I see your point but they do hop in lockers against the doc so it is a common occurrence and even it procs once that exposed can help snowball the game
The exposed rarely seems to be relevant in my experience, except for Head On users. It's just bonus, and not the main reason to run the perk.
Iron Maiden definitely has better use on Doctor than most killers, though ๐
-
Doctor's strength is already detecting survivors - lockers are the most consistent counter, but if survivors hop into lockers every time you're within range, they aren't exactly getting anything done.
I at most use Whispers (or BBQ for points!) on new Doctor to know when people are within Static Blast range, but other than that, my build usually focuses on things that Doctor doesn't have built in to his kit (i.e. game slows, like Sloppy Butcher or PGTW). I think the perk slots are better used for filling out his weaknesses.

I can't play Nurse without Shadowborn - I tried learning her way back before I unlocked it, and I was just doing terribly. Once I popped that on, I became a whole new killer ๐

I don't even have snow in my area but I still would love to have the day off. :(
I don't get snow either! Years ago, there was a slight chance of snow one day and everything just shut down. No school, nobody on the road. It didn't even snow!
Enjoy your day off ๐ค

I can't hide my love for David ๐

I feel like marrying Legion would at least feel normal, since they're essentially normal people with a knife. Frank is my preference - I like his varsity jacket.

I view Self-Care as a utility perk that you use in certain situations when other ways to heal are not an option, rather than a must-have. I used to run off and heal every time I was injured with Self-Care, but as I played and got used to not running it, I realized that it wasted more time that it saved.
I've used it a couple times recently, for various challenges and achievements, and found that it was useful when I could afford to sit there for 32-40 seconds to heal. It was nice to have the option. However, I do often see survivors getting hit frequently and running off into a corner to heal every single time - that's when I don't like Self Care.
To me, it's just a matter of knowing when to spend the time to use it, as well as knowing when it's necessary to heal yourself.

I don't use it nearly enough, but Wake Up!

Only offensive actions make you lose PWYF stacks - so anything that could damage a survivor if it connected, even if it doesn't hit.

Matchmaking is addressed in this recent post, including their desire to include killer-specific ratings to help with scenarios just like this:

Keep practicing! Nurse is fun once you learn her ๐ค

Hag and Ghostface. Myers is only bad on indoor maps, but Ghostface crouching around and Hag traps jumping out of nowhere get me every time. I started running Spine Chill for the sake of my heart ๐

I get bored playing with the same perks every game. I typically switch up my builds normally, but perk wheels are my go-to when I want to think on the fly and use whatever it gives me.
The games I use No Mither and Wake Up! together, because the wheel willed it, make me want to live to the end so I can use all my perks. It makes the game feel a lot different ๐

Points are all that matter ๐

That flood wasn't that big I just a bit scared because my city is almost a desert in my opinion, almost don't rain here
I hope everyone stayed safe! Puddles are no joke.
-
I often feel like the temperature in my room drops whenever I load up the game, even after playing it for so long. The first minute or so into each game when I don't know who the killer is can also be really tense - especially when I hate jump scares, so stealth killers have me anxiously turning my camera back and forth.
-
This next tome will still cost 1000 cells. As long as the price and intended rewards doesn't change from the first tome, you will be able to keep using those same 1000 cells to buy the Rift every mid-chapter ๐
-
I have a really big fear of flooding. Water is scary and deceptive, even just a couple inches deep it can cause serious damage.
On that note, I would absolutely take a good slurp of the muddy water.
-
I think Jane and David are some of the more popular non-original survivors - there's a lot of people very dedicated to the characters, and they're characters that have a lot to explore. They're probably my two favorite survivors, so I'm excited to see what further lore we get for them!
Doctor makes sense because of the rework, as others have said, and I know Spirit is one of the more popular killers as well. I expect we'll be getting multiple characters for the next few Tomes until we can catch up on all the characters!
As for if I'll be buying the Rift - I don't mind battle pass models, and the feeling of getting rewards for playing is one of the reasons I enjoyed DBD to begin with. I love grinding games, and getting cosmetic rewards as well as completing all the challenges keeps me going. The last tome release, I played til about 5am before I realized how late it was!
-
While I enjoyed the movie at the time, Cars 2 shouldn't have been made. Cars 3 should've been Cars 2.
-
I'll always be on David's side!
-
I'd like to see Freddy, Quentin, and Leatherface get some skins. Just so they're not left out ๐

It can be time count down not slowed down when its activating.
That could definitely work! ๐

Extending the timer on Blood Warden is dangerous territory, since Endgame Collapse lasts 4 minutes maximum (with someone hooked or downed). It already covers 1/4 of that time minimum, and it definitely feels like a short time if you catch 2 or more survivors with it. Then again, it's a perk that can swing a game into a full 4K if used properly, and has good synergies with perks like NOED.
It's one of those perks that often doesn't see use, but it's scary when you see that block as survivor.
@Cetren said:
Blood warden should just queue up if the killer hooks someone before the gates are open but while they're powered and then activate after they've been opened.
That would also be a really cool improvement, but it would remove counterplay of not opening the gates so you can make saves. I'm curious if there's some sort of middle ground that could be found for it.
-
Any game can get frustrating, and playing something every day burns me out really quickly. I recently took about a month off as I went home for the holidays to spend time with family and friends who don't play DBD (as well as to work on my massive backlog of unplayed Steam games). It was a nice break and I'm excited to play again with fresh eyes ๐

It's as close as we'll likely get to shirtless myers, so "Pantsless Myers" it is.

In general, Make Your Choice 3 will be better, as it leaves less to chance. You get more time to find the Exposed survivor and hit them before it runs out. MYC 1, while it can trigger more often, gives less of a window to get that hit.
Fibijean nailed it by mentioning killers that can get the hit quickly - they are ones that can make better use out of MYC 1, but in those occasions where you're not just sitting on the edge of the 32-meter radius waiting to go back to the hook, you're more likely to get lucky hits with MYC 3.
There's also the times when you're unsure of who is Exposed from MYC - if two survivors were healing the unhooked survivor, you have to guess. It may give you more time to switch targets.
TL;DR - MYC 3 is better in most scenarios, although MYC 1 has some niche uses and benefits.

Currently, the exclusive cosmetic that comes with the Leatherface DLC purchase is the "Black and Blue" Dwight Head. It looks like he's bruised:
(Just did a quick Google search for this image, may look slightly different in-game if it's old!)

It resets every 13th of the month, typically in about 2-3 hours from now (3-4am ET), last I remember checking.

If he is using the addons Tombstone Piece or Judith's Tombstone, he can. It takes longer to get to tier 3, and he has to tap M1 right next to you for it to work. If you suspect he has it, you can get into a locker to prevent it from happening, as he will have to grab you out of it and can't mori you while on the ground.
-
From a game design perspective, incentivizing players to not use the things they've worked to get just feels bad. Perks help the game not become stale, as you can switch them up and try different builds. If you got more points for not running them, then what are you ultimately gaining points for?
-
It sounds like it worked properly. Unfortunately we can't decide how others play - although people do tend to get upset if you pull them off in front of the killer. Them not running away isn't your fault, though.
-
There's another game with a battle pass function that ties progress to dailies - it ends up with a feeling that you absolutely have to play every 3 days and clear out the dailies, or you're missing out. It quickly became a chore, and the FOMO burnt me out on the game. If they were to add more fragments in anywhere, it should be in the challenges, or just passive leveling, in my opinion - not dailies.
Not to mention some days I just don't want to play the characters that I have dailies for. I'd be hurting myself by not playing something I wasn't feeling up to. ๐ฅ

I watched "Before I Wake" with a few friends the other night. I liked the concept and it played out nicely. I don't really watch horror movies that often though ๐

I am pretty sure that is fast traveling
I've had dreams where I used Google Maps to fast travel. Maybe the world is trying to tell me something.

Not really weird, but if I'm just riding along in a car (obviously not driving) for a long time, I get sleepy and can barely stay awake. It's not the best sleep, but it makes the rides quick. I wish I could do the same on planes ๐ด

@SlimyTaco Flashlight timings don't change at all anymore! No addons adjust how fast it blinds, so that timing is for all flashlights with any addons.

One of my friends made this gif that shows the timing needed for flashlight saves (keep in mind that latency can cause it to be slightly off):
