A lot of perks don't have any downside. Can you explain what the downside of bamboozle is, per example? Doesn't it shorten chases quite a lot, specially in places like shack where the window is really important? And I'm ok with that.

Does bamboozle shorten the chase by 20-30% ( like dh increases it by ~30+ seconds)? Or does brutal strength or iron grasp or agitation or iron will or botany or... or...

(Also for bamboozle especially survivor get the audio tell when the entity blocks the window so they can plan for it in the next loop already)

None of those passive perks without downside have such a significant impact PER USE as a correct used dead hard.

That's the reason it gets called the strongest or best survivor perk: significant impact (30 seconds chase means up to 90 of 400 seconds of gen progress), no real downside or counter (if used correctly, except the few ranged killer and even then) and, most importantly for me, all ON DEMAND at the push of a button.

Stopped caring when you complained about not knowing if a survivor has BT or DS.

Those 2 perks can easily be useless if the killer does not camp and tunnel, and before you say "they're strats" I really don't care. You can use your "strats" but then don't be surprised when there's perks in play that help counter those same "strats".

I don't see it being an issue killers and survivors not knowing which perks the other side is using. What do you want? For all perks to be visible in the lobby or what?

No but for people like you stopping to compare a perk without any downside and ridiculous strength to perks with multiple soft or one hard built-in counter mechanics.

No perk and I mean none come close to dh in terms of being risk free and without any form of downside and moreso being ON FUCKNG DEMAND.

Btw I personally don't have a problem with bt, ub or DS since i never used any of those "strategies" after the first year since release but for example DS was (and bt used for body blocking still is kinda) weaponized by aggressively staying on gens or going for saves in the killers face. But other killer player that WANT to ein still have to keep all the mentioned stuff in mind and the game isn't balanced for all of it plus i don't see stuff like that on survivor side with the exception of NOED.

And... For me was easy to make great skill check... I don't understand your complain... Are u alright?? Maybe just leave game and find another project to play?? Cuz DH is easy to Bite off, and only bad killer complain about DH...

    @legacycolt said:

Only inexperienced killers complain about dead hard. I play both sides and I couldn’t care less about dead hard.

I see so many people play killer and they often do not play optimal. There are many opportunities to bait out dead hard, but sadly most people are not concentrated when playing killer and then come here to complain about the perk because they think that was the reason they lost. It’s not the reason, you need to learn to play.

Okay you two, now please explain to me again how a dead hard for distance is baited out?

Aka the dead hard getting used outside of the sphere of influence of the killer to gain 3meter=5seconds distance to the killer so they can safely run additional 15-20meter to the next pallet or window and start another (possibly chainable) loop?

Normal dh to dodge a hit is baitable and can be messed up. DH for distance halfway running towards killer shack or similar isn't.

  • I said mid first. Fine, then i go ADC.

By that logic I'll switch BBQ for ruin.

Dead Hard gives a "third health state" because it extends chases, and ruin adds another gen because it is a gen slowdown, by that same logic.

Should ruin be nerfed? No. I don't think everything needs to be nerfed to useless status like some of you people.

And I would answer similar, can dh be completely made useless aka the totem be permanently broken?

Do survivor have to always play as if it MAY be in play like killer have to do for dh, bt, ub, DS and a few others?

The ONLY killer perk were THAT argument holds is NOED and there is enough flaming there already and I say delete NOED for all I care but balance the rest please. Survivor have half a dozen phantom perks a killer has to play around and can have 10+pseudo perks with comms. Both things killer can't. So maybe stop comparing stuff 1:1.

Nah, no strawman. Achievements can be completed as I and others have demonstrated so if you want them then earn them under the same circumstances like everyone else. Anything else is just sweet, sweet, entitlement.

Good job totally missing the point.

Survivor adepts are ridiculously easy and can be done without ANY effort.

On killer that's impossible and needs a significantly higher amount of minimum effort.

This whole post is kind of whataboutism a d correct.

Yeah, it's hard to understand the mindset for sure. Like they should just give out college doctorates to those who didn't go to school to earn it, raises to those who don't work as hard as their coworkers, etc.

Oh wow the reach there. From video game achievements to educational degrees.

  • @NerfedFreddy said:

They don't need "fix", they are totally fine how currently they are. They are not hard, but still give you a challenge and satisfaction after completing it. Just 4k as an achievement is laughable. It's called an achievement for a reason

According to you they should make survivor way harder then?

Just waiting for hatch is ridiculously easy or alternatively using a gate opened by another survivor without doing anything for it seems even more easy than a 4k most of the time.

  • @Marigoria said:

    So is BBQ, your point?

A perk being used a lot just shows most other perks just aren't as good, and why would someone not use the best they are able to? To not hurt someone's fee fees?

You bring bbq for comparison and then go on and talk about using "the best"? In terms of tracking and aura reading there are a myriad of better perks than bbq without 6 counters. (Btw dh has only one and that only when it's not used most efficiently for distance since then there is NOTHING the killer can do about it.)

Bbq is probably used for the BP by the majority, dh for the third health state. Which of those two had the bigger impact Ina a trial?

This is what really annoys me about DBD opinions. Killers get mad at people wanting to have fun with friends cause Solo Cue is miserable to play a lot of the time. You guys get so mad at meta when you use meta yourselves.

Well meta can be met by using meta. But killer can also be miserable a lot of times, what can they do?

Put on a meme build and not try to win? That would bring us back to meta vs meta.

Change their killer from for example trapper to nurse when they think in the lobby that the other side might tryhard? Too bad, doesn't work anymore thanks to killer specific MMR (as if that BS is working as advertised).

    @Valik said:

    It's not you - it's MMR.

MMR is easy to grind in SWF groups, which means higher skilled lobbies are dominated by them.

If you're seeing basically all meta SWF lobbies that are sweat fests, welcome to high MMR.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2895271#Comment_2895271

Bodyblocking isn't toxic, using perks itself isn't toxic, items are not toxic.

However, everyone ALWAYS rushing the most powerful (overtuned) Survivor perks grates and chafes after a short bit. At least survivors have the interest factor of facing off against killers with different powers - which can make matches unique and interesting regardless of meta perks. Killer mains have nothing to play around except perks and items. When every survivor brings meta perks and powerful items - the matches blend together and get super stale super quick.

Bodyblocking isn't, by itself, toxic. The problem is the implication. Taking a hit for a teammate is a powerful act that trades health states and time. But in the current meta, health to survivors is a sinch. Survivors are more brave than ever to get in front of a killer and take hits or hooks, because they're going to heal up and escape anyhow - at least in their mind. When you see a survivor bodyblock after 5billion matches, you don't think "Ah, yes! Take the hit! I will kill you ALL! I'll take you all on!" - now the killer thinks "Oh yeah, that's right, they're not afraid of me - I'm their entertainment. They know they're going to get out anyway."

For instance, T-bagging really isn't that big of a deal. So why is it more a big deal now adays than it ever was? Who legit complains about T-bagging anyway, it's not even that mean or anything? T-bagging, itself, means nothing - if anything, it paints a target on a player's back and puts them in a bad position - it can often get them killed. But survivors are doing it more and more. Toxic community? No.

T-bagging is a problem because survivors, now more than ever, feel the swelling sensation of confidence. They KNOW that they're safe, they KNOW that they're going to escape, they KNOW they're going to make your game hell - and they KNOW they're going to get away with it.

When a killer sees a T-bagging survivor these days, they don't think "Wow, what a jerk - he'll pay for that." - now adays they think "Wow. I really can't even punish them. The developers truly don't give a damn about this game."

    ~

People in this comment section are missing the heart of the statement and are getting far too involved with the specifics of wording. "you can't ABUSE perks!" this and "Bring meta perks yourself" that.

Wake up people. The guy is saying he's having a rotten time playing killer because of major design flaws in the game's core - as well as a fundamental lack of action from developers that squander their time on fruitless pursuits when the game is in desperate need of a balance overhaul.

This describes killer frustration beautifully. Back in the early days both sides had horrible broken stuff but until the second to third year both sides had less of an idea how to abuse the ######### that was left after the first initial nerfs.

Killer felt indimidating and survivor more often than not felt like they had respect for the killer. Nowadays? Yeah no, the killer is just player 5 and isn't subjectively more/stronger than that, no need to be afraid/have respect before that.

Sorry that you are having trouble I consistently get merciless and even give the last person hatch in most of my games.

Expect for the ones where I get heavily met with bad RNG on my end.

Your reasoning is really off so that is why I asked in the first place.

You can also just admit that you need more practice. Nobody in their right mind is going to believe that you were going to get adept in your 3rd match as Twins or any killer for that matter.

Its still funny. Survivor adept can be achieved just by letting the rest of your team do all the work while hiding and just getting out, even via hatch. You can play like the last tool and only by hiding get it because the difficulty for perk less survivor doesn't change and each survivor is just a basically a reskin. Never made much sense for me that survivor even have separate adepts for each re-skin.

But killer have to put in however much practice because base M1 killer is most often not enough and with each killer come different powers, movement speeds, vision heights and other changing parameters?

I would still call that unbalanced BS, at least in terms of this achievement category.

  • @Thusly_Boned said:

Each killer is viable - to a point. Only a handful (well, a couple) of them don't have a viability ceiling in terms of the experience of the opponent team.

There are a handful of players out there with thousands and thousands of hours who can sweat a few more into viability a high levels, sure, but the game shouldn't be balanced around them. If you're still 4King all the time with the Clown, GF, Pig, etc., rest assured you're not really at the top of MMR.

The reality is that for the vast majority of players, you've paid for 27 killers, but if you aspire to play at the highest level (especially now with MMR), you only really have 3-5 options.

It kinda sucks, and is one of the things that keeps me from wanting to push my killer MMR up (but mostly the insufferable sweatiness up there).

I startet to decrese my MMR. I just want to play every killer and thats not possible at the moment

What everyone forgets is that MMR gets turned off/soft when queue times get too long like everyday during prime time and then every killer gets just randomly matched with the survivor that waited the longest completely ignoring MMR.

But this only makes it worse as even people maining less viable killer should not be matched with high skilled survivor in the first place since they can only really compete up to a certain level.

I want a killer that can climb over walls and jump at survivors.

I want one that can force survivors to dance until their legs fall off.

I cant really think of any killer powers that can be implemented into the game that isn't already here. I mean it's obvious the devs are running out of ideas, their latest killer is just a mix of older killers powers. Their most unique killer was the Twins, but they didn't really think their power through and made them miserable to play so people wouldn't touch them and forget about them.

Climbing on/over walls and pouncing would be the spider killer i came up with a few years back.

Sadly that would either be like another nurse/blight as it could ignore or overcome some of the survivor defence mechanics or would mess up the spaghetti real bad/would be riddled with bugs like nurses teleport through certain object problem or blights random sliding of objects.

But i personally would celebrate xenomorph like moving killer crawling on walls or even just hanging on the ceiling for a pounce.

Imagine rod Mainhall with a spider killer hanging on the ceiling with insidious and suddenly pouncing down on the survivor around the gen there 😱

Or from high on the outer wall of the main building of clowns/nurses map pouncing across the map. (These cross map leaps sadly would also be brokenly op)

    Oh the exquisite jumpscare potential.

Another problem would be high grade arachnophobia. For example satisfactory gave an optional visual censor/filter for that and u don't think bhvr would take a risk)

  • Sorry but dcing outside of any kind of real-life emergency or hackers is bad.

In this particular case i would say the impact on the trial was minimal if they truly were on death hook but the killer still saved 10-20 seconds with that to be earlier on the next chase.

Also, DCs while being on death hook or even during the third hook animation are the most stupid ones i could imagine. Throwing everything earned during the trial away just to skip a 10 second death animation and/or trying to spite the killer somehow.

In the previous game, I was nemesis I gave them a GG because they played well and it was completely silent, as soon as the table was turned I got just BM and nothing else.

Sadly that's par for the course.

Play meta killer and win: BM

Play meta killer and lose: (hardcore) bm

Play a non meta killer and win: Nothing

Play non meta killer and lose: (hardcore) bm

And what's even better, play with tunneling, camping or mass slugging: obviously even more BM

Play without all that: again either nothing or GG ez when you lose.

I tried playing FOR survivor as killer for two years and even then there is most often no appreciation for the non tunneling/camping/slugging or off meta variety.

Sometimes you get nice people that thank you for the trial or are nice to talk too but the glaring majority is indifference/silence when they lose and only some form of "respect" like GG (ez) when they stomp you.

The only reason i log in now is to get those free blood points in hope that something changes to make it more appealing.

XD same. This one week of login rewards with SHARDS was the OBLY reason i reinstalled this game. Which reminds me i still have to uninstall it again.

  • Just Like i said in another thread yesterday, it's sadly ironic when you get motivated to play a game only to lose all that motivation upon seeing the main menu.

And that what it's like for me for the last 6-9 months.

I get excited to play again when cruising the forums but once I see the main menu i remember the "ugh" feeling of the not insignificant number of not so exciting and fun evenings and just turn DBD straight off again.

The biggest problem for me is also that DBD lacks any feeling of accomplishment as killer.

I guesse you're just not experienced enough, it is easy to tell from the first chase what add-ons and perks the killer has, at least the obviouse ones which dictates most of the games. Yes , I understand you can never know how the game will go but you can be close to 90% right. I rather go next instead to try for that 10% possibility of having that round to become fun. Its rly not a hard concept to grasp you know?

Maybe not in a short an frickle game like this but i am used to not throw games like lol (30-40 minute matches) or r6s (best of 7 5minutes rounds) in the first 10% and am maybe setting my standards too high for people to have more spine to pull through, what would be according to your prognosis nothing more than a few minutes, than to just give up on the slightest hint of inconvenience. But maybe i am just too old for this.

Yeah, I put it the wrong way, apologies. Of course there should never be a way to consistently counter something in DbD. English isn't my first language, so I didn't see my mistake.

But Nurse is a clear representation of killers created back in 2016, she would've never been released in her current state of DbD and she is holding killers back from reaching their maximum potential, because every general killer buff or killer perk buff, the devs will always have in mind 'how strong will this be on Nurse?'

Well it's the same issue on survivor side with 4 people swf with communication.

Give solo a buff and it most often becomes an abomination in such swf groups.

And they can't take one sides most potent tool out and leave the other.

  • @fixdeadhard said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2886394#Comment_2886394

Yeah because that's totally what I said.......(this is sarcasm btw). If you play solo when you're experienced enough, you can tell from first chase how the game will end 99% of the time.

I would call that statement a BS hyperbole as you can A) not determine all add-ons/perks during one chase and B) human error and determination to win and all rng that come with them are not predictable.

I have won more than enough games in lol, r6s, rocket league and other team games from the back foot just by not giving up.

Blight nurse and some other killers with certain perks are close to a guaranteed loss if you play solo survivor. If you already are fighting an uphill battle as solo and some1 goes down fast on top of that, while the killer possibly still has strong add-ons as well and a juicy NOED waiting for you at the end... A sane person would DC and go next 5 min later.

And you say here that once the game goes south against the mentioned character it would be the "sane" decision to end the game against them and not let them have fun.

Again, i call BS here that you could determine ALL add-ons and perks of the killer especially as solo player without communicative Exchange with the other players. Even going as far as mentioning NOED which is absolutely unclear until end game, and the complaints in this thread are aimed at early suicide/DCs.

So your argument remains that the sane option against every killer player using those characters and their good/best add-ons together with an assortment of perks the survivor thinks of as oppressive would be robbing them of a complete game.

And then i extrapolated that line of thinking to the other side and in an analogy every killer should just straight up cut games short when they know/think they face a swf squad with a set of items and perks the individual killer thinks of as "sweaty".

Of course my point was a exaggerating your initial statement but the underlying point remains that point from your post to me remains "if you think the opposition is using strong stuff and I might lose the game, might as well just cut the trial shorter for everyone and guarantee no one will have fun."

  • @egg_ said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2886509#Comment_2886509

Yeah, no. Blights and nurses in full meta? Uncommon? Are we playing the same game?

I don't play at all at the moment and if i play i AM the killer and never play meta and let everyone go after up to 8 hooks.

So yeah, we pretty much play different games.

  • @egg_ said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2886446#Comment_2886446

They obviously put it in the wrong way, but the overall point is that if it takes a full meta squad of extremely coordinated people to only stand a chance of having an average game against a full meta nurse, then there's something wrong with the killer

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2886451#Comment_2886451

No. Survivors should consistently have a chance of surviving around 50% of their matches against any killer

And what about the other way around?

Only nurse, blight and maybe spirit stand a CHANCE against the squads you name.

Both sides have things that break the game.

And they are uncommon on both.

But since the devs can't nerf top swf without "triggering" (sorry i just can't find the correct fitting word ATM) the survivor community, they also can't take the most potent tools from only one side.

  • Just make it an option 5 minutes after the start of the trial.

If the survivor haven't done 5 gens at that point either A) the killer is already winning or B) all parties had enough time to farm BP.

  • @CakeDuty said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2885815#Comment_2885815

Please do share with me how you consistently win against a good Nurse running all the strongest perks in the game! The one killer that ignores everything that survivors have to defend themselves! I'd like to hear about that one playstyle that completely counters her and her power, cause my 'lack of skill' sure can't figure it out. :)

And here we have an example for too high standards/wrong expectations in DBD.

"Completely counter her and her power" should never be a thing in the first place for any killer un this game.

It's still a 4vs1 and when one of the 4 is able to completely counter the 1 then something is broken. (Nowadays still most often the, due to long queue times, deactivated matchmaking)

Sounds as unbalanced as wanting to get consistent 4k just because of character or perk selection.

  • @fixdeadhard said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2886234#Comment_2886234

In a way a person that DC's (because he knows out of experience how the game will go) helps the other survivor to end the game quicker so they can go next game as well. You insult those people saying they are losers , but in the end it's the smart decision if you want to have fun (which is the main thing what playing games is for, which lots of people seem to forget).

So in your eyes it's the "sane" thing that neither blight nor nurse nor 4 men swf should get any games ever again until something gets changed by bhvr?

  • It's really "funny" when a game gives you enough of a form of "PTSD" (not trying to downplay the real form and the issues that come with it) that you load up the game and instantly loose all motivation to play upon seeing the main menu.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/317421/im-convinced-none-of-the-people-on-this-forum-play-killer-after-10pm

The queues after 10 PM can be strange for me. Survivor queues are sometimes 8 minutes while Killer is considerably longer. I thought more people would play at this time, but it's slow even on weekends.

As for Survivors playing mini-games mid-round, it's just the nature of having a team of players vs one player. The Killer experience can feel miserable and unrewarding when Survivors have an answer for EVERYTHING you do. Loop consistently, stun/blind when you finally pick someone up, destroy hooks and crouch spam when any of this is done.

This is why Killers end up camping or using NOED, I can imagine.

Where are you from, on which platform do you play and most importantly, do you have crossplay on or off?

From what you say with survivor queue being the normal 5+ minutes but ALSO killer queue being even LONGER sounds strange when people like me have less than 30sec queues all week after 8pm (killer only, eu west, PC, crossplay on).

  • Should I copy paste my answer from your thread from yesterday or just link the thread itself?

Since that was the same topic but instead of a vote for canceling a trial it was "please give free DC without penalty after someone else DCs first".

Will you post a third version of the same tomorrow? And at what point is opening threads everyday about the same thing considered spamming?

  • Just like the others said, individual Sabo survivor? Just deal with it.

A whole Sabo squad aiming to deny any and all hooks ferociously? Either mass slug OR depending on how frustrated the evening until then was, just afk in the basement facing the corner.

They don't want me to play or derive their fun from hardcore denying me? Let me be just as petty and deny you your game and any more BP. Bslest time then to get a refreshment or take a leak and relief myself.

True. Flip-Flop definitely helps but only if the killer doesn't pick you up right away. Maybe I should have focused this topic on uncooperative survivor teams. That's more what I was aiming at.

Okay since you put it directly into words here i am just going to quote this comment.

No iron grasp isn't even remotely op as other have pointed out.

And since your real point is that some things are frustrating when your teammates suck:

You can't balance for that. If the worst case is taken as the metric for balance then the best case becomes unimaginable broken.

4 people swf on comms already have a 15% higher escape rate than the rest. (Sadly they never said what the average is, like is it 50->65% or 35->50% or anything in between)

If any killer had that kind of lead in kill rates compared to the rest of the cast, they would get the nerf hammer immediately.

What i want to say is, you can't measure any performance, killer character or perk, with the worst case of survivors in mind.

  • That would still most probably be abusable by swf.

I made an argument about that 1 or 2 week ago in a similar thread:

    -Swf with survivor A, B, C and D go into a game.

-The first 2 minutes don't go like they want.

-Survivor A DCs, gets a 5 minute penalty and the other horse around in trial for 5 minutes while A goes for a drink, takes a leak or just listens, then B,C and D DC for free.

-next time survivor B takes the fall once the game doesn't go their way, for the rest same procedure as above

-next time C and so on

With this there would be at least 3 games between each DC penalty per individual survivor. Even more when games in between do go their way and no one DCs.

I don't know how fast the penalty ramps up and cools down but i think this would happen at an increasing rate, swf Cherrypicking their games and throwing the ones they don't like.

So are you saying that 4 streamer without comms(on solo) would be able to achieve the same results like if they had comms?

I remember something like that and they had very bad performance without comms

I don't talk about streamer necessarily as i know time played isnt necessarily equal to skill. (A good example is a friend that plays lol for 10 year and still plays her main character like a noob, for example individual full tank items on ADC)

Also aren't comms not the only difference but also being premade. As Aven has said, avoiding potatoes in the group.

Therefore my example is only really applicable with truly working matchmaking that puts 4 survivor of equal skill together.

And to your one example of 4 streamer having bad performance, how skilled were they individually? Did they goofe around or were they tryharding? How was the killer playing? That and more factors heavily into their "performance" and makes it hard to compare.

"Especially when everyone has the option and the majority even uses it to play better."

I guess the majority uses it to play with friends... But yeah, every SWF is some tournament squad, we already know.

Ah yes, put words in my mouth. I just said that everyone has the option to play intelligent, cooperative and learn how to play the game unlike the Claudette or meg or whatever in your example, aka "the option to play better" and not "play in a swf".

A group of 4 highly experienced solos can be indistinguishable from a normal 4 men swf on comms.

I thought you know that i don't have to hide my opinion that swf is just an easier way. I made that clear several times on the forums and don't hide behind innuendos.

  • I guess the definition of "useless" and "meta" differs from person to person.

Also what killer get is not something better but just the same in a different flavor.

What does the 20th gen perk help when they all do the same and even exclude each other's effect half or all the time. Also the killer still only has 4 perk slots.

Coh is now the same, just one of many heal perks but not above all of them in terms of effectivity. Unlike it did until now like for example dh that outshines still most other exhaustion perks.

It still is a team wide self-care aka worth 4 perks lots instead of just the one for normal self-care. It just switched the accessability for the user themselves and spreads it to everybody else and therefore had to be limited in range and setup time.

As you said, Comms would be a bad idea.

But, whatever they add, if it is Comms, a Ping-System or the Pictures in the UI - it will not solve the problem of Solo-Queue. Because all of this only works if the other party actually wants to do something according to the information they get.

The biggest advantage of SWF is to filter out Potatoes. You know when you are being chased that others are doing Gens. When you get unhooked, you know if they have BT or not. This is all not present in Solo-Queue.

If I am being chased, I might have a Ping-System to tell my team to do Gens or the UI shows that I am being chased, I can even say on Comms that I am being chased - this does nothing if Meg wants to get her "Loot 20 Chests"-Challenge done, Claudette wants to heal in the Corner against Sloppy Butcher and Dwight is hiding in a Locker because he heard Terror Radius for 0,5 seconds.

Then they would have to balance in that direction and shackle down swf and killer.

But that's also not an option because "playing with friends shouldn't be punished".

So people have to accept that it will always remain a problem in any Team based pvp online games when some eggheads prefer to play uncooperative, be it lol, r6s, rocket league, overwatch or any other. You don't win a team game alone.

You can't balance for idiots. Especially when everyone has the option and the majority even uses it to play better.

  • And hyperbolic statements will always be stupid arguments.

I ignored him but knowing that he's too good at chases and I don't want to chase him he basically kept running beside me taunting and clicking and his flashlight wasn't normal it didn't get consumed quickly so I already know that I should Ignire but he wasn't letting me play the game constant clicks with macro will cover your screen but they don't consume too much power.I was I a bad situation either I chase other survivors while these 2 jerks make it impossible to do so or I chase the Ace but I already tried he seemed like a speed cheater or just too good I managed to hit him but he escapes and heals at boons so yeah chase the guy till 5 gens are done or chase others but the duo won't let you down or Hook them among the constant bullying.

    PC or console?

On PC: just go into a corner to deny blinding points and tab out. Get a drink, watch something on YouTube or go take a leak.

On console: mute the tv and the rest the same as for PC.

If they want attention, actively deny them. Not passively by keeping playing the game.

Of course keep it in moderation since being afk the whole match could potentially get you into trouble as it is reportable to a certain degree (aka from the begin of the trial all the way through)

  • @Hex_Ignored said:

I aim for 0% but you'd be surprised how many people just die by accident either because they let go on hook or because the other survivors don't bother to save them, even though I'm literally on the other side of the map, so I'd say I'm somewhere between 10-20%.

    Same

Ok.... So here are a few things

Those things make you make more mistakes

So ending up with a kill no matter how you get it done means you did good

It also means you need to be aware of what might happen in the pre match lobby... you can see if they have Item or switch to them

Calling everyone Toxic is wrong... Some Survivors again do it to get you to make more mistakes... You need to realize that and not get upset when it does happen... as a matter of fact do it right back at them... Nod your head for every hit you get every down you get and every hook you get (if it is happening to you)

I repeat myself in this thread, just the attempt to induce a negative emotional state in your opponent is a dick move and you hint at the approach "an eye for an eye" and I tell you "and the world goes blind" aka at some point no one will want to play with toxic, taunting jerks anymore.

I just cant i got tired of this you know if you tunnel and camp most of the times you will get some salt in chat wich is not big deal just read post all of it from start to end and you will understand i need to go have a nice day 😌

Ah nice Strawman. I already told you i don't camp and tunnel. Heck i even try to avoid kills.

But hey your only argument is that tryharding births toxicity and have no argument for when that's not case.

I love this argument that the word "competitive" always has to mean eSports nowadays. Even a tug-of-war during a school sports festival is a competition and so is two sides of real players working for opposing goals.

Some becomes competitive as soon as people can get into a competitive mindset. Hell people can even become competitive in Mario party which even has the word party in it's name.

DBD is not a casual party game as long as the 5th player isn't part of the party side.

But sure i see you won't change your mind and I won't mine. And hey you should keep a low profile now seeing as you got already jailed over this thread.

Ok you dont have to say to me but still why would you care if you do care? Take a photo make a ticket report to behavior if report dont work in game and end of story you are making it like they tell him all of that but his photo says all and there is nothing that bad like you make it

Do you know how the survivor behaved during the trial?

Roughly 20k points on each of the escaped shows me that, while the op may have camped the first, they pretty much outclassed the op and had enough leeway to stall the game and taunt around being obnoxious like i know survivor can be to derive their "fun" out of from my experience.

Also about the point of caring? Do player in a competitive sport not react to for example getting flipped off by the Opposition and isn't said action not even sanctioned by commits in public sports?

Why do such rules only apply when i can see my opponent when their actions speak the same language here?

And about reporting, you should know just as much as me that reporting for in-game taunting and bullying is at most a placebo and leads to nothing.

Again, just talking this matter down helps no one and remains a real problem. In my mind especially with the upbringing and state of mind of the offenders. Just because it is anonymous and fun for them doesn't justify being an ass.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2876503#Comment_2876503

That is not true i played against many squads that "bully" people just have fun your reactions make them toxic in end game chat i had most friendly chats because i'm always chill no matter what they do in game 🙂

    My reaction or actions?

I play for survivor as friendly killer. I leave hooks immediately, ignore freshly unhooked survivor (even when they run into my face) and slug only those at death hook and only one at the same time.

Still a pvp game. And I guess i don't have to tell you how low people can go when they now they are anonymous and free of persecution.

  • @eaebree said:

That is not being toxic just a good strategy by getting mad you start to play worse and that works for survivors its just a game

Ah yes and trying to induce a negative emotional state in others is such a noble thing to do. Also good luck for the next lobby of survivor that can reap what the previous sowed.

    @eaebree said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2876333#Comment_2876333

Well i dont speak about end game chat that is something else as a killer main i like getting mix of everything not genrushed all the time sabo squads head ons are funny when they get you clicky is little anoying tbag is sweet and that is it if you get mad that is your problem you are taking a game to serious

Also humans in general are still empathetic being that pick up on others intentions.

I know from experience but telling the bullied to just take it and ignore it doesn't really work out in most cases.

The negative emotion bottles up until it bursts out in something ugly.

But hey as long as survivor have fun. Even when you play nice you can only expect further taunting or indifference from them, instead of being grateful for non camping, tunneling or slugging since those are "toxic". (Hint: They aren't always. It's just the most efficient strategy now.)

  • @Tanadris said:

Game needs to last at least 8 mins; Chases need to last less than 45 seconds with a hit; Need at least 11 Hooks; need at least 20 weapon hits.

If you nail all these criteria, you will get merciless killer every time.

    Hope this helps.

    Meanwhile survivor adept: get out.

At least killer adepts got easier thanks to grades and their full monthly reset.

Imagine it would depend still on something like a certain amount MMR increase.

You definitely know it's a necro when there's a trusted icon on a post

And this thread has even been revived twice.

And both times by people with this necromancy still being their ONLY post.

  • And how is that supposed to be happening?

One can play with friends, chat and even complain to each other how much of a jerk the opposition is.

The other is all alone and too busy trying to keep up the pressure in non stop hurry.

One can be a hangout, the other a chore.

I don't see how you make them equally fun.

And moreover the devs have announced in the past that the more draining nature of the killer role is even as intentional as some of the aggressive after game chat. They called it competitive banter or something. (Citation needed)

Maybe read what i was answering to.

    It holds some context.

Hint "killers win the majority of their games"

The best thing is they commented on another post from sluzzy, mentioning imaginary kill rates "way above 50%", a little bit later themselves.

And completely ignoring the Killrate statement there.

    What is “giving contra”?

Also, just because you have a problem with me agreeing with someone doesn’t mean I “can’t stop” commenting. That’s what the forums are for right?

The difference is that I think before I post. So for instance posting about the devs “catering” to survivors more when they are just about to drop an update which gives the killer side buffs, seems pointless and silly.

What that tells me is either you just don’t care about the facts or you are just more concerned about arguing regardless of the changes.

What i mean by "giving contra" is calling posts and comment out for being obviously whiny or biased without any further substance. It's just redundant. People that aren't biased already know it and those that don't won't care either way if you post your unconstructive calling out the obvious or not.

And in this case especially i aimed at your wording "it will never stop" and the irony that neither will you or the other mentioned people stop calling out the obvious. The biased posters will never change their ways because you call them out on it but i don't see you stopping your fruitless endeavor either.

Just like i think that repestedly commenting in sluzzies rambles "oh sluzzy" or that they must be trolling in every of their posts, just for the sake of it and hoping to deter them from posting the same over the top stuff again and again, which some people really do repeatedly instead of just ignoring those posts.

All it gives is hundreds of comments worth of attention to something that could easily just be ignored which would be far more efficient.

And yes in this case i didn't care about the facts and focused more on behaviour and the irony, just like my comments weren't even remotely aimed at the topic.

(I don't know if i get my point across with this as i write it just after getting up still drowsy and as a non native speaker, but truth to be told i don't really care at this point.)
