Right now it's 100% a killer perk. Your teammates will be on a gen making no progress on it for about 30 seconds just to get instantly hit and lose all their saved up tokens.
You'll also get teammates hopping on a gen with you giving you a 15% speed penalty while they try to earn tokens. It's like free thana for killers.

I haven't noticed more pallets when in a public match. Could it be bot mode gives more pallets for practice? I haven't seen video from public match, just people in custom going around.

Like always prove alone is not the problem just like cob isn't a problem alone. But when a killer brings a full Gen build or when multiple survivor bring gens builds it gets ridiculous no matter wich side does it. And the biggest problem is you can counter it if you bring a Gen build yourself but the game people complain about are the game where only one side has a strong Gen build.
I think bhvr should just start to make perk categories so you can't stack to many gen perks and everything would be fine
My comment was more so because they said they're having issues with multiple survivors running prove thy self in a match. Alot think prove can be stacked or increases the base speed like Resilience when really its just getting rid of a speed penalty. Also my comment was to give a suggestion to counter it if they have alot of survivors teaming up on gens.
Many times when it's a full build that's targeting one thing it becomes a problem to face, especially if your build was to target countering one thing and the opposing team decided to go with something else. I'd love for them to cap gen speeds and slowdowns/regression to limit the stacking - doesn't help though that they have a ridiculous amount of perks that rely on stacking or else they're useless on their own.

They're relatively confident Molly has nothing (she was kept away from the kittens because they had gotten it over the summer. They told me they thought it was done with as no symptoms appeared again but last week two of them got rashes again). They said what you said, just make sure to wash my hands good if I interact with Molly just to be safe.
But either way I planned on keeping them separate for a week to make sure they adjust fine. Following my boy Jackson Galaxy's "how to introduce cats" video to make it as smooth as possible. In fact...

Yummy food, right Holly? And you smell Molly, right!?! See, when you smell Molly, you smell good things too so Molly must be good!!!
Hopefully Molly warms up quick and doesn't have anything so you can get her and Holly together.
Also it's going to be awkward if whenever Holly smells Molly she gets hungry because she associates Molly's smell with food π

She's still hiding. Though granted I have mostly left her alone and not tried to interact with her yet. I go in and talk with her when I'm going in there to feed her and take out stinkies from the litter box (she's eating and there were stinkies so that's great, it took Holly like 4 days before she started eating).
Holly keeps trying to sneak in with me when I go in there so I'm more and more confident there won't be issues between them.
However the kittens that were with Molly they said have a fungal infection. They told me Molly did not show any infection but they want me to keep her quarantined for a week and check her to see if anything develops. If she does develop anything, the agency will cover the meds and it's not something that would hurt or kill her if she is sick but it's super uncomfortable for them (causes rashes and scabs and hair loss) so I want to make sure Holly doesn't get it if Molly has something.
Sounds like ringworm. The rescue that partnered with the petshop I worked at talked about how it is pretty common in kittens that are rescued. Pretty much just some anti-fungal lotion you put on the spots and like keep where they live clean - wash bedding frequently, wipe down surfaces she's around, fully change litter more often, etc. Not a big deal, just takes some effort.
At the petshop we'd get Guinea Pigs with it, we'd just apply jock itch cream we picked up at CVS twice a day and it'd clear up after a week. People can catch it though so if kitty does have it be careful you don't catch it from her - just wash your hands a bunch and you should be fine. Girl at my work caught it on her face after snuggling one of the Guinea Pigs before it showed signs of it. π

Interesting cause from my experience I would always have trouble with multiple prove thy selfs. Well for most of the time it would depend on what type of survivors Iβm facing too. I also know everyone has different experiences and thatβs okay.
But anyway I thought fogwise and potentially would be a problem according to some others. I was just misinformed by the information I read and also watched from videos on YouTube.
Prove Thy Self doesn't stack. All it does is remove the speed penalty from survivors working on a gen together so if you have 2 survivors running Prove Thy Self on the same gen it's going the same speed as it would if only one of them ran it. While that one gen will be done faster than 90 seconds it's still not as efficient as the survivors splitting up and working on separate gens - it's why the bar is still red when there's 2 survivors on the gen even while running Prove Thy Self.
If you're having problems with Prove Thy Self run Discordance. You'll see whenever survivors are on a gen together so will know where to go - also know theres another survivor near the gen waiting to finish it if you chase one off.
-
Probably one of the "blind killer x times" challenges. If they can't do their challenge they just move onto next match.
-
I feel like since the midchapter patch this summer there's been an increase of the game just randomly disconnecting me. I'll test my internet and it's running great so know that's not the problem.
Just the other day my swf teammate was randomly disconnected when we were in a match - he could see the killers load out on the end game screen too which was weird. I'm sure from the perspective of the killer/other survivors it looked like he quit on first down but the game was what disconnected him.
I've also been getting a crazy amount of "unknown errors" and "disconnected from host" when I'm in lobbies or the end game screen. Just randomly will be kicked back to the main menu. I've had a ton of killers DC when they're winning - a bunch not long after the first sacrifice.
While I'm sure there's plenty of rage quits I do think the increase lately is more from the game itself than it is actual quitters.
-
Whenever I see the killer incentive it's only there for an hour at most, usually it's gone by the time I finally find a match and complete it. The waits are always longer than survivor side too.
It feels like they just randomly throw on the killer incentive for short intervals so it's not always on survivor. π

I'm mostly confident it'll be fine. I've done a lot of reading on how to introduce cats (put new cat in closed room so they get comfortable, feed the two cats on each side of the door so they smell each other with food so good association, do a scent swap where after a few days give Olive Holly's blanket and vice versa so they get used to each other's smell, and both are female, which usually they're less territorial).
Olive has been with kittens that weren't hers and Holly hasn't shown aggression when the Orange outside cat has been right outside her window so I'm mostly confident we'll get this to work. The agency also slashed her adoption price since I jumped in right away to help them out ($300 to $150) so that's cool. Except for a second food bowl, I already have everything I need (though I'll get Olive a few toys of her own) to make this work. Hopefully by December we'll be getting Double Trouble pics in the thread :D
My only concern now is how to feed them both. I do "meals" rather than keep food out but Holly routinely doesn't finish her food in one sitting. Maybe it'll be a moot point...
It's definitely harder with 2 cats, especially if one is a grazer and the other eats everything in sight. If it ends out being Olive eats her food plus whatever Holly doesn't finish you could try adjusting their feeding schedule to see if instead of 2 meals a day doing it as 3 meals. So like if you do 1/2 can of food (or equivalent dry food amount) for breakfast and second 1/2 at dinner instead do 1/3 at breakfast, 1/3 at lunch, and 1/3 at dinner. Kitties getting same amount but the smaller servings lessen the odds of them not finishing their meals.
-
All. The. Time.
My dog for variety of reasons but the most common is she wants to get under a blanket and snuggle next to me. She will paw at my arm/hand until I lift the blanket and hold it up while she slowly moves under and does a few circles before FINALLY laying down. If it's around her lunch or dinner she will sit in front of my whining, pawing, and trying to hit the controller out of my hand until I stop playing and feed her.
My old cat used to want snuggles and would rub his head against the controller until I would start petting him. He would also sit directly in front of the TV to block view when he wanted my full attention.
When I lived with my brother his cat would attack the headset wire that would be against/near my body and that would lead to his sharp kitty claws going into my body when he'd attack the wire. Wicked hard to pay attention to a chase when getting stabbed in real life.
-
Did you have a 4k? There's currently a bug in the game where if you get a 4k it doesn't count the last sacrifice so if you killed your last 2 survivors during EGC the bug made it so you last kill didn't count.

That's what I said! I would have assumed someone trapping strays would ADORE cats and their problem would be not giving them up for adoption when they really should, not being pissy that they have to keep some cats because they can't find an agency to release them to...
I'm not sure how it works here when there's no room. The place I go to is a No Kill shelter so if they run out of room and someone forces a cat on them, I don't know how they'd handle it. We're in the northern part of The US so right now it's 17F/-8C so I'm not sure having an "outdoor cat area" would be all that practical, though I suppose some cheap shelter outside and a known food source is better than no shelter outside.
I also did not meet Holly until the day I went to the adoption place to get her. I had gone to the adoption place to look at Roo, one of Holly's kittens but I didn't take Roo (I can't even remember what the reason was but I know I could have and didn't). Holly was "there" but she was hiding in the cage so I never actually saw her or interacted with her. After talking with the agency more about what I wanted, they were the ones who suggested Holly and I just took her home on that second trip.
The only concern I have with Olive is making sure she and Holly get along. I don't need them to be best of buds or anything like that, I just need to be sure they're fine co-existing together. As long as that happens, I imagine I will be keeping Olive for myself and actually adopting her.
I wonder if she's the type that gets mad about cats eating birds so less about helping the cats and more about getting them away from the birds. Would explain the being pissed about having cats in her house.
The go to shelter box I see places use is basically a plastic storage container inside a bigger one with hay for insulation between them and some hay inside for padding/extra warmth. It's cheap to make but keeps the kitties warm and out of the elements. I'm in New England and it's the like go to for the rescues in areas where there are cat colonies to help the kitties when it's cold out until they can catch them.
As long as you take it slow introducing them I'm sure they'll warm up to eachother. If the kitties seem to be having trouble relaxing around eachother they sell diffusers that release pheromones to chill out cats - there's one specifically for multi-cat households where the cats may not be super thrilled with eachother.

Well that escalated quickly.Β I guess the foster parent who has Olive is super unhappy that they have a foster cat (which is super strange to me because why are you a foster parent for a cat if you don't want a cat but maybe there's more to this story than I know) and have been very uncooperative with the organization with letting people meet the animals.Β So I'm going to meet and almost certainly take Olive home tomorrow.
The agency said I can be considered a "Foster" owner until we know for sure it'll work. If it works out, I can just adopt her and if it's not working out, I will foster the cat until they can find a new owner cause I have no desire to make a cat stay at a home if the home owner doesn't want them there.
Such a weird attitude to have when she's going out of her way to trap the cats in the first place. If not willing to keep the cats then work with a rescue that does the catch, spay/neuter, release and then set up outdoor area for the cats like the cheap boxes for them to get them out of the elements and a lime food/water station. That's what places do when they can't take in the cats (limited room at shelter/limited fosters).
I didn't meet my kitties before I took them. The foster didn't want randoms in her house (don't blame her, totally understandable) and based on the cats temperament (mainly Dante) figured it'd be alot of unnecessary stress since unless the cats just like HATED us we were going to give them a home. It is good to do foster incase kitties don't get along.

CHEGADAS
NOVAS
CELEBRANDO
As long as you're giving Holly plenty of attention I'm sure she's super happy being only kitty to be spoiled by you.
My last cat loved being an only cat because he got all the snuggles with me and didn't have to share. Like here, he was using my arm as pillow lying with me on the couch watching TV. π

I'd rather just have the gen get blocked instead of merciless storm skill checks and then blocked.
-
I haven't seen an AFK from start to finish killer in a long time. Only time I see a killer go AFK now is if they feel the match is unwinnable or some random has bullied them to the point they don't want to play. I have seen killers completely ignore survivors while they move around the map looking for a purple or red glyph or after doing a couple hooks and they are looking for their green glyph, which I totally understand because those things can be annoying to find and you just want to make sure you get it before the match is over. π
-
The players reporting need to send down video proof for anything to be done. An actual person watches the videos, it's not a computer deciding. If you weren't hacking you don't need to worry.
I've never seen a complaint of "I was banned for hacking even though I wasn't" but I have seen many complaints of "I reported a blantant hacker flying through the sky and they're still playing."

Thanks, here's my kitties playing.

Holly was making the weirdest freaking noises a few weeks ago and I had no idea why. I'd never heard her make that noise (it was kind of a combo chitter and a yowl) so I went to investigate...
There is an orange cat that I've seen outside a number of times and evidently that day it decided to sit right at the stairs of my deck. Holly was chittering at the orange kitty.
Our kitties have just started meowing around us. At first it was timid and now it's demanding. π
It's Darryl staring at Ghost Kitty and normally he's pretty relaxed but he was super tense staring at it. We call it Ghost Kitty not only because it's all white but because it's the only kitty that when my dog sees it the hair on her back stands up and she goes completely still watching it like it's a ghost. Only kitty she does that with, normally she's super excited when she sees a kitty and wants to be it's BFF. π

I'm hoping they don't continue the partnership with Prime.
They set high expectations giving out full nice cosmetics but then gave us a charm. Then they gave us couple more nice full cosmetics giving us hope the charm was a fluke only to give us a repeat rift cosmetic that if you already owned from playing the game you couldn't use the code at all or get some other compensation - and that cosmetic should've gone to the store not be a prime reward.
Then we got a small amount of BP because I guess they probably planned another repeat rift cosmetic but after backlash realized that wouldn't be best idea.
Now the two "artifact" cosmetics that are a single piece. Trickster cool for what it is but definitely feels lacking when before we were getting full cosmetics. This Legion Knife though... Not only is it just a recolor of the default cosmetic but it's so tiny, you really don't notice it in game unless the killer is standing still in front of you - also if doing a recolor why not recolor the full outfit that players actually see in game?
It feels like they just don't care enough to put in the effort to make it worthwhile to do the prime partnership. At this point if they aren't going to put in worthwhile cosmetics then give us enough shards to get a full cosmetic of our choice in the shop. If afraid people will use the shards on characters instead maybe have a "special" currency for cosmetics giveaways where you can use like 1 Maurice Horse Shoe to get a full purple cosmetic. π
-
His wonky reveal is terrible. I was hoping they'd fix it when they worked on him but it actually feels way worse/inconsistent than it did before.
-
They should remove the incapacitated effect, it's just too much on top of everything else the perk already does.
Its cooldown lasts as long as the incapacitated effect so by time you can use it again the survivors have just barely been able to do anything, you see the aura of which gens will be hit so you know where a survivor will likely be when it goes off, you don't even need to be near the gens like you do Jolt, it does 10% damage, and it allows you to avoid perks like Blastmine or spending time going over to kick a gen.
If they won't remove the incapacitated effect then make it so you need to be near generators so there is a counter to the perk.
-

You get a nifty looking red circle around your prestige level to let everyone know not only do you love DBD but this is your favorite character. No longer wasting 20k BP just to prestige instead you get constant level 50 bloodwebs with better items/add ons. The pride in knowing you've played your favorite game and earned enough BP to get your character to prestige 100.

Plus wasn't it the plague outfit we got a couple of months ago as a prime reward recolor in this rift as well?
Plague skin that was originally a rift cosmetic so if you earned it playing the game you couldn't redeem your prime code and got nothing to compensate for it. Everyone said "could've atleast recolored it" so that's what BHVR did, and put it back in the rift.
-
Basekit Shadowborn but as FOV slider for accessibility.
Basekit Whispers but requires no interactions with any survivors after 90 seconds, doesn't activate if survivors are slugged/hooked, and doesn't activate on last survivor. Helps killer out if survivors are just hiding/locker hopping not doing anything except dragging out the game. Doesn't help killer camping or slugging for 4k or guarantee last survivors death - run the perk if you want more help in those situations.
-
@Seraphor said:
Quick question: I grabbed the code for last months, however I haven't entered it on DBD yet. Is it still available or does the code become invalid?
The way they usually do it is you have a month to claim the code from Prime and then you have an additional month to use the code. Like this current code for Legion you can claim until Dec 14 but the code itself doesn't expire until Jan 14.
-
They said they need to make some tweaks from the feedback they got from when it was in the PTB and test those changes in another PTB. Until they put it in another PTB I wouldn't expect them to just throw it into a live patch.
-
Not interested.
I'll probably end up getting the survivor with shards if there's tome challenges requiring using him/his perks or if they do a sale like they did during the anniversary where original characters were 50% off using shards. His perks on their own don't interest me and I'd rather play the lesser used characters that rarely get cosmetics in hopes to increase their usage over a pretty faced one that will probably get plenty of cosmetics.
Killer I'll probably pick up if there's a sale using shards but his power doesn't interest me enough to use him over the killers I already enjoy playing.
-
Whether or not they deserve it it is working with the killer. While it's DEFINITELY frustrating and makes you want to rat out the other player, depending on how it's done it can backfire on the one that's the tattle tail. If they report you and send down video to support it's going to only be their POV of you working with the killer not your POV of them just hiding.
-
I check around map for any pallets/breakable walls I may have missed for some extra BP, if it's one survivor I try to find/close hatch for extra BP. If I'm playing distance killer where I suck with aim I use it as opportunity to practice. If I want it to end quickly though I just push them out.
-
They should remove the negative pip and just have 0, +1, +2.
It's not used for matchmaking so the negative pip is unnecessary.
Devs said grades represent time played, I'm not putting in negative time.
A 0 pip for "not doing enough" to pip does the trick just fine, no need to lose pips too. If I'm downed/camped out first I've already had an unfun match, the negative pip on top just makes me want to go play something else. If I get multiple negative pips in a row I turn off the game. Losing progress while playing doesn't encourage me to keep playing - it encourages me to shut off the game and go play something else.
Many players have said they play sweatier builds just to avoid the negative pips, once they're Iri 1 they play more random and fun builds. If devs want more variety like they claim then removing negative pips would help because it would remove the worry of losing a pip due to not playing a meta/sweaty build.

most likely you have to reselect the challenge again and then it works flawless
This. This recent level I've had to do this for multiple challenges because they just won't progress. It's wicked obnoxious.
-
I've been having the same issue when I play survivor solo. I have crazy high ping while rest of the players in my lobby have normal ping. I'll test my internet after the match and see it is fine. The only explanation is I'm getting thrown into a server I shouldn't be in. I'd rather take longer to find a match (or be told there's no match available) than waste my time getting thrown into a server where I'm lagging and my ping is way off from everyone else.
-
I've said this a few times now when it comes to map offerings.
First add a great height to all maps OR remove the "fall from great height" challenges.
Second make it so the whatever realm the players had in their last match is guaranteed to not be an option for their next match to stop back to back matches in the same realm.
Once those two changes are made they can then make map offerings guarantee you won't be sent to a map instead of increasing your odds to go to a map. Then change the sacrificial ward to cancel map vetos. There's like 20 realms, can have 10 removed from the selection from match to match.
-
Who is to blame? BHVR for the poor hook RNG on that map.
-
@Mandy said:
They have been removed - it's part of our bloodweb improvements, so this is not a bug (I will go ahead and respond on the bug report to make it clear there also).
Will definitely be watching for feedback on this - so feel free to let me have it!
If it skipped the pop up/prompt it would be fine but I'll definitely take no mystery box if it requires the pop up/prompt every time.
-
They should be destroyed for a limited time, make it 3 minutes like if a survivor was running Breakdown. Then buff Hangmans Trick to do what it used to do and bring back hooks faster.
3 minutes is long enough that it will make killers still need to consider risking a temporary dead zone (or temporarily be without a scourge hook) by sacrificing survivors on a specific hook BUT there's no permanent dead zone/removal of scourge hook.
They do need to fix hook placements and this has been an issue for a long time. Either there is no hook just from the crappy RNG or when they put a hook to fix that issue it comes with problem that the survivors can't unhook because either they can only unhook from one side which the killer can just block or are in an area the killer can block the survivors from reaching the hook (like a room with single doorway or upstairs with narrow stair case). They need to fix hook placement so there's hooks available for the killer and survivors are able to unhook their teammates without the killer blocking them from getting to the hook. If this can't be done with how the map is currently set up then they need to rework the map.
-
Only reason I want map offerings to stay as they are is because 1. It helps when I'm being sent to same map in back to back matches when no offerings were played and 2. Keeps me from going to Shelter Woods when I have a "fall from great height in chase" challenge.
I'd love if they added a great height to every map (or even better stopped with the challenge) and made it so the last realm the 5 players went to would not be an option for the next match - then change the offerings to guarantee not being sent to a realm instead of increasing the chances. There's like 20 realms, removing 5 from the options to prevent a back to back and then additional 5 from offerings still leaves 10 realms players can go to.
-
Next time tunnel out the player that likes to unhook in front of the killer. They don't care that you're tunneling out the player they unhooked, in fact they escaped the match by playing that way. Only way they'll learn is if you go for them when they make bad choices like that, and while it benefits you when you play killer it's going to suck to have that player on your team when you play survivor.
-
I got credit my first match for 1/4 then the following 2 matches 0 even though I definitely fell while in a chase. Had to unselect/reselect the challenge and when I did that it started counting the progress again the next match.
There's definitely something wrong lately with the challenges basically just freezing progress because what was an occasional issue I'm seeing happen to others way more often and I've had it happen a few time during this current rift.
-
Slugging players until bleedout when the killer could easily hook them is the problem.
When it's a killer running a slug until bleedout build that includes Knock Out v a solo group and they are choosing to only bleeding out survivors it's a problem.
When the killer at start or middle of match decides to "punish" one player and bleed them out to waste their time, it's a problem.
When killer slugs last survivor (or last two if manager to down them both while slugging for 4k) at end of match just to bleed them out while being a sore winner, it's a problem.
Slugging for 4k I wouldn't say is a problem when goal is to hook both survivors but it definitely isn't a fun time to be survivor laying in ground for 4 minutes.
