuman? clearly all body types are realistic, didn't mean to put one down over the other.

but yeah sorry for coming off as a jerk?? I don't mean to.

  • do what you want. everyone here tells you it's boring cause it works. :)

  • once again, never said it was less realistic to be thin. me saying a body type is the most normal/realistic isn't me saying other body types aren't realistic. I don't know where you're getting that from? it's not my fault you interpreted what I said that way.

it's also wrong to say someones body type isn't realstic cause they aren't thin lol

  • okay, that's fine, my point still stands that I never said being thin isn't realistic and you made it into something it wasn't. :)

So thin people aren't realistic then?

Theres representation of a lot of people in dbd, calling one more "realistic" than the other is just wrong.

no, I'm obviously referring to her statement that "Jane's butt isn't a human butt."

if you like feeling oppressed for being thin so much that you misinterpret my response in that way, that's a you problem

  • ???

Jane has the most normal and realistic body in the game.

  • Need new bill cosmetics!

  • I think they need to make more strong killers with a low skill cap. Killers SHOULD be easy to learn and use. Freddy being strong with a low skill cap is exactly what the game needs.

  • I play with my bf so we take turns passing the controller. Not working currently bc corona, so sometimes we play DBD all day. Most of the time we play at night for 6 hours or so. Some days I only play 1 or 2 games. I have over 3000 hours on XBOX but that's with two people playing :)

Old dead hard was so much better. That was when it was actually used to avoid hits instead of making distance.

Agree 100%. When it worked as intended pre-servers, it was a great perk. In it's current state, I think it's silly to complain about it.

  • If anything DH needs a buff. I'm constantly exhausted on the ground. If it works as intended and actually let you dodge a hit, survivors wouldn't have to use for distance.

  • Yep. Always have survivors tell me I'm bad for tunneling a toxic player. "Flashlights are just apart of the game, you can just look at a wall, or bring franklins." Yeah, and I can just tunnel you since you like to deny hooks, since thats also just part of the game.

As a survivor, I understand completely when I get camped for doing toxic things. Or even for looping for a long time, cause I guess I can understand why that could be percieved as toxic.

Its so strange for people to pretend they aren't toxic in a game where the gamechanging plays usually have to be made in toxic ways.

  • Lol that makes sense. I was wondering why all of them have had no TR recently. Assumed M&A. It hasn't been a problem for me personally cause hes so easy to see. Hope it gets figured out!

  • Probably running monitor and abuse. Lots of high rank deathslingers run it. As a survivor, they need to pay attention visually, not just worry about the audio cue of the terror radius. Hes a tall, lanky mf. You can see him coming a mile away even if you dont hear the TR.

I take it you and your bro also have problems with Tier 1 Myers and Shrouded GF?

  • Its balanced in my opinion. You need to go about it strategically. I try to get the gens in the middle done first. Or the one in the saloon, or the one by the killer shack. You'll be better off getting the more risky gens done first, that way it doesn't snowball in the killers favor when he just has to walk in a straight line to patrol gens. Try to do any gen in the 3 gen and you'll be good. There are tons of pallets and loops on this map.

  • Imo because they wanted more money and the community tends to like female survivors more. Proof of this is them including Lisa Garland but no Male legendary skin. I think there's better characters than Cheryl.

  • Asking the real questions.

  • What buffs would you like? I think most survivor perks are fine. Maybe add a totem counter to small game. But other than that, not sure what could change lol

  • Lol I was gonna tell you to just dodge lobbies, but you already have that covered. Keep doing that. There's not much else to do, survivors will bring toolboxes to help them complete their objective quicker, and its only fair to use the tools available to them. Especially since pre-nerf, one toolbox used to last all game and still have charges after doing 5 gens. Post nerf, it only helps finish about half a gen, even with add ons. They're nowhere near as helpful/OP as they used to be. I used to dodge 1 toolbox lobbies.

Personally, now a days, I always dodge lobbies with 3 or more toolboxes.

  • Yeah, theoretically survivors wouldnt be able to switch characters either because Quentin isn't on the switch. My guess is they're currently just testing out killer for whatever reason. Or just a bug

  • I think it's a bug or maybe they're testing the waters for crossplay matchmaking. For example, Freddy isn't on switch so you cant put a Switch survivor in the lobby and then have the killer switch to freddy because he isn't in their game.

  • I know this is sarcasm but Huntress is next. Others dont need to be touched.

  • I like endgame. Sometimes half of the game is spent in endgame and you can make it turn around in your favor. And sometimes you cant, because it's an asymmetrical game, so the opposite side is going to win too some games.
