People really do be walking on the trail and then complaining about it, huh.
It's unavoidable most of the time, because you're in chase and can't afford to crouch through. You think we're just gonna step in it when out of chase? And of course sometimes there's the little bit on the ground that you can't see, and you step it in: fully tormented off of a borderline visual bug!
-
I agree. One perk on one person can carry the whole team out of a losing situation.
-
I slug for the 4k or force the hook grab whether you're solo or SWF. I have to assume it's a SWF. If it's a 3v1 I try so hard to end it because I want to end the pain of the other survivors as soon as possible.

decent killers who can manage good survivors shouldnt get weaker. you need to understand that you wont have easy games all the time while playing SWF
I didn't say or want that. But how do solos ever beat him? He has attacks through walls, built-in tunnel tech, and option selecting at all pallets and windows.
Why does everyone keep centralizing their counterargument on my mere mention of SWF? I've learned my lesson; I just won't mention it next time.
-
I prefer to play killer. But I'm locked out of playing Doctor because he drops the game's fps no matter what role you are. And when my SWF friends are on, I answer the call to arms.

Something about his collision is off for sure. He gets caught on random crap mid lunge like no other.
His headbob is also awful and makes me feel sick.
He's always been hitting invisible stuff with his lunges. So sick of it.

@Naiad said:
If you see him leaving a trail at a loop just leave the loop, the trail disappears eventually. If he leaves a trail at a hooked survivor you can crouch over it just like Hags traps. You just need to learn to adapt. What would you do against other anti-looping killers?
Well against Doctor for example, I'd try to run around the loop as many times as I can without getting shocked and therefore pallet/window disabled. The difference is his power doesn't damage you.

Guy, killer is easy as hell. You only need 5 years old, a finger, an eye and good headphones to 4k 99% of games
So wrong.

So... I wrote a full paragraph about this and sent it and it doesn’t show to me so I’m just going to say the same thing but try to keep it short.
if he is already to close to u and ure reaching a pallet and he starts to use his ranged attack, run back at him, he will have a difficult time hitting u with the power so he either tries and fails, or cancels it, then u should have enough time to go back to the pallet and drop it (this only works if he is really close to u and ure reacting as to be on point)
if u still have some distance, either pre drop it, or loop him until u get close enough to do what said above. By the time u drop a pallet most will try to spam his power, try to keep in mind that his turning isn’t fast so try running to one side and then the other, he will have a harder time turning and then his power becomes more predictable.
with windows, I’m not entirely sure of what u can do, since u don’t have enough time to fake a vault and then vault it, but atleast u have now counterplay with the pallet situation.
I honestly prefer this version of ph then the bs no cooldown faked power, where u would die at windows and pallets in whatever situation (like ds)
Sorry that happened. I had a post last night that also simply disappeared because it didn't post correctly. But what do you mean run back at him? Because then he hits you. That's the entire problem with his power, is that he can cancel it quickly into M1.

Short version of this post “ Me and my SWF usually have an easy time against killers but Pyramid Head actually gives us a challenge please nerf him”. Just saved everyone some time.
If you didn't notice, I had that as a secondary thought, simply to speak on the raw power of this killer. It's why I didn't call my post that. I like playing killer too, more than SWF even. Maybe I should tell my life story on all my posts so that people will stop assuming what kind of person I am.

At this point, I don't even care if DS or something like it becomes basekit. I'm tired of being forced to use a specific perk on every single survivor. 2 for me: DS and Spine Chill. And you could argue Dead Hard, Borrowed, and Unbreakable too, but that's 5 in total.
-
Only Nurse and Pyramid Head have no counters.
-
Simple answer to getting good at the game, and out of those awful low ranks ASAP: YouTubers. If you watch them at high level as either role, you will pick up things. And also good perks. Decisive Strike and Spine Chill are the ones I personally run on every survivor, and I recommend everyone else run them.

Demorgorgon can't lunge through windows or over pallets and buildings, [BAD WORD] Hatchet is more accurate.
Except that it's literally a pounce, not a projectile.

That creature from the Quiet place was pretty cool....
I like the idea of a killer that works off sound, could trigger sound notifications in the game somehow with its ability or something....
First thing that came to my mind.

Beta, no question.

The Ice Cream Man from the Image Comics series.
I haven't seen it yet, but "Freaky," looks pretty cool. I could go for that killer being in one.
Maybe the Lady in the Lake from Haunting of Bly Manor.
Peter Stormare's character in American Gods, Chernobog. (Probably butchered the spelling.)
Peter Stormare!

Spine Chill. You know exactly when a killer is coming to you, especially if they're a stealth killer or using Tinkerer. It also gives you an action speed bonus and increased skill check chance when the killer is looking at you.

What does victor even do anyway? From what i can tell hes like a really crappy hatchet
A mini Demogorgon lunge.
-
They should set it back to 2 protection hits. 2 at the time of release was overpowered simply because instaheals existed. Now they're gone, so why not change it back?
-
Can you tell us where...?
-
They said they'd give it back eventually, but that's an eternity away.
-
No.
-
No No Mither?
-
I've had some rough ones today as well. 1 hook, 4 gens gone. I just wait for the last gen to pop, open a gate, and stand in a corner until the survivors leave. In those scenarios I've learned to simply give up, and it's saved me a lot of sweat and rage.

Remember when in 2016 Spine Chill and Premonition were meta?
Premonition meta? Never.
-
She has plenty of counterplay.
-
I don't recommend playing music over this game. Sound is essential. But I do agree that Spine Chill is a good perk, and everybody should probably run it.
-
Getting rid of joke killer add-ons and replacing them with useful ones. Making DS trigger automatically instead of being a skill check. Making Dead Hard not let you pass through the killer's body.
-
Honestly I'm down for it. At first I was against it because it's just popular because it was a huge trend at one time, but Springtrap is cool enough a killer for me, especially if it comes with a FNAF 3 map.

Blight/any (because all survivors are just skins). Doing good with and winning with Blight is the most fun I've had in a long time.
-
DCing against a killer just means you're too lazy to at least let the match play out and/or learn that killer's counters. For those reasons, as well as the DC penalty, I don't advise doing that.
-
@ALostPuppy said:
You want BHVR to punish players who BM? Lmao what? That sounds like something you could get Riot or Blizzard to do, so I recommend playing overwatch or league they usually cater to the hyper-sensitive. Racism, homophobic remarks etc (the things that are actually toxic) already get reported and dealt with if there's evidence. You can't punish players for pressing a button in your face, learn to deal with it and move on, you probably have bigger things to worry about than strangers clicking a flashlight at you in a videogame.
Oh but they already did punish players who BM. No more mori spam, remember? Because instead of making the bleed out timer continue through the mori animation, they couldn't be bothered and just removed it altogether. So killer BM gets nerfed, but survivor BM? Untouched.

one way would be if official/semi-offical tournaments would start reducing points for scummy behaviour.
like:
'sure, basement bubba is a possible build, but it's still camping with added a-holishness, you get only a 5th of the points you'd have gotten'
or
'well, you tbagged and flashlighted a deathslinger at the gate while injured. he gets double points for that hook'
Unnecessary. People who are in tournament are too busy honing their skill and playing well to be toxic. I say that despite DBD tournaments being a laughable concept to me.
-
Is there a mute button for tbags or flashlight clicks? No. Can I ignore it? No, because it's right in my face. So you tell me what to do, since you're an expert on taking things sitting down.
-
@[Deleted User] said:
THey ban cases that they have set rules for. Teabagging isn't a punishable rule, but is toxic, therefore you can be toxic and not be punished.
That's just one example, but the point is obviously they can't ban for that how on earth would you even enforce it? How would you know it was even meant to be toxic? How do you know they were not just trying to get your attention because they needed you to chase them and not someone else? There are far too many things to ever really address that.
Forget punishment, because that's not what I'm asking for at all. I'm asking for a "Please don't do that" from the devs. Surely that's not too much to ask for on behalf of all the bullied killers (and survivors) in this game?

I mean i just got facecamped by a leatherface, and two of my allies showed up (leatherface totally ignored them) and unhooked me. he downed me, let me heal up, they hooked me again. and again. ignoring the other two the whole time
im genuinely confused, because i was the first one chased and i didnt do anything wrong or toxic, i went down early. he just didn't like jake park i guess? it was so weird.
its pretty messed up they let that happen in their game, it's so abusable
I understand. I've yet to hear a good reason as to why Leatherface doesn't end his chainsaw sweep when he downs someone, allowing him to instadown multiple people, yet Hillbilly's stops after downing someone.

@lagosta said:
Yep, just had an Adam sandbag me twice and refuse to take aggro when the killer came back bc you know, that's what they do if you unhook in less then 10 seconds. I wish I could hold the Shift key to block early unhookings. You will find the same frustration esporadicaly playing SQ, toxicity plagues both sides.
Which is why I get mad when randoms go above and beyond (body blocking and things like that) to protect their blatantly toxic teammate. They may play innocent but they just directly contributed to the game's toxicity, because the toxic guy knows he can get away with his behavior when his teammates carry him like that. I get on to my friends when they tbag, because I know how it feels.

You already said it.
Toxic.
Other than that survivors and killers could attempt to justify it with, "you tunnelled so I bagged you at exit" or, "you bagged me at a pallet so I slug you"
Toxic behavior doesn't justify toxic behavior.
I think it does. The one who initially was toxic deserves toxicity back. But it has to be obvious that someone was acting 'toxic'. Camping when the gates are powered is not toxic. Tbagging is toxic no matter what.
-
Autodidact. The problem is that the perk as well as the match is out of your control. The game can choose to not give you skill checks, and it can happen that you hardly get to heal anybody.
-
There's still too much DCing. I say they haven't gone far enough.
-
But why?
-
@Axe said:

devs actually said DS is not a anti-tunnel perk thats something the community made up because of how it works
Then they could go ahead and decrease the timer to 45 seconds since that's what Pop got.

I feel like that would be worse. There's very few survivors willing to run perks that don't directly benefit themselves.
Selfish survivors are the low ranks who we might as well keep out of this discussion. Good players will not run Self-care or Urban Evasion around the map. They run perks that will help the team, even if that's in the form of Unbreakable or DS. Just having good personal perks like those helps the team out a lot. My version of the perk would be ran.
-
How Camaraderie should work is the reverse of what we have now. If I have the perk equipped, my hooked teammate's timer should be the one paused. That's a surer way that it won't get wasted because right now only SWF can make use of this perk effectively.
