  • When you DC when it's not directly your fault (directly is important) yes, it happens. But if it happens twice or something, maybe your internet is just bad for some reason (and that happens, believe me I know) but you STILL insist on playing, DC penalty should apply. From time to time I involuntarily DC due to network disconnecting and I don't get anything close to 12 minutes. I don't even think it's a full minute.

So the first couple DC penalties are not anything to write home about so you have wiggle room to account for stuff like that. But if you're getting 12-minute penalties you're DC'ing too much to the point where the others are intentional but failed to mention them in your post or you're computer/internet is proving to not be reliable, you're still choosing to play, and you shouldn't be playing unless you're willing to risk a DC penalty because its an issue you're aware you're having over multiple matches.

I could be wrong tho, if DC'ing once ever results in a 12-minute penalty I have yet to see it myself.

  • I'm the same with event items. For the most part. If they have an item from the event currently going on, or maybe JUST ended, especially when the event items now are the same as the previous year's event, I take that into account and don't necessarily feel bad if they lose that item. But also they may not 100% do the same design for the next year's event but even so, it's fairly common at the time. Easy to get more. But an older discontinued item, for sure (unless they have a death hook/mori coming to them for being crazy toxic). Not too long ago I saw someone with a 5th anniversary medkit. I mean why bring it? I never bring old stuff like that LOL. But still, I wasn't going to take it from them either, and they were being cool.

This also doesn't count as letting someone go but if I see someone doing a gliff or they have to interact with something that's crazy obvious for a challenge, I don't interrupt them. Winning isn't so gd important I can't let them have the 5 seconds. When I was playing survivor during the Halloween event, and was trying like crazy to get a killer to bump into a ghost it meant the world to me when I stood near one, pointed at it, and finally got a killer that didn't just try to down me immediately and they went ahead and ran into it for me. So I like showing the same courtesy (again... not if they're going out of their way to be crazy toxic).

And no, I don't think the killer is under any obligation to let a survivor keep their items, escape, or let them do a challenge, it's just nice when it happens is all. You never know, they may have had 4-5 bad matches in a row, and that's enough to turn their night around.

  • Cheating is a bit of an overreach let's be real. Not knocking your friend but that's try-hard nonsense. Personally, if the game doesn't come with crosshairs built in, I would say only use any third-party crosshairs (or physically adding a dot to your screen) for "training wheels" which is 100% fine. Then work away from them.

If you want to play as a DBD "purist" then yeah, don't use them strictly for that reason as the game doesn't have them built in, but it's not cheating.

  • Someone asks my opinion of DBD.

Me puts palm of hand to my mouth and makes fart noise XD.

Kidding, but it honestly depends on the person asking. If they're not patient, hate games that take some time to get good at, especially if they're not the type to put in that time but are also super competitive, I would tell them as much and say they may not like it.

If they're the opposite of that person, I still make it clear that if they're a completionist, or at the very least will want most the characters, I tell them that this $20 game comes with a bill essentially hundreds of dollars, or in the case of grinding, hundreds upon hundreds of hours to unlock characters (or is it thousands? IDK, I haven't done the math).

But in either case, I tell them I like the game, tell them why, but I feel there are always disclaimers that come with someone asking if they should play. LOL. It's a weird game to recommend to someone tbh.

  • On paper I agree the idea of some perks (sparingly) should not work on certain killers. It's a conversation I don't think is too ridiculous to consider at least. However, it's a slippery slope. I think it's just better all killers have access to all perks. Otherwise, we're just going to be having post after post of survivor mains asking "Why can X killer use Y perk?" Killer mains will post about "why can't X killer use X perk?" It will just become another thing devs have to focus on and focus less time on just balancing the game based on how perks work, how killer powers work, fixing bugs, ect.

And we could consider making certain tweaks for perks and how they work on certain killers, but that's also way more balancing/tweaking the devs now have to take into account and more of their bandwidth taken up.

Again, I think it's an interesting topic to talk about. There's logic behind the question, no doubt. I just think the "perks for all" system is best overall.

I've been using Overcome and Lightweight lately and their strength is in the fact that it takes killers by surprise. They don't see it enough and don't expect it. I've been playing alot with literally only those two perks (my goal is to go perkless) and I find they give me a decent amount of chase value so I'm not completely useless to my team lol

    That combo sounds great together!

  • Honestly, nothing to say but take a break or quit altogether. I don't mean that as negative as it sounds but I took a break for like 3 months just because I got so SICK of DBD. I'm back now and love it like I used to. So that was real feedback, not me taking a jab at you. But those are your only two options aside from playing a game you don't enjoy. No video game is worth your time if you don't enjoy it.

  • Take away a killer's power and no one will play them? No... can't be true XD. But seriously, and I'm not being short with you, but why not just take a break from the game, it sounds like you're not enjoying it. It also sounds like you don't actually want the game to be challenging and take it way too personally when you don't escape. Saying "you want the game to be challenging" but then talk about how wraith of all killers is OP just tells me you don't really want a challenge, you want easy escapes every time. The game needs hours put into it to get good at it, and even then you'll still not escape or get 4k's every game. Just the nature of the beast that is DBD.

  • I love lightweight and here's what I love about it. It doesn't seem that a lot of people use it which means killer mains don't complain about it 24/7 so it's likely going to stay as is for a long time. Having scratch marks vanish 5 seconds earlier than normal is crazy good IMO. But there's no cooldown, no requirement like needing to be injured, or token based. Just plug and play, you get value from it every second of the match.

  • @Ink_Eyes said:

To be honest the counterplay for being tunneled is getting better at the game, get good at looping. I have gotten into 5 gen chases because the killer wants to tunnel me so hard that we end up winning with the killer getting nothing in the end. But it seems like ''get better at the game'' is an impossible task for some people especially for this community.

Well people would rather blame the game on being "opposite role they play-sided" and on "OP" perks. Yeah tweaks with perks need to happen from time to time, sometimes they are broken or have nasty synergy with another perk, but when I see either side calling out for nerfs for perks that are not OP, maybe considered slightly strong at best, I see that for what it is. People don't want to put in the actual hours to become a beast at looping, or they don't want to get better at mindgaming, ect.

  • End of the day, if the team was cool, I'll go back, if they weren't being so cool, I still MIGHT but depends. If it's a weak killer, and we're well on our way out but then we get hit with NOED, the killer starts getting down after down, I'll try to do what I can but I hate rewarding NOED with a 4k and you're going to give them that if everyone is going down near each other most likely. If I'm the one who goes down, I actually hope the team just leaves if the killer is going to camp the hook. And if I see them all crouching around looking for an opening, while also not looking for NOED (maybe they can't if it's too close to hook) I just kill myself on hook as a way to say "Its ok... I want this... I want this" LOL. But again, if a killer gets stomped but gets a 4K with NOED those are just kind of the breaks sometimes, and it's kind of funny a game can swing like that.

But in your case, I can't say because I don't know why the killer was all of a sudden getting downs after getting stomped. Did they have NOED, or were the other 3 suddenly getting careless and trying to bully them? I'll just assume from context the team wasn't being unbearable and you all played at least decent together so nothing wrong with going back. Leaving would have only been the "wrong" move if they were getting you flashlight saved, and body blocking for you, ect.

I agree, they should add the oldest DLCs to the base game. Hag/Ace would bring access to Ruin and Devour (Hexes are strong with newer players), Doc/Feng would bring Overcharge/Lithe/Alert, and esp. Clown/Kate would bring two meta-perks with Pop and Windows. They would still have to be leveled, but at least they could be free.

Imo it would be perfectly fair to up the cost of the base game to 25€ as compensation.

Yeah, I agree. If they added those older DLCs but up the price of the base game a bit that would be fair. TCM is like a $40 game so DBD would still be a steal compared to that.

  • I've thought for some time that the 4 oldest paid survivors and maybe 2-3 oldest paid killers (non-licensed) should now be free, or the older they get (again non licensed) should be much cheaper or sold as bundles to offset the fact that the game as far as content goes (Call them the OG survivor/killer bundles or some **** LOL), has grown so much and what someone pays $20 for the base game vs what they get is not very appealing. Not when you look at how much additional content there is. The game is continuing to grow and the base game should as well. Then give people who already bought those DLCs shards or something. Maybe an exclusive skin for those characters IDK. They'll get over it tho, I promise XD.

Now that there are 6 survivor perks and 3 killer perks that are now paywalled again, I think this is even more true. Even when you factor in you can buy the non-licensed characters with shards, its still a huge grind. It SHOULD be a grind if you're obtaining content through grinding vs paying cash. If there's no grind there's nothing to play for, but the grind can still be TOO much.

I already have every DLC and will have the Chucky DLC 5 minutes after it drops so I'm not complaining on my behalf, just what I think would help newer players want to stick around.

idk I feel like the OP was pretty clearly talking about the strategy of a killer loading into a game and immediately intentionally only walking between 3 generators, kicking them and hitting a survivor if they're nearby, refusing at all costs to acknowledge anything outside the few tiles those gens are on. that's why they said the killer 'only' protects the 3 gen, why they described it as a 'tactic', etc. at the very least I would hope you would recognize blaming survivors for the killer deciding to use that strategy is factually incorrect

If that's what the OP meant by 3 genning (like the killer does it intentionally from the start) then yeah it's a super boring, low skill style of play. And those matches will take forever if they dedicate themselves to those 3 gens and won't leave to take chase. It's just hit, back to gens, get a hit, back to gens. ect.

I would compare it to the playstyle some newer killers did before NOED got nerfed. Some killers would play regular, and they'd have NOED if they needed it which was fine, but there were some who were only playing for the NOED. They just wanted to get instadowns, and camp hook probably hoping the whole team would rush to save them. You could tell the type because of the way they were phoning it in the whole match, letting survivors genrush because they didn't really care to put in any effort until NOED was activated. At least in those games, the endgame came quickly.

At least 400k because of the grind it takes to prestige a character, and you'll spend that 100k in two webs if even , depending how high you are, isn't it 50k or 20k just to get to lvl 1 again at lvl 50

You mean once you finish the lvl 50 bloodweb how much is the cost to prestige after? 20K to prestige and go back to lvl 1 of the bloodweb.

  • I mean honestly, and I play both sides, I don't think over powered is accurate for this perk. It's strong. And I wouldn't hate a longer cooldown, but cool with not having one either. I see this perk talked about like it's an all-you-can-eat aura reading buffet for killers. It's not even an aura reading perk. If you scream, just leave. It only gives snapshot information. It's a perk that may require you to take a chase. It's that simple. Someone has to take chase, what's the difference if a perk makes you that person? Gens are the most boring part of the game anyway XD.

  • As someone said, it would make sense for adrenaline to wake you up, and in general I roll my eyes when I see people suggest nerfs for the perk as it's fine as is IMO (and I know the OP isn't making the case for that either, they're just addressing this perk in that one instance) BUT... BUT...

Yeah, Freddy is a joke which sucks because I will start playing him at some point just to continue to learn every killer. I say, if the devs can just make adrenaline not wake survivors up from the dream state, give the man all the help he can get. He needs far more than that. Like maybe being able to teleport to gens even if they're already completed. But the adrenaline thing is SOMETHING LOL.

  • My hot take? Any survivor that looped you for 3-4 gens with the old MFT (still the current MFT I guess) would have still done so without it about 80-90% of the time. And for the other 10-20% they would have still gotten 2-3 XD

  • While we're at talking about OP killers like Wraith can we finally talk about the Clown nerf that we've been asking for? XD

I kid, I kid... we have fun here LOL

  • @Crowman said:

The DBD community has gone down a toxic direction and honestly it's very difficult to find many good sports in end game chat. Personally, I turned off chat because 99% of time nothing good comes from it.

Honestly, it was a tough decision as I've met a lot of cool people in the end game chat but I'm so tired of crybabies, complainers, and sore losers (or even entitled winners that still have something to gripe about) taking up most of what goes into end game chat aside from "GG" so I just turned it off also.

I actually don't mind trash talk, I'm not sensitive to it and can dish it out, and it's actually fun using it as an opportunity to turn the screws on someone who is obviously tilted because it's funny to me when someone is so heated over a video game but yeah... the entitled complaining. I'm over it.

  • If we could sell back inventory items and offerings at even 10% of their bloodweb value I'd be a happy [not face] camper XD. Obviously, 35%-50% would be great too. But selling them back for BP for any % would be better than having to just sit on years of useless addon/offerings.

  • @Seraphor said:

They're fine. But Sprint Burst was always better than MFT anyway.

Broad strokes I agree. Sprint Burst is the better perk. Sprint Burst is only a good perk tho if the suvivor knows how to use it right at least. If an inexperienced player uses sprint burst all they do is walk around not "waste" their sprint burst and they waste a ton of time making it basically a debuff for the rest of the team LOL. But anyone who uses sprint burst that way likely wasn't getting a whole lot of mileage out of the 3% haste anyway I suppose.

  • I want to say they said next patch. Or maybe they said "a patch in the near future" IDK. But if you have Demo, Nancy, or Steve already at P3 at the time of the patch where they reassign the perks to the Stranger Things characters, you will then have their perks unlocked at tier 3 for everyone.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

Bubba - "basically has no real counterplay." he has plenty of counterplay.

Adrenaline - "for too little effort" well you have to survive to end game. A lot of the time you get no value from it.

HUD changes- couldn't disagree more. You seem to contradict yourself too. You say it only benefits good players and bad players ignore it but at the same time you say it discourages players to learn and it's "training wheels". But like you mention the Hud doesn't make you a good player. The Hud only tells you what those on comms are able to communicate.

Everything this person said... 100% agree. Bubba has counterplay, adrenaline is too situational and as far as "little effort" all gens have to pop so it has to be earned, and for the HUD, as a soloQ survivor, I get SO much value from this. If you want the game to be balanced on the survivor side easier they have to close the gap between soloQ and SWFs as much as possible. Otherwise, they make things stronger for soloQ and its too strong for SWFs. If they nerf something too strong for SWFs then soloQ suffers. SoloQ having some of the same info available to them SWFs have, bridges the gap somewhat. And do some bad players not give a crap about what's going on in the HUD? Sure. But there are a lot of us who actually use it so the bad players will play poorly either way, who cares?

For POV, Chucky needn't be any shorter than Victor, Hag or a crouched Pig/Ghostface.

Carrying a survivor could be an issue, but depending on how the power works, or if any new animations have been made, there's so reason why they couldn't have a solution to that. Maybe he drags the survivor, or uses some kind of voodoo.

They probably won't make a skin for Victor, he's a power, not a weapon, and powers don't have skins yet.

AHHHHH, good point about how carrying a survivor could work. I was going to mention something along the lines of "maybe he could use telekinesis or something like that but that would be out of place since he's never used anything like that" but voodoo? Yeah for sure. He could hold up his hand and say a chant or something and the survivor lifts off the ground and they float as he walks. The animation would be the same length as a normal pick-up animation. Definitely could work. Well we'll see. I'm excited to find out, and trying to keep my expectations reasonable regarding if the killer even is Chucky (I'm leaning more towards it is).

  • @Science_Guy said:

I think BHVR can and should be far more generous with IS. There's such a massive number of character to unlock at this point that it's kind of crazy you only earn enough shards for 1 or maybe 1.5 characters for every 2, or even 3 that drop every three months. I don't think more shards would hurt the cosmetic cash train either, when the 21K you need to save for a single outfit is nearly good enough for a whopping 5 characters if you buy them during an event.

The Shrine is also long overdue for a rework, although it's been suspiciously generous lately.

Beyond those issues, I think the grind is in an okay spot now. The fact that new unlicensed characters are now guaranteed to have their perks in the Shrine within about two months of release helps a lot with perk accessibility. Prestiging itself is really simple now. Doing it even three times on one character is a breeze. It's still a bit harder for killers when it comes to perks on characters you're not interested in, but I don't think the sheer number is a problem at all. Having 30+ killers just means hundreds of hours content if you're brand new. So many different playstyles to experience if you choose to, to ignore if you want, and you have as much time as you care to put into the game to get to it all. Not so bad.

You pointed out that there is a system in place regarding new perks from new DLCs being guaranteed to be in the shrine within a certain window, that's good to note. I would love it if there was a better system in place for the rotation of perks, but knowing at least there's a window for the new perks is something people can plan around at least. I didn't know that was a thing.

  • I'm all for Chucky coming (if/when that happens) but can someone explain how they think that would go seeing as he's so short? How would carrying survivors to the hook work? The only thing I've ever seen suggested for bringing Chucky into the game in a way that works (tho it'd be slightly weird XD) is just to make a legendary skin for the twins and make Charlotte into Tiffany, and make Chucky into Victor and add some new voice lines (by the real actors one would hope LOL).

So a bit weird as Chucky doesn't ride inside Tiffany like she has a kangaroo pouch on her chest LOL but at least there is already a tiny character in the game who has a purpose that doesn't include carrying survivors. So that being said... if Chucky is coming, either next chapter or at some point how do you picture his power working and how his size would be addressed in the game?

I'm all for a fun sized killer as it would add some new dynamic for things like flashlight saves and all that, and he would be harder to see coming but I personally just don't have any ideas for how they would work him.

  • @C3Tooth said:

3 years old original chapters should have 25% off, 4 years old with 50%, and from year 5 with 75%. In both Auric cells & Shards

Yeah, that's cool too I think. Older DLCs sell at a discount. They got new chapters coming all the time so they have plenty they can sell at full price.

  • @Dustin said:

    I'm thinking about new players.

This is also why I feel the grind still looks overwhelming.

Make at least 4 more survivors and 2 more killers free with the game so new players have access to more perks when they buy the game the game.

For the most part I feel unlocking characters with Shards is fine but I'm not against the suggestion personally I just don't see it happening.

Make the shrine way more robust

I was under the impression BHVR was planning to rework the shrine a while ago but we haven't heard anything so nothing to add here.

    Perk tiers

I agree but I think BHVR touched up on why this isn't happening and instead prestiging gives everyone a single tier of a perk if they didn't have it already. I feel removing perk tiers wouldn't affect the grind but instead make balancing stuff easier because you wouldn't have arbitrary scaling components of a perk to pad it out.

Lastly, there really is no downside to making things in the bloodweb either much cheaper

Personally I feel the bloodweb cost is actually fine - especially with the amount of bonus BP weekends and other promotions there is now. Although some require you to pay attention to social media to get codes or relying on people who do pay attention to share codes with you. There is Twitter, Amazon Prime Gaming and in game events that give rewards.

    Here's my honest take

I feel the grind is fine for older players who have a decent amount unlocked but I've come to the opinion that if you buy a DLC you should get the tier 1 perks unlocked for everyone. Veteran players only take a couple of days to prestige and newer players have nothing. Yes the fun in this game can be progression but we now have enough of that with the archives, prestiging and soon to be banners and icons in lobby. Plus unlocking cosmetics by playing.

So yes I feel there should be a step new and old players alike should skip considering there are 30+ characters on each side. For those who grind iridescent shards to get characters sorry but for us who pay money yes we should get more benefits to doing so. Especially now that DLC seems to be being priced higher overall.

I will say, something I forgot to include, while mentioning stuff about the shrine is you absolutely can buy characters and their perks with shards. And the amount of shards they cost is just fine. I was focused my opinion of how I think the shrine needs some tweaks to remember to keep that in mind.

  • @MikaelaWantsYourBoon said:

For old / veteran players no. Grind is fine.

For new players? Yes. Grind is still insane.

I think solution will be: Add some older original chapters to game for free. There is countless chapters already.

And make tier 1 perks from base game characters already unlocked on all characters. So this will help to new players try base game perks.

I like that. Keeping 3 perk tiers but just unlocking tier 1 for everyone. Would help big time.

  • BHVR is never going to do this. You've made it clear by meme builds that these include perks that don't work together. But perks not working together isn't the only thing that makes a meme build. For instance, running flash bang, head on, blast mine, and red herring. All those work just fine together, but their intended purpose is just to waste time to set a blast mine, make a flash bang, jump in a locker to alert the killer, when the killer kicks the gen and gets blinded, jump out of the locker (with head on if close enough) and then throw down a flashbang. They could have just finished the gen but chose to meme with that build. Maybe for stream, maybe for youtube, maybe just for laughs who knows. This build in question would also irritate you I'd assume,. So it would take a lot on BHVR's end to go through all these perk combos to decide what is and isn't a meme build.

Honestly, if I ever find out they're taking time out of their days to do this (they won't, but IF) it would really annoy me and many others because they have better things to do with their time and resources IMO.

I'll find common ground and yes, sometimes is a bit annoying if I see 2 or 3 teammates goofing off, meme build or no, but end of the day I get over it, and either join in the fun, or just try to get BP. It's really not a huge deal. I've also 100% been the person "goofing off" so I can't really get too mad XD

    No hate whatsoever BTW

  • I play both sides. I try to clarify that because you get labeled a survivor main or killer main on a dime. but...

Adrenaline "needs" a nerf? You get value out of it once per game and that's IF all 5 gens get done and IF you're already injured. You get the speed boost even if already healed but you may not even need it for that 5 seconds if the killer isn't chasing you. It's one of the good perks you actually get with the game. Not everyone can buy DLC after DLC for perks. And I barely use Adrenaline BTW.

I get MFT needing something. Either take away its endurance, or don't make it stack with things like Hope. Done. But doing anything with its 3% will only make the perk unusable (which is what killer mains want, but I don't really mind running against it).

BU and FTP... sure, I can see something needs to be done. End of the day it's something best used by coordinated SWFs. You are NOT losing games to this by solo queue survivors. And it's wasting someone's time having to follow their teammate getting chased. So only 2 survivors are free instead of three. But there isn't really a counter to it either like if said teammate was following to get a flashlight save. Both survivors are given a free hit so the killer is screwed either way. So sure. I agree with something needing to be done.

WoO isn't really OP either IMO (another perk I barely use BTW). Again, what can really be done to it without just killing the perk? Make the aura reading on a cool down? That's fine I guess. Not needed, but sure. But if you're getting roasted by survivors because they have WoO you just have to put in more hours. They were going to likely outloop you anyway. Nerfing every survivor perk under the sun that gives some value isn't a substitute for experience. And for killer, if you play a wide variety, just has a higher skill ceiling. It's ok to lose and not get 4Ks. It's ok to not escape every game. Tweeks are needed sometimes, but sometimes people just want the game on easy mode.

So I agree that half of these perks need some kind of change. And MFT is already confirmed to get something done. It will either kill the perk, or they will do something reasonable but killer mains won't be happy. Not every survivor perk is going to get the DH treatment, sorry to say. And if it does, it will take a long time.

  • OK..... I'll be sure to let everyone know, we didn't know it was making you so angry. Our collective bad XD

I just gives a bubble up, not an aura, you can just walk behind cover... It is really not that hard... Yeah sure the debuff is a bit much on top, but the perk is really not as op as people make it out to be...

I agree. People act like it's an all-you-can-eat aura reading perk.

I posted this before the 2nd level opened, and with my math, you're 200 DT short. However, the 2nd level is now actually open, and the reward for finishing it is 400 DT, as opposed to the 200 DT displayed when I took the screenshots. The reward for finishing every challenge is now exactly what you need to buy everything. Mystery solved :)

I did notice that in your original screenshots the DT in level 2 were only going to be 200 vs the 400 we now get for completing the level. But I've seen people claim they will be 25 or 50 short and found out why that was the case for me. Bonehead oversight on my part but figured it may help out someone who also suffers from "chronic not paying attention" XD

  • Figured this out the hard way. I see people claiming they will be 25 DT shy, or however much. You're adding up what's left to buy. That number is accurate. Then when you count up how many DT are left to collect from the HBD tome and find you're 25 or 50 DT shy. Its because you have a challenge selected to begin/continue, and when you're counting unfinished challenges you're likely skipping over your current challenge selected since it looks highlighted like the completed ones thus leaving you short however many DT that selected challenge is.

I was going to be short 25 it seemed until I finally realized I wasn't counting the challenge currently selected which was 25 DT I haven't yet collected. Kind of a DUH moment but it's an honest oversight. If you see you're short and it's not because of this, I don't know what to tell you. But that's why I thought I was going to be short LOL.

  • Love this idea when it comes to hexes lighting up only after their effects have activated. I would still argue that if for whatever reason, a survivor just randomly cleanses a totem before a totem lights up, like at the very start of the match, the same audio explosion can be heard by the survivors like with cleansing a hex now, just so they know they cleansed what would have been a hex. It's just nice when you're guessing the killer's perks, it's harder to do if you guess the effects of 3, but can't know for sure if the unknown 4th is NOED or whatever. I'm not married to that, and that wouldn't devalue the idea of hexes only lighting up once they're active. But IDK, not a huge deal I suppose either way I suppose. Love the OPs idea in any case.

i think older chapters should become cheaper at this point, at least for in-game currency. Completely free I don’t know, I could see plenty of people getting upset over that.

I agree some people would get upset over that. People have complained at an 11 for much much less. I do think that with how much this game has grown content-wise, the base game should grow a bit with it, even if its just one more killer and survivor. And for those who bought it, IDK, free shards to make up for the fact they spent money on it? Maybe shards AND a sh!t ton of blood points too? There's just a ton of reasons for this game to be overwhelming to newcomers when they not only see how much paywalled content they have to unlock to get perks, but when they start to realize how long it actually takes to unlock perks (1.6mil per 50 lvls I think?) I'd say that we could do away with tiers 1 and 2 for all perks and just have the one lvl at whatever they are at tier 3. I know they just reworked the bloodweb to lessen the grind but it's not enough IMO, tho that's an entirely different conversation.

But as far as making at least one older paywalled DLC free, at least newcomers would get free access to a few more free perks considering how many they have to pay for if they want to unlock at least a decent chunk of them. Yeah, some would b** though, you're right about that XD

  • I noticed when they wanted to gut spine chill people immediately pointed out that it was a crutch perk for people who are Deaf or hard of hearing. They immediately acknowledged it because they realized they didn't really have any features in place to accommodate people with these issues. Seemed like it's something they may not have thought of. So they decided to keep it active for a terror radius for the time being, but now we have the heartbeat feature so a perk slot doesn't need to be used for a visual aid.

All this being said, I think that spamming noise notifications and its effects on people with certain stimuli to noises may never have crossed their minds. So maybe this thread will be another "#########, we never really thought of that. Yeah we can easily fix this" because as a couple of you mentioned, a cool down after two should be enough. After 2 the killer really doesn't get any new information anyway. Hope BHVR sees this thread and takes note of it.

No worries, in my games at least people are remembering how good sprint burst was, I am running vigil + sprint sb myself, soon the entitled killer mains will blame their lack of skill on this perk now

They're always going to have a crutch to lean on LOL. Its always this perk or that perk, there shouldn't be god pallets they're too op, its BS pallets don't get blocked by the entity like windows (like... break the damn thing GEEZ), 99'ing the exit gates is too OP, even though blood lust got a buff losing it by breaking a pallet is also "busted," something extremely situational like heal teching is apparently this HUGE "exploit" ect, ect, ect LOL. Anything that a survivor can use, its broken. Let's get rid of windows while we're at it XD

  • Some people say this is the worst patch ever, others love it. I was more in the "cool to see them shaking things up" camp but after seeing this in one of my games.... nah... worst patch ever... PUT IT BACK! 😂

  • I mean, I don't understand what these pictures are, to be honest LOL.

Kidding aside, these aren't infinite loops...

I love this is being called an exploit with all the justification of "cuz I feel like it".

I don't know why some people want a game with no meaningful interaction in it and it's not an exploit you just can't interact with an object the same time a survivor is.

Honestly, its grasping for straws IMO. A killer loses a hook to this out the gate from time to time. How often is it really happening though? We're talking a scenario where if multiple survivors are at the open gate right next to the exit, and they have to be close for this to work, the match was over anyways. At least the prospect for a 4k. But this is one of those things, its super frustrating so it weights heavier in their heads I guess as a kill just slipped through their fingers, so it starts being called an exploit to justify it.

  • I'm P1'ing as many of my characters as I can. End of day, I have the amount of time I have, can't change that. But it'd be nice to know if today was the last day or if I had another week. They KNOW people are doing this too. If its coming down to the wire at least give us a day.
