I need to win faster!!

You have way too much time on your hands. And I say that as someone with way too much time on my hands.

The distinct P3 reward will be given to those who've reached P3 prior to the update going live...they must have actually reached P3 on their character/s prior. Whilst yes we are taking consideration into those who've not P3'd and got all perks (as explained in the blog post here: https://news.deadbydaylight.com/en/news/Prestige_Progression ) that is separate to the "distinct reward".
The reward is not going to be a cosmetic item - it's not the return of Legacy, I want to manage players expectations around that right now. As soon as I can go into details about what players will receive, I will be more than happy to, but just want to confirm that this will not be a clothing/charm item.
Sounds like a character portrait border maybe?

The "Stranger Things is coming back!" people are rapidly reaching FNaF fans status

Annoying. Planned my lunch to watch it at 1. Got Bhvr'd instead.

Really negative right off the rip, huh?
Some people can't help it unfortunately :/

Where's the fire?

The bp cap should be raised but I don't understand why you can't simply spend like 50k BP on whatever, play until you get close to the cap again, and then spend 50k more, etc. Like I understand that shouldn't be necessary but you said you're literally refusing to play the game because you're capped. If you really wanted to play I'm sure you'd just do what I'm suggesting.

The difference is that the Netease-Version is not operated by BHVR. The game might be called "Dead by Daylight", but you can think of it as a different game.
But Bhvr sold it to them (Idk the exact word) and would have to know that they would be creating their own skins.
-
Remember when the devs said there would be no more exclusives? I do.

How do you know its just a handful? I know a lot of people who hold similar views who don't talk about the game on forums and social media.
I have no idea how many people think this, I'm sure many do. But this was written by one person and upvoted by a few dozen more. Acting like it somehow represents the South Korean community in its entirety is disingenuous (and that's what the title implies). It would be like taking a post from this forum that has 45 upvotes and acting as if it speaks for all of us
-
This is what a handful of South Korean people think**
-
Why does it matter? Survivors are skins
-
No.
-
They're not gonna "gut" all meta perks, my dude.
For me it is a huge grind reduction.

At least someone see's this company for what it truly is.
Yeah you guys are very unique and special. You're not two among many who spend their time visiting forums of games they hate because they have nothing better to do with their time.
-
Every trial is almost guaranteed to have exhaustion perks, the vast majority of the time all 4 survivors will have one. But if a survivor doesn't, then the killer already has a huge advantage.
It is absolutely not a "design flaw."
-
Nice work. I love reading people's stats.
-
Would be nice to be a little faster or have more double XP events. Daily rituals could award XP too!
-
I have the ability to own and switch back and forth between more than one game at a time. No, I will not teach you how.
-
I've noticed portraits flashing and didn't know what it meant. I thought maybe that they were healing or being chased but I never saw anything about that in the patch notes. Would be a huge oversight. So I figure it's just a glitch?
-
Fine but also make WGLF, Unbreakable, Iron Will, DS and Dead Hard basekit.
And just for balance sake, cause I know a lot of killers are gonna cry about devs favoring survivors, we can make Unrelenting basekit.

By far the most fun to verse, always. Build is irrelevant, facing Nurse is inherently fun.
Do you get paid by the DBD Nurses Union? You work hard to spread the message of how perfect Nurse is.
-
Wish you got a screenshot of the skill check. But I might try this build, sounds kinda fun!
-
You know, if you don't think a killer is good you can choose not to main him. Honestly, I think some people want to be frustrated at the game so they purposely go out of there way to make weak killers (who have never been strong) their identity. I cannot imagine feeling "crazy/stressed" about a character and saying "Yup, this is who I want to devote all my time playing."
-
Nope.

Cool?

How close can he get? Like could you feasibly open the exit gate without triggering the trap? If so that's BS
-
Nurse is absolutely perfect, best designed killer EVER. The biggest, most beautiful killer you've ever seen! You honestly wouldn't believe how incredibly well designed she is unless you see it for yourself. And everybody loves her too.

We have like 4. Ash, Bill, Tapp, Ace
Bill is the only one I would consider an "old man." The others are older, sure. But op said Granny.
-
I mean there's one old man.
-
I personally don't sit around making up things in my head about a video game to worry about, but that's just me.

No.

Kicking the Generator is worthless, especially when it can get tapped mid-chase for less than 1 seconds to stop the regression.
The Killer can't do anything if they reach a Generator that's ~90%, Survivors don't have anything like that, unless they made a huge mistake prior into the match
Tbh I'm not going to continue to argue with you. You think it's unfair that survivors can complete gens. It literally makes zero sense.

Finishing a Generator is fair, doing it in the Killer's face isn't, as it's a lose-lose for the Killer.
Hit the Survivor, lose the Generator, kick the Generator and let it regress slowly and lose the Survivor, only to lose the Generator a few moments later.
PGTW is one of the few Perks that actually counters it, and is basically a bandaid fix
That's because the killer got to the gen too late. It's completely "fair." You can also kick a gen and still find a survivor. I don't think you're using the term fair correctly here.
-
@ThatOneDemoPlayer said:
It's not toxic, but it also isn't fair imo
It's not fair to finish a gen?

Over the last several months I've probably seen both a handful of times. Not often at all.

I think the problem is that since legion just got reworked you see a lot of them and it's easier to focus on just how annoying and boring legion is to go against even though it was already before.
This. Thank you.
-
Lmao you clearly don't play solo queue very often if your survivor games are "chill"
-
I've seen them a couple times. Can't say I mind that they're not being played a lot. I'm sure it'll ramp up a little as we progress through the tome, though. The challenges will take more trials to complete
-
This tournament was a joke. Yes DBD has its problems but acting like the organization of this tournament wasn't a complete farce is laughable
-
You generally have to play more than a few games to form a solid opinion. I could have three good games in a row followed by 10 bad ones.
-
Come on in, the water's fine!

Sort of an ironic troll - someone who says outrageous or ridiculous stuff as a parody of the other side, in the hopes that it gets taken literally and earns support by the extreme fringes of that side.
Ah okay, thank you!

What energy?
Thus far I've seen a tiny handful of people trying to be edgy, one obvious Poe and a few people asking why they didn't just make a new character - as much from a 'do more BHVR' standpoint as a 'my headcanon is that David was straight' perspective. I think that the vast majority of people went 'oh, okay' and got back to not caring at all about the lore.
I need to paraphrase this as a universal law of internet forums:
What is a Poe?

@Mooks said:
straight relationships are actually mentioned way more often than people give it credit for:
Nurse and her husband
Frank and Julie in their tome lore (which was on the edge of being disgusting and definitely being shoved down our throats)
David having had a girlfriend (turns out he is not straight, but that was still a heterosexual relationship in the lore)
Felix and his pregnant wife
Oni is the direct ancestor of Spirit thus implied to have had a wife
Dwight having a crush on a female coworker (though admittedly this one is pretty low on the list)
Ace referred to as womanizer no some cosmetics
Wraith and Nurse having (romantically) implied cosmetics/texts
other characters in lore:
multiple parents explicitly stated as father and mother (Jake, David, Spirit, Trapper (not sure about his mother mentioned), Hillbilly, Meg (pretty sure her father is mentioned), for others I guess it’s mostly one parent mentioned and thus not explicitly heterosexual)
Pretty sure other relationships in tome/background stories (shout out to the one gay relationship in one of Haddies story’s i think - which didn’t get any further announcement by BHVR)
all of these weren’t necessary and could have been told the exact same way without mentioning the genders/pronouns explicitly while still telling the same story. Except for David as they apparently gave a reason for why he had a girlfriend and they were telling a coherent story.
Take Yui as another example: in her tome lore an ex partner is mentioned, but only by name and not by gender/pronoun. This was actually pretty well and subtly done.
as for that big news from BHVR regarding David being gay: can you guys show me where that is? All I have seen is a twitter tweet with a (admittedly rather big) text on their website which you have to go out of your way of to read. Which is also kinda a response to their announcement from (two!) years ago and a response to those (including me) who criticized them for not delivering (sooner).
was there an in-game announcement, dev stream, YouTube video or even in-game event that i missed?? Please I wanna see that BIG announcement!
also: they never turned David gay or changed him in any way. They told a story about a struggle in his life he had to overcome regarding himself and his parents - I haven’t read it yet but from what I have been told it’s well written and not in any way retconning anything but tying past mentions like his ex girlfriend and his rough relationship with his parents together and actually making it an even more believable story.
Great post <3 someone did their homework

Lol

When a killer hits me mid-glyph I know he's a troll
-
It's hit or miss. Most games seem to be survivors stomp or survivors get stomped. Very few of my games end with 2 kills/2 escapes.
-
Not often. Maybe once or twice a month. Sometimes more, sometimes less.
