You're still not used to mmr system? =)

Come on, for me it was like going through stages of grief.

I'm accepted that and I feel Good now...

12 stages of grief for the MMR system is honestly the healthiest way to approach it XD

You have to remember for the longest time the Devs said there was noth wrong with Gen repair times and they would NEVER change it....until they actually looked at the numbers and saw that Gens were going faster than they expected.

True. At least with "buffing" solo queues they at least addressed it. So even if not this roadmap, HOPEFULLY, the next.

  • I feel that they should have focused on this sooner rather than later. This game isn't two groups, Killer and survivor. Its 4. Upper tier killers, lower tier killers, solo queue survivors, and Swfs. They nerf something for upper tier killers, its hurts killers like trapper. They nerf something for SWFs bc they're abusing it, it hurts solo queues. This is why its incredibly hard to balance the game.

I can't speak for what they should do for killers because its far more complex, so many different killers, but there is a ton of stuff they can do to buff solo queue survivors. Doing so would put the two groups that much closer together, and make it easier to balance things on the survivor side, which is great for killers too. This should have been on last year's roadmap if not before.

  • They won't. It would have been one thing to just admit it was busted and broken and turn it off. But they kept trying to fix it. At this point, its like going WEEKS after starting a new job, and asking the person who you sit next to their name basically looking like an idiot for not knowing their name after all that time. Would have been better to be like "what was your name again?" on the second day. But the longer you wait, the dumber you look LOL. It would make them look 1,000 times worse if they "admitted it didn't work" after all this time. The hole just keeps getting deeper I guess XD.

I've noticed thats how they handle things they introduce that are just busted or people end up hating. They will just tweak it instead of scrapping it outright, to not look totally wrong I guess. But with MMR we have no idea what they're actually doing BTS with their "you can loop the killer all match but if you didn't escape the trial, was it really a skillful play?" mindset.

Or when they compare DBD to hockey... HOCKEY!!! Cuz hockey is 4 players on one team vs a team of just one goalie the whole game right? XD

  • If you mean in-game information getting added to the hud, such as showing when you're working on a gen and things like that so everyone on your team can see what you're doing? They said that will be put on the back burner until next year's roadmap as it won't fit onto this one. I'm not sure if its a given it will be on next year for sure, but I'd imagine it will be. It SHOULD be IMO. But no new updates from todays dev update. I wish it was on this year's though.

  • They're powers are similar in a way but GF is like a sniper, one survivor at a time (or any amount of survivors he's looking at but they HAVE to be there) where Myers is like a radiation bomb that affects the whole map when he hits tier 3. So you get to T3 off someone, down them, you can go for another everyone is exposed. With GF you get the one hit, but have to stalk the next. They both have their benefits.

Myers running out of stalk potentially is dumb to me. People will say "if you've run out of stalk you've lost the match anyways" and I don't disagree, but thats an outdated feature from what I read someone refer to as "the old days of DBD when it was more of a game of hide and seek" vs now many survivors are out in the open more, like taking chases, ect.

So they both have a different scenario where they're "powerless" i guess was the point, only GF its temporary throughout the match for short periods, and Myers, while not super common, can run out of T3 permanently.

I see how some find them similar, but to me they're as comparable as billy is to bubba just because they both have instadown chainsaws. Similar in SOME ways but play differently in a lot of other ways.

  • dude..... jesus, what's the point of the perk then? they killed the perk TWICE already and you're still worried about 0.5 seconds? if you can't bait it out, they tank your hit, end of story. They use it at the wrong time, you get the hit, end of that story. Not everything is a guarantee and you're not entitled to a guaranteed hit. DH is by no means a "gimme" for survivors using it, they successfully tank a hit with it, they earned it.

Here's the thing, and I really had to think about this for a while and from their perspective.

They can't just reduce the grind a lot and increase the BP gained at the same time. You'd end up with no grind or sense of progression.

You also can't increase the BP you gain by a large margin and then take it away later when you realize it's too much. Everyone would riot and lose their minds.

Their removing bonus BP from perks because they don't think it's a healthy way to gain BP in the game. Agreed.

But they're adding bonuses and penalties in a controlled way so that they don't give too much to where it completely nullifies the grind. Because once they give it, it can't be taken back without major backlash.

So they implement a bit at a time to see how it holds up in live servers. Not enough? Reduce the tax, or increase the queue incentives rates, or give a slight bump to post match BP earned. And you do this little by little until you get to that healthy medium.

May not be the greatest thing in this moment, but may be healthier this way in the long run for the game.

you know, I can see it from that angle too.

  • They did SOME good BP related stuff, don't get me wrong. Increasing the BP cap, now more BP will be earned each match, ect.

But if they were truly listening, people were saying basically that we shouldn't have to pay to prestige and questioning how it reduces the grind if it does.

They could have easily just removed it...

But we still got some good stuff on the BP side.

  • @bm33 said:

Should be 7k MAX if they insist on doing it, make it same cost as Iri node. If they're going to keep it high they should give players a choice - pay ridiculous amount of BP to prestige OR don't pay and just stay at level 50 without getting prestige rewards. I don't care for the charms, cosmetics, or brags but I do care about wasting 20k BP over and over.

    I agree.

  • @QWERRRRTNY said:

You missed the part where not having an option to play with your friends would kill a multiplayer game.

I really feel like people really overblow how often they face a super-sweaty, tryhard SWF. Is it balanced? No. Can they really do anything about it? Also no.

Its really not as much as they think. They just focus on when it does. Same as getting facecamped. It does happen, its not rare, but does it really happen every single game? Not really.

Always amusing when players who aren't very good tell top players to get good.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3054780#Comment_3054780

People who actually play at the top mmr, including me, are saying that Nurse is OP. Why do people who obviously aren't there feel the need to be speak on it? If you are seeing even one D/C against a ghostface in your games it means you aren't facing nurses using busted addons that make the survivors have a basically impossible to win game.

Again, you're just speaking for everyone like its a fact, and imagine using MMR to validate your opinion...the most busted thing in the game. But go ahead and tell your "high MMR friends" that the rest of us low-level MMR street trash (really, MMR? LOL), are fine with the fact that nurse isn't going to get a rework in AT LEAST two years, if at all. go ahead, tell your high MMR buddies the bad news LOL.

The rest of us just learn how to counter her, and when we do get downed or don't escape, we don't feel like we were entitled to do so. We learn and move on to the next match. Have fun waiting years though LOL.

Still can't believe you played the "this is the High MMR club only, see yourself out" LOLOLOLOLOLOL.

What is boring is this overused excuse. It just isn't true, at all.

First, i've never seen someone DC against a ghostface. Huh?

There are many killers that you have to play differently against. Example: Huntress. Try playing against Huntress like you would against a Wraith. Do that and you die instantly.

Playing in a different style is not, and has never been the reason people don't like playing against Nurse. It is, and has always been, because she, much like SWF being OP, rewards the player way too much for the amount of effort put in.

Why do these nurse defenders have to lie in order to protect nurse? Shouldn't that be a sign that she needs to be altered?

People DC against GF all the time, maybe your mileage varies, but I've seen it. He's one of the most DC'd killers that I've seen from my years playing. Also doctor, and recently legion after his rework. But yeah, people DC for ghostface from what I've encountered in solo queues. Its surely newer players but it does happen.

and if countering every killer was the same, would that not be boring to you? Or you like all games super easy and predictable?

And yes, there are killers you DO have to play differently against, I didn't say that wasn't the case. Where did I say that? I'm stating that some people don't like having to switch up their strategies. Sucks for them, but it's true. And it's overused because it keeps being true.

But with the nurse, it's worse than most killers you simply have to change a few things up for, bc you can't really loop her like the other killers. And because of this, people who don't know how, just say she's broken and OP. She IS the strongest killer in the game IMO, but not broken. You stating that that's never been the case is hugely inaccurate. 100% your opinion you're using as a counterargument. Have you asked everybody? No. But you can read what people's complaints are in this forum and that's what it spells out for me. They just don't know how to counter her. Look up tips on youtube, I don't know what to tell you. I'm surely not going to change your mind.

AND I NEVER PLAY NURSE so, I'm speaking as unbiased as someone possibly could without being accused of being a nurse main.

I've used her maybe 4 times for a daily and thats IT.

Agreed, I'd opt out after prestige 6, I dont care about dozens of charms and I'd rather better bloodwebs that are bigger with more useful stuff

Shame 1-30 are nearly full of rubbish, far too many browns and decent amount of yellows with very very few greens

I wish they'd just scrap the perk charms altogether. I don't think anybody wants them cluttering up their inventory.

    did-that-go-the-way-you-thought-it-was-gonna-go-nope.gif

  • I will repeat for the thousandth time in this post, that DC penalties if ANYTHING should be more strict. I'm tired of people DCing bc they're the first down. Or because "oh no, its ghost face, I just can't even (DC's)"

It sucks being face camped, or tunnel, but what you COULD do... is be a sport and hang there so your team can gen rush.

But yeah, I have no sympathy for people who openly admit they just want to be able to DC, especially with no consequence, you ruin the match for your teammates.

If you get camped/tunneld, deal with it, and move on to the next match.

  • @Huge_Bush said:

nah, it’s seems like it’s working as intended. Should be more punishing.

    "MAKE DBD GREAT AGAIN"

  • @Coffeecrashing said:

Finding ideas to punish camping is very easy, and people on these forums have already thought of a bunch of different ways to punish camping.

The problem is thinking of ways to compensating killers if camping were removed. A lot of killers camp because they feel it's quicker to find someone be staying near a hooked survivor, than it is to find someone by patrolling the generators. How are you going to fix that? How are you going to give confidence to killers, that if they leave a hooked survivor to walk around the map, that they will find another survivor?

And a lot of killers camp, because they feel like they need to tunnel that survivor out of the game, because there isn't enough time in the game to spread the hooks evenly between all 4 survivors. How are you going to fix that? Do you plan on forcing maps to be smaller? Do you plan on making it much easier for killers to find hidden survivors? Do you plan on changing maps so chases are forced to end earlier?

TD;LR Are you going to put effort into figuring out how to balance the game if camping were removed, or do you just want to punish the killer, and tell them to deal with it?

The only thing the killer has to do to counter this is learn to live with it. Its a low IQ way to play, and thats why its a go-to.

Now there needs to be some balance. I mean camping at the last gen or in EGC are one of the times where it makes sense, I'm not saying there's never a time for it. But camping at 5 gens, while a valid strategy, involves zero skill, and its just a lazy easy tactic that is leaned on too much. So for "what should the killer do about finding survivors if they can't face camp" is just a "they will get better with practice." This game isn't easy for everyone right out of the gate, nor should it be. Fun yes, super difficult to learn no, but it requires some hours to learn these things. But learning to patrol and find survivors isn't hard.

Now something can be said about some of the larger maps, not saying I don't agree with everything you said. I think they maybe do one map rework a year or something like this so fixing that problem is going to be a slow burn.

  • Honestly, from the title, I thought this was going to be written from the perspective of playing killer and stating how flashlights are "annoying and toxic" and all that... crybaby stuff LOL.

but yeah, while I don't want them gone, I hate wannabe flashlight gods, who simply waste time trying to get flashlight saves. Some bring empathy, and when they see someone injured in chase, they will just stop what they're doing and run that way. And heaven forbid the injured survivor actually loops the killer for a while because instead of the flighlight jocky actually getting a gen done, they're just crouching behind something waiting... and usually they're ass with the damn thing anyway LOL. So I get that annoyance.

For me its the same with CoH, certain survivors will just lean on it. They waste time finding a totem bc they don't know where they usually are, they will continuously bless the same totem after being snuffed bc they can't find another one, and people who play this way are the type who refuses to play injured. In the wrong hands its a perk thats a huge timewaster, just like flashlights LUL

  • They just hate that you can't play against her like most other killers. Its the same reason you get DC's when some survivors find out its a ghost face. They don't want to deviate from there "I just want to do gens and not worry about the killer unless the terror radius tells me they're close" mentality.

If countering every killer was the same the game would be so boring.

  • Really, its not SWFs as a whole, its the bully squads that make the most noise. The well coordinated bully squads. But really, simply going up against a swf doesn't mean they are well coordinated, and doesn't make them automatically good, or a death sentence for the killer. IDK how many times I've faced what was obviously a swf, but them being super altruistic cost them the game. They always want to body block, take hits, trade hooks, ect.

But yeah, the bully squads who are actually kinda good aren't fun.

I'd be down for in-game coms but only if there was an option to not use them, I really don't want to talk with a good portion of what I see in end game chat. Toxic trash or know-it-alls thinking its their duty to quarterback the game... NEWP... But a good addition for those who would use them.

and I'd also be down for them just putting info in the hud as well as coms. When teammates are working on gens, totems, healing/being healed, ect. Throw in basekit kindred, now we've got solo queues almost up there with SWFs, and thats great for the killer too.

Some killer mains don't like this idea because they think every team will become this "dangerous" bully squad, but really, it will make the game much much easier to balance. They can now nerf perks or othe mechanics abused by swfs because it won't be a hard hit to solo queues, which is why they won't nerf certain things.

And yes, I think basekit kindred should have killer aura included. That only hurts campers, and swfs can easily tell their team a killer is face camping so why not?

  • @Jeromy137 said:

If you have an issue with boons so much couldn't you just tunnel out the survivor with the boon?

Killers also have a perk to literally do what you are asking with the same time to snuff it out regularly which only takes like 1-2 seconds vs the 14/24 seconds it takes to bless a totem and an aura reading added bonus for the range of the boon

Yes, also this. Some nerfs killers want, I'd be ok with if they had a perk for it. For example, some want the gates to regress if they don't open it so no more 99'ing. I don't know why killers blame not getting 4k's on this, as it makes survivors come back into the map. If they have to open it, they'll likely just leave, so I think its a pointless change to ask for. But, If they made a perk that did this automatically and the killer wants to use a slot for it, I say, go for it. In this case with boons, there is already a perk for it, and it should require taking up a perk slot IMO.

  • People talk about how boons are OP... they're not... Most boons (all but one... you know the one) are just fine as is. Name a boon that you can build a legit case for, aside for CoH for being op? The time it takes to bless a boon, that only really gives the survivor value situationally, vs a quick stomp? I'd argue its a wash.

This is the issue with CoH. CoH is the swf to the other boon's solo queue. People want these boon nerfs that will just make all the other, average at best boon perks even more useless.

Personally, I think CoH is fine after its 3rd nerf. I'd be ok with them nerfing it again to the point where it doesn't give any boost to healing speed, so if a survivor is healing you, even in the boon radius, still takes 16 seconds, unless they're using botony knowledge or a med kit.

Outside of that I think CoH is fine, and the way boons work in general is fine. I just don't think I've ever played a match as killer where I lost and it was solely because of CoH. I'm sure its happened. Its I'm sure its happened with other perks too. I've probably lost a match because I slugged someone during EGC that had unbreakable and it snowballed from there. But I don't think the perk needs a rework bc the other team got big value out of it.

Sometimes I let them keep CoH if they're the type that won't play injured. They waste LOADS of time healing after hits, and I always know where to find survivors.

  • There are deadzones for survivors too. If killers should get a beefy hook increase, then survivors should have pallets everywhere. No dead-zones for anyone!!!!! I play both and I'd be down for that honestly. Bring it.

But... I'm also down for just realizing RNG, is just that... RANDOM. It can kind of bite you in the ass, but it's also kind of fun that every window, hook, or pallet isn't in the same spot always. RNG has been kind to you plenty of times, you either won't admit it, or are just the type who focuses on when it doesn't. Not every game is going to be in your favor.

  • @JakeCannon said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3050704#Comment_3050704

I try hitting the sebo person and they get the hook done 99% of the time and don't care about going down.

Then drop who you're carrying and hook that person on another hook. All you're problems with sabo'ing hooks have solutions. And even then, they can still get a successful sabo. It shouldn't put you on tilt and ruin your whole game. It will just snowball in their favor.

I mean, you already said you were going to stand by your opinion in your first post. But you're just experiencing something less experienced killers put up with. If that's the case, you'd be better off learning how to counter. Most people here don't agree with you that this is an issue. Or you have played a lot of killers, you just don't adapt.

Either way, you also need to get it out of your head that it's the end of the world for it to happen at all. It happens to me sometimes. But it also isn't successful by the survivors a lot of the time either.

But sometimes, I just didn't see them, not paying attention, and they got the sabo, I can't hook the survivor, I don't drop them in time and they wiggle off, but I deal with it. When I play killer I'm not entitled to downs, hooks, and kills. It would be boring.

  • @JakeCannon said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3050594#Comment_3050594

They will hide in a corner or bush until I'm already basically a couple seconds away from hooking their friend and then undo the hook. Even if I drop them and change my chase and try to slug them it never works

If they literally come in at the last second like that you should be able to get a free hit. They either will bolt, try to restart the sabo, then you can just down them. I hardly have issue with what you're talking about. I either avoid it by seeing it in time, and am able to adapt, go to another hook. Get a hit or down on the one trying to sabo, put the carried survivor down if needbe, or... or...

they get the sabo, I can't make it to another hook, and I move past it. Just because is keeps you from doing your objective, it doesn't mean its broken. It means the other side did a better job at doing THEIR objective.

  • hahahaha, nooooooo no no.... sabo'ing hooks are part of the game. Survivors aren't going to stop, it's a legit game mechanic. Survivors SHOULD try to stop a teammate from getting a hook if they can get a flashlight save, pallet stun, or sabo a hook.

Sometimes you run into a dead zone of hooks and that hook getting sabo'd mean you can either drop them or get the stun when they wiggle off. Thats the game. Sometimes survivors run into dead zones with no pallets, except for maybe 1 or 2 very unsafe ones, no tiles, ect. Again name of the game.

More often then not, if you're paying attention, you can spot someone trying to sabo a hook and you should be able to get to another one. If not, again, its part of the game.

  • @Raccoon said:

I always see people talking about how it's impossible to get kills, how they're ALWAYS being camped and tunneled, how their teammates are bad, how they always face hit squads, etc.

Why are my games so lax and chill compared to what I'm reading day in and day out?

Because you're not an entitled crybaby who's incapable of seeing Dead by Daylight for what it is... a video game XD. A video game that you also have to put in some time to get good at. But people SURE do love to b** about a video game wanting EZ kills, or to only play against killers that don't force them to actually have to change up their game. "Nurse is broken, I can't even, I just can't even ... "

I get a kick out of some of these posts. What's considered "broken" or "unfair" to the OP (shrugs)

  • I think you mean rift, because you can get all the charms from old tomes by going back to them and doing the challenges, unless it was an event tome the meg charm was on (but an event tome would be gone anyway). That being said, my take on being able to buy back charms would be like cosmetics. If it was in the rift, cosmetics hit the store one year later, Charms should be no different. There's one charm I missed out on, from the only rift I never finished and I'd buy it if I could.

But any charm from an event tome, should be a one-time thing like cosmetics.

  • Either the killer can regress the gates automatically with a perk, or should have to manually do it themselves like with kicking a gen, I'd be ok with that. Other than that, this was already addressed by a dev in a similar post. They tried this already, having the gates automatically regress, and it didn't work. They won't be bringing it back. I don't really see it as an issue as is either. Survivors will just leave, and it won't increase your kill rate by much if at all. the fact that 99ing a gate makes survivors feel "safer" to come back into a map for unhooks, is just another opportunity for the killer to get another down. Survivors can 99 a gate, and killers can open the door to create pressure.

  • The only reason I KIND OF want to say "yes" is not because of any killer I just hate playing against specifically. Like I don't dread any killer or get a certain killer that makes me go "I can't even.... I just can't even..." and DC XD.

But there are a couple I'd rather not play against during solo queuing simply because of how most randos play against them. One example is Plague. Most randos on solo que cleanses against her as much as they can. I see survivors STILL waste time blessing a totem with CoH... and will bless it again after it's snuffed out even though its a worthless perk against a plague. Unless she just M1's the whole match but when do they do that?

Or people who will cleanse, and then just hop a gen with you when you're sick, simply because they don't want to find another one, and IMMEDIATELY get sick again, and then cleanse AGAIN... There's a time and a place for cleansing but not everytime you get sick, especially when you mindlessly get sick again which could have been avoided.

The only other one is Pinhead. He's actually not bad to play against, but I'm tired of randos who are afraid of the box. A lot of randos will avoid it cuz "KilLeR mIgHt CoMe...BiG sCaRy' Sometimes you get a random team of G's who aren't scared of it, but I've literally been like "OK, I'm not solving this puzzle this next time just to see if the team steps up. But most of the time nobody would go solve it and when getting attacked with chains, I'll see them breaking chains, getting back on the gen for like a second, breaking chains, then getting back on the gen.

The box is annoying, especially if you have a boosted item, but its not bad. He will teleport behind you, so you can put a strong set of tiles inbetween the two of you, you can wait until he downs someone, ect. Its very counterable but I'm noticing about 70% of the time solo queuing 2 or 3 of your teammates just ignore it.

  • Me exercising my bragging rights in endgame manually bc the players I'm playing with/against can't see it.

Me: "psst...ggez, lol j/k... by the way... while I have you... The Ace I was playing in this match was P3'd before the new midchapter went live. Sorry, don't mean to brag"

The Meg in the game: "How do we know you're not lying about P3'ing your Ace before the mid-chapter went live? You're probably lying."

Me: "Well you can't see the peepee glitter, but he's p3'd I swear"

The Killer: "You sure didn't loop like a player who p3'd his character before the mid chapter update went live... yeah, I think you're also lying. Just get gud already"

Me: "I'm reporting you....REPORTED!" (uninstalls the game in disgrace)

  • I feel like this literally doesn't happen to you EVERY game. I play both, I always clarify that. And when I play survivor, I don't get tunneled and camped EVERY game. Face camping is trash, I get it, but it happens from time to time and people want to act like it ALWAYS happens specifically to them, every match, bc they want an easy game every time, and get upset when a game prevents it and they focus on those games only. Killer mains make bogus claims about this kind of stuff too.

The fact that you claim that when you play survivor you always get new players for teammates, and when you play killers its ALWAYS against professionals, pretty much sums up your mindset to me. You're the "why does this always happen to me" type, and will only see your matches as a whole with this filter on. I'd even go so far as to assume you call certain things tunneling that isn't tunneling at all, but cause anything and everything is tunneling to some these days.

They put a bandage on tunneling for this patch, and did NOTHING for camping. Knowing this, at this point, why play if getting camping and tunneled SOMETIMES bothers you? Its not going a way. Which is sad bc they could make face camping not worth it for killers but they won't.

  • Yes, I know legacy isn't coming back, blah blah blah, not the point I'm making... I just don't understand BHVR's stance on not wanting to do "exclusive" cosmetics anymore, yet they do them for every event. And for licensed characters, most would have understood with the explanation "we can't do cosmetics for those, but you get 6K shards for each licensed character P3'd" or something along those lines. Using licensed characters as an excuse is a cop-out.

But in any case, as someone mentioned, a P3 reward shouldn't have even been announced. This was a thing where you should have gone big or not done anything at all. Rewarding hard work with recycling some animation from the tome, or wherever it came from, kind of reinforces the "quick fix" method BHVR is famous for.

Sure, some people would have complained about not getting anything for all their hard work, but BHVR is getting that now with the lazy reward given. Even knowing ahead of time, it wasn't going to be a cosmetic and just an icon, I thought it was going to be something original you worked on, but again... just recycled garbage. At least both sides would have been saved from what we got LOL. Hindsight is 20/20 though I guess. At least they knew in advance we'd want a feature to turn it off straight away if we don't want to see our favorite characters peed on (which is actually telling us they knew it wasn't very good) XD

What do you mean "no counterplay" ?

Find it first and close it.

After seeing that word used so for do many things that have counters, I'm beginning to wonder if there isn't a lot of people who do not understand what "no counterplay" actually means.

We already know that here, the word "boring" is often used in lieu of "difficult" so it's not a stretch.

Yes, yes, and yes. Agree 100%

  • So we're really just going to forget about the HUGE hatch nerf that happened not too long ago? I'm for the nerf but we're going to act like the hatch is busted because the survivor escaped because they found hatch before you could close it?

Counterplays to simply losing a footrace, especially when the killer is faster, aren't needed. Make it to the hatch first, close it. You don't, survivor probably gets out. That's the game.

If a killer only gets a 3k because of a hatch escape, that's still a win.

  • Honestly, if you let this bother you, they win. Mommy and Daddy BHVR aren't going to go talk to the principal about it for you either (the entity is the principal.... I guess? IDK... LOL). Its been said already. Ignore it, go break pallets, walls, see if you can catch the hatch when they do leave, or push them out. If someone clicking a button in a video game can affect you, think about this... this is literally a highlight for them... sad right?

It never bothers me when they do this. I don't even go to the gate.

And I teabag as survivor... not needlessly, but I do it when I'm running out of the exit gate playing against tunneling trash, or those big bad "hook hitters" LOL. You give me BM, I give you BM,

Its all in good fun. Its literally a video game that shouldn't add to our real-world problems.

We'll get a cheap special effect. Only yourself can see, like a clown.

That;s our dear Dev's fantqacy idea 😅 No sincerity at all

If I were a developer, I think N*30W blood points should be given to each character who has reached Prestige level 3.

    and new unique outfits

Cheap yellow special effects that only you can see? Who cares about that kind of rubbish stuff. The new characters in the back cannot enjoy this, which will only make which will only make players who are pursuing perfection uncomfortable.

I should have kept all the flans LOLOLOL. I still have a lot... but if I'm going to "flex" a reward only I can see, it may have well been a few thousand flans instead of 4-500.

  • Keep the new system as it, but either give 2X bp, or make everything half as much, and for godsakes remove the 50K prestige "tax"

    There, fixed it LOL

  • 'Killswitch DH because I don't like it" LOLOLOLOL

I agree. ABSOLUTELY AGREE, Baron. I'd love that.

Because realistically I only like a limited amount of charms. I like my Pride Charms, I like my Holiday Charms, I like my charms from the Trickster & Yun Jin Chapter Rift. That's like, IT. I shouldn't have to scroll when I want to go to those.

I also kind of want a feature where we can just trash charms but... I know if that feature did get implemented, people would accidentally trash a charm they actually wanted (unless there was a temporary recycle bin), but to save some people from that headace, just being able to favorite and forget the others are there would keep it, at least seem more organized on the surface LOL

Moving forward, I hope they stop with the boring brown corky-looking charms. Some look ok for killer's hooks (not a lot but some LOL) bc they can actually be seen. But they at least need to stop making those for survivors. Any charm that we, for the most part all like, like the 3d ones, animated/motion charms, even 2d ones that have lots of color that are actually cool and visible like the pride charms, some of the saw ones, and event charms come to mind, would be great if they JUST made charms like those, and I'm totally fine if that means we get less charms overall. We don't really need that filler.

  • these long bleed out sessions, yes they do happen to me... but I really could count on one hand how many times a month this happens to me, and I play a lot. When I weight how boring it is vs how little it happens, I don't know if its worth the cons. For it to be worth while, but also not abusable as a "free DC" for people who simply just don't want to play there'd have to be a some measures put in place.

Like only if every survivor is down (obviously, I know this was said already), and so much time would have to pass after the last survivor goes down, just to ensure no unbreakable/exponential play can be made. sometimes the killer messes up and doesn't get to a hook in time. They may have flip flop, and boil over. Bam, back in the game if everyone's 99'd.

What if the survivor picked up first has powerstruggle and actually gets value out of it (rare... I know LOL)

sometimes I'm down with unbreakable 99'd because the killer is somewhat near. It would blow to see someone force a bleed out when I was about to pop it off.

So they're a lot of scenarios that can happen that get wasted if the survivors have an "oh well, we all just got slugged... see ya" option

So even if they had this feature, there'd need to be limitations, or it'd be abused. All in all, I personally don't think its worth it, having the killer get a 4 person slug fest and choosing to just let them bleed out isn't a common thing like camping. At least based on my experience

  • I would at least like to be able "favorite" certain charms. That way any charm you like, favorite it, and they will be up front in rarity order. Then after that, the unfavorited ones start. Thats THE LEAST they could do to help our charms not be so cluttered. I like some green, yellow, and the occasional brown charm, but I HATE flipping through pages and pages. Just favorite once and good to go for later.

I mean, yeah, also stop making all the plain jane garbage ones too, that are 100% worthless on survivor LOL

Boon: Circle of Healing is a handout of free health states in seconds. Deserves a counter-handout, what's the problem here exactly? Survivors get handouts by being able to crush a Totem they cleanse but Killers need to run a perk to do the same?? Killers can only rekindle Pentimento which can also be instantly cleansed while Survivors can rekindle all of their Boons with no penalty and cooldown? How is this fun and fair? If I wasted time finding the totem and snuffing it out, I deserve at least a cooldown.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3042098#Comment_3042098

Not a fun game mechanic. Doesn't stop a 4K because Boon players tend to be bad at the game too because they lose chases too much, but it turns a 15 minute game into a 40 minute game just to get a 4K.

Hardly a handout. Heals in seconds? That used to be the case. Honestly, so many survivors rely on COH so much they throw the game over it, but we never hear about those matches. IDK how many times, I've snuffed out a COH boon, hear another boon a minute later, and go right back to that same boon to see the adorable survivor that lit it the first time self-healing. Or...

let them keep it. You can be sure if they think they have a "safe space" you'll know where to find them.

Also, lets not forget the COH users who can't find totems to save their life. So they don't find one until 1-2 gens are left, wasted a good chunk of the map finding one, and in that case, it really didn't affect the game that much, or the first one they find is out in the middle of the open so they waste time blessing that. And I just pray and HOPE they're the type to re-bless a totem I just put out when its out in the open LOL.

It's not super hard to find them.

The only change I'd be like after 3 nerfs of that perk + a new perk that destroys the totem if you're really worried about boons, would be no speed bonus for getting healed or healing someone else in the radius. If someone wants to heal you, its just the standard 16 seconds (honestly playing killer, I couldn't care less if they did make that change). But I don't think anything is necessary to tell the killer where the boon is. Putting solid map pressure solves most of these problems, and them taking the time to heal everytime they take a hit bc they have the good ol' boon safety net, can be used to your advantage.

And all the other boons are pretty much worthless. Shadowstep is ok. but you can't think putting a change on all boons just to nerf the one you think is op, because it makes all the other ones even more worthless. If you want to suggest nerfs to COH SPECIFICALLY, regardless of what I think is good or bad about it, at least you're not suggesting a change for all of them for the sake of simply "I can't find it" but saying "the speed is too fast they should nerf it." That doesn't affect the rest of them (I think the healing speed is fine, but just an example).

What do you want? Instadown while breaking a pallet? I dont get it.

Thats how the majority of Killer main's posts read to me this past week. They ignore all the sweet buffs but yet they still want more and pretend only survivors got anything. Apparently DH is even more OP than before, but I didn't get that memo LOL.

I've seen posts demanding they take away the ability to 99 gates, cut the pallets down to half the amount, killers shouldn't lose bloodlust unless they hit the survivor but not breaking pallets, DH needs to have a timeframe where it has to activate after hitting E so the killer can more easily bait it out, the radius of the boon totems should be visible to the killers, and apparently, every map has too many god windows and god pallets.... the list goes on.

I see whiney survivor posts as well but I play both... Most of what I read here is just regular obstacles that come with the game, and you are never just entitled to easy escapes or easy kills. It never comes down to "I just need to put in a few more hours to get better at looping (both sides) things like that. Its always the game thats busted (shrugs)

The most brutal, annoying and disgraceful thing about BHVR is they will never admit to making mistakes. They will go for the idea they had designed, even if the entire community would tell them it's bad.

Admitting to mistake is never a loss. It's victory over ignorance.

@Peanits - Everything would be perfectly fine if you hadn't touched BBQ/WGLF. Just Don't. Seriously. I beg you.

Personally, I wish they'd just make the BP bonus from them basekit. That way we always get the extra BP and don't have to run those perks if we don't want. But having that BP either way is nice. They can easily put this back after seeing all this, and its such an easy fix, whether it be back on the perks, or just basekit (better option IMO).

  • On myers, Clown, and Legion, I have 26 each. I didn't go as hard for flans for killers. For Ace, my main-main survivor, I have 102. My other mains David, steve, and Mikaela, I have 60 each. And scattered among other random survivors I have 101. 461 total.

Would have had more but spent some prestiging (MISTAKEEEEE LOL) but I was as strategic as I could be.

  • "Please make it so boons can be found instantly" is just asking for handouts IMO.
