Then don't let people ######### go.
If you hold the door for someone and they don't say thank you do you confront them? Or do you just move on with your life?

There's nothing on the official YT channel. This must be fake..? Good effort though
Somebody went through an immense amount of effort to fake these. They even hired the voice actor and artists from the actual game! Incredible
-
The Entity forces me to.
-
Voice chat? Yes it's ok. You will not be banned for using voice chat.
-
You just look and listen, there's really nothing to it. Repair gens from angles where you can see better and/or are harder to grab from.

I honestly would love them to adjust or completely overhaul some of the older Survivor perks no one uses because they're too niche or next to useless. (looking at you Dark Sense, Deja Vu, Boil Over, This is Not Happening, and more!)
Also PTB would be a great place to test changes to OoO and their ilk.
Yeah that's exactly what I'm talking about and would love to see. I mean it must be hard to juggle re-working old perks with just straight up creating new ones because if an idea is really good I imagine they'd want the new survivor to have it.
It would also be nice to have a new perk that isn't tied to DLC. I think the last one was Thrill of the Hunt?

I hope the base kit perks will receive the similiar treatment like kindred. I would love to see a new meta perks for both sides 😍
Yes, please! Kindred pretty much doesn't leave my load out anymore as a solo survivor. Both sides could definitely use something nice to shake up the meta.

Okay, I'll give you a response.
Survivors don't need changes because holding M1 is already easy for them to do.
Happy?
Please just go troll somebody else and stop derailing my thread.

Maybe next mid chapter? Or perhaps in chapter 17? 🤔
I hope so! Like I said I don't need much but even a perk rework or buff would be nice.

I'm not here to argue but like....saying there's nothing for survivors this upcoming patch while simultaneously awaiting the Billy nerf is kind of a slap in the face of killer mains. Which is why you're getting the responses you're getting.
I'm just saying. No need to get offended by it.
So you're just refusing to respond to what I'm actually saying. Got it.

Bro what? It blatantly says I edited it at 4:57 PM and you commented at 5:49 PM. Where I live, that's almost an hour after my edit. Idk if time moves differently for you.
Also, nobody is offended but you ("slap in the face" lol). I just expect people to read.

How is it desperate? It was a nerf, to an already balanced killer, for survivors.

Valid point. Everyone who wanted Billy nerfed has only made it worse. Instead of having a killer that's fun to loop, and easy to deny their power, now they'll get endless Spirit's, Nurse's and Freddy's.
#HOPEITWASWORTHITKEKW
I said "There's nothing to look forward to *playing as survivor*"
I'm not sure if you're aware but you cannot play as Hillbilly as a survivor. I wasn't talking about buffs or nerfs, I was talking about new, tangible things you can try out as a survivor. Like item and add on changes, perk buffs, map changes, etc
Take a deep breath before your next knee jerk reaction, please.

@BigBrainMegMain said:
So I guess a Billy nerf isn't a survivor buff?
Feel free to comment again after you've actually read the post. Thank you.
-
Spoken like somebody who has never actually used unrelenting. It shaves off a fraction of a second. It's a very weak perk. It could be buffed to 50% and it still wouldn't be that great.
-
Okay, have fun!
-
@Yamaoka said:
Do we know for sure they'll not buff any values of some survivor perks when the patch goes live?
Not for 100% sure but have they added things after the PTB before? Like not just balance things they already changed in the PTB, but added NEW changes?
-
@SloppyKnockout said:
The unnecessary gutting of Hillbilly because of survivors who suck at looping one of the most fun to loop killers in the game wasn't "for survivors"?
k
LOL this is so desperate.
-
Settle down there, hoss!
-
True. And most killers think they are better than they are. So when they don't 4k it's not due to lack of skill, but the game being balanced against them.

I love how the devs will pop in to fight you about the game's player count, but they won't discuss what they're doing for the long-term health of the game.
That's an indication of their priorities.
Edit : didn't see their second post, never mind

Wouldn't you be able to tap, run for 10 seconds and tap again for another 10 second speedboost if it aplied to all healing
Not sure how powerfull that would be but that could be one reason for the change
You’d have to come to a complete stop mid chase with the killer lol. Even if that was a problem they could make it so you need 2-3 seconds of healing for it to activate
-
Oh, no you didn't 4k. The horror, the horror!
-
Good skill checks have no effect on gen progression. They simply prevent the explosion.
-
Spine Chill, Kindred, Bond and Detective's Hunch is my definitive solo build. Not that anybody asked.. 😎
-
Whispers can't be countered for one.
Since I always run Spine Chill I can often see that a killer running Discordance IMMEDIATELY looks in my direction the instant a second survivor hops on a gen. I make note of that and split up for future gens.
If the killer knows how to use Whispers correctly, it's very difficult to escape them.
Whispers excels in the beginning and end of a trial and with certain killers (Doctor, Trapper).
Discordance is best against not great survivors who bunch up on gens. If they all split up like they should then you may get zero use out of the perk.

Well damn, I thought it was the Upside Down Room, prob cuz my mind was mixing up quarantine and isolation. Esp as the actual room is more of a corridor of hallways with a gen in a closet lol.
Isolation Broom Closet doesn't have the same ring to it lol

Sorry 90% of the community and yes, even the DEVs would agree, that he is a fair and balanced killer.
Also very sorry you can't play against a balanced character bud.
Lol what a leap you took there. Awfully defensive. You don't even know my opinion of the changes. Nice try, tho.
-
Since they haven't released it yet I kind of doubt they will. Some of the questions on the most recent survey make me think they're going to experiment with how they release new content. For instance questions about perks or killer power being your favorite part of each new chapter. Instead of a traditional chapter (survivor, killer, 6 perks and a map), they're going to change things up. More chapters that are just killer or survivor, bigger focus on Legendary skins, maybe a new set of general perks not attached to any character at all, etc.
This is just my speculation and I could be way off but it's the vibe I've gotten.
-
Hatch escapes would just have less of an impact on someone's score. As would moris, I assume. Also, if you think EGC means hatch isn't necessary then that means you do not understand the purpose of the hatch to begin with.
-
I don't feel I've been outplayed, that's for sure. If I did 2+ totems I feel annoyed. If I did 3 or 4 I'm pretty frustrated, especially when I made it a point to search the entire map looking for them all.
I swear sometimes totems don't spawn or are invisible.
-
I am 100% in favor of this change so long as it applies to survivors, too. I may be a filthy survivor main but I know damn well people will abuse the last second switch to bring flashlights or their decked out p3 survivors. This will make it so you simply do not press the button to queue up until you have decided your load out completely. That's how it works in DBD mobile and it's just fine.

Yeah I can only see this leading to more lobby dodging and longer wait times.
Plus I got a good laugh out of "rank doesn't reflect skill and won't be used for matchmaking." So basically "we gave up trying to make matchmaking actually work and now we're just gonna tell you that the 20 rank difference in the post game is due to some magical secret matchmaking value and you should believe it's balanced now."
Then dodge the lobby, it has little to no effect on survivors because they stay together and get a new killer within seconds.

Sometimes it's hard to tell lol

They shouldn't listen anyone who would describe themselves as "oppressed" in a video game, for starters.
-
It would be amazing if they found a way to do it without performance taking a hit. It would add a nice variety to the maps.

They're going to give consoles crossplay. They just can't guarantee cross progression.

I know killers can be just as toxic but from my experience killers are rarely toxic while survivors are most of the games.
Yeah but you already said you only play survivor from time to time, plus there's one killer to 4 survivors so obviously you'll see way less toxic killers.
-
I don't think this is a mystery. What do survivors get out of a flashlight blind? Bloodpoints and challenge progress. You could stop right there and have your answer already but keep thinking for a second. What does blinding a killer do? Makes it so they can't see momentarily. That gives the survivor the opportunity to perform a juke of some kind. Is it the most efficient method? Generally no, but as others have said, with the right perks you can pull something off.
Also, why assume everyone knows how to be the most efficient? Maybe they don't know how long the blind is. Lack of efficiency goes both ways: I've often seen a killer get blinded at the pallet and then they just stand there completely still until the blind wears off.
The jump to the assumption that "it's obvious they just want to be toxic" that some have done in this thread is a bad attitude to have. Of course some people want to be "toxic," but most are doing it for any of the reasons listed above. But if you go out every match looking for toxicity then you're going to label some things toxic that aren't in reality.
-
He'll still be a good camper and a stronger killer overall so it may just get worse lol
-
32m head start? Even for killers with a 24m or less terror radius? Even with the multiple perks and add ons that decrease or get rid of the TR?
That's not how Prove Thyself works.
Survivors also experience deafening chase music and killers can hide their red stain either with perks, add ons, or simply mind gaming.
Kobe is 4%. Meaning it is heavily biased towards not unhooking yourself. Meaning killers benefit from that.
Hooks spawn EVERYWHERE. The only time you'll struggle to get to a hook is if you sacrificed 2 or 3 survivors in the same area. That's your fault. Even in that scenario.. you can slug and stand over them if you really need to.
Etc, etc
I guess I shouldn't be surprised that a post filled with misinformation has so many upvotes but I am.

As Tippy already pointed out, voting on maps would most likely result in playing survivor favoured maps most of the time, since there's four people playing survivor and one playing killer. Map voting doesn't work so well in an asymmetrical game.
What about a system like this..
- The killer's vote increases the percent of a map being chosen by 8%
- Each survivor's vote increases the percent by 2% up to a max of 8%
- The killer would benefit if the survivors disagreed on a map but only by a max of 6%
(OR the killer gets 4 votes worth 2% each and can distribute them however they want)

Stick with it. There's a ton to learn in this, and that just takes a bunch of experience. I'm a Killer main, and it took me a while to come to grips with a lot of the more subtle aspects of the game. I had a strong motivation though... I have to understand these things to do my work! :D
But seriously, I still find playing Killer a lot of fun after all this time. Just keep at it.
😱 I thought all the devs were survivor mains 😱
-
Probably because the majority of people who would buy this game either have or would rather buy it for PC or console. Giving the Stadia version a few exclusive features may encourage people to buy another copy or sway some newcomers to get it for Stadia.
I can't imagine any other reason this would be exclusive.
-
I find it a little suspicious that the first two people sharing their results screen screenshots have conveniently cropped out... the results. 🤔

I think this is now he said she said which doesn't take us anywhere. It's not the first time devs have said something and then change their words. For instance MM addons which increased the tier 3 time, where addon description specifically said that it will only take longer to reach tier 3 the FIRST time. And people called out peanits for saying it is a bug when addon function and description remained the same for years literally. Also they called killer seeing hooked survivor auras "bug" after they removed it and later reverted it again.
Anyways many people think Decisive strike is poorly designed perk currently which could be changed to be actual anti tunneling perk while still remaining strong. Devs always preach how they think players should work to make perks do something. There is literally no reguirements for DS. Get hooked, gain 60 second immunity 2x to do what ever you like. I think it should de-activate if you touch a generator or/ and get fully healed.
You're right that we won't get anywhere so we can agree to disagree.
On your second point, I'm ok with repairing gens disabling DS but not healing. Especially with quick healing builds (We'll Make It, Botany) and the syringe. A killer with a one hit down power or perk, which are already powerful, would become even more powerful.

DECISIVE STRIKE Q&A WITH HORVATH | FEBRUARY 22, 2019
Today we did a Q&A session on discord with Stefan Horvath about the upcoming changes on Decisive Strike.
So here are below the answers given by our Game Designer/Stefan Horvath.
QUESTION: WHAT LED TO THE DECISION TO PUT THE TIMER ON DECISIVE STRIKE?
-------------------------Horvath: We decided to put a timer on Decisive Strike as one of the solutions to Decisive Strike being used too often, we tried 2 minutes internally and found that players were able to use DS a long time after being unhooked, where it no longer serves the purpose to protect you from being tunneled/ farmed----------------------"
Right and my quote from peanits comes after that. Horvath is also saying that the original 2 minute timer went way too far beyond anti tunneling, not that it should be ONLY anti tunneling. Also in the quote he says "tunneled or farmed." That right there shows it's not strictly anti tunnel.
