Survivors are currently the power role, also its been fixed in the ptb from what I've heard.

You have got to be joking, Killer is in the power role. Behavior has spent an entire year buffing killers and nerfing survivors to the point that I don't know why they don't shitcan survivors altogether and make them NPCs for as much as they care about survivor gameplay.

  • I call total bullshit because that is 41k per game. A perfect game is 32k. So nice try.

Thank you for reminding me why I looked into 'family share' through steam and why D/C isn't an issue for me.

I don't really care about rank, I've been Purple/Red before playing legit (doesnt really mean anything other than the number next to my name is Purple/Red), I seem to have the most fun at others expense. So I will file this in the Idc department.

Oh, I see now. This post was because you are an out and proud Ahole, who thrills in ruining other people's game experience. Got it, we can all leave now nothing to see here.

I picked her up to hook her further away, so I can then see the aura of the other two survivors on the ground with BBQ, it was strategic. What I didn't count on, was being punished for taking advantage of their mistakes by staying too close to the hook.

I understand your POV, however, I really have to disagree in seeing the logic of why someone in my position should be punished for capitalizing on THEIR mistakes.

The killer was not being punished "for taking advantage of their mistakes", you just made your own mistake. Just own that the killer should have made some different decisions here and move on. This is not on DS, the Jane used it appropriately. Especially in a full team slug situation, she just got extremely lucky. They did make mistakes, but so did the killer.

Also no one has pointed out that this play was only possible because the killer was running a perk that just showed them the location of all survivors (not defending their play, it was a bit rough). They are mad that one situational perk popped and messed up what was in their mind a great play completely dismissing that running an aura perk that showed the location of all the other players might have been a little OP. DS was not the only perk in play in this video and not even the most overt.

  • Considering the changes coming soon where they have massively reduced the amount of pallets per map. I think this would be fine, as a once per game or large cool down situation.

  • What is the point of this, after repeating this plan for 26 games you will have amassed like 20k. It is not a very good strat. Also it is not playing the game, where is the fun in that? I don't get this at all.

Punishing the killer for being within a certain distance of the hook is only valid if you also punish other survivors for it as well. It's been proven before that survivors will abuse it if that's not the case. Though I honestly would like it if both killer and survivor got punished for being near the hook for too long.

As for the original comment I agree and would support a killer penalty for overtly camping within a radius of a hooked survivor. I do not understand the above comment stating that survivors should be penalized for "being near a hook for too long". Survivors have zero incentive to hang around a hooked person. The only reason the be chilling in the area is if the killer refuses to GTFO and they are waiting for an opportunity to offhook. So if the killer had incentive to leave the area, the survivors would not be loitering, they would offhook and be on their way. Also how can a survivor abuse a camp penalty, they can not make a killer camp them?

PS. I wish this had been a poll

  • Had to go #4, not because I like hatch grab, although I miss hatch stand offs occasionally. But I do not like the way they changed the hatch mechanic now either.

  • It is an anti-tunnel perk. I am not picky about what kind of BS tunnel it is preventing. A tunnel that should not have happened in the 1st place.

  • I agree with you, Dr recently got a buff and it has made playing against him worse than it already was. I am of the opinion that no killer should have a built in aura perk. That is what perk slots are for. I used run calm spirit a lot to counter the screaming but because tunneling has gotten so bad I have had to switch it for DS or Borrowed Time. Luckily I don't see Dr a ton, he doesn't seem to be a favorite.

  • I think ping and lag are overall better. But it did not fix those problems as much as I thought it would. I am still occasionally rubber banding around the map. I also find that killers with projectiles seem to be able to break the law of physics and hit you through rocks and walls and steel. Before the explanation was lag between me and the killer, well what is it now?

  • I would like maybe a cemetary with a mausoleum and crypt tunnels, so half and half. I see a lot of creep potential there.

  • Do you mean the dailies? They are randomish, but I find which ever side you play more you will get dailies for the other side or characters you don't play much to promote diversity in your play. You can trash one a day and get a new one. I play survivor main and get weeks of killer only dailies and then 1 survivor one.

  • This poll assumes all killers tunnel. Which I will agree it is at least 85% playing like total tools. I do not tunnel, for any reason. I have also had less than 5 DCs in my matches from Survivors ever (1500 hours/ 300ish killer specifically). There is obviously a direct correlation between people wanting to play with you in a match and not playing like an A**hole. DC penalty and several updates over the last year have made tunneling the meta in this game, which is sad. If I play 6 survivor rounds and 1 killer is not tunneling everyone like a jerk I am pleasantly surprised by the one guy and assume he is a survivor doing a daily. Do I wish people relied more on skill and objectives and less on Camp/Tunnel/Slug sure but the devs have promoted the later more and more over the year. And will continue to do so until they have squeezed every last bit of fun out of this game.

ah you're entitled and wants the game easier to survivor, that explains. the sizes are going to be reduced, even if you complain and cry to BHVR saying: "This game is hard, pls nerf every single killer"

I agree with Lalythia, the map sizes are fine as is. "Man, I wish this map were smaller so I could engage in more chases." said, no survivor ever. This sounds more like killer entitlement because you are not interested in having to put in effort to find and chase survivors, they should all be in a tight little radius for you to down. And there have been several comments about 'gen rushing' in this comment thread. Gen rushing is not a thing. That is survivors doing their objective, just like finding survivors, kicking gens and hooking people are kiiler objectives. And even though it has never been a thing, the toolbox nerf should make killers happy because they are useless now.

That would be holding the game hostage so, yes, they will get penalized for it if they do it repeatedly. You can do your part by reporting it.

While I understand that this is a bad situation, lowering DC penalties just because things like this might happen from time to time would be unreasonable. Matchmaking is the issue here, DC penalties aren't.

Reporting this kind of thing does absolutely nothing. It is not addressed at all. I tried reporting people for toxic behavior and I got an email back days later asking for a clip so they could confirm. Umm, I don't stream so I of course had no clips to send. So bam nothing happened. I jumped though all the hoops, names, times, other players in the match, steamID yadda yadda. But no clip, no proof was the verdict. Reporting is a waste of time. DC penalty only treats a symptom of the actual problem and like Thisguuy83 said, it punishes the wrong people.

  • Yes, but just the crust. It is like a bonus bread stick.

  • Myers all the way

    He's quiet

    Tall, dark and (maybe handsome)

    He has good posture

He probably has a job, at least he wears a gas station uniform

  • There have been a lot of survivor nerfs specifically to address SWF. To the point that is incredibly hard to play solo these days. These include toolbox nerf, heals nerf, BNP nerf, Inst-heals nerf, Leader perk nerf, Reducing map sizes, changing color graphics so camo is harder, etc, etc, etc.

  • I can't say I hate him. I do feel like the being able to shoot you through rocks is OP. I also think that this killer was built for tunneling and that kind of gameplay should be avoided. I have had more than one match where he just camps the hook and shoots anyone who tries to offhook, pretty toxic. I have also had fine matches where the killer just played the objectives and didn't use the harpoon effect to just camp and tunnel the whole group down. Those were fine. So I have a hard time saying I dislike this killer, really I dislike toxic gameplay.

  • My sister bought it for me as a gift 2 years ago so I could play with her and her stream friends. Back then it was pretty fun. Those were good times.

But Legion is fun to play and play against! : D

How could you say that about Julie?

Legion is the worst. He is not fun to play against, no killer should have a built in aura perk. That is what actual perks are for. Then there is the mending constantly so it takes 20 minutes at the earliest to get the match over with is boring and exhausting. I would take any other killer over this lame duck.

  • DC Penalty has brought out the worst in toxic behavior because people who want to ruin other people's gameplay know for sure you are trapped in their with them or face consequences. It has made 80% of the matches ridiculous, every one a huge camp, tunnel and slug fest. I was as frustrated as the next guy when people frivolously DC'd 2 seconds into a match because they didn't like the killer or map but if someone is getting hardcore face-camped after they were tunneled by all means DC on this toxic bro and get on to the next match.

No other major multi-player game you pay for forces you to play with jerks, and take the abuse or get punished for deciding you do not want to play with said jerks. There is no block list system in place either so you may get stuck with the same ridiculous behaviors from the same people repeatedly.

If DC penalties escalated in 2 minute increments, ok. If they only applied to DC's in the 1st 3 minutes of gameplay, ok. If they just instituted block lists so undesirable people could be avoided, even better. But as is it just rewards terrible behavior, forces you to choose between wasting your time playing with toxic Aholes, or ending your game for the night.

There is also the problem that I got disconnected from a server the other night and got a 30 minute penalty. I didn't even DC. There was a guy up above who has glitchy internet (way more common during this COVID-19 quarantine) and has had back to back 6 HOUR penalties. UNACCEPTABLE. So all the people saying that accidental disconnects aren't a problem, they are because the penalty times are completely unreasonable. If I get the boot from the server and have to wait 5 minutes, ok. But 6 damn hours, that is an unacceptable amount of time for any game, especially one I pay for and have put in nearly 1500 hours on.

  • I don't think there should be a DC penalty of any kind. The first comment "If believing that players don't have the right to selfishly do whatever they want when they want at others' expense like spoiled children" is asserting that this is people who DC. But in reality that is what we have now that the DC penalty is in place. Every game now is just camp, tunnel, slug...rinse and repeat because the killers are confident that you will not leave no matter how bad it is to avoid being penalized. It is worse and more toxic than it ever was before this ridiculous ban. I was as annoyed at the next guy over people DCing 10 seconds in because they didn't like the killer or map or what have you. But if you have run a good game and you aren't having fun due to overtly toxic behavior you should have the option to leave. No other large multi-player game that I know of traps people in with a$$*oles and then further victimizes them if they choose not to put up with it.

  • Well Legion 100%, but he wasn't on the list. So probably Laurie or Bill. Laurie is annoying and lame and Bill's perks aren't super useful, plus he is loud as hell.

  • I can not speak for anyone else but I think a DC penalty of any kind is ridiculous. I can not think of another game out there that forces you to play. I want out of COD, I am out. I want out of Apex, I'm out. I want out of Friday the 13th, I'm out. It is ridiculous to punish people for simply not wanting to play.

I play killer like 20% of the time, not a bunch, I know. I very rarely get a DC. You know why??? I don't face camp, I don't grief people, I don't tunnel people in the basement, etc, etc, etc.

If someone is going to hook me in the 1st 20 seconds of the game, then stand in front of me shaking there head no and hitting me on hook I should not be obligated to play with that person. They are the ones cheating me, not caring about my gaming experience and not even letting me play the game. If I DC I forfeit my points and item and add-on, that is punishment enough.

It is a ridiculous expectation to demand that people take whatever abuses others want to dish out because there is not recourse for bad behavior but if you simply try to remove yourself from the situation you are done playing.

1 year ago I would have said this game was the best but it just gets worse with every patch.

    This needs so go now!!!!
