I played 5 matches to test it before my friends switched to blood moon and I stopped trying to test it in that mode.

Of those 5 games, only 2 were games that I got any value out of it whatsoever. One of those was a gen that I had time to finish even if I was perkless, and the other I finished with a great skill check as the killer was approaching (and would've done the same with old fast track). Both of those games were 4k's with gens remaining.

The other 3 games I was tunneled out first twice (zero value) and the third game I was at max stacks going for rescues and recovery just burning tokens not even touching a gen.

So far, in my personal experience, I'd have been better off with more consistent value running deja Vu. Or resilience. Or literally anything else.

I've been paying really, really close attention to this perk's presence in my matches. Like you, I ran it for 5 or so matches and it made zero difference in the outcomes. I brought it back out recently to try again. The matches have all either been losses or ones we would have won anyway because the killer got no hooks so the park was useless. Very often I can't use the stacks because, as you said, I was too busy and they were maxed out as well. There's also the issue of even getting a skill check, then hitting the great. Meanwhile, in my killer matches, I've lost a total of one match where someone has run this perk, and I've had people using it with Stake Out and Hyperfocus, or that goofy chest build. It's dropping off now though because people are catching on.

The perk I've been switching it out with is Self-Preservation, which I find infinitely more valuable and I really hope things stay quiet about that one. Funny enough, when I was running FT instead, I had a match against Momo, where FT was basically useless, but SP would have extended the match (doomed as it may have been anyway) because I would have been able to run freely without scratch marks when he came for me after hooking the second to last player. So I think I'll stick with SP. It let's me quietly meditate on a gen undisturbed, or prerun and let the killer look for me in lockers.

Frankly, BHVR should not be making changes based on DCs.

I said the stats are cherry-picked data and thus not reliable. DCs in my killer matches happen when I'm absolutely going to win. If it's that way in most people's matches as well, then thousands and thousands of matches (that would almost all be killer wins) are missing from that information.

But yeah, they should consider DCs when making changes. If someone being hard tunneled DCs 35% of the time, or 18% of people DC against a Ghoul immediately, that's a huge indicator of player discontent, and discontent is important. There's no other way for people to show their displeasure at something in-game. It's not just about numbers. People won't play a game they find unenjoyable, no matter how perfect the numbers are.

  • It hasn't been nerfed because it's probaly not overperforming. It's been underperforming in both my killer and survivor matches.

We shouldn't be balancing a killer around what 1 player has accomplished with them. BHVR put out their stats last week and Blight wasn't even in the top 5 killers for Kill Rate in both High MMR and Broad MMR. This is very likely why blight gets passed over for changes. He's simply not overperforming according to their own stats.

The stats are borderline useless. Unless something changed with this batch, any match with a DC is excluded from publicly released numbers. So imagine how many Blight, Nurse, and Ghoul matches were cut from the data. Consider just how many people probably DC from Momo's matches alone when he hard tunnels them at 5 gens.

Same! I've never felt so incredibly helpless in helping my teammates.

Closest game I had, I was with my friends on RPD, and I was the chosen to be tunneled out first. The map is what helped us mostly, but still, never felt like such a weak link in my entire life.

I was the chosen on one of mine too, and was immediately deleted from the match. The other I managed longer but it was solely becuase it was Trickster's Delsuion, and he had three of us slugged at one point. The fourth guy playing it right was the only thing that kept the match going. I'm actually glad I was solo. I wouldn't have wanted to watch my friends get mowed down too. It's not as though there would have been a single chance of success anyway.

  • @Rock_KBob said:

I had the misfortune of matching with him 3 times during this particular streak run and let me tell you, I've had plenty of awful games on DBD, but I vividly remember each match with Momo more than any other.

Yo fr. I keep mulling my matches against him over in my head. For me, I think it's compounded by knowing an audience of fanboys cheers him on while he casually steps on you.

  • Though I felt it already as survivor, I wanted to see how busted anti-gen was as killer. I ran Ruin, Undying, and DMS. Seven out of eight matches were 4ks, two of which were at 5gens, and one of those as Henry on Trickster's Delusion, which might be his worst map. I really don't know what they were thinking allowing perks where the usual counter is "dont let go" when there's no way to not let go.

  • Matchmaking is only part of the issue. I was put against momo twice in the last couple weeks, in both i was solo, and I am an extremely mid survivor. Like, I don't even have a good grip on pathing and utilizing tile layouts. I'm positive the criteria to be matched with him is being on the same server at the same times and getting a bad dice role. That or MMR is so incredibly bad at judging quality that it genuinely thinks my potato self belongs in the same bracket as this guy.

BUT there are teams who actively try to get matched with him. They spend all night in the queues stream sniping until they land him, and they still lose. He finally got beat by pro players who personally knew him, knew his build, knew how he played, and used comms to counter him. It took that level of planning and intention to stop him for just one match. That's how busted not only Blight is, but tunneling and slugging, since those are his primary methods.

  • Just now got out of a killer match where two of my opponents threw. They played instruments and ran around me screaming with Scene Partner. I'm all for memeing, but the others were playing serious, and that's not fair to them.

Funny enough his 2k win streak finally ended but only because a Swf Streamsniped him and counter perk him with full item load outs.

So just summarizing they could only end his win streak by cheating

Yeah I'm very aware and overjoyed because I was one of his many victims (more than once) on the ride there, and had been hoping he wouldn't get to 2k, but it's crazy it took a sniping comp team to cut him off. The game is basically unwinnable if the killer is as good as the survivors in its base state.

I'm absolutely against emotes. It would turn this game into something it isn't. But a simple cross arm horizontal wave for "no" would totally be in line with the point and come here wave we already have.

There have been a lot of people who want paid survivor emotes and killer moris. Definitely won't make the game goofier or contribute to toxicity s/

The one Skull Merchant I saw yesterday was an awful match. Two of the survivors immediately stood next to her the whole match.

Funny was she refused to hook them, so me and the other player that were actually doing gens, etc. got some free BP from those two.

People still automatically "go next" when they see her.

I don't blame them honestly. I don't know if I've ever gone against a SM that doesn't hard tunnel immediately.

  • You get the 6x is regular mode too. I've just been playing that. Can't say I've enjoyed this event as either role.

  • Watch (or experience) a few Momo matches and you'll see everything that's unhealthy in this game. Tunneling, slugging, Blight, four slowdowns, garbage matchmaking that feeds any unlucky player to someone else's ego, DCing/AFKing/throwing. It ain't SWF that's the issue. How many hundreds of SWFs does someone like that beat before finally being stopped for one single match?

  • Making it so people can't browse each other's profiles in the lobby would help with this. I don't get why it's even permitted to check people's hours beforehand, because if someone with 300 hours gets someone with 3k, of course they'll dodge.

Correct, this one is not on BHVR, this one is on Nintendo. Sadly this cursed company has so many fanboys that they can do stuff like this.

I truly have no idea how people can still support Ninetendo.

  • Though I'd like either a chat wheel or maybe some more emotes, most things are pretty conveyable to experienced players. For "go away" I point. For "stop" I shake my head and sometimes use the "come here" gesture to make them stop doing a paritucualr action. You can't emote mid-heal anyway so that would require something else.

  • They should make it so you can report cheaters through the stat page as well, through the match's history. The ability to report shouldn't just shut down completely because of bugs.

  • @OmegaXII said:

    There's a steam ranking in nightlight.gg or https://dbd.tricky.lol/

Ah, tricky. I didn't know that was taken very seriously, since it only pulls form previously submitted Steam users. That cuts out a massive chunk of the playerbase. It would be nice if the official stats would add a global leaderboard.

  • You mention DCs as something that skews stats, which is true, but not in the way you say. Any match with a DC is thrown out for these numbers. And we all know DC matches are usually wins for killers. If they included those, we'd see just how broken KRs truly are. I'd guess most are actually in the 70s and 80s against the high tiers. If you're playing Ghoul, I'm sure you see a lot of DCs, so consider how many of your 4ks were tossed for these numbers. Even my monthly killer ststs look like this:

    Screenshot_20260329_123130.jpg

Yet Henry is only in the 60s on the stats, and I'm a very average player, but I've also had a lot of DCs in early game when I get a fast down. So if he's a 70%+ in my mediocre hands, he's an 80%+ in better hands. But the stats don't show that.

  • @OmegaXII said:

I'm currently World Ranking 35 Henry, and I'd say... Probably, but ultimately it really depends on survivors skill.

Against low/mid survivors he's pretty broken, because you won't miss most of the time. And we all know how strong he is if he doesn't miss.

But against high end survivors who knows how to dodge/losing LOS, he's pretty average TBH. His power to injure has time-limit, and it's pretty short after the nerf. And if each activation can only get you one down, he's going to lose hard.

I'm playing at Hong Kong server where majority of survivors are SWF, and some of them are extremely good in dodging attacks. So I only got 62%KR even though I'm World 35 LOL.

PS: Another reason is I don't really camp/tunnel, so I lose a lot of games that I could've won.

How can you know your world rank?

  • Even though it looks this way, it still reflects as a 4k in your stats. I kept track of all my killer match DCs and abandons for 30 days and the KR was correct.

On the survivor's end, the abandon deletes the match from their record. It's neither an escape nor a death, which makes basically all personal survivor stats inflated. It's been brought up many times in the forum but no explanation has been given.

  • @BongoBoys said:

They make a DC Rate list for Killers and Ghoul will have a 50% dc rate

    And an 80% KR

  • Strange. I've been using it lately too, and have had no issues. I've been left totally undisturbed on my gens without a thought to countering aura.

He is good if you can predict and hit your shots which logicaly happens more in high mmr than in broad mmr where people are more skilled and played more characters and have better game sence.

He is good if you hit your shots he is like uknown but better because unlike harmless if you hit your shots you get rewarded more, on paper he sounds nurse like but I dont think theres anyone who can hit almost every hit with him and as you say he is hard in my opinion one of hardest killers in the entire game because if you dont get hits with his power you are just 110% speed killer which is even way worse than 115% killer not to mention his power needs multiple hits to get you clocks so your power can do actualy something and spaming his power midlesly isnt that great too because you get slowe a lot and survivor holding W can be easily from your range and he isnt good for catching up, his mobility compare to other vecna is terrible at catching up and he has no power (almost) near hooked survivors where it takes ages before his attacks will hit from his power.

Just like pyramidhead where he is on paper sss-tier who can hit you through walls but in reality its not that easy, henry is bit easier I would say but than you depend on your power more and its still not that easy thing to do.

With that vecna part Im kinda confused here too like people kinda miss there is The Vecna form D&D and than its The "vecna" from netflix so I firstly though that post was about the Vecna who I would say isnt bad on swamp due to his skeletons working better on elevation than on straight surface.

If you time Undergate right or place yourself in just the right spot, you can get it to work near a hook as normal. He shouldn't be able to spam instant vines under someone's feet though so the anti-power near hooks is fine. The hold W is unfortunate, and decent players will drag you to the other end of the map while gens get done, but he still manages to be very strong, and World Breaker is crazy powerful. He could never be 115%. He'd be as hated as Ghoul.

Pyramidhead seems drastically harder to me. I tried him during the 2v8 trial and couldn't hit a single thing. With Henry, I've got a 75% KR for the past 30 days and that's playing him on console as an average player. So hard-ish, yeah, but very doable with practice.

  • It happened in about a third of my matches yesterday

  • P100 just shows you've played a bit, though how they got to it, you don't know. I got my main survivor to p100 last anniversary because the BP was flowing. You also don't know where the points came from. I was dumping my killer points into that survivor, and I'm currently dumping BP from my few survivor matches into my killer, who will probably be a p100 by the time the next anniversary ends and then I get to have people tell me, "omg a p100 you suck uninstall" which is gonna be very funny.

  • I'd love to see the numbers including the DCs, considering half of Ghoul matches seem to have at least one.

  • I'm also maining him, p56 currently, and I'd say he's at least top 10. He's just not easy, like Ghoul, and is very jukeable by good players. Most people considerr him A tier. KR-wise, he's doing about the same as all my other killers though. And yeah, inconsistent elevation is truly terrible with him and is my biggest source of embarrassing missed shots.

But let's be fr. He's not the real Vecna; he's named after the real Vecna.

  • Bugs? In dbd? Absurd.

18% means 18% of players passed the threshold. There's no percentage cap. It's only different if they lowered the threshold number.

I have no idea what your point is. In 2024, you were playing against the top 10%. Now, you're playing against the top 18%.

You also don't know anyone's MMR so you're just assuming about yourself and your opponents. Four years means yours may have decayed anyway.

Actually, I do. It was possible to check your MMR in the past and I checked it. I was max MMR. I won't go into details here, but I can discuss in private messages if you want.

I've been playing for a few months now. My MMR should be back to max if decay even exists. Regardless, it doesn't take much to reach high MMR. A 30-50 win streak depending on your starting MMR is all it takes.

Also I think you misread my post. I stopped playing in 2024, so it's only been a year.

Oh, 2 years then. So you've been gone since the grade system went away? Well sure, it's different numbers. They changed the whole thing. I'm pretty sure almost everyone thinks it sucks, aside people who want easy wins. It's supposed to be getting reworked, but who knows how that'll go.

this is subjective and requires multiple opinions. cant call people idiots based on your experience alone

BHVR doesn't actually need anyone's opinon on this one. This is a data question. They alone know how much this perk is being used, and how successful it's been. Those number are either high or low. A perk's success doesn't need a vibe check. This is just something people have decided to blow up.

I'm not calling people idiots because I'm only using my experience. I'm calling them idiots for using CC views instead of their experience. I play everyday and have seen low use and low success for FT. Meanwhile, people who've openly said they're either not playing or are barely playing are weighing in, and there's nothing to base those views on but CCs and other people's views. Does that seem smart to you?

  • @Dwight_Fairfield said:

Its especially fun when the killer has ruin. You pour blood into a gen and its regressing as soon as you go to refill your can miles away.

Ruin, Undying, and Thrill on a p100 slugging Ghoul was what officially checked me out of survivor on this run, one session in.

  • I get server DCs, including the ones where characters are running into walls, a decent amount. I get 0ks from them sometimes as killer. I've even had ones within 10-20 matches of each other, but I've never been hit with the penalty.

  • The vast majority of players seem to play both roles. Pay attention to the p100 badges people have been using. Killers with survivor pictures, survivors with killer pictures. It's actually been wonderful to see it so visually displayed. I make sure to switch my badge when I switch roles. This hyper-biased main nonsense is more prevalent on social media than the actual game. The amount of people who play 85%+ killer is probably very small, however loud they may be.

Thank you. I won't comment on everything you said else we'd be co-writing a novel, but I did read all of it and take out some key points. The approach angle is one I am subconsciously doing already, but I think I forget to do that with other killers because I associate it so strongly with Wraith. I'll keep that in mind. Appreciate the in-depth resonse.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4067352#Comment_4067352

I think I want to avoid hard maining anyone and at least be competent with each killer eventually. Just so, if the mood strikes me, I can randomly pick up Singularity or Billy without having to fret. I enjoy Wraith plenty! He's basically what I'd call the standard DBD experience without bells & whistles. I mostly wanted to touch base both about people's own experiences, like yours with Henry (who I suck at, so power to you for gitting gud) and to see if there's a consensus on whether or not defaulting to wraith is costing me development.

Honestly I haven't met many people who are casually comfortable with any killer. I don't even have a big chunk unlocked and I never will because some are of zero interest to me, or I just downright hate them.

I can't say I'm actively striving towards development, even at thousands of hours. It kind of happens naturally with both roles if you play them and watch how other people play them. I learn more from observing opponents than anything else. I'm also just trying to have a good time, and have other people have a good time. If you're not gearing towards playing comp or streaming or going for a winstreak or something, what's left is enjoyability, and you should do what's fun. I'm on console and so always avoided ranged killers, as the learning curve is much higher, but I found Henry so initially fun that I didn't care I was underpeforming. Now, 400 matches in with him, I'm no longer underperforming, but I'm still having fun. If the fun stops maybe I'll go back to Clown or Vecna or whoever, but for now, I'm having the best time I've had as a killer in a while. And hey, commit to Wrairh enough and you could become a top Wraith player.

Ive never seen this being a thing. Its commnly known that those who want to make the games unfun are meddling with the event queue. So the games in normal queue are more likely to be fair, which in fact means, that skill expression is more obvious, bit thats nothing to do with try-hards.

What I usually find is that events start really killer-sweaty and then end really survivor-sweaty. I think it's becuase killers go in and smash survivors who are just trying to interact with something fun, so those survivors leave, and eventually there are a lot of sweaty parties left at the second half.

  • A lot of people hard main a killer. I started the game playing only one and stayed that way for awhile. Then I shifted to playing more and became anti-main for awhile. Out of my top 10 most used killers, I have about the same stats (aside from a couple of drastically lower or higher outliers) with everyone, but I don't think it's bad to have one killer you're great at, or just really love playing. Quite out of nowhere I fell in love with Henry and now I don't want to play anyone else, and I haven't since his release. If you like the gameplay and the results, then you're good. If you get bored or want to expand, change.

  • I played about 10 as survivor and it was God awful. It's so easy to cut off the blood gens supply routes, and the killers all brought antigen and hex perks. Most matches were 4ks at 4 or 5 gens. I don't think there was a single team win. I switched to killer and won my matches. I won't be going back to survivor unless I have to at the very end.

    And then yeah, the spawns:

I mean, if you are a god looper then yea the killer likely isn't going to tunnel you. But the point is that if the killer is intent on tunneling you personally, none of those perks will make much difference, not even Iron Will and Lucky Break vs. a killer that knows what they're doing.

However, I think part of the problem with all of this is we all have nothing but anecdotal evidence of anything we say about a PvP game's balance. Even big name content creators only can say what they see and have the video to showcase. It's still all anecdotal.

I mean, the big name CCs are probably the worst example of any normal experience, being paid performers playing at a high level. Anecdotal evidence is all we ever have aside from the smidgens of data BHVR let's us see. But none of us know our MMR (despite all the assuming that goes on), how much it even matters, how many hours or years of experience others commenters have, definitive indictators of when you're playing against/with solos or a party. Assumptions and our own games are all we can go on. I'm at the point where I think BHVR should mostly go off numbers and not feedback unless they improve how they intake said feedback, because it's currently anonymous people screaming on the internet, many of whom are probably exaggerating, if not outright lying to get their way.

I will readily say that maps n m1 killers are a issue that desperately need looking at. Trapper I know is often brought up and he does need help. But he and a few others are product of when the game was stealth based rather than chase. And as much as I rag on BHVR, I don't think there really is a viable way to help him that wouldn't make him soft skull merchant 1.0 miserable. Then we have maps like Coldwinds that is WAY too small and is a massive buff to speed killers rather than helpful to m1ers, or the eyrie tiny map that's just a massive deadzone. The Game being just a miserable time as killer for being pallet city so you are having to try so much harder.

I honestly just get tired of the same tired excuse of why it's okay to make 4 others miserable when it's honestly just better to find out what you lack in your playstyle and improve. I was bad at mindgames for a long time and I set to learning and watching how teammates looped when I'd play survivor and it's helped tremendously.

There are RNG issues for sure. I will forever rail against locker spawns as Dredge, and Badham is pretty much an autoloss for me with him/it/whatever. Lery's is a similar issue for lockers. But those issues screw over both sides. Will say though, I'm currently maining Henry and The Game is dream.

I don't get it either, and it's a common mindset. I give people hatch all the time because they give up or get sandbagged by disgruntled teammates. I don't know how you down someone who's just standing there looking at you. What's the point of these wins?

Meanwhile, as survivor, mercy is rare. I had a Ghoul last night playing like a dick. Tunneled the first hooked, teammates tried to interrupt and got slugged, then they all DCed one minute in and I was alone in this match with a killer who was still doing their best to find me. Like bro had zero chill. I could never.

If you get tunneled, it doesn't matter what perks you brought, they are all useless. Even second chance perks as they just delay the inevitable. Especially in solo queue.

I'm not a fan of the "just bring perks" crew in regards to tunneling, I'd much rather have in-game solutions, but using Iron Will and Lucky Break has not just kept me from getting tunneled, it's made me pretty much unhookable. I'm going many matches without hooks, and still doing gens and wasting the killer's time. If the tunnel becomes too hard, they either stop or they lose. To each their own, but there are ways to deal with cheese without becoming a God looper.

That's a lot of word salad to not address at all what I said. Tunneling and camping is not in fact a strat, it's an abuse of game design that wasn't thought about or how it could be abused. Also by your own fallacy argument you have us vs them mentality by inferring I'm survivor main. Official stats already showed the dreaded swfs win 1% over casual. Because they aren't actually that huge of an issue. Killers are just too used to these 'strats' and when hard countered cannot deal because they never addressed what in their playstyles that was the actual problem.

Every argument I've ever seen on this is the equivalent of something like Overwatch telling top 500 players they're need to be handicapped because plat players are upset they get rocked in qp. I want my skill to be seen as skill. Not abuse a mechanic devs didn't think would be an issue and everyone around me has to build around the off chance I play that way.

I'm sorry to inform you that if you say you mostly win without cheese than you are clearly low MMR, even though MMR goes up with wins, yours just somehow doesn't because reasons. You are only a true killer main if you complain endlessly about how hard your matches are and how every match is against a comp 4man and about how much you lose while still being upper MMR because, again, this magic invisble number somehow never changes. You are never, ever allowed to say that it's fine to lose to people who are better than you. It's maps, perks, RNG, and survivors being OP that cost you your deserved wins. You're are also, in fact, a crying survivor main, somehow.

  • I haven't played it yet but from this info and others, I'll likely only be playing killer. God forbid killer's release their death grip on anti-gen. The fact that you can use Ruin and DMS on a gen that survivors can't not let go of is just absurdly bad design.
