  • Not toxic. Survivors need to stop thinking they're entitled to an escape just because they sat on gens all game. Since NOED is so meta, they need to also focus on totems instead of only rushing gens. But what do I know, I'm just a rank 1 survivor lmao

  • this happens to me and my friends a lot on xbox. what fixes it is restarting the game. sometimes just you have to restart and sometimes everyone has to restart. it's a running joke for me and my friends about having to restart basically every match lmao

  • this would be good for those unfortunate camp situations. but bt is such a good perk, so i think it would be too much to have built in endurance

Look, someone blaming ranks for their loss again.

Once again - SURVIVOR RANKS ARE A PARTICIPATION TROPHY. Any green rank players you would play against will easily be at red rank in a matter of hours. There's next to no difference.

Imagine thinking ranks dont matter just because its "easy to rank up." Rank one survivors with possibly thousands of hours EACH, versus a green rank with MAYBE a couple hundred hours. Sure. That's definitely fair. Ranks matter.

Iri head can easily be changed

Make the add-on trump other add-ons that increase total hatchet count.

(if you don’t know what that means, add-ons that increase hatchet count won’t work)

This is a good idea! One iri head Hatchet can be fair. 3? Not really.

  • I would rate it fair. :)

  • DS is $5 and honestly the only dlc perk you need to do well in this game, not sure what other dlc you needed to get unless you mean for killers. My game changed completely when I got DS. Before that, I was also having a terrible time.

As for killer, you can play fair if you want but survivors will always take advantage of that and you wont get anything done. Do what you have to do, camp and tunnel when necessary. Cause gen speeds are crazy fast sometimes.

Try not to focus so much on making it an enjoyable experience for everyone and instead try to have fun for yourself. You cannot please everyone. And honestly if you're "fair" to survivors, they'll still make sure to tell you how bad you are at the game. So just play how you want.

I understand needing to take a break or leave altogether, this game is really frustrating lol

    wish you the best.

  • I dont mind killers camping with noed. Why blame him when all the gens got done so quickly? 3 gens can pop after downing one guy in a quick chase.

  • Try to chase one and down them. You will always lose your gens. High ranks will just sit on the gens. The only way to get them off is chasing them off or hooking someone so they have to get off to save the person on the hook. Thats the only way.

  • @emptyCups said:

yeah ! When a killer kills somebody it means they have NO SKill gg ez no re

Iri heads are OP. They take no skill. Throwing whales and getting an easy instadown is no skill.

I support changing it to be like Deathslingers instadown. Have to hit an accurate shot from a certain number of meters away.

  • Your team probably fed him tier 3. There's no way to pop infinite tier 3 and tombstone quickly unless someone is staring back at him.

  • I like the option to DC when I'm being griefed or the killer has the entire team on the floor at 4 gens. At that point it's not much of a game anyways. That's really the only few times I support dcing

  • That probably should be changed but I always have enough time to mend. Plenty of time imo

  • I wonder why people say to just ignore endgame chat? Not everyone plays on PC. I play on xbox and nothing stops the messages from showing up in your message requests. Yeah, you can ignore it, but the point is people shouldn't be verbally abusing other people over a game. It is bullying.

  • yeah, whenever I'm solo, I get placed with rank 20 teammates. its like you need to play with high rank SWF to actually have a fair game. and I dont get paired with rank 10 killers, they're rank 1-4.

also, on the flip side, as a rank 1 killer I get placed in baby lobbies. which is completely unfair to baby survivors playing their first games.

So you blame the unhooked survivor, whos the only one innocent, but gets his game ruined by both other parties? Hilarious.

Yeah man, always. I will always punish the unhooked survivor for their teammate unhooking in my face. Why, as killer, would I not take that opportunity? Farming people without BT is NEVER a good play. Farming people even with BT immediately after they're hooked is also not a good play. If the killer doesn't get the chance to leave the hook, they aren't camping or tunneling. The survivors are just making bad plays and will be punished for it lol

  • @Huff said:

I'm not saying everyone who thinks the change is bad is a tunneling camper or whatever...

Just, if that is your playstyle, might as well convert over to Bubba or Pig. IDK why people complained so much about PH camping when other killers can do it much more effectively without having to set up a trail.

At least with these killers people can still camp and tunnel with little to no penalty (other than potentially losing the game, which is a given when somebody just camps all game) and we know BHVR won't change them since they haven't been touched in forever.

I agree there's better camping killers, i.e Freddy. The issue is that if you're tunneled by a pig or LF, you have the chance to use the perks you brought with you i.e DS or BT. Yeah, they can slug you for 60 seconds. But the perk still procs. PH cages had no counter to tunneling.

if bt and ds worked with cages they would've been extremely useless , used only in very specific situations..

I agree completely. I'm fine with cages not activating BT or DS, as long as PH cant see the cage. If hook perks dont work, it's fair. Which is why the hotfix was good.

Edit: my original comment is a in response to the reaction of camping cages. If PH wants to be able to see auras of cages and camp cages, BT and DS should activate. But now that they cant see the aura, its balanced for BT and DS to not proc.

  • @FogLurker said:

As usual, the trash players that play like scum because they wanna tunnel and camp ruin a killer for the rest of us that don't.

Bingo. I was excited to play as PH. But as survivor, it was miserable. I knew he was gonna get nerfed the first day the DLC came out cause the tunneling was relentless.

  • Very good hotfix!

  • It would've been fine if BT and DS worked with cages. But since they didn't do that, unfortunately they had to nerf.

Edit: Camping is a strat and campers have every right to do so and play how they want. However, for balance reasons, survivors still need an opportunity to play around it.

No it's trash, they introduce a killer who is designed for tunneling and now they make him bad at what he is supposed to do.

No killer is "designed to tunnel." Their mechanics are exploited by tunnelers. If you guys didnt tunnel everyone out of cages, he wouldnt have gotten the nerf. Almost every ph were playing like that because they think he was "designed to tunnel." You got him nerfed yourself.

  • All the changes were much needed. All PH were using the aura info to tunnel.

  • To be honest you shouldn't have to go tunnel. If you want that info, hook them. But let me guess, you prefer cages because you dont like BT and DS.

  • I can agree with everything except the locker. Survivors who are being tunneled shouldn't only have the option to be slugged for their ds. Or if someone's baiting you to pull them out and you dont want to eat their ds, just... ignore them? They can only taunt you for a minute. If a killer wants to tunnel a survivor, pull them out of the locker and eat their ds or wait 30 seconds. Or just find someone else.

  • If a killer is camping with a mori, best thing to do is do gens. I understand it seems massively slowed down but its honestly not that bad once you get used to it. The goal is to get as much done on gens as possible, to apply as much pressure back on the killer. It may seem counter intuitive to not save your teammates but you cant do much else against camping killers, not just Freddy. Work with teammates. Only time you cant do that is if hes running discordance. Genrushing works just fine against me as Freddy.

  • I like empathy more than bond because it's like 60+ meters. So I can see people a lot further away. It's a lot of info. Kindred is better than both though.

  • ^ They know much more than me lol

  • It's because they're either running, which pauses their deep wound timer, or they start mending immediately, which also pauses the timer.

  • @BaldursGate2 said:

I like it against my freddy because it doesnt work.

    Same.

Hit every guy with BT trying to go for unsafe hooks and it's not a problem. :)

  • Imagine being upset that the unhooked guy with BT is making a dumb play by trying to get hit and waste his own time mending, when you can just easily go around him. Lol

  • @Todgeweiht said:

Maybe I would take your "anti tunneling" perk more seriously if you didnt use it as 60 seconds of invincibility in a locker

Do you want him to let you slug him? Cause I have to ask, why would a survivor let you slug out their DS?

  • @VSchmitt said:

FiX tUnEllYiNg and CAmpING. Yeah man. Yeah. 'Cause killers still should be punished after a minute that a survivor was dumbly unhooked.

Yeah man. A minute is a fair amount of time. Its literally only enough time to heal yourself. I guess I'm bias cause I play killer mostly, and I dont mind eating ds. Its what I get for tunneling instead of finding one of the other two guys.

  • hi, at rank 1 doctor is one of my mains!

i run the usual good build/perks on him:

    • BBQ (for even more awareness + points)

    • Brutal Strength to get rid of all loopable pallets immediately

    • I'm All Ears for the wallhacks. Its funny how you can stand completely still and the survivor will eventually circle around into you when they start panicking lol

    • Pop Goes The Weasel for gen control.

    • Infectious Fright to either scare nearby survivors away/off gens or to notify me someone is near when someone goes down in a pallet. Or for flashlight save, etc. I've gone against many coordinated SWF. And I'm aware doctor has BUILT IN tracking, but it's not always available.

    • Nurses Calling for people who are cocky and think they dont have to find a good place to hide before healing. You wont believe the amount of cocky survivors I find healing around the corner, after being good enough for me to lose them in the first place. Like come on man, dont heal in the killers TR lol

    • Last but not least, NOED. In every build.

Word of advice: dont let survivors make you feel bad for using NOED. They will try. Because it's a good perk. I dont ever feel bad for using noed because im a rank 1 survivor and i know how incredibly easy it is to sit on gens and gen rush the killer. and if you just HAVE to finish the last gen in my face, even better! NOED punishes toxic sh*t like that. Also its VERY easy to counter. I cleanse most totems on my own every game.

I dont like hex perks like ruin and devour hope because it can be gone immediately depending on RNG and playing a game with half your perks gone is brutal.

  • Yup. As long as I keep being camped and tunneled off most of my hooks, I think DS is completely balanced.

  • For reference: this is on Xbox.

  • Yeah. I thought this was just a personal issue for me. Before, the issue was I was in being put in all rank 1 lobbies as survivors, but we would be against a rank 20-16 killer which is absolute bs. Now the issue is I'm usually the rank 1, all 3 other teammates will be rank 20 (probably their first games), and we'll have a high rank killer. Solo is basically unplayable because they keep pairing me with low rank teammates and I still dont know who came up with the myth that rsnk doesn't matter. A complete potato, trash red rank player that somehow made it to rank 1 still has more experience than someone who is playing their VERY FIRST GAME or first few games - rank absolutely matters. I shouldn't have to be paired with new players just because I'm in solo queue.

  • Not sure if they're being funny but no, I dont think you can.

  • I dont think hes bad. I never play clown and I did the other day for a daily and accidentally got a 4K. At rank 1. Lmao

Why do you assume it's hackers? It's probably just a bug because something similar happened to me. But not hrs, just 15 min or so

Because its time to stop pretending there aren't tons of hackers who play DBD and constantly hack the game on all platforms.

  • Because they need it. Have you played killer? Also matchmaking is so trash that rank 20-10 killers get paired with all 4 rank 1 survivors. Yeah man, they're going to have to run noed to keep up. That should be common sense.

  • I use DS, because I really do need it most matches. Dead Hard because I still cant let go of how great it was pre-dedicated servers. Works sometimes. Borrowed Time so I can always save safely against campers. Fourth perk is Inner Strength. Counters noed and lets me heal multiple times which is great because as solo, unless you run bond, etc, it can be hard to find another survivor to heal you. And I tend to lose the killer, or have then give up on me, multiple times a game. Also counters nurses calling and sloppy butcher. Inner strength is probably my favorite perk. :)

And what about when you passively fall asleep mid chase? Or take an M1 hit? Or in the higher ranks meet Freddy running ultra-rares and you are not even allowed to wake up?

I like how you say 'all you have to do to get BT is wake up' and completely ignore how he can proxy camp and always hit the survivor before they make it to the hook; always denying BT and letting him farm the hooked survivor easily.

Lol maybe dont farm after you get hit. As with ANY killer that camps, just do generators instead of trying to storm the hook of the killer who is clearly camping. That's your own mistake.

  • Ridiculous. I'm rank 1 survivor and I've been paired 2ith rank 20-13 killers. It's way too easy for high ranks to bully low rsnk killers. I'm not sure where the "rank doesn't mean anything" myth came from but its absolute bullsh*t. Rank (which sometimes directly correlates with time spent playing) absolutely does matter in terms of matchmaking. Its unacceptable.

  • @hillbillyclaudmain69 said:

Tbh I only have a problem with freddy(as and against) hes too easy to play. He has little to no counterplay, and he's one of the strongest killers. You can get a 4k against red ranks on your first game as him. (I did) I personally never play as him just because I like a challenge. But hey, you do you.

His counter play is waking up.

So, what happens when I just hook somebody, and don't even have time to leave the area before *SOUND NOTIFICATION* of an unhook, where the now BT protected survivor will body block the narrow space, guarding their savior. Or they'll proceed to chase me as I chase their savior, knowing they have 20 seconds of invulnerability to hamper my progress, be it body blocking, standing in a narrow space which forces me to go around, or camping a pallet. This is normal play here, not a rare occurrence.

BT is not okay. It allows for very stupid plays, because those plays are safe.

If anything, BT should have tickets, or tokens. Certain actions, say healing for instance, would give tokens. One would need to be expended when going for the unhook while in a terror radius. Damage to a BT survivor should be reflected onto the savior, or at least a debuff of some kind. BT should not be a 'get out of jail free' card as it is now. It needs some kind of risk involved, to cultivate a more cautious and thought out playstyle around it.

In those cases, you need to hit the unhooker and go AROUND/ignore the unhooked guy with BT.
