Gen rushing used to be a term used for coordinated SWFs who brought toolboxes and brand new parts and slammed out 2-3 gens before a killer could get a hook. (actual toxic gameplay)
Now killer tend to throw it out there is a rando solo team finishes a gen before they 4k and for anytime a survivor does their objective at all. (skill-less killers mad they had to try)
To be fair: Tunneling has its equivalent. Tunneling is running back to hook at purposefully going back after the fresh offhook, generally running past/around the offhooker to do it.
These days you can get accused for just running across and injured guy grunting in the bushes who was offhooked 3 min ago and you happened to hear him healing up or what not.
-
The same people who came in here to tell OP that they can play however they want and he needs to get over it are also making boatloads of posts whining about survivor leaving their matches on purpose. Welp, if you want to play like toxic trash, especially in what is supposed to be a fun event, then you get what you get. If people are leaving your matches in droves you are the common denominator, it is not ALL of them.
OP is not wrong, the sweat in this event has been pretty high.

I do enjoy the game, not this event for the reasons i mentioned, so i just did the minimum challenges to complete my collection and stopped playing, dont worry :)
I have had some of the same experience and make sure to tell the ridiculous sweat in post chat that is they are that hard up for a W they need to go play reg DbD and leave the event to people actually trying to have fun. There is absolutely no point to running into an event where everyone is bringing cake and working on achieves and just camp and tunnel people out of the match so you benefit from their offering with no care that they came to play too.

Nothing beats that moment when a killer leaves you slugged... and you quietly crawl away, to then see them looked around for you confused off in the distance. Extra points if you actually manage to find hatch first... Priceless. 😘👌
There is nothing greater than legitimately getting hatch, as a slug.

People having trouble playing Freddy have a skill issue. He used to be a top tier killer when he came out and is still very effective and has had buffs in the past. You didn't used to glow white in the dream state. I think the devs came out with these training wheel killers with 7 built-in abilities and people playing killer no longer had to learn how to play. So killers like Trapper, Doctor, Nurse, Freddy and Wraith seem hard and underpowered.
-
If 2 survivors are hiding from you to waste your time, what did you do to them prior to that. Killers only get this treatment from my friend and I if they were playing like hard trash in the beginning. Were you camping? Hard tunneled the other 2 out? I mean by your own admission you had 2 dead with only one gen done, that smells like some toxic gameplay. Survivors have very few options to stop a killer who is playing like garbage, this happens to be one. Keep in mind they are wasting their time too. Since you then decided to bleed them out, I think you should evaluate your gameplay before demanding "Bhvr do something".
The better (more mature) play would have been to hook the one you found and hatch race the last.

I see nothing in these two posts?
But good job moving the goal post, probably because you don't want to/can't address halve of their points.
For example about the fact that survivor trying their hardest for a 4 people escape instead of taking the 3e "because they already won" is acceptable but when it's the killer wanting a complete victory (or complete archives or achievements) and doing everything to maximize their chance is an offense to people like you.
(And before you also come at me that I slug for the 4k, you are free to check my comment history where I made it clear that, for the last up to 2 years I played this game, I made it point of an experiment to not tunnel, camp or slug to see how appreciative survivor were in comparison to all the complaints on the forum.)
My point was that if you aren't going to get credit for the kill letting them bleed out that slug to 4k does not make sense when looking at MMR. It was not in any reference to experience or level, if that is your question.
Also survivors risking their lives to save a team mate is the polar opposite and a terrible comparison to "slug to 4k". 3 healthy people running out with a survivor on 1st hook is a closer match. If people stay and try to save a team member, they risk hooks and dying themselves and do it so another player might have an opportunity to continue to play. The people staying are risking losing. Slug to 4k is just a lazy way to almost guarantee 4k without having to actually play. And does not risk loss by the killer, he already won.

That is false. Even when it comes to MMR, the game cares about kills only. A dead survivor is a survivor that hasn't escaped, which is all that matters. It doesn't matter how their death occured.
The best possible outcome for a killer is 4 kills and the game grants them a bunch of extra BP for every survivor they killed as well as a bonus for all 4 survivors killed. It also gives them more BP for each hook they got. So you have a bunch of reasons to slug for the 4k (MMR and a lot more BP, as well as it being the best possible outcome, which grants more pips) and the only thing that may or may not stop you from doing it is because it's boring for the survivors. There used to be this whole argument that survivors made, "Your fun is not my priority.", and it applies here as well. As long as you follow the rules, you can play in whichever way you want and don't need to consider your opponent's fun. It's the devs' responsibility to ensure the game is fun for everyone, not the players'.
You are correct the Emblem/Pips are the system only counts hooks and mori's, I had it backwards. But the devs have skewed this game so hard toward killer that it is now up to the killer whether the survivors have fun or not. So it could be argued that the player in the killer role is responsible for the other player's fun.
Now I have always played killer like the host of a party and considered the gameplay for all players per match. I understand that not everyone is a decent human being. The same trolls railing in the tiktok comments sections, play video games. At the end of the day you are arguing with me that it is your right to be hard trash. And I guess I have to concede that it is. It is just massively disappointing and you can just enjoy those DCs I suppose.

Ahhh, so you're one of those fortune tellers, huh? I always find it funny when someone else tells me things about myself that even I didn't know yet.
Just playing the game as intended and racing the last survivor to hatch (which is way skewed in the killer's favor) is not "giving them a free escape" […]
I recommend reading the full sentence. It is a free escape on many maps when you close the hatch and that survivor waits at an exit gate, which has become increasingly common. How do I know that? It might have something to do with me not slugging for the 4k. Maybe I should though. After all, kills are all that matters. The game doesn't give a damn how I got those kills, so why should I?
This has nothing to do with bm. It's a way to play the game. I don't like when survivors use a map offering to send themselves to GoJ either. That doesn't make it bm. Because they don't do it to ruin my experience but because they want better results. Just as a killer that slugs for the 4k. It's in the game, it's not a punishable offense and there is nothing that stops a killer from doing it.
Only kills via hook or mori count for MMR. EGC and bleed out only count for grade. So if kills are important to you slugging makes no sense as far as moving up the MMR system.

Are you sure you're not just projecting?
Lots of people assume the MMR system doesn't work, but my experience with the MMR system is the skill of killers changes in difficulty noticeably based on who I queue with.
When I queue with players who are newer than me, I tend to do quite well against the killer, and a lot of the time will waste time into minutes to the point the killer will often drop chase with me. When I queue with players who are better than me, the killer tends to play much better as well and facing them is much harder. In either case the game overall goes easier or harder based on how well my teammates perform relative to the killer.
When I play on my own, most of my killers tend to be playing to a comparable level of skill. Survivors make mistakes sure, but I've seen plenty of players with obvious PC names who play like absolute idiots. In fact the people who tend to not sit on gens and spend 90 seconds following the killer just to miss a flashlight save anyway tend to be PC players.
So if you're so sure that console players are generally worse, and you're much more skilled at the game, wouldn't you expect to see fewer console players as your MMR goes up? If there is such a gulf in your skill relative to the console survivors, you shouldn't be being paired with them correct?
I'm not necessarily saying you're wrong that PC players are generally better than console players on average, that statememt is probably true, but it might be worth assessing if your opinions on console players is genuinely founded, or if blaming console survivors is an easy scape goat for you.
Especially notable as when you blame them, there is no conversation to understand their decisions, so you likely retain more examples ehere they "played badly" as they can't answer back to you to explain why you might be wrong.
You seem to be relying on MMR entirely to hard in your argument. I did not even bring up MMR but since you did, there are only 3 levels of MMR and once you reach the 3rd tier (the by far largest group) you pretty much can't backslide to lower MMR's to prevent smurfiing. So while I am certain you are in the highest MMR, so is almost everyone else. The only thing needed to get to the 3rd tier is time. The more you play the more MMR points you earn the faster you get to 3rd tier, that is it.
I have played DbD since January 2018, and currently have 3.5k hours in the game. I have played at nearly all the iterations (except the very beginning), with no console, limited console and all the console. When I speak on the skill level and I mean across the board, it is not necessarily whether the game is won or lost, or whether the console survivors are in a high or low MMR. It is the fact that they do not understand the game, (I assume) because they don't have much communication, and probably because they have not played as long as some PC players.
I also noted you basically said I am right in your retort. "I'm not necessarily saying you're wrong that PC players are generally better than console players on average, that statement is probably true…" were your exact words. My point was that the skill gap was not really console player's fault. Their lack of communication makes learning a slower curve. But also as a PC player I would just rather avoid having to be frustrated by this deficit in my personal matches.
I will give you credit. Without comms, it is a 2 way street. They also can not explain their actions, or address the other team mates to rationalize game play decisions. So you are right that they may get a more negative and mildly undeserved reputation as a result.

Neither side "owes" anything to the other as long as they're all following the rules. Slugging for the 4k is not against the rules. It's not fun, I get that but honestly, why wouldn't a killer simply slug and all but guarantee the 4k? The killer does not need to care about your fun, just as you don't need to care about their fun. Which means that both sides can play in whatever way they want. Securing a 4k means nothing more than eliminating an unnecessary risk for extra BP and better pips.
It's completely natural for players to aim for the best possible outcome. There is nothing petty about that. It's the equivalent of survivors not taking 3 escapes but trying to get the last survivor out. Why wouldn't they do that? They already won, so it's not absolutely necessary but 4 > 3. Or keeping the exit at 99%. It's not necessary but they do it to avoid Blood Warden, which is a potential risk. They could just open the gate and take a chance but there is no reason for it because it's easily avoided.
The killer is not obligated to sympathise with you. If they do, then that's great but really they have no reason to. At the end of the day, they play the game to have fun and for some people the 4k is an important part of that. Survivors don't stop to think about how the killer might feel either. Because it's not their priority.
Also, why does the killer have to give the survivor a free escape, if they just wait near an exit gate? Both sides find ways to optimise their gameplay and it's rarely fun to play against but as long as it is allowed there is no point in shaming them. They don't do anything wrong as far as the rules are concerned and the rules are the only metric that decides whether or not something in a game is "wrong".
I can clearly see that you like to slug to 4k and feel attacked by the majority of the community thinking that is cheap and lazy. Just playing the game as intended and racing the last survivor to hatch (which is way skewed in the killer's favor) is not "giving them a free escape" it is just allowing them to play the game. And the killer has a WAY better chance to find hatch then the survivor. Slugs also get no points and have no way to exit the match without having to wait for bleed out. So you are just BMing and wasting that players time for no reason.

Yup, a very reputable source indeed.
you are deluding yourself if you think you are going against 4-man swf even 25% of the time.
Sure, you know what my games look like better than me. I definitely get SWFs in more than half of my killer games. Even if that 100% accurate picture is true, my killers might just be near high MMR, where all SWFs are concentrated, while most of soloQ players are stuck in ELO hell. That could be one explanation.
There are 3 tiers of MMR and most players who play more than casual (or aren't new) are in the highest tier because you can not backslide after reaching 1600+ high cap to avoid smurfing. So ok my guy I am sure you are such a DbD god that you are just getting a special dose of bully SWF above all the plebs.

Why would you wish to avoid console players?
Short answer: They tend to not play very well.
Long answer: I assume because they do not have nearly the level of communication that PC players have they are much slower to learn the nuances of the game. A PC person makes a bad play they are generally going to hear about it in post-game chat, on their Steam profile, etc. Over the years you get a pretty good understanding of the expectations of the game. I am not talking about SWF comms here, just basic chat.
Console players don't have chat with their team mates before hand, and no post-chat after. I watched an Xbox player play and the chat box did not even appear on the TV screen.
This has manifested in killers with zero personality, no meme games, no snoot boops, no slug races and not even much of a sense of fair game play because they do not ever face the repercussions of their in game play from community members.
Survivors are the least altruistic bunch ever. They sandbag their team mates, they do all the gens on one side of the map and facilitate a 3 gen, they run headlong into the insidious Bubba basement, or trapper basement. They just can't read the room because no one can tell them the plays, even as an after chat.
PC players are by no means perfect or all amazing DbD gods (and some console players are very good) but have formed a basic, although at times toxic, community of people. Console just runs in like little Helen Kellers and when they throw the match for the team no one can even give them feedback. If they are BMing the rest of the group you can't report them.
The percentage of console players, albeit not all) that just tank the day (killer and survivor) just make avoiding all of them the more palatable option.

Why do you need the pity escape so badly? If the killer already won, then it shouldn't matter if you die by the killer playing around hatch.
Why do you need the pity kill so bad? At 3 dead you already won. Making it fair for the last survivor is not out of line. You are under some delusion that the last survivors "owes" you a kill. This is a majority solo queue game. Why would that last survivor just give up to you because the 3 team mates died? I know you will be surprised to know but the survivors are gamers as well, human beings who came to play and have a good time, just like you. Killers seem to forget that survivors are not just NPC waiting for you to come along, regardless of how Bhvr treats them.

Only after they remove all 15 extra health states for survivors. Slugging works so fine because most of survivors' god-mode perks, which they like to abuse for bodyblocking, activate after unhooks, and some really BMing perks work only when you pick up a body. The infamous sabo build many bully squads abuse is also countered by slugging and by slugging only, and I don't need to remind you about flashlight saves. They gave survivors so much literal immunity that slugging seems to be the only viable option how to play against SWF and not feel miserable and humiliated for the whole trial.
Bully SWFs make up less than 3% of the survivor base. So you think the game should be balanced around this tiny fraction of players so that killers can just BM the heck out of the other 97%. And I do not disagree with the people saying sometimes slugging it the correct play, etc. But 4-way slugging is NEVER the correct play and should not even be allowed in the game. One or 2 folks slugged to slow things down or prevent wiggle off with sabo's, OK. 3 people slugged, no hooks and looking for 4th for the bleed out is unacceptable.

I mean how else can a killer play around hatch then slugging?
Killers should not be "playing around hatch". It is pathetic to slug to 4k. The killer already won the match with 3 kills. Just play out the match with a perfectly fair hatch race. Killer had a way better chance of finding it first anyway. So you are giving the last survivor maybe a 15% chance to live.
-
Bhvr REALLY needs to cut loose with the built-in unbreakable we were told was coming like a year ago. This repeated, multiple team mate slugging until death is ridiculous. I also think there should never be more than 2 slugs. a 3rd goes down the 1st pops back up. Slugging a whole team and BMing them for 4 min should just never be a possibility.
-
Everything you described is what a killer should be doing anyway. So it is easy because it just works while not interupting normal game play. Unlike that weird survivor "sit in the basement for 2 minutes" business.
I play more survivor and I think Pop is a fine perk. I do not think it needs a nerf, or adjustment.

You do not have to run a single perk to play trashy.
-
6 years here, and I feel you a 100%. I have to assume new players just have no idea what it was like when it was great, so they just take the abuse. I watch little console players getting BM'd hard and just keep trying. I miss OG DbD every time I play.
-
DS is a one time use perk, that deactivates if you even look at an objective or another survivor. I agree that if a person is jumping lockers repeatedly or vaults that is obnoxious, but would be with or without the DS. The only people affected by this perk were all up at the offhook (which you shouldn't be) and looking for some low hanging fruit instead of actually playing the game. So if you are constantly seeing DS, maybe re-evaluate your play style.
And to all the people in here who are like I got a 5 second stun for playing poorly, so I will literally ruin 4 people's game with slugging and tunnels, YOU ARE THE PROBLEM. These perks are in here because of you.
-
Yes and No, they do keep attracting new players but they have a rough retention rate for old players. A huge majority of PC players have left. Especially when crossplay is mandatory. So will it die out completely, probably not for a long time. Has the quality of gameplay and enjoyment out of it plummeted, yes, yes it has. Bhvr has other media in the works though and DLCs will always attract new players. So it will taper off slowly, unless another horror game comes along to topple it.
-
I agree with most of your opinions. I don't know how long you have played but know most of your issues used to be better and have been made worse over time.
I like to Myers, but you are right tombstone and infinite tier 3 are pretty rough. I do like to play Myers, but don't bring anything too bad, in it for the jump scares.
I like the plant hag outfit, that is about it. But I don't play her much.
Killer is easier. I go play killer to chill after I am at my wits end playing survivor. Generally Trapper, Dr or Myers.
Camp, tunnel, & slug, the trifecta of lazy, is not a strategy, it is an indicator of a low-skill killer, for sure.
My only add to this controversial opinion thread is that they need to reduce the massive built-in kits new killers have instead of buff the old killers. This game used to be the survivors were basically skins and the killers each had ONE or TWO special abilities. Now killers have 5,6,7 built in abilities. It is way too much, that is what perks are for. And in that same time survivors have gotten nada. Still skins with only 4 perk slots.
Here's hoping it gets better someday.
(Secretly hoping for an OG player mode, or maybe ebony old map offerings)
-
You are playing DbD, so yes you agreed to play with premade groups. That is part of the game. I wish it would show killers who is together. I think all these people whining that "all they get is 4-man SWFs" would get a rude awakening that most of their lobbies are solos, maybe a 2-man sometimes.
-
Your question is "Is distortion too strong in a game based on HIDE & SEEK???". Umm, No. The fact that everyone needs it because full aura is ridiculous but people still strap em all on is the problem. You should not be able to just see your opponent the entire match in a game of hide and seek. Try getting some skills. learn the different roles and play the game. These crutch perks are why killers have no integrity, stamina or skill anymore.
-
I am sorry you are getting these trash survivors. I have had this kind of match many times and it is very hard to play against a killer and a survivor both. If you can record it, even on your phone, you can long-form report it. Unfortunately console has no profiles so it is anyone's guess whether they get any consequences.
-
The difference between solo and SWF is a lot. But make no mistake, this game is 100% making changes as if all survivors are in a SWF. This is the main argument of solo survivors which make up well over half the player base. Killers have buffed again and again and again to combat SWF (which are a tiny fraction of the player base, 4 man making up less than 10%) and solos just get to be cannon fodder.
-
Maybe killers (including Otz) need to recognize that if 9/10 survivors are leaving your match. It is not the survivors that are the problem. I play killer and I almost NEVER have someone DC and suiciding on hook is rare. But I also NEVER run back to the hook, do not slug at the beginning of matches, I don't camp or tunnel. And you know what, people stay and play with me.
I win some and I lose some but it's always fair. And you know what that is all survivors are looking for. DbD devs (and killer mains) seem to be under the impression that if a 4k doesn't happen every match something is wrong and needs fixed. Which is why maps are all half the size and killers all have 14 built-in abilities before you even strap on perks. Survivors are tired of playing this way.
-
Clearly this is a coordinated SWF. Which is not the typical survivor lobby in this game. So this is not the typical results in a match.
understand that you are frustrated that you see the same thing over and over but the developers are responsible for building this dynamic. They have buffed and advantaged killers over and over and over in the last 2-3 years and they force survivors to adapt while killers need less and less skill to accomplish their goal (a win). Survivors (at least the ones I know personally) want to run different, varied builds for different plays or to have some fun but are backed into a corner when Bhvr won't address the rampant toxic killer game play.
That being said I do not run any of the perks above because they work best with a team and I don't play with a team. I am solo or duo. So I run other perks helpful to solo play. But things like unbreakable, DH and DS are just not optional if you want to avoid the trashy tunnel and slug that has taken over.
When this game started that kind of behavior was embarrassing and not tolerated. It was a mark of skill that you played without camp/tunnel/slug but as the developers encouraged it, killers used it more and more. It forced survivors hand too with how they played. Now no one is happy with the state of the game.
-
The only way to reduce your killer MMR is to play a killer you don't usually play. Unplayed killers will have low MMR.
-
Survivors are leaving DbD because it has become almost unplayable for survivors. The killer side has been buffed more times than I can even count, while survivor either stays the same or loses ground. So when ANOTHER survivor thing gets nerfed it is a big deal because survivors (solo survivors the largest part of the player base) already have an abysmal win rate. I agree OP, it is getting to uninstall time, because (I assume) like you I am a surv main that has watched survivor side deteriorate over many years and am tired of watching 20% of the DbD population get catered too.
-
It is proxy camping, which yes, is camping. Killers pull this so they can run out in post chat and claim innocence, but you and they know what they were doing. You probably made the right choice to head out and just go on to the next. Hope you got a killer who actually wanted to play DbD in your next match.
-
This Haddonfield is massively worse than the original map. Tweaking this tiny map with 3 houses is pointless, when you had a decent map and just butchered it.

So why do you think most solo que players, which can easily be more than 50% of entire survivor playerbase, can have 10% escape rates
it really doesn't makes sense really, pick one between "majority having really bad rate" and "SWFs are also losing", it's impossible to have both
Solo survivors make up like 80%+ of the player base, and less than 5% were shown to be 4-man SWfs. The rest is divided between 2 and 3 man teams. So there is no need to be crying about coordinated teams winning when they are by far the exception and not the rule. Every killer who doesn't 4k 100% of the time loves to run up in here complaining that "all they get are SWFs" but that is not even remotely close to reality.
-
Lol, yeah it was back in 2018 and I was in a duo and we were on a gen. The killer (a huntress) was coming but she had a song not a heartbeat. So I stick the gen and my friend was like look at you not running away at the 1st sign of the killer. I really just had no idea I should run or hide.
Later I got hooked and tried my offhook chances because it prompts you at the bottom of the screen and my friend was like what are you doing I am on my way. I did not know I should just hang there or I would die faster.
It was a fun and fast learning experience.
-
I go play killer when I get burned out on survivor. I generally play "No Kill" killer and just try to maximize points for all parties as well as give survivors a break from the sweat. I usually have everyone 8 hooked by 3 gens done so I just go check out the basement or kick out doors till they get the last 2 done. Killer is way more chill and I like to get jump scares with Myers and do meme stuff.

Since every single killer has an at or above 60% kill rate there is no way survivors are running around in here with a 90% escape rate, your math is not mathing bro. If this is personal experience you are referencing, I suppose watch the tutorial and get some practice in.

I have only one time seen the anti-camp mechanism work in a survivor's favor. Once in months and I play nearly daily. So yeah it is pretty much just a sham to make survivors feel like they are "doing something" about trash game play.

Wow, I have consistantly played this game since 2018 and it has NEVER been more killer-sided than it is right now. With more killer buffs on the horizon. This poster must just not be very good at killer (by his own admission he took a lengthy break).
I am a survivor main to the tune of probably a 80/20 split on what I play and have zero problem getting a 4k. My killer mains are Trapper, Doctor and Myers and I sometimes go in with no perks. All the maps are smaller, console/PC mix lobbies are unorganized and generally have no comms and most loops have been nerfed to if they drop that pallet they are useless.
My advice to any killer main who thinks this game is hard and can't find survivors it, go play survivor. That is how you learn where they are, where they spawn, which loops are good for them and which are not. You get a lot better at killer if you are good at survivor.

If you are getting 30% you are doing better than most. This game used to be about a 50/50 shot at escaping. But the devs have trashed survivor side so bad that it is probably around 10% for most solo folks. A huge swath of PC players have just been run off in general and console is new enough to the game they don't really know that is was not always like this.
(Full disclosure though after 6yrs I have a very low threshold for BS. So I bounce if it gets to trashy, thus lowering my win rate not because I am bad at DbD but I just can not abide some people's cheap game play.)

I also do not stream and rarely have video proof. But here is how to address it with DbD.
You have to report them in game at the end. Then also long form report it but submitting a ticket w/ DbD support. You need their profile info so this is only effective with PC players because you can't get to console info (although you can still report but penalties are iffy at best).
Use f12 to take screen shots of the BM-ing so you have some proof and screen shots of the end game chat especially if they admit what they were doing. Upload the screen shots with your ticket.
I have also used my cell phone to video my screen if the abuse goes on long enough for me to get my phone and open it, etc.
Recently got a Nemisis penalized for BMing a Jane and then myself at the end of a match. He was simulating $eggs with both and kept picking her up and then putting her down, or letting her wiggle off to just down her immediately and hump her some more. Her death took about 10 minutes. The complaint worked and I got several correspondence back from DbD support office but it is a time consuming process. I only do it if the griefing is pretty egregious.
Sorry your team mate was unfair to you. Trash team mates are far worse than trash killers because they should be on your side. And it is real hard to fight both a killer and your own team mate. Hope you have better matches.
P.S. I do not run Invocation but have no issue with people running whatever perk build they want. They are in the game to be used.

The majority of survivor players are solo queue. This game is sold on the idea of being a "team" game but never has been. If the developers wanted this to be a team game we would have built-in comms and console and PC would be able to communicate.
This is not the case but developers seem to be buffing killers under the impression that every match is 4-man SWF. If that it the game they want they need to go all in and give comms to everyone and balance everything as a team against a killer. If they refuse to do that, the game needs to be balanced for solos (the largest player base).
Unfortunately the game is based around the killers because people stay longer to play with their friends (survivors) even when the game is hard sided against them. But killers don't have as much incentive to stay and play killer an always solo position. This game will always be killer-sided because of this one fact.

Yes, 2018 here and I miss OG Dbd daily. I would 100% play a "classic" version if they brought out that mode, even if it was just temporary like for anniversary. Even the sketch like hatch standoff and no EGC. I would take the good and the bad.

I play 4-5 days a week. It has been pretty disappointing for a log time. It is definitely not better now that what it was at the Chucky release. And the upcoming changes are moving the game farther in the wrong direction. I think I only still play out of nostalgia. This game used to be so much fun, and every once in a while you have a match reminiscent of those times. Not sure why I bother playing a game that is only really fun less than 10% of the time, but always hopeful it will turn around or something better will come along.

It is interesting that your "Unfun" list consists of both old and new killers. I generally dislike the new(er) killers because they have really gone crazy giving these more recent killers just a ridiculous amount of basekit. When this game started survivors were just like skins, all the same for the most part. And the killers had one special ability that set them apart from each other. Trapper has traps, Wraith could cloak, Billy has zoomy chainsaw, Nurse has blink, Etc. Then they started coming out with killers where it takes 7 paragraphs to explain all the things they get before we even talk about perks. No one killer should have speed boost, AOE, teleport, aura.
I think that if killers are going to start having 4,5,6 basekit abilities survivors should either get one special ability each that makes who you play strategic, or an extra perk slot. Because the divide between abilities is getting ridiculous.
I also think it isn't most killers that are unfun, it is a large swath of players that are. Any player can run back to every hook, tunnel people out of a match, slug everyone (although this should not be a thing, Devs could fix this) ect. Just like any survivor can be flashlight clicky, point out their team mates to killers, fast vault and sand bag. I just have the most fun when people play with integrity and those matches are like unicorns, hard to find but they remind me why I love this game and keep me coming back.
Least favorite killers (in order): LEGION, Skull Merchant, Full Aura Huntress (specifically this build)
Like the most (In order): Trapper, Doctor, Singualrity
