if they absolutely /have/ to keep it vertical then this is the version i like the most. very nice.
-
what do you meant there was no obsession in your 3 games? don't you know that every single survivor runs unbreakable + ds every single game?
-
damn i wish they would have been nice enough to disable maps w/ hills when the hill bug was around.

Not to be that guy but those ideas are horrible balance-wise and make no sense. Just the fact they rely on survivors not knowing they are friggin' exposed should be enough to understand it.
i agree, i didn't like the changes he proposed at all.

In fairness, all the other reworked maps had very few, very spaced, and extremely unsafe pallets(2 centimeres to either side). I didn't hear any killer main saying this isn't fair. But when one map doesn't end up being killer sided ... the sky starts falling again.
this x1000000. they're awful quiet about deadzones.

it's meant to do that unfortunately. it's ######### annoying.

Same answer I gave the other guy. A chat option turns the game into modified swf. Which is garbage, and ruins the whole point of the game for anyone like me that plays solo queue.
I have no problem with a player I can see proxy-text-chatting me that the killer is coming or asking for help.
I don’t want a player on the opposite side of the map telling me what they or the killer are doing. That is a totally lame game called swf. It removes the challenge survivors have in SQ.
You aren't smart enough to realize that if they buff solo queue near the level of SWF, they can buff many killers up and overall balance the game better.

@solidhex said:
oh, i wanted to post that in the bug report section, please move.
further explanation: when you go up the stairs and fall down the kettle, you can stand on the ledge since the update. Killer can do that to by swinging mid air, but i did fall down everytime i tried to hit those survivors, so i gave up.
that's always been a thing i'm pretty sure. it's not really an exploit since you can hit them.
-
It's really not though. It's objectively bad design. If there is no extreme outcry, there is no change. Not hard to understand.

Does Overwatch tell you what they do? well no they don't. some companies take the stance that even telling you they took action is more than the law allows. so no what I said is NOT incorrect at all. Just because one company does it one way does not mean all companies will do it that way, and many smaller companies (and Blizzard is a huge company) opt to do things that is even more safe than they have to so YES I am correct. Let me ask you this: If you are driving 55 in a 55 zone, is it legal for another to drive 50 in the 55 zone?? the answer is YES it is legal to drive SLOWER than the speed limit and thus taking a stricter stance than the law allows does not mean that not telling you what is going on is for legal reasons. Ask any Lawyer you know and they will tell you, if a company takes a stricter stance they are still acting in accordance to the law.
why are you comparing breaking traffic laws and burglary to a video game lmao. you’re wrong sowwy.
-
I don’t think there’s that many people who will pull the plug on their router for a casual game like dbd. Also idk why you think having ######### Internet is exclusive to console players??? Kinda weird. Anyways, they will never turn off dc penalties for only one platform and not the other.

first of all you do not know this, and they can not tell you what they did to another for LEGAL reasons. This is the case with ALL games. Also if you do not use the ticket system in conjunction with the report system in game AND actual evidence what can they do to act? NOTHING, if you accuse someone of breaking into your house you have to have evidence of their break in for it to stand up in court.
you need to report them on the scoreboard screen then you need to go to the customer support and fill out a ticket with additional player information. This is where you can present your evidence of what happened.
That first part isn’t true. Overwatch’s report system tells you when they take action against someone you’ve reported via pop up when you log into the game. It doesn’t tell you who specifically or how they punished them of course. But it’s a nice feature to know your reports are actually doing something.

Killer has been easy mode for a while now

best way to win as survivor right now is to not play.

It's the rank progress being taken away that bothers me more, I'd rather avoid those types of players that DC because they think the odds are against them.
But just to add on if killers could see DS, Deadhard, Borrowed Time and Adrenaline or what not before a game and they disconnected survivors would have something to say about that.
killers already dodge when they suspect a lobby is an swf or a map offering they don't like gets played. pls stop.
rank doesn't matter, you'll be just fine.
-
twins rework pls
-
been watching various streamers all day today and it's all maps.

...
-
i don't understand this post at all, could you not have closed the hatch or open the door? i don't get it. the game doesn't need a match time limit. egc exists already.
-
honestly with the huge ds nerf coming through i don't see why not.

how is that funny after cyberpunk lol, cyberpunk pretty much killed any other disaster for me, and I expect them from every release now
Cyberpunk may have been a giant fail but can you really say they failed aesthetically? Game is gorgeous.
It’s funny because it apparently took them months to put the heads of already made character models in a tiny little circle and then scattered the rest of the ######### elsewhere on the screen. Come on lmao.
-
The fact that it took them months to create something so aesthetically awful is so ######### funny to me lmao

They are actual people but this is their actual job. Being less aggressive about hating the changes to spare ~feelings~ would get nothing done.

You really aught not to be healing a lot against a Legion.
tell that to the console community sksksk

The UI is awful. No need for everything to be spread out, keep it at the bottom. And the survivor's red health bar is too small and hard to see. It also no longer flashes when a survivor is being healed or picked up by the killer which is a nerf to solo queue. Exhaustion timer is hard to see, especially for colorblind people.
The movements are what have really kept me from even updating (I played on PTB) and I don't see myself playing anymore (2k+ hours) until they are adjusted or reverted. They feel awful and sluggish. The whole start and stop thing that was added is just a bad idea, it makes it near impossible to dodge projectiles. It also looks really...unnatural? I'm also assuming the new movement has something to do with the awful awful hitboxes going on right now which is unacceptable tbh.
-
I agree. No praise until we see how they fix things. Game is still broken this very moment.

"soemtimes"? "godly hidden places", i'm sorry, but that's not true at all, the odds are like
10% they spawn in a godly place
90% they just spawn near a gen/ in front of a gen/inside a common loop/near a pallet/at the top of a hill/in the middle of the map without cover.
where do you suggest they put them? in the middle of deadzones? some maps are going to be better than others at hiding totems. don't act like hawkins, the game, lery's and midwich don't exist.

Right? I'm all for maps getting deserved buffs for the killer side of the game- there obviously have been some heavily survivor sided map aspects in the past, and perhaps even now. But I'm not gonna lie and say that I'm too offended that they gave survivors more to work with on one of the maps that has been considered killer sided for a very long time.
Haddonfield and Coldwind are probably right up next in line for map changes, and I am sure they are gonna get some HEAVY nerfs LMAO
Exactly. I never see killer mains complaining about the gross amounts of deadzones they keep adding to the reworked maps so I really don’t sympathize for them to have to deal with one map with good pallets.
Oh cold wind is gonna get hit the hardest, no doubt. I hope haddondield stays mostly the same though. I think that map is really fun, even when I get it on killer.
-
@CheyeneKL said:
Was the Game not already considered one of the most killer sided maps? Last time they released map stats this map had a kill rate of... 66.57%, I believe. Which was only behind Hawkins with its kill rate of 69.48%. (Rotten Fields was the safest with 53.99% for kill rate, btw)
Chase is sort of boring, for sure, but it's pretty much one of the only maps like it, so it can be dealt with. And that's coming from a survivor main who also doesn't really enjoy chase gameplay that is just throwing down pallets, but it is what it is. Not every map is super great for every killer- the Game is pretty nice for stalker killers and Doctor with Distressing
Anyways, devs must have seen something in the stats to find it worth buffing on the survivor side. Most maps have received relatively killer sided buffs so like... I don't think anyone should be too upset if ONE map gets very clearly survivor sided changes.
Survivors aren’t allowed to have maps that favor them duh.
Killers are so used to getting maps “balanced” with deadzones and laughably unsafe pallets.

The point of the ptb is to find bugs.

I've seen a considerable amount of posts about EGC being toxic for a great many people, not just me. I didn't play when there was no EGC timer, I play now. And while I play now I feel like 4 minutes is too long. I can appreciate that you don't agree and I phrased my post in a way which allows for civil discourse (that means respectful discussion... also means talking nice to people). "Suck it up" does not allow for respectful discourse. Using your rationale, since the devs did something once to help an area they shouldn't consider any more improvements ever again, which I think is silly. In my experience, people who say "suck it up" usually don't like others disagreeing with them or don't have something constructive to offer, they just like to be heard. (They also tend to say "Bro" and "Bruh" a lot, but that's a different matter.)
So anyways, have a pleasant day. See you in the fog!
if someone saying "suck it up" is that upsetting to you then you probably shouldn't be playing this game...have a good one ;)
-
they are working on a key adjustment. they said the key escape rate is in the single digit percentage, what more do you need?

Thank you for the constructive criticism. I bet you're a peach in post-game chat. Type "GGEZ" much? :)
there never used to be an egc. if the survivors were ######### they could open the gates and stealth around the map for however long they wanted to. no timer to force them out.
you're complaining about a mechanic that already favors killers in many ways and is in a pretty healthy state. you can clearly force idiot tbagging survivors out by walking up and hitting them or if it the tbagging hurts you that bad you can walk away and wait for the timer to go down. i don't know what else to tell you besides suck it up.
-
it can literally only be 4 minutes max, suck it up ?????
-
they're absolutely awful and make it hard to dodge projectiles and double back which is a huge problem.

Not sure where you see me giving an example, because I didn't.
I remarked that dedicating a perk slot to counter a very rare tech that might occur once in several hundred games is a non-solution.
"When two lockers are next to each other, two survivor can wait in the locker and safe the other survivor in time when he gets grabbed. No risk involved." "So two survivor can waste enough time to lose every gen or are invincible. When you ignore them, they start doing gens and with sprintboost or when they are healthy they reach almost every time a locker."
i was assuming this happened to you because it's very specific.
it's a bhvr solution.

Because it totally makes sense equipping a perk for every single trial on the off chance a very rare tech might be used against you. /s
it's ridiculous but this is literally how the game is designed.
don't want to get blinded? lightborn. don't want to get tunneled? ds. etc etc etc.
in your example you gave it seems like you played into what the survivors were doing instead of leaving to patrol gens...kinda ur own fault.

It's also very lame when a survivor gets Doctor shocked, screams, and then drops pallets or vaults through windows as if they hadn't been shocked at all. Sometimes they even double vault during the "vaulting disabled" window they're supposed to be in. Latency errors work both ways and they suck no matter who you are.
Both can be bullshit at the same time idk what you’re trying to accomplish with your snarky tone lmao.

I always find it weird when you are vaulting from like two stories up and you’re already halfway down to the ground and you manage to get hit by the killer. Like what the hell? He can hit me in mid-air now?
yeah i agree it's absolutely bullshit and if you try to talk about it all you get are people saying "it's latency!" like okay???it should still be fixed no matter what it is. it's not really very fair that all of the hits are confirmed on the killer's side.
