So I think we better introduce a killer which automatically slows gen progression speed by 66% and has no power? at least people can loop him a lot as much as they want.
-
I like how some people still gets mad when most strongest part is not there anymore lol
it's like 99% power nerf has changed to 75% power nerf, I won't say it's useless but it's far worse than what it was, like order of magnitude worse.

@Gamall said:
They can spawn because S tier killers exist and can counter them.
You simply had the misfortune of using one of the poorest killers in chase
I'm pretty sure map RNG never cared about what killers do exists.

@C3Tooth said:
Gens should have check point at 30sec & 60sec and no regress further. I would take regression speed equal progression and 5% on kick.
As long as a 90% Gen can be regressed to 0%. Base Gen loss/regression cant be higher.
Yeah but that's purely because you've multiplied regression speed to 400%, of course "base gen loss can't be higher" if you make such big change.
2.5% or 5% it doesn't make big of a difference, it could discourage gen tapping but that's about it.

Iron will wasn't gutted but reworked since this single perk could completely counter the power of a certain killer (spirit), so it was a needed thing to do.
That reclassification is nonsense and you -know- it is nonsense.
DS wasn't nerfed but fixed since it was supposed to stun for 3 seconds
That one may actually be true, but it's also turning a blind eye to the entire state of the game, and the perk itself. It was 3 seconds back when it was on-demand. It became 5 seconds, then it got tied to getting unhooked, then it got the conspic action nerf.
The bottom line is that the DS that was 3 seconds but needed to be 5 seconds because of Enduring is not the same perk as the DS that got its stun duration axed from 5 to 3. It's blatantly disregarding the state of the game with a 'well, technically' that you KNOW is just a rationalisation.
Both Iron Will and DS were gutted.
Good luck trying to catch someone then in the maps that are present nowdays with a killer that isn't a blight or nurse then (maps full of pallets, most of them extremely safe due to the fact that they are near jungle gyms and strong loops make impossible to end a chase in few time if the chased survivor is decent at looping)
That depends entirely on the killer and the build. Y'all act like you're playing adept Twins all the time.
And even those can secure a quick down, at least.
improvements? Are you talking to red addons that are gimmick or awfully bad perhaps? the only killers with decent red addons are blight and trapper (and despite this he need to waste an addon slot for the trapper bag to be somewhat viable), everyone else has red addons that are mediocre or bad. As i said if you see the entire picture you'll see that survivors have the upper hand regarding items and addons
You also get improved access to yellows and greens that ARE competent, and you need fewer BP to build up a stock of these add-ons so you can afford to be less frugal with them. The bloodweb improvement was for both sides.
so for you seeing the classic hyperfocus/stake out/build to last combo paired with green toolboxes isn't troublesome and won't definitely boost the genspeed uh? Please, try to be impartial, even certain survivor mains that i personally know told me that this combo is BUSTED af
It's got a 2% pickrate. If it was that brutally busted, why is almost no one running it?
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3353145#Comment_3353145
What, because of freebie kills? Because of how the EGC can shove in an extra undeserved kill here and there? Doesn't really help your argument though, does it? And no, the regression buff did not get reverted at all.
I'd be interested to see where you get these 'statistics', because we didn't get any since October. Unless you count Azhimovs' community thing, but those statistics definitely don't support your argument.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3353160#Comment_3353160
It's an extra 2 seconds every time you kick a gen. Whenever you injure a survivor, you shave off .3 seconds. Get ten hits throughout the game, that's 3 seconds off. Then add the reduced on-hit sprint, taking away some extra distance, combined with the reduced on-hit cooldown to take away even more distance.
If you combine all of the buffs killers got, on an average match, you're probably saving way more time than any of you are willing to admit.
Gen completion times having ten seconds added was rendered completely inconsequential from hyperfocus/stakeout (which enables gens to be completed faster than ever except for original BNP).
And very few people are actually using that, for some reason.
The only kill rates that can truly be referenced for any accuracy when it comes to how lethal a killer really is are from the best vs the best, not a gaggle of varied skill levels/knowledge.
Sure, if you want DBD to turn into an unplayable spectator sport.
It does though? because undeserved kills are more or less corrupted data.
Also only thing that can actually be considered as "buff" was eruption and thana, which got nerfed and now worse than ever.
Anything else is at best sidegrade, and since best regressions has been nerfed calling it a buff at all is laughable now.
-
Or simply replacing hook mechanics with PH cage, we always had plenty of "simple" fixes yet BHVR never really tried to do "simple" fix, somehow they preferred strange complexity method all the time.

59-61%.
How is the game supposed to be in a 'lot more unbalanced state'? You forget that in 6.1, killers had their regression buffed, they had their on-hit cooldown reduced, survivors had their hit-sprint reduced, and gentime was increased by a total of fifty seconds.
Why should killers receive buffs if y'all are just gonna show up here a month later pretending you didn't get anything?
Because the number 59-61% was actually equivalent of 50% if you think about how this game works, and their " regression buff" actually got reverted in 90% of aspect and now it's basically nonexistent.
And I said "technically" because it doesn't match solo experience, it's just that this game got much less balanced in big picture aka "statistics".
-
It must be and it meant to be lol
-
That perk is honestly not even high risk in most situation, health state will be no different whether you use it or not and it's generally net positive when hook state is varied.
I've seen it in a lot of coordinated teams, at least in PuGs.

I have palyed both killers, that's why I said "I used to think doctor didn't need much skill"
Then play lot more killers, and not just few matches.
Doctor is not bad but definitely not on easy camp.
-
Because his power can't hit through pallet and such?
lot of limitation he has, will not deserve nerf.
-
Did you know summoning guards takes skill lul
no I'm being serious.
-
You don't need "first hook" part, just 20% slowdown which gets reduction with less people would do the job just fine.

If everyone was just hiding in a locker until someone Else Got found, nothing would ever get done. It’s not really a counter. Against a strong killer who knows what they are doing, everyone Will go Down at Some point. It’s enevitable. Especially against killers like nurse, Huntress and Blight. And it still doesn’t solve the issue with Solo… cause facecamped solo survivors have absolutely no reason to stay in the match… most of Them Will either try to Kobe or DC and the remaining survivors are doomed.
You don't have to be in locker to stay hidden, just don't be first.
-
Or literally just rework the ######### hook itself.

@HugTechLover said:
Us vs Them is strong with this one… some of y’all will never grow out of it.
Maybe if killer mains and survivor mains got together and discussed things with some maturity, rather than a screaming match of who’s louder…. Maybe we’d get some results.
Reason over passion!
I doubt it, literally no one thinks bubba is healthy yet nothing has been done.
-
If que time is so long and population is so unbalanced to the point lobby dodging becomes the problem, that's a game balance and que issue, not the killer issue I think.
game is not even started and I don't think people has to play that game.

Yes but you're talking as if every game you faced a comp team or a spicy swf. In these cases it is necessary, in the others absolutely not.
Realistically speaking, both camping and tunneling is not a strategy that works from mid-match.
Just think about it, time is a resource, why do killers waste it in hope of opponents might not be a chill people.
Ask bhvr to show SWF and maybe things might change slightly, or maybe not because actually good soloq survivor team do exists.

@Tjiani said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3352099#Comment_3352099
It’s both. I still Think Facecamping and tunneling should be less beneficial for the killer to do. I still Think it ruins the game. You are all saying that facecamping is not preventing the hooked survivor from playing the game, but none of you Can come up with actual counterplay or options for the person hooked the entire match.
Tunneling is not too bad if you are in a SWF but waay too strong when dealing with solo survivors because they are never guaranteed a helping hand from their teammates, often quite the opposite. Being unhooked right in front of the killer, gives you what options to survive? DS 3 second stun or a DH easy to wait out? People sandbagging, noone willing to take a hit ect. There is only so much you can do when you are on your own. If solo survivor is gonna survive, it needs to be balanced more and I Think this is a Way to do it. People need to feel that they can protect themselves and right now there are no perks strong enough to balance solo.
Actually there is really easy counter to face camping, don't get found and don't get hooked.
-
@FMG15 said:
Why should we deny soloQ players this privilege? SWF has it. So what's the point of denying soloQ players the information they need to be more efficient.
The only thing I would give killers is which survivor has how many hook stages (like in the survivor HUD). This is especially beneficial for killers who want to play fair.
Probably because game had like 40-60% kill rates with solo q in mind, so technically game is in lot more unbalanced state now.
-
Thana should've been deleted and reworked to completely new perk, I can't believe anyone who thought it DO work on current state.
It's literally a waste of slot.
-
It's not like they have workforce to do two things at once, I guess.
-
Has bubba been nerfed?
That shows how they ultimately don't care about it, I doubt if they thinks even the face camping is a big issue.
-
It shouldn't be failed from fundamental, but in reality it's 99% net positive or 99% net negative and there is nearly zero in-between.
So yeah, it is.
-
Is it just Feeling or truth? we needs evidence, just like how we talk about game.

How do you know they're deranking? Most content creators I watch do not have any increase in their devotion levels, so they're not playing/deranking off-stream.
For 300 streak demo, the one who posted it literally stated he has deranked.
-
Well combining multiple things and selling it is not a scam, technically.
-
It's quite ridiculous to talk about reforms or false positives, It's not like those things doesn't matter for a single game.
There is no difference in those matters whether it's all games or single game, either way reforms can happen and false positives do exists, but there is literally no anti-cheat systems that consider those factor.
-
@SunsetSherbet said:
They'd just use alt accounts then.
So more effort on hacker's side, while requiring no additional effort to 99% of usual person.
Good deal I'd say.
-
If it means more bigger balance changes it is good, except the fact balance changes bring no money and this game is a job for them.

So right now:
Bad killer vs 4 Bad survivor = Bad killer win
Bad killer vs 1 good survivor + 3 bad survivor = Bad killer win
Bad killer vs 2 good survivor + 2 bad survivor = Bad killer win
Bad killer vs 3 good survivors + 1 bad survivor = Bad killer win
Good killer vs 4 good survivors = Survivors win
I think this is extremely killer sided
If bad killer matches against 1 good survivor, he will chase it forever and the game will ends with 4 escape lol

But a kill rate of 60% means there is a survival rate of 40% and that isn’t a game that is “eXtReMeLy SuRvIvOr SiDeD”.
But then there is a camping mechanics which is basically a glitch, which usually results 25% kill rates no matter what.
If you actually think about it instead of trying to fit data to your opinion, you'll see truth behind the number.

There is, unfortunately, a worst-case scenario with this perk.
It'll get used and played with for about a week after launch, just enough to get a feel for how bad it is before moving on.
But some killers will take it as 'i have to tunnel you off second hook every time, it's just the smart play' simply because the perk exists.
Because it IS smart play, exactly same as "waiting out" dead hard or slugging with expectation of DS lol
This really is a problem
-
Bad perks, bad power, I won't buy a chapter just because I like the visual of the killer.
-
They aren't out of ideas, they are obviously don't know how to properly balance the game but that's not something new.
-
I doubt there was a killer as bad as this one tbh, includes ptb.

I mean, all the time people were claiming to go against SWFs so often. And suddenly with the HUD-Changes, this is not true anymore and they go against Solo-Teams who are super strong now? Because if it would be true that people complaining about the game would have gone against SWFs all the time, the Hud-Changes would not change much for them anyway. All information which were already available to SWFs.
(Seriously, it is not a big deal. And many Killers will still do fine without Eruption. Some will be put down to lower MMR-Levels, but thats it)
There is many people here and different people claims different things, humans aren't hivemind.
is it some fallacy? I don't see constructiveness in labelling other people after all.

Using data from good players is strange? How about just data in general? BHVR released kill rates and they actually go up in higher MMR and vastly favor the killer.
Which is already extremely outdated, and 60% is not even massive when we actually think about how this game works so not "vastly favor the killer".
-
@th3syst3m said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3346929#Comment_3346929
If it was massively survivor sided you wouldn't have killers going on 100, 200, 300,400,500+ win streaks.
There is countless survivor streaks too, using outliers to back up your opinion is strange.

Exactly. So we agree. HUD is bs and needs to be removed asap.
I'm stating opposite, by having large gap between SWF and solos it will skew data and makes it miserable to match with SWF.

Well, Scourge Hook: Pain Resonance, Call of Brine, Nowhere to Hide, Eruption, and Jolt are all severely influencing the meta right now. It's a lot of gen regression that can be very hard to deal with - Scourge Hook: Pain Resonance is exceptionally difficult to deal with in SoloQ without communication.
I hate to say that SoloQ survivors are just "bad," because I've played SoloQ for a long time and if that were the case, then that would indicate some kind of recent influx of bad/inexperienced survivor players, which I suppose is possible but why would that be the case? DBD being on game pass?
I'm mostly sure those things are weaker than ruin pop meta.
Also there is a chance MMR actually ######### survivor match up lol, I feel in emblem era the enemies I match up against as killer was fairly consistent, now it's extremely swingy, from baby to sweat bully squad, to silent genrusher who just repairs gen and get off the gates asap.
-
Honestly passive slowdown like pinhead would be better for BOTH because it actually makes people to chase MORE, thanks to prolonged game time.
-
@FMG15 said:

Come on. The killrates were over 60%. As if the Eruption nerf will drop it down to under 50. I literally play every game without that OP perk and still do very well. And tunneling is effective enough to make you win most games depending on how good you are as killer. As if Eruption is the only thing that kept killrates high.
The change is not just eruption though, plenty has been changed since last data we got.
If it was just eruption I doubt it can reduce numbers that much yes, but it's not just eruption.
Also it's not that related, but when we talk about kill rates I like the fact bubba which can basically secure two kills no matter what has not been nerfed for some reason lol

Honestly like her style itself and that's why I hate her "balance".
