You're thinking way too small on hatch if you think it's killer sided. Amazingly enough, at one point, hatch did not exist. People played the game happily without it. You think that playing killer makes you all-knowing and that you'll always get to the hatch first. No. Many times the hatch spawns in an area you've never needed to go to in the later part of the match, because a gen was done there at the very beginning. Why is it in the game? If the killer could open a gate at any time, or the EGC started after the last gen was done, like I've suggested, we wouldn't need it. It's a crutch for survivors, not for killers. For survivors, you press a button and win. For killers, you press a button and hope the gates are close enough to patrol because that's yet another 2nd chance survivors have at escaping.

And really? EGC gives the killer free kills? I can't remember that last time I got an EGC kill!

And you treat "deserve" and "owed" as if they're taboo terms, but if I wasn't using those I'd be explaining the exact same message, just with different words. If killers aren't owed anything for playing well, and if survivors aren't owed anything for playing well, then what's the point of this game? You can't have a game that doesn't reward players for doing something right. That's the whole point of a game!

That 4th kill is as good as mine in 99% of scenarios. Unless the survivors have the gates opened, there's 2 left, I kill one and the other escapes through the gate, there's no reason I wouldn't be able to get that last kill unless I threw the game. The hatch skips that entire scenario. A bush hiding Claudette could do nothing all game and get that escape. What about hatch is killer sided? It exists to give survivors another chance to escape!

You are proving my point splendidly with this little diatribe. YOU FEEL ENTITLED TO KILLS YOU DID NOT EARN. The words "deserve" and "owed" should not be a point you are trying to make because if you don't actually kill people you aren't owed anything. Sometimes you win and sometimes you lose but at no point do you deserve anything. And you are discounting that survivors who played well and are the last man standing should have a chase to win as well. It is already vastly stacked against them. Hatch, killer-sided, EGC killer-sided, and the killer is faster, can run any number of perks to pin point your location and generally has some other built in ability like distance shots or ports or blinks. It is appalling that even though a survivor in that situation is already horrendously disadvantaged, you are salty that they might want to have a reason not to just suicide at your feet. Has it even occurred to you that survivors might want to have a fun game too, or are the survivors just fodder for your amusement. If that is the case I recommend you petition the devs for NPC mode, so you can just kill to your hearts content w/o having to be inconvenienced by anyone else just trying to enjoy a game.

  • Why wouldn't you be able to put a trap by the exit gate? I do not play killer a ton but I do enjoy playing trapper quite a bit. He was already mid-tier at best, he does need any nerfing for sure.

  • This must have posted before the new killer dropped. Wonder how he is feeling today?

  • Everyone of OP's arguments are laughable. The hatch is already killer sided, the likelihood that the killer is going to see and close the hatch before a last survivor can find it is way better considering they get to walk the map without any concerns, and have been the whole game. So unless the team never got below 3 gens, the hatch has been sitting somewhere the killer could have seen it for a while. Then they move faster, thus increasing the ability to beat the survivor to it.

Considering how many random players there are, of course other people's poor game play should not mean the last person should get killed automatically. With EGC already geared toward giving killers free kills, I think that is probably enough. And your thirst to have zero escape and just have to find the survivor tells me you are fairly new to this game. There used to be hatch stand-offs that could last an hour. And a survivor could just hide on the map forever until the killer DCd out of frustration. That is how things used to be.

And finally I have heard the word "DESERVE" thrown around a lot in this thread. There is literally nothing you are owed or deserve in this game ever on either side. If a survivor gets out, well you did not deserve that kill, and if a survivor gets killed, well it was not meant to be. But every player should have an opportunity to play, and you deciding that if 3 people go down you should just automatically get the game called in your favor is pretty ridiculous.

It has nothing to do with lagging out of a match today, how often do you DC? they can't all be lag outs. there's more to this story then you are sharing. the more you DC the longer the lock out is, it's that simple

If he played 20 games a day and his (or the server, which happens) drops him once a day. Within 3 days it woud be up to 15 minutes. It is easily believable that this penalty is not his fault. And put his DC percentage at 2%. I think DC penalty is handled very poorly in DbD. At the very least it should reset every 24hours. Days later is ridiculous.

  • Gen kicking and pallet kicking are one of the killers emblems, so for pip sake, it may be a good idea to work your destruction during the match. I run a gen slow-down build to stretch out the matches, if they can't get gens done, they can't leave. I would say focusing on gens instead of chases has earned me more pips and points than the other way around. Also patrolling like half the map generally works to get people, especially randos to 3 gen themselves.

  • @Manky said:

My point of view here is a mix. I do 100% agree that it is harder to pip as killer. That needs to change. They punish you for not taking your time. If you slug everyone and 4k with 4 hooks you depip. Its ridiculous. I don't think the solution is making it harder for survivors to pip as that would just make them sweat more, but having the emblem system gaurentee a pip if everyone dies would be nice (if they add a way to do that but it doesnt work for facecamping or other bullshit strategies that would be nicer.) As for the whole survivor sided thing, my perspective of that is that it varies. Some aspects of the game are very killer sided, and some most aspects are survivor sided. Overall, the game is survivor sided but there are some things that piss me off like hit confimations when playing survivor. Its pretty hard to play against killers on laggy servers when a hit on their screen counts when they are 5 meters behind you on your screen.

You are right it is harder to pip as killer and too easy as survivor (IMO). But if your strategy is to slug 4 survivors for the 4k, you 100% should not get a pip, this type of toxic gameplay should definitely not be rewarded. And the game swung killer-sided over a year ago. I have played over 2 years and have seen most changes swing the pendulum toward the killer. All survivor items have been nerfed, EGC is vastly killer-sided and the killer gets credit even if he doesn't catch the last person, hatch is killer-sided, like you pointed out hit boxes are crazy, everyone's got a 6 foot arm these days.

  • Lol, clearly this match did not go the way OP describes. For starters look at the survivors scores, he was not keeping them busy. If they had been working on gens, being chased and hooked and offhooked multiple times their scores would be a lot higher. Basically this screen shot shows me this guy played super toxic, did not complete 3 out of 4 of his own objectives and is blaming DbD for shorting him his pip. But if he had just actually played the game, he would have pipped just fine. If pips are your goal, you will need to actually engage the game. If ruining 4 other peoples match was the goal, it appears you were successful.

Again, you keep trying to put an inference in my words that is not there. Break down what I said again.... I started with:

"You will, in time, up your game to deal with it..." (which indicates that first an foremost I think he will become a better player).

    I continue with:

"And/or get a team of other Survivors who know how to work with you to do so." (I am not talking about a SWF. If you were took back through my posts throughout this Forum you will find I am not a fan of the SWF. I play Solo Que. As you get better and improve your Rank, you end up getting more people in the match with you that KNOW what they are doing. They will know how to work with you. When you are a newbie, basically Ranks 12-20, it is up in the air whether you will get support from your teammates or not. In this context it is clear that I"m talking about going into the match with other Survivors who are capable. You keep looking for something YOU want to hear that isn't there. If I mean SWF, I would say SWF, and talk at length about their 5th Perk (Comms).

This game isn't pro-Killer or pro-Survivor. There are no sides outside an individual match. We are all Players taking part in the same game. Most people do end up playing both sides. Your views on what is and isn't "toxic/lazy/cheap" are irrelevant because (so far) all the things you have chosen to label thus have been designated as valid by the DEV. Just like the OP, you seem hellbent on blaming the problems of Survivors on other Players or the game itself. I would urge you, just like I urged the OP, to own your own results. You earned them; that is the long and the short of it. All of us facing camping, tunneling, slugging, and the Mori from time to time. Most people soldier through it, recognizing it to be just part of the game. So, quit trying to put words in my mouth, and start stating and supporting your own case.

Do you not understand what a SWF (Survive with Friends) is? You totally suggest he play with others, a SWF, and then tell me you did not say that. Playing with others, not solo, is a SWF. There is no play with others that are stangers, that is just solo. And your rando team mates in matches are a total crap shoot. I have red rank survivors in my matches all the time that can't do anything but hide. I have overly bold ones that just flashlight click everyone till they are dead. Playing with strangers may up your game but because you have to learn to be more self-sufficient.

  • I can not get used to the new preschool map. So against Myers, I was downstairs in the school doing a gen and he jumped down the hole, so I ran up the stairs and oops new door at the end, so I ran the other way. ALL THE WAY TO THE OTHER END, guess what another new door. I had to run down the stairs, through the basement, pallet him and up the stairs again then out the middle door. I felt real dumb.

Please don't put words into my mouth. I never mentioned a SWF. I play Solo Que myself. I didn't offer any advice, because the OP didn't ask for any. He simply demanded what he wanted to happen and lamented his lot in the game. I don't get tunneled and camped 3/4 of my games, so I find it somewhat dubious when I hear people claim that. I know a lot of people who play and that number simply doesn't add up. At some points people have to start taking responsibility for their own losses, and quit trying to blame them on other Players or the game.

"You will, in time, up your game to deal with it and/or get a team of other Survivors who know how to work with you to do so." -Moonshroud. This is the exact quote from the post I referenced, so you did indeed recommend a SWF. I am not putting words in your mouth but referencing your exact statement. And playing toxic/lazy/cheap, although not outright banned, should not be encouraged. The devs should be doing something to discourage it. With all the added features that are pro-killer I think coming down on the lazier plays, like tunneling, is not asking too much.

Like...nothing you said seems to make sense based on my post...I am mostly talking about the cheese of survivors through coms...and I don't know where you draw your numbers...I am sure there is no empirical data to back that up, since it is objective really. But I am telling you...if I start getting survivors up my ass, body blocking a hook, I am not going to hook them and walk away pretending they aren't there...and if I can...I will hit the same guy, because it takes him down and punishes the survivors for being THAT bold...i don't even have a CHANCE to leave sometimes before they are unhooking...then they claim I am camping and tunneling....not seeing that its their comms that tipped off where their dude was before they got hooked...on and on...this post was me talking about how I WILL cheese when I SEE cheese...and I see it WAY more than the picture you are painting here. I would be more willing to say it is 50/50...but since I hit 15 I have noticed a sharp curve UP in the frequency I run into SEAL teams...ranked matches should not be doable "With your friends" that stuff with comms needs to be kept to the non-points matches...it wasn't in the balance of the game and I am so sick of survivors not acknowledging that.

What you are probably getting is seasoned players who know the map and the plays. Just because a team is playing cohesively does not mean they are together or talking to each other. Most players who are on here a lot get to know what the next steps should be and execute them. I have had amazing games with total randos because we just worked together to get the stuff done and cover each other without ever being in any kind of verbal contact. I think killers are quick to call people a team when really they are just individually good at this game.

  • Yeah I have matches where I always seem to be making the wrong choice and looking like I just bought this game instead of being a seasoned player of over 2000 hours. I just apologize in post-chat but I still feel bad that I was probably the weakest link in that match.

So...like to my point earlier...is it not also unfair and unsportman like for so many of these survivor groups to run around in groups of 4 that are all super connected on comms? The game specifically has no in game communication because it wasn't balanced on the survivors being able to communicate info like a SEAL team...without making a sound...they become insanely efficient, and it is a cheese tactic. When I am getting cheesed I will happily give the low blow man...I hate when Survivors don't even consider that their normal method of play on comms in insanely unbalancing and then they have the nerve to gripe about a killer who is sick of that deciding to just END one of you once and for all? It's not what I want to do...but also...right now...I am like at Rank 15 and of my last 5 matches, I didn't go up against ANYONE that was lower rank than 8....lol....no balance on skill there at all...I'm not the best killer...I try to play nice and It keeps me losing when I get to 15...so once in a while I just think it's nice to ruin someone else's gameplay as much as they CONSISTENTLY mess up and ruin mine...because of comms...

Just saying...don't bring up camping and tunneling if you don't at the same time admonish the survivors for all the toxic cheese things THEY do...because you aren't going to gain the moral high ground if your own nest isn't clean...survivors aren't trying to stop the comms...so killers don't need to stop doing what they need to do...that is life...

Well 1st I am a solo player and have never once played in a 4 man team. I do occasionally play with my sister and we form a 2 person group but that is my max. 2nd in released statistics under 10% of matches have a 4 man SWF, so this narrative that squads of survivors are attacking killers is just not all that common. And a negative behavior of another type or from another group does not negate the negative behavior being discussed in this thread. So even if you dislike SWF, that does not make tunneling ok. It is a separate issue that may also need dealt with.

I've DCed twice in my DBD career, once before and once after they added them back. Both times were intentional. I did so earlier tonight on a team where we had 3 gens done. We were doing really good. So to the team that I DCed on tonight, I'm sorry y'all. I got a call that a friend of mine died.

It was a 5 minute ban. I thought you had to sit in DBD for it to count down and I had exited completely when I left so I expected to not be able to play for a few minutes. It's gone so that's good.

So moral of the story is, if I've done it once and I got 5 minutes, how many times does it take to 60 minutes? It seems fairly fair to me...

The problem is it does not reset at an appropriate timeframe so if you played 30 matches in a day and got dropped from the server out of 2 you are at 15min, then 2 days later if you continue at 30 games a day, your internet wigs out you are at 30min. Then the next day you light your microwave on fire making a hot pocket it is now 60 minutes. Because instead of resetting after 24hrs or something reasonable, it just builds on itself. So at 30 games a day and 4 DCs over 4 days, you have DCd 3%, a very small amount but are punished the same as someone who rage quit 4 out of 9 games in a single day.

  • @rook10682 said:

I can say very clearly...that I don't camp a survivor I hook....UNLESS the survivors who are FREQUENTLY on comms...try doing SEAL team stuff and are rushing my ass before I even hook them...at that point, they are too bold, and I am not going to deliberately walk away...because the entire reason to do so is in the shadows just a few steps away...or the survivors are up my butt...If you think something needs to be done about camping, its the only defense I have as a killer when they do this (More than half the time when you hit rank 15 too)....I am not going to walk away and pretend I don't see you right there...I have had people gripe me out in chat for camping when they are all CLEARLY on comms which is an unfair advantage that was not really built into the balance of the game....its cheese tactics....just like face camping is...its dirty pool, but when people act all pissed off because I didn't "play to the strategy that they trained themselves to handle" it really pisses ME off. If you can't adapt your strategy then you have a problem. Some of these SEAL team coms using A holes that I have to run into...I will GLADLY cheese victory just even if it is to kill ONE of these people to send them a message...if YOU want to cheese tactic...then so will I....if you play with sportsmanship....then so will I...PERIOD....

I honestly think RANKED matches should force survivors to work with random people every time to prevent that comms SEAL teams that turn the game into JUST as unenjoyable pile of crap as it is to be hooked and camped...so people in glass houses shouldn't throw stones man...I have seen JUST as much cheese coming from the survivors and you all get butthurt when we throw a little cheese back your way...

I have encountered bad survivors while playing killer and been frustrated by them, but I will say I see and/or get tunneled in probably 2 out of 3 matches. I encounter toxic BM survivors in maybe 1 in 10 matches. It is by no means tit for tat here. And I am counting toxic behavior from survivors I see when I am playing killer and survivor. Ultimately there is not much a survivor can do to a killer, be fire with a flashlight I guess. That gets old quick, but really it is not nearly as prevalent.

  • @Chinanumawaaan said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1721023#Comment_1721023

Great, more ideas to support bad play. Hate to break it to you but surviving a match is not the same as winning. Just like a killer getting kills does not equate to a win. If you PIP, you win. if you break even, you draw and if you derank you lose.

The problem is imbedded in the game design and simplicity in killer mechanics. See, chase, kill. A lion doesnt kill the strong prey that they cannot catch, they pick off the weak. This is exactly the same scenario. Survivors demanding more tools to further increase their margin for error is the easy way out for the devs and should not be encouraged. Survivors have it too good as it is. The current state of the game only trades 1 survivors bad experience for 1 killers. Them getting gen rushed is not fun, their lack of enjoyment is now your problem. Deal with it. Don't like it? Demand better variety for killers and their perks, especially when they dont have the pay to win DLC perks that are somewhat essential at higher ranks.

This whole forum is literally waaaaaah I am sad I didnt get to abuse endless loops against a killer. You as a survivor have a ridiculous amount of utility to succeed, stop demanding more.

This game has been killer-sided for quite some time, nearly all changes that have occurred over the last year were pro-killer. Survivors have gotten every perk and add-on nerfed into oblivion. Some medkits aren't even good for a single heal, toolboxes are useless, "insta" heal takes 16 seconds (not very insta), most pallets are now unsafe, a bunch of openings have been turned into breakaway doors blocking passages (and survivors have no way to break one, of course).

It is not bad play on the part of the survivor being tunneled, they have no way of out playing a killer standing there to down them again. Tunneling takes no skill it is an easy play for a lazy player. There should be an opportunity for the fresh offhook to move away from the hook. And being able to take one extra hit is not like a game ender, I have had BT plenty of times and just been run down by a determined tunneler. So if they are set on playing super toxic, the option is still there.

  • @Moundshroud said:

No, with all due respect, they don't have to do anything. Camping, tunneling, slugging, and the Mori are all valid tactics for the Killer to use. They are, by in large, niche tools that will hurt the Killer more than help if used incorrectly. All of us have been where you are now. We still manage to move forward. That means that there are people who are managing to get out of their games even with camping/tunneling/slugging/mori Killers out there.

The DEV don't have to do anything about it; you have to do something about it. You will, in time, up your game to deal with it and/or get a team of other Survivors who know how to work with you to do so. That is it. That is the entire enchilada. Nobody likes it when bad things happen to them. It is just part of this game. You adapt or you die. If you can't abide the way the game is played, you find one you like more.

So basically your advice on how to solve this guys complaint is only play with an aggressive SWF team, because everyone else can just suffer. Because upping your game as a solo is never going to combat the hard-core tunnels in 3/4 of the games. A little over 2 years and 2000 hours ago I was winning and losing about 50/50, these days my rank is much better and I can play half a dozen games and get out of maybe 1 or 2. I don't think for one minute that my game play skills have somehow grown way worse since I was a new player. Tunneling is a plague on this game and should be dealt with. I don't even think major changes need to take place. I think Borrowed Time should not be a perk bit a base kit item for every survivor, basically making tunneling more difficult with a lower pay-off. It at least gives the survivor a chance to get farther than their feet touching the ground before they are down again.

  • Block lists have been requested many times for a long, long time and just been completely ignored by the powers that be. They would rather punish the victims of the toxicity they encourage than give people anyway to avoid it. Being able to block the worst of the worst in this game would be a dream come true. I just played a game where the killer was slugging and tunneling with 5 gens up, tunneled every single hook, broke off chases to tunnel, the match ended with 3 DCs and 1 guy bleeding to death while the killer nodded at him and watched. The killer pipped up and went from a rank 2 to a rank 1. So his horrendous behavior was just rewarded by this game and everyone else was punished. If I never encountered that (fill in the blank) again it will be a day too soon.

🤦 Nothing like starting the night off with a bang, huh?

Just to restore the faith, the rest of my matches after this first dumpster fire were much better. It has actually been a great night where most matches everyone got in the 20k's. So I have to give good DbD game play credit when it is due.

  • More often than not, I would say I see at least one of these in 1 out of 3 matches these days. Tunneling is way more prevalent than camping but I see both real often. If you had thrown in slugging this number would go up to 2.5 out of 3 without a doubt.

  • I have played 1 match so far tonight, basement camping Bubba slugging people in the basement watching them bleed out. He got like 14k, what was the point of that ridiculousness. SMDH

  • DC Penalty is ridiculous, 48 hours is beyond imaginable. No other game tells people they can't play for days on end for any reason. Killers are the reason people DC, rewarding them for being toxic is unacceptable. Suicide on hook is an option for getting out of an unpalatable match for sure, but that does nothing for people who just get kicked out from the server. I was kicked out of my last match, and I am now sitting out a 15 minute penalty for doing absolutely nothing, I have top of the line internet so this BS is not me. Which is why I am on here looking for DC posts. Because I am beyond frustrated being punished for just trying to actually play this game. This is exactly why I have stopped buying DLCs and auricular cells altogether, I am not going to sink any money into a game that I may or may not be able to even play by their whims.

They just added infinite’s back to Macmillan with that latest update that’s heavily survivor sided for a feature that was suppose to be killer sided in nature. There is too much wrong to talk about with your thing on ds+ub go watch some Scott Jund or other creators on this topic and you might change your mind.

No matter who watch I will not change my mind about tunneling and slugging (although slug has some practical uses) for the most part they are trash plays.

  • I like Xyvielia's comment about having a storyline mode/game. But other than that I think any DbD2 that is a killer vs survivor should have a new cast of characters.

  • @RizeAki said:

I never said I was a killer main I said both sides learn to read please and get rid of your entitlement and ego thanks. Play killer and see if you have fun going against bad map design, loops that connect and become infinite’s, ds+ub up to four times a game most games, and much more if you play something like clown for example.

Every map change in the last year has been pro-killer, including making most pallets unsafe, removing loops and opening up spaces and reducing square footage. And if you don't tunnel and slug you will never encounter DS or UB so easy peasy fixes to both.

To OP, I feel everything you are saying. When I started playing this game is was fire and I loved it and could while away hours playing like it was nothing. Now if I play 3 matches before leaving to play something else it is a red letter day. Just sucked most of the fun out of it over the last year and half.

  • I have zero issues with DCs. When I play killer I rarely get a DC, I see more as survivor but not a troubling amount. Now full disclosure I bounce around between 4 and 8, so I don't play with a lot of noobs. I do however take huge issue with DC penalty. People should not be forced to play with people being toxic, cheating, exploiting, etc. Really no one should be forced to play with anyone else for any reason. Should people stay and finish except in dire cirrcumstances, YES. Should the game force people to do so with punishment like a toddler, NO.

  • I 100% agree with everything you said here. I ran self-care 90% of the time, until inner-strength came out. I did switch because the heal is faster and it negates nurses calling. But the drawbacks are there too. If more than one or 2 people run it in a match, all the totems get cleansed real quick and you got no heals at the end of the game and iron maiden is in direct conflict with your heal. So you just have to measure which set of consequences work better for ya. I do not mind people self-caring in the slightest, because as you pointed out, getting a survivor to heal you takes 2 people out of play versus 1. I also play solo a lot and do not find altruism in the healing department running rampant in this game. So when left to my own devices it makes sense for me to be able to handle my self.

  • I have had this issue twice on this map, and once it was ruin, which was doodoo.

  • PC here and have never seen this happen, or experienced it while I am struggling. But if someone died while someone else was in a chest I probably assumed they gave up and let the entity take them because some jerk was butt-up in a chest instead of working to save them, which is always disheartening to see. But as a specific glitch I have no knowledge of it.

  • @Moundshroud said:

I agree with MadLordJack; you need to provide a lot more detail of what you are talking about. I am a PC Player and I assure you that if people were cheating with some kind of hack that allowed them to see where EVERYONE is that we PC Players would have heard about ti (and suffered from it) long ago. Could it be you are confusing actual Killer abilities for a hack? I play Myers and there is a build (Scratched Mirror + Boyfriend's Memo) that provides a Wall Hack. If you aren't familiar with it, I suppose it could give you the feeling you are being cheated. There are lots of other Killer Perks that reveal auras and positions too. I just want to make sure we are talking about actual hack here.

Your statement is vague and kind of illogical. PC Players don't want to get cheated either and if something like that were around, I'm pretty sure we would know about it. We would also be raising the alarm. I have noticed no difference between Console and PC Players whatsoever since Cross Play began, except for the blissful silence after the game. Personally, I think all in game communication before and after (that isn't worked out by Players themselves) should go away. I've yet to see it introduce anything positive. That is a tangent and I apologize. But back to the original topic, please provide DETAILS.

Although, like some other people here noted, I do not stream so never have any replay proof of this kind of thing, which makes it hard to report anything ever, I have seen this issue. I have not encountered it repeatedly like the orig OP has stated, but I have encountered a specific killer that is able to walk from player to player in every game no matter where they are, in a locker, behind a gen, all the way across the map, makes no difference. Post-game I noted they have zero aura perks, so there is no explanation as to how they just magically know where everyone is, and I have played against them as clown and billy so different killers. I have played at least 4 rounds with this person, I blocked cross-play so it is a small pool. And they have done this and slugged the whole team in every round. I have reported them ingame everytime, but I do not think that it goes anywhere and I have no play back so I don't bother with long-form tickets.

  • Lol, I could not love this post more. I agree with everyone in here, I see birds suddenly take flight while I am out and about and have an immediate suspicion.

Survivor main, had been seeing the killers here non stop on how toxic survivors are on pc, I had no idea. It's like pc survivors do absolutely nothing but troll and hide and wait for hatch. Sucks you can't just quit out and have to deal with that garbage on your team. Then they'll flashlight save just to keep screwing you and the killer over. Devs, can we get a kill your teammate by vote option or something? This is nonsense having folks non stop running bond and just bringing the killer to you while you're working gens. It's clear you don't ban them, I've had the same few I've submitted several reports on and still keep getting them non stop. At least on console if I block them I never see them again, now that it's cross play I'm stuck with this absolute potato trash trolling.

I play PC and would give anything for this game to have a block system. For PC there is no escape.

  • Nothing more frustrating than bad team mates. Get in a chase, take the killer away from undone gens, loop around while, get downed. No gens have popped and once you get picked up you see no one is even on a gen, 2 people sneaking around across the map and one guy in the basement chest. I feel ya. Then the only guy who comes to get you has a killer 2 feet behind and no BT, but grabs ya anyway.

  • Why you been getting so many DCs? What are you doing to these people. lol. I did turn off cross-play because console players not only seem to be operating under a whole different rulebook, they can not communicate so I just tagged out. It has been great and DC has not been an issue.

  • Mathcmaking has always been a problem and with MMR suspended I am not sure what is happening now, maybe just nothing. Everyone might get anyone else. I play more survivor than killer and seem to get killers in their teens that get run over, or level 1 red rank killer just sweating my team of me (8) and 3 20's. I have idea why it is so hard to get people together with similar skills.

  • There really is no such thing as gen-rush, it is just survivors doing there objective. Imagine survivors up in the forums like, killers should not chase me around to often, I am getting kill-rushed. That being said, I assume you mean 3 gens popping within 10 seconds of each-other, which is pretty rare and speaks more to your gen-patrol abilities than these people going hog wild on gens. If no one came by to chase them off of course they will finish them.

They should make 5 or 6 anti slugging perks. Imagine a perk that lets you get up with out any help. You don't like slugging because it works it wastes time for the slugs , the person the killer is chasing and the person who now needs to pick the slug up. Without slugging 3 people would be on gens instead of 1.

I don't like slugging because it is the lazy man's play, intead of just playing the game. It also stops the slug from getting any points or participating. This may surprise you but survivors came in to the match to play the game too, they are trying to get points too. So many killers on here talking about what they "deserved". You know what survivors deserve at least a chance to play the game, win or lose, and the trifecta of lousy gameplay camp/tunnel/slug prevents that very simple act. And since everyone likes to camp and tunnel there are a host of other anti-dickhead perks that have to be run instead. I would rather have fun perks like plunder but BT it is so my team had a chance. So don't harp on how many perks there are for this or that, you gotta play the odds on what terrible playstyle you will encounter and thus counter vs picking perks for a fun game.

  • It happens at McMillans as well

  • You were playing like a dick but did nothing bannable really. Kate would definitely be in more danger than you for what she did siding with a killer against a team mate. Slugging to 4k is a cheap, lazy ploy but not against the rules, just lame. Should have hooked and killed Kate and let the chips fall where they may with Zar. From the 1st down for Kate instead of letting Zarina have a minutes long run around to find the hatch. Hatch is killer sided anyway, you probably would have beat her there and won anyway.

  • DCs are fine and should not incur any penalty beyond loss of points and pips.

Claudette is the best survivor in the game.

Legion is the straight up worst killer (not because he is good or OP, just because mending is lame as all get out and takes up way to much time)

Survivors should have 1 personal ability each like killers

Hex: Ruin was fine the way it was (Survivor Main here)

Slugs should have the option to suicide like 1st hooks, maybe 3 chances to get up, or die. 4 minutes to bleed out is a waste of time.

  • @Heartbound said:

Every call to nerf NOED and Mori should be threatened with a revert to how they were when the game launched. (NOED just existed and wasn't tied to a totem and Mori didn't require you to be hooked first.)

Lol, I do see a lot of complaints from people that are obviously fairly new players. Man they would have lost there mind over hatch stand-off and BNP popping a gen.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

Imo they should change the way that the hatch spawns. It should only spawn when 3 survivors are fully dead (animation completed) or when all gens are completed. This would, at the same time, prevent survivors who camp the hatch and also nerf stupid purple/pink keys.

I agree the hatch should only spawn when it can be used, spawn and open being at the same time (3 dead or gate open 1 man left) then keys would only work to reopen a closed hatch if the killer beat you to it, and not for mutiples to leave together.

    @Carlosylu said:

Slugging is a valid strat to secure the 4k cause we feel unfair that the 4th surv gets to leave without actually working for it cause a guy suicided on hook (lets himself go) knowing their teammate knew where the hatch was.

Now, READ PLEASE, I think most killers would be willing to stop slugging the 3rd survivor as long as suicide on hook, when 2 survs are left, is taken out of the game in order for killers to have a bit more time to look for the 4th prey, with the exception of suicide on hook against a camper, where it could be a feature where the survivor can only suicide on hook if the killer is camping the hook with only 2 survivors alive.

This way, getting the hatch would actually be a challenge for the last survivor when the killer clearly outplayed the survivors with "fair play", as survivors call it.

    What do you guys think?

EDIT: PLEASE NOTE that I'm talking about hook suicide rules ONLY for games where the killer already has a 2k and 3rd survivor gets hooked, I'm not talking about other scenarios.

Slugging to 4k is a cheap, lazy strategy. Hatch is already pro-killer and if you don't beat the last survivor to it you don't deserve a 4k because the last guy just got out. You were not cheated out of anything, those survivors played as hard as you, and got lucky. News flash, killers are not guaranteed a 4k every game, and the words "deserve a 4k" show up all to often in these forums. No player in this game is guaranteed and outcome, not survivor escapes or killer kills. So a survivor escaping is perfectly fair. And the 3rd guy dying and you and the 4th survivor racing to hatch is the fair end to the game. You win some you lose some.

  • I would say at least 15 minutes to be satisfying, get a good score and well fought for outcome. A 7 minute game for either side would feel like there was some unfair advantage at play. Like red rank SWF laying waste to a inexperienced killer or a high ranked killer owning baby survs. I want longer more challenging matches, especially with current queue times.

How so? You dont like being slugged so now its cheap and lazy?

No one likes being slugged and it is cheap and lazy. You down them put them on a hook, pretty easy. That is the game, chase, down, hook, repeat, till dead. So many end game changes have come about with the excuse that it wastes killer's time, well slugging survivors is a waste of their time.

Knowing when to slug is part of being a good killer. Like, the-difference-between-winning-and-losing part.

Except the bro I was talking to said, "I slug a lot", this bro is not picking his moment.

  • @Todgeweiht said:

Eh, I personally slug a lot. I don't see it as being sweaty, just a way of keeping decent map pressure, but I get a lot of negative comments when I do it.

Probably because it is a cheap, lazy way to play, instead of just becoming good at playing killer. I understand the salt fo sho.

  • @Hektic3000 said:

So tunneling and camping are just killers doing their only objective too...which is to kill. So why are survivors mad when you're just doing your objective.

Maybe because killers have 4 objectives to work on and playing that way is pretty much ignoring most of them. It robs the survivors of the opportunity to even play and hurts everyone's points. Without chases, offhooks and killer interaction there is no game. So camping and tunneling just nullify a lot of the actual game for both sides. It is not their objective in any way. It is players with poor skills using the easy way to snatch a few kills vs just improving your skills.

Thankfully, losing the game on purpose is an option in the report section.

Feel free, if anything, my many reports have taught me that no one down at BHVR headquarters is giving any Fs about our complaints.

  • Sabo squads are pretty terrible, or at least were before the horrendous toolbox nerf and hook changes. But there really is never a "camped like I should" moment, it is always a douche move. I play PC and have cancelled crossplay because every console killer I encountered camped and tunneled. IDK if y'all just think that is an exceptable way to play but I will stick with the PC crowd.
