  • I think the last official thing we heard about MMR in temp modes it that it is present, but it doesn't go up or down from the event. It always does feels even more lax than normal though. I think that info is also years old at this point too.

Also, player handles need to be censored fyi

  • Still waiting for some compensation from Sunday where I spent half my session getting sent back to the lobby or restarting the game...

  • I don't want any deleted, but changes are needed on some.

Badham definitely could use a huge overhaul. At the very least, gens on only two levels instead of three would be nice. Multiple loopable building is just ridiculous too. It was fine when Haddonfield balanced it out but that's done now.

I'd also like there to be more ways into the bottom of Forgotten Ruins. As it is, killer's can camp the portal entrance and still check the stairs, and those are the only ways in.

Fallen Refuge map is beyond embarrassing. Like that thing is a disgrace. They need to pretty much redo it from the ground up. Everytime I load in im like

News flash. You still get stacks of Fast Track even when you are on hook. So just because others are giving me stacks does not mean that I am just sitting on generators. Also, even if I don't finish a generator all by myself, that's 18% or more progress that the killer CANNOT REGRESS. This makes it quicker for other survivors to finish those generators, even If I do not. I can't comment on YOUR games, I can only comment on my own, and in my experience, with the new Fast Track I am getting way more escapes than I used to and seeing more of my solo queue teammates getting out too… and this is coming from a Killer main. You'd think I wouldn't be as good as a survivor (I mean, I am not usually. I always make the joke that if someone is getting tunneled in a match, it's me. Though I am getting somewhat better in chase, I still am terrible.)

I'm aware, but you don't benefit from your own hooking, only from teammates. So if you do get tunneled a lot, you're bringing a useless perk, instead of one that might have helped you not get tunneled.

If you're benefiting, good on you. I've yet to see any value from this perk, even in the few matches I tried it myself. I always had tokens left when the match ended, one way or another. The only way I see that happening is with a coordinated 4man all running it, and I sadly haven't landed one. In most of my screenshots, the people with FT are the lowest on the board.

I'm actively waiting for a match where I think this perk did something useful. I'd really like to see it.

I was in a bad team. Not them. Which is why most of my match was spent getting people off hooks instead of being able to do generators. It’s a bit of a coincidence that the Nurse felt bad for the TTV and their friend who just both happened to be on mic together. It’s not like the Nurse player went into their stream to see they were live and playing together. You’re right that definitely didn’t happen. They just happened to feel sorry for the TTV and Meg for a reason unbeknownst to me. Thanks for clearing this up. 🤭

I can see why this forum only has about 5 active posters because it really is a hive mind mentality here. I’m logging out and staying logged out. DBD really has one of the worst gaming communities.

It's perfectly possible the players did something funny or cute that turned the match around for them. Killers can be charmed. The killer might have also perceived you as a rat or something. You don't know what was in their head, or what happened when you weren't looking. I often give people hatch if I think they got sandbagged or I feel bad for them in some way. Killer gets that choice. The report option says "working with the killer". If the killer simply decided on their own to let them go, you don't really have a case.

Almost every killer or survivor player checks to see if the TTV in their lobby is live

I've done this two whole times, after I died, just to see what the tunneling Blight looked like.

I don't take screenshots of every single one of my matches like you do (not to mention the new bug where the scoreboard totally glitches out and you can't see the final match results at all sometimes) but if I did, I could show you just as many cases of 3-4 escapes where I was the only one running Fast Track. is it just Fast Track alone? No, but it's the combination of other perks that it has made much, much worse. Now, they could nerf everything else, but none of those were a huge problem until Fast Track came along.

But okay, you are right lets say. So then I won't feel guilty at all with my build that lets me personally finish 2-3 generators in less than the time other survivors finish the rest. Unless the killer tunnels someone, every game I've been in today has been at least 3 of us out. Last one vs. an Iridescent Hatchets Huntress on Dead Dawg was a 4-escape and that's one where I did 3 generators (the 3 non-Blood generators, other survivors were doing the Blood generators, I ignored them) by myself because of how she spread out the hooks like a good little killer.

I don't take screenshots of all my matches. I've specifically taken ones of the FT ones in the last couple days because of how absurd this has all been. The difference is that I'm showing you can very easily win with this perk in play becquse it's not OP. Showing you lost with it in play doesn't mean you lost to that one out of 16 perks.

Until recently, I was running BtL, Deja Vu, and a stacked Commodius. I tore through gens. Did two or three by myself in many matches. Still died. Notice how I'm the only escape in those survivor matches. I'm still sitting on gens, but now I'm untrackable too. And I'm getting more team outs in solo than ever because I waste the killlers time after they injure me and can't find me.

Also notice in my killer matches that not only is FT present but so is Stake Out and Hyperfocus. I'm running no slowdowns. I've yet to lose a single match with someone running this perk. It's being used by people who are desperately trying to squeeze a victory out of their matches with the thing everyone's talking about. The matches I'm losing are agaisnt good people with DH, DS, Vigil, MfT, WGLF, etc, as it always is. The meta remains intact.

How much set up time goes into your fast gens? And how many hooks do your teammates need to get for you to get real value? Yet somehow they still live with all those hooks going to everyone but you? FT gets its value from everyone else on the team doing badly while you sit on a gen. I too was doing gens faster than everyone else with my build, but it didn't depend on teammates doing poorly, nor did it need set up time with Stake Out. Resi, deja vu, BtL, and a meta Commodius are still better options.

Very constructive opinion indeed, I see that midset often but on both sides.

One side seems to do it much more, and much louder. How many posts about Fast Track do we have right now? How many have their been about the 15s BT increase? Gen progress going too fast? Trickester's Delusion being survivor sided despite the worst pallets I've ever seen? How absurd was the fog vial drama? And the anti-tunnel ptb meltdown? My-killer-is-too-weak posts? Trickster is bad posts? Tbagging? For the supposed power role there sure is a lot of crying.

And how many were there for the Ruin and Pop buffs? Turn Back the Clock? Henry as whole? Gens too slow because of slowdown stacking? Visible hook states for killers? Little to nothing on these. Any little change that occurs, it's killers who blow it out of poroption. Fast Track is just example #27362 of something minor that is being treated like it's world ending.

It's not the same once a gen is done it can't be undone. Like you can buy time but when gens are done they're done. Also judging by the amount of WoO i see in comparison to lethal pursuer for example you can make your judgment there. Also most realms are stuffed full of pallets rn lmao. If you main sadako or pig like i do the game doesn't feel great to play atm. Not to mention the amount of flashlight and sabo squads that I'm encountering in bloodmoon so far lol. Like honestly if "power role." Why all these frustrating and annoying things that interrupt your goals aside from being able to make health states not matter and make gens fly by.

Hell of a double standard. Rules for thee but not for me. You can regress a gen back to zero just by kicking it and keeping people too busy to touch it, completely negating any work done with perks or toolboxes.

Neither Lethal nor WoO are the training wheel perks you imply they are. I don't use WoO but it's not just about knowing layouts, it let's you know what resources your team has already used. With Lethal, spawns aren't consistent, and it synergizes with other perks. They're both top used for a reason. Perhaps you see more WoO than Lethal because 1) there's only one killer per four survivors in a lobby and 2) you're playing killer lol

Pallet density increase was nerfed, and many pallets are in garbage locations. Just look at damn near every pallet on Trickster's delusion. Blaming pallets is, again, blaming the game.

There are 40 other killers you can choose if you don't like the ones you're using.

If people are doing sabos and flashlight saves, they aren't doing gens, so the gens can't be flying. Don't heal fast. Don't do gens fast. Don't save. Don't prolong chases with pallets. Is Endurance a problem too? Exhaustion? What is it that you want them to do exactly?

  • @Lorelei_Albrecht_TTV said:

Never said that lmao. In what realm is 40 second gens and 4 second heals healthy?

I wasn't talking to you, but pretty much all you've done is cry about how hard killers have it, or how much survivors complain about this or that it, so it kind tracks. Ironic you have a post about people not being as good as they think they are (of course, almost solely aimed at survivors) yet can't take your own advice.

But in what realm is 4 slowdown healthy? I'd change that if I could too.

The problem we have with this perk is that if killers are going to tunnel and slug, they are going to tunnel and slug… but for those few of us that do not… those of us that want a fair and balanced game and to spread out the hooks, we are getting punished. Am I going to start tunneling and slugging more? No, not any more than I already do (which is usually not, unless you have Boil Over. Call it old RPD Library PTSD) but I have already noticed a few lobbies where because I didn't tunnel, gens were flying and at least one survivor had Fast Track.

One person can only touch so many gens, and can only benefit if they're the one not being hooked. One perk isn't making gens fly. This is how it's going for me when one or two people bring this perk:

    19d241d777c70-screenshotUrl.jpg 19d241db3bf89-screenshotUrl.jpg 19d241dd71718-screenshotUrl.jpg 19d241e159192-screenshotUrl.jpg 19d29395a8380-screenshotUrl.jpg 19d2ac2a01647-screenshotUrl.jpg 19d2ac269db54-screenshotUrl.jpg 19d2939b89214-screenshotUrl.jpg 19d2939294478-screenshotUrl.jpg 19d241e64d382-screenshotUrl.jpg 19d241e3a6d44-screenshotUrl.jpg

This is every match I've seen this perk in for the last cpuole days with the exception of a server DC that I had as killer. I was going to win that one too though. So all survivor losses accept the last one. Killer got two hooks before a bunch of end game trades boosted his score. But he lost because he was bad, not because of perks. Fast Track's success rate in my matches has been so insanely bad I'd honestly dodge if I could see people running it in my survivor lobbies.

  • @Aven_Fallen

It's only a skill issue when survivor lose. When killers lose, it's the games fault.

  • @crogers271 said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4066912#Comment_4066912

    It's actually pretty simple.

Killers say they'll tunnel over everything. Perk improves chases? Sorry, I don't have time for multiple chases, I need to tunnel. Gens faster? Sorry, don't have time, need to tunnel. Faster heals? Sorry, can't give the survivors time to heal.

Anti-tunneling is getting boosted? Can't have that, killer outcry.

Basically, the argument lost all value a long time ago. Absolutely any improvement to survivors is an excuse to tunnel, and when killers get boosted we don't see decreases in tunneling. Some killers will always tunnel because winning is all they care about, some killers play in a more balanced manner because they are more interested in a fun match.

That part is the same for survivors. So among the 'elite' levels survivors will rush gens, killers will try to tunnel as quickly as possible, and I'm sure everyone will have fun.

This exactly. It really doesn't matter what it is, people will complain about it and use it as an excuse for anything, while never allowing any changes that help survivors. Killers regularly bring 4 antigen at all levels of ability, but God forbid survivors bring this not very good perk that continues to show up in only the matches I have where survivors lose. I never used to see so many gen builds in my matches but it's getting super frequent, and it's because killers won't give an inch.

  • I dunno what's going on in other people's matches but every match this perk has been in play since the rework it has been a loss for survivors for me, regardless of which role I'm playing. There's been only one exception, and that killer got two hooks, so it wasn't Fast Track that did it. For the most part, no one has been running it.

I don't really care what they do to do this perk cause I think it's too situational and I like guaranteed value, but if they nerf it, it will be caving to hysteria, because I can't imagine their data is showing it to be overperforming considering what I've been seeing in my normal, average, non-CC matches.

If 80% of the playerbase is bad, and bad vs bad usually equals killler win, then survivors have little recourse in most matches.

Do you not see how using the one match you lost as an example of sturggling is a problem? Will a comp team beat me? Absolutely, as they should.

    I like these parts.

For all of us who aren't one of the top comp squads in the world, from someone's point of view you are in the 'bad at the game' category.

The problem I consistently find is that survivors have to be much better as a whole than the killer.

In addition to your reasons, killers are also really benefited by the snowball potential. Even in comp matches, it happens where survivors will make a mistake on their positioning in a winning match and then two quick downs and suddenly everything has changed.

Killer mistakes can be more clearly measured in time.

This is the big problem I see with this conversation. Many killers don't spare a thought for how unfair all these wins they get against both weaker and stronger people are—they just win and move on—but then get upset when exceptional players beat them.

Both the comeback ability and snowball potential are part of the problem too, yeah, and it only exists on one side. I can loose three gens with no hooks as killer and still win if my momentum gets going. Such momentum is basically unstoppable. Meanwhile, that momentum the survivor side had with those three gens can disappear in a poof.

For all of us who aren't one of the top comp squads in the world, from someone's point of view you are in the 'bad at the game' category.

I've met my fair share of insanely good people that are at the top of stats and performance and think the game should be balanced around their 10k+ hour experience. They're totally blind to the reality of the game for 95% of the players. Everyone's limited view is a big part of the problem when it comes to discussing this game. It doesn't help that the popular CCs everyone watches are likely in that top 5% and don't reflect anything normal or average.

I tested this with a friend last night in customs and yes, they stack.

My scratch marks only lasted about 4 seconds while exhausted.

I'm going to be running ghost notes, lightweight, vigil, and sprint burst tonight if I get a chance to play. Might be my new go-to over Lucky break honestly.

I've been dying to try a build like this in a 4man just to be the most unbearable players ever lol

  • I've only seen this perk give proper value when 4 smart players are coordinating. Otherwise, it's detrimental, especially with hook states being visible to killers now and its usage being so loudly broadcasted. I had someone use it last session, stupidly shifting someone else's death hook to their own death hook when I was still fairly close by. The were dead shortly after. When it's used in soloq or by bad players, it's more throwing than strong.

  • @Rickprado said:

But there are more bad survivors and killers playing than there are good survivors and players. People can maintain very high killrates with weaker killers if they are experienced and they adversaries don't but the moment they get someone half good the scenario change. Most of my game with the Knight was during the old MFT era and i still had some high killrate, which doesn't mean Knight was strong or MFT was fair, it was just that people were so bad that even with a advantage they would still fall. As Sadako, Pig and Legion have very high killrates and they are considered by the majority of the community very weak killers.

Recently i was playing Dredge just for fun and having a plenty of good matches, most of them ending in 4k (many of those matches because people don't understand Dredge's power and how nightfall works). Then i went against a comp team of my region i couldn't make 3 hooks the whole match. If i was playing Dracula i probably could keep up with them, as i did in other times.

I REALLY would like to watch some of your matches, since you say you have a very easy time playing killer in the most survivor friendly way.

I understand saying survivor has issues - although we can disagree what are those issues - but saying killer has no issues currently is absurd, specially when we consider the big difference in power between the lower and the higher tier of killers in this game.

About the topic, Fast Track should get stacks differently. It punishes the killer for progressing the game and can generate a immense value for almost nothing, specially if the whole team is stacked.

I didn't say killer has zero issues. I said it's fine, in that it's the power role with all the tools and comeback potential. I have no personal issues with either how my matches personally play out, or with the role as a global whole. That doesn't mean I don't think there aren't specific issues. There are bugs, obviously. Dredge is a good example of a few things. I made numerous bug reports about Dredge before they moved the bug report system. Some of them were really bad, like chases not registering during Nightfall until landing a hit, bots having no white glow, and permanent teleport whooshing sound bugs.Thing is, I still won all those matches. These things are just annoying. I'd also love to see Dredge's locker RNG fixed. Sadako and Springtrap get their teleports placed fairly close to important areas. Dredge is just pure RNG. The locks on the lockers are also probably in need of a nerf. BUT I have an 80% KR on Dredge, so I can't personally feel I need anything. Right now I'm playing Henry exclusively. He has a view bugs, mostly visual, but one where the M2 simply wont release and your stuck holding vines until it cancels. It doesn't ruin matches though, so I'm just not very concerned. Even with bugs, killers can still win more than they lose. That says a lot about the role.

As for the so-called low tiers, I go against p100 Trappers and Pigs and they win their matches because they've taken the time to become good at the characters. Part of the problem is that people win too much too fast with a killer they haven't mastered, then they get stomped by decent teams and blame the game. The matchmaking and the sudden shifts to better opponents are more the issues than anything.

But there are more bad survivors and killers playing than there are good survivors and players

This is part of the issue though. If 80% of the playerbase is bad, and bad vs bad usually equals killler win, then survivors have little recourse in most matches. What I want is that recourse. I'm probably not as rainbows and sunshine as people might think. Aggressive plays get aggressive reactions. If opponents creep around me for saves, everyone will end up on the ground. I'm just not hard tunneling at 5gens or slugging people for lengthy periods just because. If I leave someone on the ground for 45s-1m I think they should be able to get back up. Camping hooks shouldn't exist, nor should popping your power the moment someone is unhooked and chewing right through their Endurance. Games should be engaging for more than just the killer.

Do you not see how using the one match you lost as an example of sturggling is a problem? Will a comp team beat me? Absolutely, as they should. They're taking things way more seriously than me. It's fine to lose to good opponenets. The problem I consistently find is that survivors have to be much better as a whole than the killer. I can't tell you how many horribly low skill Ghouls I've lost to, yet I've never lost a killer match to a team of potatoes. Even if just one person on your survivor team is bad, if the killer identifies that, you're often screwed. Survivor is at the mercy of matchmaking, the killer's personality, their teammates, and being weaker. The agency is very low. With killer, it's mostly just matchmaking, and you can still beat people better than you as the power role.

I don't think I've said I have a very easy time as killer. I do fine, my KR is above the goal number, many matches are easy, yeah, but it's also the more stressful role. I do think it is technically easier, in that you can learn just one killer and some info about survivor meta perks and do well. Survivors is way, way more info heavy. Winning chases takes more skill. Tile knowledge and pathing are pretty much required info. You have to learn killer perks and powers, and how to identify and counter them.

As for FT, I'm paying pretty close attention in my matches. Out of 4 survivor matches last night, 2 matches had it. In one, everyone died but me. The other was a 4out but the killer only had 2 hooks by the time the gens were done, so they lost becuase they were bad, not because of FT. Out of 16 killer matches, 4 people had it. I 4ked in all 4. If I'm going by my own experience, as people should, this is a non-issue in an average gameplay scenario. I very quickly realized it was a wasted perk slot in my on soloq matches and I put Deja Vu back on instead. The FT perk design isn't great, but neither are a lot of others on both sides, and so far I've seen zero value from this perk in play.

What I am seeing is a huge uptick in Hyperfocus/Stakeout, often one or two per match. I'm still winning those matches too so again, unconcerned. But with so many killers playing coldly and being dicks while BHVR does nothing, I don't blame them at all for wanting to hurry things along.

Personally I love the idea that BHVR secretly adores everything you have to say about the game and is giving you the super secret easy MMR treatment.

It's super sweet of them. I'm actually negative MMR. The survivors spawn on hooks and unless someone has Deliverance they automatically die.

  • I've felt for awhile that 1k to 3k hours is when people either burn out or keep going. The novelty has worn off by then and the stress takes over, and your MMR has gone up on top, making it more of a struggle. The thing that helped for me (and still does) is changing roles. If one role is aggravating me or getting monotonous, I switch. Playing with other people is also one of the games better experiences. It really lightens things up, especially if you're all just playing for laughs.

I'm gonna be straight, if someone can win such matches without play a high tier then simply their survivors were not good or just one got a very favourable map/rng.

Not saying that you need slowdown for every match, hell the one that i played today on Dead Dawg Saloon survivors just gathered around me for no reason and i didn't even pressure them with ruin. Not a single gen popped. The thing is, that they were just not even decent. They struggled a lot and i got many free hits. Matchmaking is the biggest issue in DbD imo.

I can't have favorable maps and bad players every match, nor can I be low MMR if I consistently win, since it would logically go up. Gen regress is so common now that survivors don't even expect my aura, anti-sabo, and/or undetectable builds.

And sure, I get potatoes. I also get great teams. I feel like everybody gets a random mixture because proper matchmaking is indeed nonexistent.

Am i supposed to run no quarter or dark arrogance? Maybe nerfed franklin's demise or sloppy or Stbfl? AGAIN, just becouse smth is used a lot/ a little it does not have to reflect its strength.

Killer perk diversity is underwhelming compared to survivor and they don't have freedom to run silly perks, unless one wants a 5min game.

So we are just going to ignore pain res being nerfed like 3 times? Or corrupt going away when a survivor is downed? Etc etc. Turn back the clock is the newest one we had in years and it isn't a gotcha moment that you think it is. Every single one, except it and surge, got nerfed. You could argue that stacking them is problematic on high tiers making them harder to balance.

I am not against gen speed perks existing, putting aside how fast track screws over the killers that spread hooks, it is too good and i see no argument in favour of survivors actually needing such a strong one just becouse Blight and Nurse exist.

Gen regression perks were and still are a band aid fix to stop games from being over in 5min, like BT was a band-aid to protect your unhooked teammates. Game itself isn't balanced around the killer not running these perks.

Anti-gen isn't necessary at all. My killer matches run 10-15 minutes generally and I don't use any antigen. I only even stop to kick gens to trigger NtH. I still mange to win much more than I lose. It's honestly sad to see people going so hard for these boring, unfun builds all the time and thinking there's no other option.

And nerfed Franklin's works out pretty well for me:

I didn't even start using it until after the nerf.

I have no arguments for you because you have an overarching bias across all discussions.

Fairness is not important to me overall, i only bring it up in this discussion because i think this perk rewards the wrong kind of behaviour, thats what i think is unfair about it.

Again nobody brought it up because it wasn't relevant. It went unchanged since it's release. I imagine there was complaints about it's design then but balance wasn't taken as seriously back then.

My bias is that I think killer is fine and survivor needs help. That's why I'm playing the role that's fine, where I have agency and control, instead of the punching bag role.

If this perk's problem is that it's design is bad and it's unfair, those things haven't changed. It still gets tokens from killers hooking while the survivor running it sits on a gen. It was adjusted, but the part people think isn't fair was already present. There's just a lot more CCs easily whipping their followers into a frenzy nowadays, and it catches fire all over social media regardless of what's actually happening in regular matches.

Fairness is not important to me overall

    Indeed. My point exactly.

  • @OrangeBear said:

    I don't care about fairness

You should just have started with that. Very obvious you are disgruntled and bitter survivor main.

It's being talked about now and not before because it got changed…

    Screenshot_20260324_183245.jpg Screenshot_20260324_183310.jpg

Yeah, survivor main playing nearly double the killer matches as survivor matches. Currently only subjecting myself to survivor to get my season iri grade, then I'm done with it until the next one. I love when people default to the survivor-main thing because someone doesn't agree with them and they have no other arguments.

I look forward to you posting about all these unfair things that killers have and how unfair it is that they can decide how bad a time the other four players will have, since fairness is very important. You said it yourself, tunneling is a choice, and only one side has that choice. Very fair.

It's being talked about now and not before because it got changed…

It still made automatic progress on a gen solely through the killer hooking. It had the exact same conditions for tokens.

I'm seeing exactly 2 fast tracks per lobby but tbh i couldn't tell you if it's making any difference. maybe I suck, maybe it's my killer, maybe it's the map, maybe it's just rng, maybe it's Maybelline.

I saw it every match when the hype started. Still won most of my matches. It's been diminishing by the hour. People are trying the new overhyped toy then dropping it, just like I did. I expect it to go back to me seeing it here and there in a week's time. It was already a perk I did see a little bit of, and its conditions didn't change at all.

I'm just saying a perk is too strong and is bad design. I'm using my experience as an example/demonstration. Nothing more.

Not saying those perks you mentioned are particularly good design but they are far more conditional and have counterplay. Whereas fast track is very uninteractive in comparison.

Abd I'm saying it's weak, in my experience both using it and going against it.

What's the counter to Deadlock? Do one gen at a time? How about Cruel Limits, Bitter Murumur, or Tinkerer? Don't do gens at all? Lightborn? Very interacrive perk. Sucks about your flashlight build. Corrupt Intervention and Lethal Pursuer? Just don't load in, I guess. Many of these free-value perks are strong and meta, unlike Fast Track. I use two of them regularly myself. Both sides get stuff like this.

The conversation around fairness has been very funny. The anti-tunnel ptbs would have made this game a lot more fair. The outcry was so loud that the whole thing was completely nuked instead of adjusted. We voted against fairness. Even the pathetic extra 5s of BT is cried about regularly. This game isn't fair. At least 25% of my survivor losses feel unfair, whether it's matchmaking, killer's crutching on perks, or cheese strats making for hopeless matches. So I don't think I care about fairness anymore, when only one side gets to control it.

And where was the outcry over this perk's previous iteration that had the exact same reward system? Oh that's right, the CCs weren't screeching about it then.

  • I just went through my 30-game match history. I found 6 whole people running Fast Track in my 19 survivor matches, out of 57 people (excluding myself). These were all team loses except for one tie.

In my 11 killer matches, it appeared once. I won that match.

If you want to tunnel and mori, do it. But don't blame a mediocre perk that very few people are using and act like you're a victim of circumstance. Is NOED fair? Deadlock? Batteries Included? These are all perks that passively reward the killer for survivors doing their objective.

  • Nah. People quitting doesn't necessarily mean you won. I had a match the other day where everyone DCed one after another. No idea why, but it wasn't because I was winning. The match had barely started when the first one left, then 30s later their duomate followed, and it just went on until it was me vs 4 bots. I've had both survivor and killer matches where bots have escaped too. You should still need to play for a proper win, bots or not.

In the case of other players abandoning cause you slugged three or four people, I don't think it's so much to ask that you stay and clean up your mess. Abandoning is already an option there but I don't think abandons should give auto wins.

  • I don't really want to be on the same map a whole lot

  • I haven't bothered trying these myself but I've played against them and they're still useless. I never loose sight of someone and the sctrach marks are visible through almost the whole radius. The extra charges are the only good thing, but four charges of garbage is just more garbage. Make them more opaque inside and more covering of tracks/aura and I'll try them.

  • I haven't tried the new perks but I have tried reworked Fast Track and Self Preservation.

The Fast Track talk is overblown. Not only did I find it to not be OP in soloq but it was fairly useless. Every match I had tokens left at the end. Either the killer did awful and I didn't get any worth using, I died before I could use them, or—the more common scenario—the tokens generatated because my team was doing awful and no amount of gen progress boosting was going to help. It could have instafinished two gens and we would have still lost. I don't currently intend to use the perk again in solo.

In regards to talk of it being an undeserved reward, it's no different than perks like NOED or Deadlock that activate solely because survivors successfully did their objective.

Self Preservation is a nice counter to Friends and BBQ without needing to go in a locker. It's fine the way it is.

Did you read my first post?

"Important: Don´t understand me wrong, I don´t want Skillchecks nerfed but I thought if it would be more fair for all if the Skillchecks would always give 0.5% progress if they appear and a great Skillcheck should only give more BPs, so that the outcome won´t be tilted to the veteran Survivors."

This would bridge the Skillchecks for all Survivors. New, Veteran, PC or Consol.

Regular skill checks are just to make sure you're awake and paying attention. They don't really need a reward buff. And this gives no incentive for new players to get better at skill checks. I don't know who would risk messing up gen progress just for BP. I sure wouldn't.

    I quiet understand your point.

But a Survivor which plays longer gets most likely a Killer which played longer (in an optimal world with functioning MMR) So the Skill ceiling grows on both sides.

But a Killer never gets Bonus regression on Gens when he kicks it right?

And I say it again, I don´t want great Skillchecks to be useless just more filling the gap between pro and new Survivors.

I don't know if the great reward is enough to warrant changes, and the equivalent would be giving killers a skill check with a chance for a great when they kick a gen. But then what would missing it mean? No regression on kick? I also don't know why "bridging the gap" always seems to be about making survivor worse. It's already the role expected to lose more than it wins and this doesn't help the average players at all.

Greats are harder for console/controller players too. So there's a gap there as well. Hours don't make you perfect at skill checks.

He's a killer main, rarely plays survivor. It's really not that hard to get the value if you aren't downright terrible at the game, and most killers quickly leave those levels of players.

I'm so shocked to hear the random complaining CC is a killer main. Completely unexpected. I don't really care what some streamer thinks. What is it with this community's inability to have and use their own experiences?

The value of this perk has nothing to do with being good or bad. It's based on your team doing badly. If you're not in a cordinated 4man where everyone is using it it's value is very low. You sitting on a gen and getting more progress on it while everyone around you dies isn't exactly a winning situation.

  • He looks so silly and the global laughter is terrible.

The new DBD Creator Program. It means they are sponsored by BHVR. Point is, he's a big streamer who has many hours of showing how abused this can be.

But that's the problem with the us vs. them mentality this game has.. no amount of proof by the other side will convince any of us… and BHVR a lot of the time it seems just listens to the biggest voices… Is tunneling and slugging a terrible epidemic that happens every single game? Yes if you ask a survivor main, no if you ask a killer main.

Someone with tons of hours playing at a high level (and performing for an audience) is not a good example of anything in this game. You can just play it yourself and see if you get value. I tried it and got none and then I took it off. And a lot of other people are doing the same. I saw it a few times in my killer matches yesterday. It made no difference in those outcomes. I haven't seen it once today. The novelty is quickly fading, and it was brought on by overreacting.

Ask a survivor main vs ask a killer main doesn't even make sense. Play killer only and all you'll see is your own playstyle, and if you do those things you already don't think they're an issue. Play survivor and you'll see a lot of different killers and a lot of different cheese.

Oh, I also dont care about Fast Track itself. The Devs can nerf it because Killers were crying about it, I dont care about the Perk. And I guess most people will not care who played it. What I care about is that it would be another thing which gets changed because Killers complain instead of just waiting a bit. Because once new toy syndrome is gone, Fast Track will be used far less, since it is just not as good as the Meta Perks for Survivor.

But the brainrot is strong with this one. I have seen a Killer today who complained more about Fast Track on a Survivor than the fact that the Survivor was cheating (a Dwight with Fast Track, Hyperfocus, Built to Last and Deadline). And the best thing is that Fast Track did not even have much impact, since there were only two Hooks by Cheryl and my SWF-Mate and myself were slugged and never hooked. Yet this Killer, even if they knew that Dwight was cheating, complained more about Fast Track than cheating. Complete brainrot with all the complaints about Survivor Perks.

I've even playing killer today, about 10 matches so far, and there hasn't been one single Fast Track, so I think people are already realizing the hype isn't real.

This is a pariculalry interesting case of social media idiocy, and a whole lot of noise over something that's not much. If they nerf it, it's proof that outcry matters more than reality. And only one side's outcry, as Ghoul remains despised.

  • Do you think new survivors are mad you've memorized tile layouts or pathing too? You should be better at things. That's the whole point of time investment.

I took stats from Survivors I played with once or a few times in one day, and in all of those games I got downed. I have recordings of the last few matches, in one a gen reached maybe 30 - 50% progress. In second match, a full gen got done.
I guess wasting time for 20-30 seconds is good enough?

If progress gets made and the killer's time gets wasted, I'd say it's good.

This is my experience as well. I had another evening of running my Gen Build, which includes Fast Track. And again, I have to say that I am not impressed. There are some Gens which were done crazy fast, but I dont think this was overall more helpful than my regular Build. Plus, most of those Gens would have been equally as fast with pre-Buff Fast Track, because there was no difference between charges being removed or if it would have been Progress added like before, because I did those Gens uninterrupted. And if you dont get interrupted, it does not matter if you put "Mini-BNPs" in the Gen or just do it quicker.

But there have been situations where I am pretty sure that me running a Gen-Build did not lead to better results. E.g. I could do a Gen extremely quickly because I had 9 Stacks of Fast Track on a Gen which was already filled with 3 Stacks before. But I was also 2-Hook in that game because nobody could get me in time since the Killer came back, which would not have been the case if I had my usual Deliverance.

Also, I think the time I would have saved by running Deja-vu in my regular Build to find Gens would have been more valuable than the time I save on Gens by using a Toolbox (with Built to Last), Hyperfocus/Stake Out and Fast Track.

I also switched it for Deja Vu and felt I was better off with the tiny repair boost and the info rather than a perk I may or may not get any value from. All my matches ended with me still having tokens too, either because I died, everyone died so fast they weren't even worth using, or the killer did so bad i didnt even need to bother and barely had any tokens to use. They can listen to the outcries and nerf it, I really don't care, but it's not amazing unless maybe you're in a 4man and all of you are running it. But I'd have to try that out for myself to know, and I doubt I can get together three people who even want to play survivor anymore.

  • I'm not playing this game much but I see this perk getting used almost every single round at least once and every 4-5 games a full team runs it

Let's be fr here. I've played 19 matches tonight and have seen maybe 3 individual people with this perk. I tried it out myself and found it to be too situational and inconsistent in soloq to be worth running.

we gonna be rolling in bp after all these issues are fixed.

We been a banner of a fried server to match the Jim badge.

  • It takes me 5+ tries to get into a match. Otherwise it just sends me back to the lobby whenever the match tries to start.

  • It's happening to me too. Every other match I get booted and have to restart the game.

  • Was this supposed to be resolved because I'm still having issues? Managed to play 3 matches. 3 others disconnected during the load-in and I had to restart the game each time.

i’m gonna be honest. I really just edited the post to add context because I actually did just unlock blight today and if I’m being completely I missed a hell of a lot, and I feel like me blaming it on a perk was not the right call. I feel like the right call would’ve just been to say that I just suck at blight.

Well, it's good you can say so instead of digging your heels in and doubling down like most people here. So kudos for that.

Saying you suck is overly harsh for a killer you've never used. I try a killer out in customs before I go to pubs, and Blight is one of those killers I tried and decided the smash-your-face-into-a-wall style just wasn't for me.

  • Okay so you've changed your original remarks to add that you're playing with a killer you've never used (who isn't parculalry new-player friendly) and with no perks, at that. And you're blaming opponents' perks for this quick loss?

  • Survivor, by far.

I never feel helpless as killer. Even if I get to end game with zero hooks I can (and have) won. I feel I can keep charging forward until the end. I once had the same fatalistic mentality as a lot of people, that survivor is meant to lose more than win so I shouldn't stress, but I no longer agree with that mindset. If you put enough hours into a game you should be able to see better than average results without having to go full sweat comp. Though there's certainly been times when the game has paired me against survivors I shouldn't have been with, I still felt capable of action and a full, whole match. But as survivor, it sometimes takes just 30s to realize the matchmaker has fed my soloq lobby to a p100 Blight CC's winstreak and that's infuriating. Knowing there's nothing I can do is the game's worst feeling, and I only regularly get that feeling as survivor.

I also only really feel anything of value was achieved for me as survivor unless I escape or my team escapes. Having a good chase is not satisfying to me, nor is completing gens. But as killer, each hook and each kill feel like their own little victories, like a meter is filling by up. So my survivor satisfaction is more black and white, while my killer one has a varied range.

This is the issue with the community.

People are just complaining about fast track because content creators told them. 😫

At this point. I wouldn't blame the devs for going off internal data alone, when most of this community's vocal playerbase just parrots CCs while having no idea how things work. It's also easier to just blame whatever everyone else is blaming at the moment for poor personal performances.

  • I haven't noticed any excess dodging and I've had one or two of this guy in pretty much all my lobbies. I haven't heard any stigma related to him either.
