The problem isn’t really people playing with their friends, the problem is the strong builds that don’t have variety.
Strong builds on all 4 survivors are what take the game to an unbalanced level. If you get 4 survivors in a lobby who aren’t even SWF but can play at high MMR with DS, DH, BT, and Unbreakable, there’s not much any killer can do.
-
Cause gens go vrooom that’s why
-
A little bit of all. Generally at the level of gameplay I’m currently at, I can’t afford to play a killer with weak chase potential and good gen defense, or good chase potential but weak gen defense.
I will usually run killers with high chase potential, some form of gen defense, and maybe surveillance or discordance from time to time.

I think I had maybe 5 and only got the 100k, which is reasonable. For 100+ offierings you definitely should have got the full 1m.
Yes this. I’m not asking for 300 million bloodpoints or whatever. But I think I deserve the same amount of bloodpoints as the person who had less offerings than me at the very least.

It's been like 4 days and they haven't even acknowledged they made a mistake. No fix is happening. Sorry.
It would be nice if they could. @MandyTalk do you know what’s going on?

Platform: Steam/PC
Role: Survivor
Queue: Solo
I noticed that when I equipped the new Steve perk, the one that used to be Second Wind, it caused the game to be infinite load.
Thats the only thing I changed in my build and it started happening.
-
I been 4K’ing most my games as killer, nothing too different than the norm for me at least.
Survivor queues are too long so I can’t help you there.

The devs haven't said anything and I wouldn't expect them to say anything.
If they are working on a solution to the hacker problem, telling everyone (which includes the hackers) what they are going to do is just going to give hackers find something around that before it even gets put out. Would still be nice to hear them acknowledge the issue.
Yeah that’s what I meant. I guess no reassurance on a very detrimental topic of the game is what they’re going with atm.
-
Yes and no. Billy yes, Nurse not exactly.
With Nurse you’re not just limited by the capped fps, you’re also limited by the lower sensitivity. This means that a PC survivor with a “high enough” sensitivity will be able to more easily dodge your Nurse blink attack.
As compared to a Nurse on PC, she can move at a higher sensitivity and therefore her post blink attack has a wider margin of area to swing into, therefore, being able to keep up with the survivors extrapolated movement.
-
I wish I had the option to just drop whatever bloodpoints I currently have for them to immediately level up the bloodweb for me.
The condition would be to go for “more desirable perks” and always guaranteed the minimum amount of perks are taken for you at each bloodweb.
-
There’s way more survivors in queue then there are killers available during certain hours of the day.
The matchmaking (MM) begins prioritizing survivors by how long they have been in a queue rather then what rank you are. This is meant to get you in a game as soon as possible (quantity in time) rather than a an overall balanced experience (quality of match).

"Sorry to have to be the one to break it to you." Why say something like that? Patronizing me adds nothing.
Many console players have stopped playing (and therefore stopped buying DLCs) because of this issue. What the stats are on that, I wish I knew. And the mega threads of posts complaining about optimization issues proves how big of an issue this is.
Companies are not immune to poor choices. They go under. Games die. Investors make mistakes. So do analysts and developers. If this issue is not important to Behaviour, then quite simply, they're wrong.
I understand how you feel, I’ve been asking for console optimization since it launched on consoles back in 2017. My point remains, the cost is greater than the income and this will not happen until the income begins to greatly exceed the cost. They have all the data, they’re analyst know it’s not an investment worth making at this point in time. That’s just how the world works, at the end of the day they are a business just like other game industries.

You spend money to make money. Games die all the time. If they want to keep making money, then they have to have a product worth the time and money of those who play it.
Not if the incentive isn’t high enough. People are spending money regardless, hell, the last chapter (arguably the worst patch drop in DBD history) saw the highest player count on Steam ever. I’m more than certain their analyst have worked out the numbers where the cost outweigh the potential benefits. Sorry to have to be the one to break it to you.
-
Business 101 for Otz and everyone else who is saying “why hasn’t this happened yet?”
There isn’t any profit to be made off of this change, only intense lengthy labor costs. That’s the reason this change has not happened nor will it happen until resources become more easily available or technology has a much bigger advancement.
Until then it’s just an expensive project.

Third this. My MMR games were very good and I am happy with the results of the test.
Also OP just because you have 150 days it doesn’t mean that your MMR is high. This is a big misconception with users who have time played judging others’ based on theirs. Time does not equate to skill.
-
+1 this, hopefully it comes back permanently next time.

I don't think anyone actually answered you, so...
SWF MMR will be averaged. So lets say you have two at 10,000 and two at 6,000, the average MMR of that SWF is 8,000, so the killer should theoretically be around 8,000. (completely made up numbers of course)
Thanks! I didn’t know what the others were talking about but this answers my question. Wish I could give you more than a thumbs up, like a star or something. Wait, here’s one ⭐️ :)

the ‘S’ may be for Springtrap. Only putting this together since the ‘S’ is hidden and for some reason Ace seems to be “trapped” in their other post.
If you zoom in there’s also 2 of the letter “i” in the word ‘circus’ for some reason. They spell it “ciircus” instead.
-
Unfortunately, yes. My experience with console survivors is usually a negative one. I think it has to do with the amount of casual players that exist on console. People who game on a PC have to invest more money into their hardware and usually take games a bit more competitively because of this cost. No one splurges on PC parts to use it occasionally, not initially anyway.
-
Make him M1 you. Doesn’t have to be vaults, could be pallets too. Stand at the pallet when he gets close and make him hit you or he’s forced to let you loop it at least one more time.
-
Literally just got this like 5 minutes ago. I’m glad I wasn’t in a game though. Platform is PC and in NA region if it helps.

It has ended, from what I'm seeing there's a visual bug where the BP symbol still has the "glow" but the extra points are not actually added to the account. I believe a restart does fix this.
Gotcha thank you! Please close my thread 😎

Did you comment on the wrong post, my guy? What you said has almost no relevance to what I had said.
Ofc I did. My point was it is applying to other perks as well, such as Prove Thyself, and who knows how many more. This might be related to a bug that happened almost 5 years ago.
-
If you’re an OG player you’re probably getting flashback for when perks used to stack multiple times like old Leader, Unrelenting, etc.
Prove Thyself does seem to stack but ONLY for BP and not gen speeds. Not sure about the other perks yet.
-
Try it on Wraith coming out of cloak. He is a beast without it, but with it no one sees it coming, especially at pallet loops. Very fun to use. Also, not every perk has to be straightforward, this one took a bit of critical thinking.

Dude, it's literally a three second cooldown. They didn't "gut" her at all.
I think it’s more like 6 seconds for two full blinks, if you miss, it adds another second on top of that. So approximately 7 seconds without add-ons.
-
It’s his ADS no one likes, really easy to bait movement.
I suspect he will be changed to have a way slower ADS, just like Pyramid Head was with his trail of torment.
-
It’s the sensitivity cap on the mouse that makes the difference. I’m the game options, the highest sensitivity you can have for PC and Console is capped at 100%, however, the mouse part of PC will always have its own unique sensitivity (known as DPI) which is hundreds of times higher than the game is capped at. This is what makes the movement faster, more precise, and more enjoyable.
IMO this is an advantage for PC as you are able to change the direction of your Hitboxes much, much faster, therefore dodging hits and making vaults more doable.
-
He’s not even that great, once you find a way to play around his uncloaking you can even avoid his lunges at most loops, even with some of the most experienced Wraiths.
-
play a meta killer: Nurse, Spirit, Blight, Hag, Oni, etc. Also don’t rely on gen regression perks too much, they don’t pay off as well with daytime/afternoon survivors as much as they do with evening/night time potatoes.
Strategize your prey. I know it doesn’t sound fun, but if you’re really getting gen rushed and can’t do anything about it, find the weakest link of them all and get rid of them ASAP.
Play survivor for a bit, maybe you need a little break and/or a point of view of how survivors are playing during the time you play killer, so you can plan more accordingly.
Lastly, as recommended by the big dawg CEO himself, play Civilization. (this ones a joke btw) :)
-
Nope, might want to double check all your hardware and connections (Ethernet, WiFi, router, etc.) are stable. Maybe there is a piece that is even outdated (CPU, GPU, Motherboard, etc.) or maybe there are some server issues? Patch seems to be fine for me, NA region.
Forgot to add, double check graphic settings, they recently capped fps to 120 as well, this might affect the FPS drop more if you’re used to playing on higher numbers.
-
This has happened to me as Bubba and as Blight so far, very strange feedback to process mid chase.
-
Unfortunately there’s no money to be made from this. Similar to optimization, it costs more than it would make them. I don’t blame BHVR, it’s just not a necessity to invest in for the time being.
-
The first Christmas Winter Solstice was my favorite. Just the sound of the haunted bells gave me chills.
-
I think most people are missing the point in how frustrating this game is and most bugs seem to appear as fast as 1 can be fixed.
Opinions aside, most of what you’ve spoken is facts. The forums will always find ways to criticize you. Twitter users (and Instagram users to an extent) will mostly wholeheartedly support your points.
-
This has been happening a lot lately. I think it has to do with killers taking a break and queue times returning back to normal due to the ending of the 5th year event. The less killers playing, the more wacky the MM will be as survivors are prioritized by time and then quality.
You should see it back to Event queue matchmaking when the Bloodhunt begins on the 29th next week. Then back to what you are experiencing now short after.
-
He deserved a crown for the anniversary event IMO
-
If you were around for the infinites that you could run on Haddonfield, you’ll know they took the easy route by nerfing the perk Balanced Landing. Saves them time and money.
This is no different for Stridor. Ignored the main problems but changed it enough so it doesn’t require time and effort to properly fix.

@Pilot said:
Nope, PTB started last week
- You're looking AT LEAST 1 more week until 20th
- OR, until 27th, 2 more weeks. Which is the trend right now, 3 weeks for PTB until LIVE release.
darn, really looking forward to the remodeled characters. But yeah I was hoping they would expedite it due to console performance.
-
Wraith is fine, he’s right where he needs to be. They might need to increase the rarity of his All Seeing add-on, but that’s about it.
-
The amount of 99% blinks,1 blink only bug, dead zones, and more bugs introduced with each new map, graphical update, and patch says otherwise.
Anyone who says Nurse is overpowered or “brain dead” hasn’t really played her or is just going with the trend.
Good job putting those people in their place though, I would say keep playing her.
-
DC’s are ruining the event.

@Squirrel_Thicc said:
If they nerf nurse again I'm out.
I think that’s why devs won’t touch spirit. There are only a handful of viable killers in red ranks and if 1 of them gets pushed down, it’s gonna make queue times worse which in turn hurts their wallets.
-
@Underskilledkiller said:
Dont wanna sound cynical but as killer its a benefit to have high ping rather than low ping the dev update is addressing this tho
I wanna believe that but they have said way too many times they’re gonna fix the way hits work and nothing has changed IMO.
Saying they’re gonna fix it this time has really left a bitter taste in my mouth. I think it’s more of a “I’ll believe it when I see it” thing now regardless of what they say.
-
I think he’s fine, people just need time to start learning and playing around it.
That being said, I’ve won against these ads-ons more than I’ve lost against them. Just my personal experience, but I understand those that have not acquired the time played can see it as a bit overwhelming.
-
Yes, sadly adding blood to other skins is not profitable so it most likely will never happen.

First event? Welcome to DBD.
