Yeah, that is a fair point.
But , I guess I have played so long I don't care about those things.
Well that's not something game meant you do to, I think.
Having more emblem is always good... right?

How are the devs supposed to balance the core game mechanics (gens, maps, spawns, camping, etc.) when the killer roster has outliers that are far stronger than average? Nurse and Blight need to be brought down in line with the rest of the killers or the game will never be improved in terms of balance. Expecting the devs to make changes to the other 24 killers rather than the 2 that overperform is delusional.
Just balance killers around survivors?
Because average strength of killers are nothing, it doesn't matter at all for balancing.
-
16seconds.
-
New ringu killer will be old freddy reskin.
-
We have good survivors and bad survivors, bad survivors get mad at everything, even demo puppy, good survivors can deal with pretty much everything, even the nurse/blight.

Didnt you read what i said? Do you think solo teams are coordinated enough to split up on gens?
Do you actually think "most players are bad" is good reason to nerf something?
-
Out of those perks, NWO, BBQ, Tinker and PR scourge is pretty meta, nurses calling/eruption/plaything is not meta but pretty strong, I think all ears is pretty much off-meta.
Well not gonna dismiss anything you said though.

news flash, not everyone in this game is like you.
I mean, it is literally a skill issue then.

Typically it goes something like "Blight is the most balanced killer". Which is proven to be a disingenuous argument, as the second you point out how broken he is compared to the rest of the roster, they'll shift to "yes and every killer should be as broken as Blight".
If you compare him to what survivors can do, you will see how balanced he is.
compare a killer to survivor, not other killers.

MMR is fine for killers. But i honestly dont think its fine for survivors. MMR showed me that this game is killer sided. Killers can consistently get 3-4ks even at High MMR if they play well. And, im tired of playing against the same 3-4 killers that use the same, uncounterable meta builds.
It is somewhat opposite, MMR for survivors works for finding teammate with same skill set, but MMR for killers doesn't work as MMR will not be used for matchmaking with opponent, because there is not enough killers to do so.

Solo q itself is already painful and stressful enough. Against a killer like blight who’s running their best add-ons and build there’s literally nothing you can really do. How is a survivor going to tell the others he has tinkerer? They’re probably not even going to all be on a gen at the same time. This busted killer destroys even some of the best SWF groups.
I mean, if a best killer can't destroy best SWF groups, game is broken.

Lol. Typical killer main response. ''Just get better against a killer that can travel the map so quickly and get downs while doing it..'' Have you ever played against a good Blight that has 4 gen regression perks? You dont like you have.
Imagine actually getting mad at something like that.

I'll never understand the need to 4k that much.
Take the guaranteed 3k, and hope to find the hatch first, who cares if one gets there first?
Entity cares.
4k is necessity to iridescent emblem for sacrifice, and that's the biggest problem I think.
It is needed to both pip up and adept.

Killers can't defend gens because of one thing in particular. Survivors can't unhook because of one thing in particular. Simple. Stop being so dishonest.
Now it kinda makes sense.
But killers will lose the game by preventing those unhooks, while survivors will win by finishing those generators.
Can you honestly say that is equivalent?
-
@Faulds said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2805753#Comment_2805753
You want a better equivalent? Old brand new parts then.
But how is it equivalent?
I don't get why killers getting a kill with whopping 120 seconds of pseudo afk is equivalent to survivors fixing a generator in one click, I'd say I don't even get a connection between those two.
-
@Faulds said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2805727#Comment_2805727
You make no sense cause you don't play the other side. For you a killer able to mechanically block any unhook, that isn't a problem. Let me give you an equivalent: what about places where downed survivor wouldn't be picked up by the killer? Fair?
Are you sure is it really equivalent though?
Removing killer's capability to hook is like removing survivor's capability to do generators since both of those are main objective of them, I don't know what will be equivalent though... maybe removing the capability to kick/slowdown gens or something like that?
-
@Faulds said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2805711#Comment_2805711
I said that noed should be a one minute timer. Someone else said that it would make the perk useless. I played endgame noed builds, and then thought that a 60 seconds timer might make those builds bland then. So i wouldn't be against a bigger timer or a permanent noed under certain conditions. When someone make a valid point my position evolve. You didn't make any, and you make no sense.
It doesn't matter whether if I make sense to you or not, because that's not the point.
-
I'm in for removing hatch, forced to lose merciless just because RNG favored them is not something very good.
Oh alternatively we could make it so hatch spawn closed but killers can see their aura and open it up, I think it works same as now.
-
@Faulds said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2805696#Comment_2805696
When people object valid points my position evolve. I still didn't see any one else doing the same though.
If you are the only one who decide a point is valid or not, I don't think any debate can have meaning.
-
@Faulds said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2805681#Comment_2805681
Then it's quite obvious that you don't play much survivor. Survivors don't like playing ham on hook simulator.
Look? this is the problem, if people see different opinion, they just go "you aren't playing" or "you clearly are xxx main".
-
@Faulds said:

As i said. You make one side experience miserable for no reason. What don't you understand about it? Do you need someone to camp you like that, or your teammate, every game to understand?
I won't consider getting camped "miserable", that's the reason.
Same reason as I don't consider getting hit by killers "miserable".
-
@Faulds said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2805657#Comment_2805657
No. As i said. You don't understand survivors' end. You only care about killers. Thats so fricking obvious. You make one side miserable for no reason.
Ah yes, this is the reason why we can't debate things.
-
@Faulds said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2805644#Comment_2805644
It is the same from a survivor's perspective. You're only thinking about killers. What do you think the game experience is facing it? That is exactly what i'm all about. You don't care about other side. You have a one sided point of view.
I mean... you are only thinking about survivors because you are literally ignoring the existence of killers in this case?
The game experience facing it is more or less "died from camping" and that's it.
-
@Faulds said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2805634#Comment_2805634
So you're accepting that a survivor shouldn't be able to be unhooked at all. That makes no sense from a survivor's perspective. No sense.
It's different from simply removing capability to unhook from survivors... because it involves killer interaction.
You may feel like it is same, but it's actually not.
-
@Faulds said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2805625#Comment_2805625
That's exactly the issue with Bubba and Doctor in the scenarios above. And yet...
I don't think killers having capability to stop unhooking is that bad, especially when it's involving their power.
It takes time and some effort, and more or less uniqueness of them.
-
@Faulds said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2805616#Comment_2805616
Which comes from experience. Since you have to confront theory to reality.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2805610#Comment_2805610
Some times they are right, sometimes they are wrong... sometimes its partially both.
You have more chance to experience something with higher playtime and playing both side, but I think what's important is breaking down why that's a bad/good thing.
I mean if someone says "survivor shouldn't be able to unhook other survivors" your head would be filled with question marks.
-

I have 3,4k hours on that game... playing both sides. I know that game quite a bit now.
I don't think play time makes opinion right neither, probably logical reasoning or something like that.

Yeah, and here we are hours from grade reset with lots of BP to spend. They should reactivate her with a warning to the bug. It's not like the bug gives her an unfair advantage.
I mean forcing survivors to play with afk killer is more or less disadvantage for them.
-

I play both sides, and i know that there is issues on both ends.
Playing both sides doesn't magically make your opinion right though?
That's not a very good reason to validate it.

People really shouldn't care about others having fun in PvP games, that destroys competitive emvironment.

I'd say balance discussion in general is pointless because BHVR don't care balance.
Try to discuss something better. -
I think you shouldn't play pig.

@Faulds said:
Is it that hard to understand? I want, for example, a definite criteria of what is balanced or not balanced. What is a problem and what isn't. So people stop talking into the void.
I mean no one knows?
If we look at statistics, pretty much everything is fine.
Call BHVR and they may or may not fix those "issues".

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2805507#Comment_2805507I mean why should we change things based on lack of knowledge...?

Survivors during the day (shorter queues) in solo play better than survivors during the night (longer queues) in solo. Just ask @Shaped since we apparently share the exact same experience
I mean that's just... normal?
If there is more players, there will be more bad players... it doesn't change anything.

Thing is Nurse really isnt all that hard to learn compared to the other killers, I think the reason why so many people struggle with her at first is because of the numerous misconceptions that have been floating around, a big one being shes a killer all about guessing/reading your opponent.
Nurse really isn't that hard, and at the same time she really isn't that hard to counter.
Basically, she is pretty balanced good killer.
-
1 game should aim for 75% kill rate so I can actually play survivors.
2 meanwhile give em more bp.
