It just sucks because I play games and they usually end up like this here in the photo I attached. I mean, look at that broken scoreboard. Killers got it way too easy and the bp is sad for survivors. It’s worse for those that get tunneled and face camped. You wonder why people disconnect. And this game punishes you for it. This game posted was a billy that basically Billy’d out and then billy’d back when the guy got unhooked (another form of tunneling)
we got the gens done down to 2 left, he stomped on hatch and I had nowhere to go because I can’t open gates faster than he can billy chainsaw his way around the map 😂 it’s whatever. I don’t think this games very fun to hold down a button and stare at a progress bar to repair gens until I become someone’s 4K every game. Nahhh. DC penalty? Nah, I don’t like that. Makes it more frustrating to play a game that’s even more frustrating. I consider this to be a killer sided game for sure. Where are these sweaty SWF teams at? I don’t have these magical Houdini gen rushing teammates ever playing solo 😂
You simply lost to a killer. That's no reason that this game is killer sided. The killer probably just played better that match.
Unless the killer tunneled like crazy, and I mean actual tunneling, this post just makes it look like you can't lose at all.
Just like the killer mains that want every killer buffed into oblivion, even those that are already strong enough.

Well, my basic wins with him has been 8/10 matches I get 4k with consistent rate. That includes games where I hook everyone randomly, not tunneling, not playing dirty cheap tricks on survivors, but just normal game. People just don't seem to be able to hold long chases with me anymore unlike when I play with any other killer in the game. The fact that I can just deny people the ability to use windows and pallets just messes up their run. It's both hilarious and sad. It's like they don't have anywhere to run anymore.
Not to mention, I can't remember the time when I have seen red rank players unable to finish a single generator in the entire game before I am able to win the match. That's just unreal, but I manage to achieve even that with the Doctor, using constant map awarness and pressure tactics across the map. This includes maps that are football stadium large and not very good maps for the Doctor.
Well, I guess the Doctor was either perfect design to my playstyle and skill level, or I think he's pretty op. I do remind that I am rank 1 both as survivor and killer, so it's not like I don't understand the ins and outs of this game. That's why I feel like the Doctor is pretty op compared to other killers.
To be fair matchmaking and ranking is a bit screwed at the moment. I'm also getting 4ks a lot at the moment, with other killers as well, but certainly not because killers are op.
His chase potential is great, though survivors that know how to go against him can still waste precious time of him for sure. His tracking is also good thanks to Static Blast, but he does lack in map pressure since he has no mobility, so patroling gens isn't his strength at all. Of course Static Blast helps a bit with map pressure, but in comparison to someone like Billy it's not that good. Which is why I think he is generally quite balanced.
Killers like Hillbilly, Freddy, Spirit or Nurse are all stronger in my opinion.
-
I don't really think there are any op killers at the moment, nor any op killer perks, and the game has much more survivor sided maps that need to be looked at. There aren't many maps I would call killer sided.
I think by far the most frustrationg thing to deal with as survivor is camping. And I think at the latest once more maps have been balanced out to be less survivor sided, so killers have more counterplay to have a better chance of keeping up with fast gen times, camping needs to be looked at. Because once we have more viable killers in this game, that have a better chance of winning, killers shouldn't still have a strategy like camping be as strong as it is now.
-
I feel like survivors suddenly getting a speed boost like sprint burst in the middle of a chase when a gen gets repaired would be beyond frustrating for the killer, especially if the killer would have gotten a hit otherwise, so I would disagree with that.
-
I don't think the stealth potential of those maps should be weakened. I just think Familiy Residence needs to be made smaller, and both maps should have less safe pallets and more mindgameable ones as well as a higher pallet density, but that's it.

literally has doctor profile pic
Pretty much as expected. You completely ignore what I wrote in my post and twist my words so you can make some kind of reply.
I was not speaking about myself anywhere in my post. I just said that it's ridiculous how you accuse anyone of being a biased Doc or killer main when they defend Doctor. No where in my post do I mention myself. And yeah, Doctor is one of my most played killers in this game, but he's not the only one, I play enough other killers as well.
It's whatever though. You are of course entitled to your opinion, but dismissing anyone's opinion who defends Doctor is just sad, really.
I honestly doubt BHVR is stupid enough to give the Doctor any significant nerf, especially since they just reworked him and made him actually viable a few months ago. Some very small nerfs and changes in general to make him a bit less annoying for those that dislike going against him, that's likely and would probably be good, but surely nothing more.

In the end it is ignorance or incompetence.
What infite does sanctum have?

I highly doubt it. Everyone has their own prefernces of what they think is fun. I can't see any killer being liked by everyone.
If I had to guess the killer who the least people don't enjoy, I would say it's Demogorgon. I only see people say how they enjoy going against him.

I actually like that he has a lot of different aspects to his abilities, especially the added afflictions he can give you with his addons.
Even though it does seem like a lot though, all combined still doesn't really feel op in my opinion. His chase potential is great but everything else is just ok.

I posted a poll like this too early as well, not finishing all the options I wanted to give.
You can just rename the post and call it deleted or something like that, and make a new poll, if you want to. Or just @ one of the moderators if I'm not mistaking, so they delete it. Sadly I can't find the message that was sent to me when a mod deleted my poll that I posted too early.
But on the other hand this poll does allow one to choose whether Doc is op or not so that's maybe enough already.

I would say the Treatment Theatre in Léry’s Memorial Institute. It’s my favourite map in the game.
It’s small enough to make patrolling generators easier for Killers, but not too hard for Survivors to find generators. It also has a lot of good chase routes and equal opportunity on both sides for mind-gaming. And it has nice cover for Survivors and for stealthy Killers. The abundance of windows also makes it bearable for The Huntress and The Deathslinger.
It equally provides advantages and disadvantages to both sides. It’s also aesthetically pleasing. I’m disappointed that it didn’t make it onto this list.
I didn‘t choose that map because i thought dead dawg saloon is at a very similar Balance level as threatment Center. And i sadly only had 10 options available.
-
SWF isn't even that bad.
People would abuse this to try and get easier matches. It would also cause swf parties to take ages to get into a match, which in return could very possibly result in many people leaving the game for good. Also, many swf survivor teams just play for fun without using comms as a big advantage, and they would wrongfully get punished as well.

Yeah I figured a poll did exist, I was just pointing out old Murdle's misunderstanding of what "objective" and "true" mean when you don't list any evidence to back up a claim and then wanna spout off like your opinion is somehow superior to everyone else's strictly because you say it is or you say "well I talked to 20 people and they said this so I must be right" nonsense.
That poll is interesting cause it does illustrate that mob rule is not how to balance killers. As you said, Legion got second place clearly for his annoyance factor, which admittedly is still rather high, but as a viable killer the poor edgy gang is at the bottom of every tier list imaginable along with Bubba and Clown.
Yeah I agree. I can't believe he actually accuses all people that think Doc is fine of being Doctor mains, and that they use their own, biased statistics, and then continues stating that these 20+ people who hate Doc are objective statistics. Like what the actual hell?
Also, many people that I see on these forums that say they find Doctor unfun to go against even admit that they don't think he is op, just annoying to go against. And I definitely wouldn't mind if the devs tried to make some changes to Doc to make him less annoying for those people.
But using that for your own goal of getting Doctor nerfed to the ground is just ridiculous.
-
Low tier killers are very map dependent, and even then, if you go against optimal survivors, you'll most likely lose. Just accepting that and simply trying to do the best helps me enjoy playing with those killers a lot. Just try to get as many hooks as possible.
-
The only killer that gets my blood pumped personally is Oni when he gets his power. That's when things actually get kinda scary, because I know if he sees me, I'm in a lof of trouble and very likely to go down fast. Which is why I love going against him so much.
Though stealth killers can of course be a bit nerve wrecking and cause some nice jump scares.

"Here's something that's true and actually objective."
Please stop using words if you don't know what they mean, anecdotal evidence from a sample size of 20 people (who are your friends, and thus may be inclined to agree with you anyway) is not "objective" in any way, shape, or fashion.
Also "least favorite" and needs a nerf are two different things.
"Some of my friends are also strong killer mains so take that information how you will."
Oh nice appeal to authority. Well I'm a rank 1 killer main and I say Doctor needed a QoL buff forever, his stance dancing was clunky at the very least, so "take that information how you will".
"Here's another objective piece of information. I've looked at polls and or posted discussions and looking at all of the replies and votes, doctor is among one of the top 3 most hated killers to play against.
#1 being freddy."
Citation please.
Seriously, if you wanna argue an opinion go for it, but stop talking like your opinion is somehow "objective" or "true" when you have absolutely no clue what those words even mean.
This is the one poll on the forum that has been made recently regarding which killer is the least fun to go against: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/134293/what-is-the-least-fun-killer-to-play-against/p1
Doctor is tied with Clown on the 4th place.
Just imagine every killer getting a nerf because they received more votes than the average killer on polls like that. Legion has the second place, just imagine if he would get another nerf, lol.

That's definitely not biased coming from a doctor main.
By 95% of the community you mean 95% of people who play doctor or main killer, actually. All made up and biased statistics. It means nothing.
Here's something that's true and actually objective.
I met a lot of friends (well over 20 people) on dbd and some of us party up and play a few games everyday.
Nearly all of them have complained how the doctor is their least favorite killer to go up against, and that he needs a nerf.
Some of my friends are also strong killer mains so take that information how you will.
Here's another objective piece of information. I've looked at polls and or posted discussions and looking at all of the replies and votes, doctor is among one of the top 3 most hated killers to play against.
#1 being freddy.
I think he can use a nerf cause honestly.. The majority of survivors do not enjoy playing against him AT ALL.
Dude you are so freaking laughable. Anyone who speaks up for the Doctor is immediately a Doctor main in your eyes. Anyone who disagrees with you that Doc needs some huge nerfs has to be a Doctor main. Any normal player has to hate Doctor, or he is clearly a Doctor main.
And then, if that's not enough, you accuse people defending Doc of using their own, biased statistics, and then state that you heard from like 20+ people that you played with that they all hate Doctor, and call that an objective piece of information? What?
Can't deal with the fact that people actually like Doctor, and that some people don't have a problem going against him or actually enjoy going against him? Of course not, because that might mean you are just not that good at going against him, or that your opinion isn't shared by everyone, and we can't have that, right?
But sure, nerf any killer to the ground that have even just a slightly higher amount of people that don't enjoy going against them than other killers. Let's see how you'll enjoy your survivor queue times then.

Are you two talking about the rework to him, or the buffs that happened in the deathslinger patch, after he was reworked?
-
He is semi stealthy to me. With the right addons and Monitor, he can be extremely stealthy, and I'm pretty sure that's not a bug. His purple addon I believe reduces his Terror radius by 8 meters, and the yellow one by 4 meters. Combine that with Monitor and he only has a 4 meter terror radius when aiming down sights, which can be really good, the downside is that he is insanely slow when aiming down sights. So most likely not a bug.
However, those are just specific addons and a perk that allow him to reduce his terror radius so much, so in general I wouldn't call him a stealth killer. He still hase some stealth to him though, because unlike any other killer who has a 24 meter terror radius, he can hit you at range, which means survivors still sometimes don't have a lot of time to react to Deathslinger's terror radius before he is in range to hit a survivor with his harpoon. Since his terror raidus is 24 meters big and his weapon range is 18 meters, there's only 6 meters that Deathslinger has to cover during which survivors can hear his terror radius before he can technically hit the survivor with his harpoon.
His downside of course is that he needs line of sight on you, so if objects are in your way right next to the survivor, his stealth potential is more or less lost.

I don't know the individual map names, but I would probably say Autowrecker. I assume the one I like is Wreckers Yard. It's got plenty of opportunity for survivors to hide and chase. It doesn't have any obnoxious corn or reeds for killers to get blinded in or survivors to be too immersive. It has straightaways so killers like Billy can use their high mobility abilities. Good car loops and windows for trappin. I like it anyway. :)
Maybe this page can help you. That's where I got the names of all the maps: https://deadbydaylight.gamepedia.com/Realms
Wrecker's Yard is the Autoheaven map with no distinct landmark that the other maps don't have, and the killer shack with the basement is always in the middle of the map.

Just read your edited post, which sounds much more reasonable. Your original post just sounded like map reworks won't do anything as long as generators get repaired so fast, and that survivors objective time needs to be increased for this game to ever not be survivor sided anymore.
I don't think anyone is expecting every single killer to magically become viable with map reworks. The point most people make is simply that gen time shouldn't be touched and isn't the main problem, but that maps need to be made more balanced so that killers have more counterplay to keep up with the fast gen times. It's not going to magically solve any balance problem this game has, it's just the main way to make matches feel more balanced for killer as well. Then killers can also be properly balanced around the more balanced maps.
Of course killers will still need individual changes. I mean, if BHVR actually managed to create a map on which Leatherface was viable, killers like Hillbilly or Freddy would be broken on that map. As long as killers aren't all on at least a similar power level, there will always be underpowered or overpowered killers that need buffs or nerfs.
I believe once most maps are well balanced, some killers will still need some buffs, and some of the top tier killers will probably need some small nerfs.
-
I highly disagree. The entire map has only one safe pallet, the shack pallet. Every other pallet on that map is either mindgameable, or completely unsafe for survivors. Add to that it's relatively small size compared to most maps, and the map is certainly not bad for killers. The map certainly has some good windows, but they are made much less safe when the nearby breakeable wall is broken, which is only fair given how the killer has a lot of counterplay at pallets already.
In fact, if I would change one thing about the map, I would have more mindgameable pallets spawn on it, because at the moment I feel like the map doesn't quite have enough pallets for how none of them are safe.
-
Deleted, double post.
-
It's a good perk that helps you to know where to go next in order to apply good pressure, which is something you really need to do as killer in this game. Gens get repaired fast so wasting time looking for survivors in areas no survivor is is a bad thing for killer.
There are other perks that help with this just as well in different ways, I definitely wouldn't say the perk is op in any way. I believe the only reason it is used more than other good perks that help with applying map pressure is because it also grants the killer player double the amount of Bloodpoints. But I think the perk is completely fine and not op in any way.
You also have counterplay to it, by hiding your aura behind a generator's aura, by going in a locker, which also hides your aura, or by trying to stay within 40 meters range of the killer.

And here we disagree. Generator speed is in my opinion fine as it is. Let me explain by starting with explaining value.
In theory, a hook is worth just about 8% and a generator is worth 20%, since you need 12 hooks as a killer and 5 generators for survior to complete your objective (we ignore now, that survs have to open the exit gate aswell). But these are only numbers. Lets go into detail so you know what i mean.
The first hook might be in fact just the 8%, actually sometimes even less, because of a few factors:
- The playfield is big, generators are spread out on the map
- All 4 survivors are (hopefully) on generators and you can only chase 1 guy at a time
- All pallets are still up
The same goes for gens (big playfield, all are working, all the resources for surviors are there)
By nature, the killer has (and has to have) a bad early game, and the reason why this is is because:
From the moment on, the killer hooked the first guy, every next hook becomes more and more valuable, since the dynamic of the game has now drasticly changed: Suddenly it changed from all 4 survs on gens to 1 Survivor on the hook, 1 is safing, one is getting chased and one is on a generator. On top of that, pallets get broken, the playfield becomes significantly smaller due to low value generators that have been done and the killer has constant pressure.
Every generator becomes more and more valueable and harder to do in the middle and late game, but on the contrast, it becomes more and more easy for the killer to get hooks, kills and genpressure (smaller playfield, less pallets for the survivors, more pressure, more downed people, more room to play for the killer like i said)
It is the NATURE for the game, that the first generators has to pop really quick. If that does not happen because of longer repairtimes, survivors wont stand a chance to succeed the last generators because of already named reasons.
When we look at the saloon now with its handful of extremly unsafe and its handful of very unsafe pallets, with like i said a massive deadzone where 2 gens have spawned, i dont see fairness at all. Especially in the endgame when those unsafe pallets are broken there is not a lot room to defend, especially since at that time, 1 or even 2 survivors should be dead normally, if the killer is decent.
The reason why i think that many complainers here are bad is because they apparently have problems i simply dont have, naming genrush. And i am not a progamer or anything. If i can do it, everyone else should be able to do it aswell OR at least be able to learn it. It is a little funny when people complain about the Ruin nerf and that it was just to please the baby survivors, but on the other hand, the same people complain about genrush, which is normally not a problem when you are a decent killer.
I really think, killers had more then enough buffs in the recent past, i think it is time to finally fix some of the issues that are in the game for ages like unfair Addons, Offerings or Items (Moris, Crazy addons like iri head, Keys)
You're completely right about the generators, pretty much sums up exactly why I think gen speed is fine as well, and why these videos of matches where a generator getting repaired in 30 seconds doesn't prove that gen speed is a problem in any way.
However, generators don't take long to be repaired, 80 seconds when repairing alone or 44 seconds when repairing with someone else isn't a lot of time, so it all comes down to how fast a killer can actually end chases, and how good killers can keep survivors off of gens. Which is why I think Saloon is mostly balanced, because it definitely gives killers the chance to down survivors fast enough to keep enough pressure on the survivors, but survivors also still have the chance to survive long enough in chases to get gens repaired. Because I have also seen pallets on that map that are mindgameable. And the actual Saloon has some really good loops that can waste a killers time quite a bit, plus the map has a few other pretty good window loops as well.
I do want to add that the scenario of one survivor hooked, one going for the save, one being chased and one repairing a gen isn't always happening. Normally, killers won't be able to down survivors fast enough before the hooked survivor gets unhooked, so you'll still have enough time where multiple survivors work on gens. But a map like Dead Dawg Saloon does allow killers to have a chance to down survivors fast enough in most cases so that survivors are constantly pressured and can't all work on gens, but I don't think that the map is so bad for survivors that even if they play well, they won't ever be able to last long enough in chases for survivors to get unhooked and for them to make proper progress on gens. I don't see that. Especially since a killer has to find and get to a survivor before they can even start a chase. Which again is why maps shouldn't be too big as well.
I do underatdn your point of having deadzones on that map and having too many completely unsafe generators, and I think I know what area you are talking about, as I said, I do hope they add a some more pallets that are mindgameable to the map, especially in that area. However, as survivor I just try to get those gens finished as soon as possible. And with all the other window loops on that map, the pallets that are mindgameable, and the good stealth options that map gives survivors, I think survivors still have enough to work with to be able to win against killers of equal skill level on that map. I just wish the map had a few more pallets.
-
Not a good idea in my opinion. Survivors offen enough don‘t have the option to heal, so they would just bot ne able to di anything, and this would hurt solo survivors more than swf survivors, since swf van tell wach other where they are. Self Care would become mandatory.
This would most likely just butcher survivor and killer queue times. I think making more maps balanced is all the game needs.

Oh fair enough, I'm sure those threads existed as well, and I'm sure it was a lot of the same issue, killers who were unsure how the map worked, didn't know where the unsafe loops were, etc.
It did feel like the survivor tears were a little strong with Saloon, and I chalk that up to the map being smaller, so survivors do get chased more often on that map, it's not something like Disturbed Ward where if you play passive enough you can have five generators and walk out the gate without even SEEING the killer.
I distinctly remember playing a really bad game with clown on that map and a guy at the end legitimately said "I didn't know what killer it was until the end" he hadn't even been close enough to see gas clouds lol.
Yeah it was both sides really. I do agree it is a pretty balanced map, I would just like to see a few more pallets spawn on that map in general because the map literally only has one safe pallet, the rest are mindgameable or unsafe, so it should have a slightly higher pallet density, but that's the only change I feel like the map could still need.
Disturbed Ward is such a terrible map, though. Can't wait to have breakeable walls in the main building, and I hope they reduce the size of the map a bit as well.
-
I pretty much never get these teammates personally, surprised some people have such a problem with that. It really sucks though. I would hope the new matchmaking system could help with that, but it doesn't necessarily seem like it has anything to do with the skill of such teammates.

I think it's funny that survivors immediately knee-jerked and proclaimed saloon was ZOMG THE MOST KILLER SIDED MAP EVER. But then that's practically customary at this point until Survivors start learning the maps and realize it's not that bad.
Is Saloon survivor sided? No, but it's more balanced than people are giving it credit for. It's a balanced landing users wet dream, maybe even more so than Haddonfield. At least four generators are close to balconies (central balcony generator, hangman's scaffold, and the two generators at the one end of the street) that allow survivors to utilize BL quite extensively.
The center building has very strong loops even if you do break the breakable walls. One in particular is up the stairs to the upper interior window, around the back balcony and into another window at the lower level. It's on par with the wrecked shop or fractured cowshed loops.
Now apparently it provides some significant stealth opportunities too? Imagine my shock.
Honestly I can't see how Survivors think this map is worse than something like Hawkins, Father Campbell's Chapel, or Lery's.
I definitely agree with you on the map's balance. But to be fair, I had also seen quite a few posts of people claiming that the map was way too survivor sided as well. It wasn't just survivor mains complaining that it was too killer sided.

They don’t NEED better add ons. The game already gives you so much. Another whiny killer complaint man come on. This game doesn’t need to have killers running around putting people down faster than they already can. I’d rather not play it anymore. If I can spawn in and see a teammate go down 5 seconds into the game because of an iridescent head add on or something that lets you gain exposed faster or swing your weapon faster like that’s just not fun for survivors. The thrill of the game comes from the chase and I think they’ve buffed killers too much already. Ghost face needs to be reworked he doesn’t need a 0 terror radius and have the ability to get exposed on you so quickly. You gotta give back a little. Some killers just have it way too easy and you’re sitting here complaining about a need for a better add on? Why don’t they just let killers spawn in and insta kill you without the chase. Spawn in and blow up the map 😂 I’m telling you I’ve never seen such a killer sided game sometimes. I can go a mile without seeing a pallet sometimes but others they’re around every corner. Not everyone can run the killer infinitely and for that reason alone I don’t think killers need more than they already have. You act like you’re going all game without downing or hooking anyone. So Selfish you think people want to come in and die for you every game 🤔 playing solo has become more of a pain than anything I’ve ever seen before
This might come off as a bit offensive, which isn't my intent, and I'm likely wrong with my assumption, but reading your posts and considering your username, you almost seem like a killer main who is trying to make survivor mains look bad on this forum.
If not though, this thread is about useless and weak killer addons that should be buffed. This wouldn't be a buff to any killer as killers still have good addons that can be use instead, it would just increase the options a player has when picking addons for a killer. It also doesn't exclude nerfs to overpowered addons like Iridiscent Head, which I agree need nerfing.
You really need to stop trying to ridicule anyone who makes a post that is in some way in favor of killers. It's getting ridiculous. This game won't just be balanced around you and your opinion, which is good because from what I can see, barely anyone would end up still playing killer if that was the case.
I also doubt they'll nerf Ghostface or any of the stealth killers.
-
I know some people dislike these bushes, and while I would rather see the devs focus on creating maps that allow for better skillful stealth, allowing survivors more stealth in any way is a good thing, and seeing as how this map is so fair for killers, I think it's good this map has these bushes.

Cause those players are too bad to play killers that need actual skill.
And which killers do need skill? Am I allowed to play Doctor or Oni?

I am not sure why you mention "why some people always use the argument that other people are just bad at the game" to quote me. You may show me where i mentioned anything about me saying anything like that.
If you think Saloon is killer sided, that's your opinion, but maps aren't necessarily made more killer sided because so many killer players are bad at killer. Like how does one say that with certainty? Maybe you just need to improve at survivor on maps like that?
The Saloon is extremly killersided for reasons: Really bad loops, small size, super unsafe pallets, big deadzones, breakable walls, kinda dangerous gens, especially those 2 towards the deadzone and on the gallows.
Maps are recently (!) made more killersided. Saloon obviously like mentioned, Lab is indoor which is good for killer with tons of unsafe pallets and barly any decent window. Even the springwood rework is now better for killer, the old version was more survivorsided with its safer pallets. New Yamaoka has way worse loops then old Yamaoka, less pallets and escecially less safe pallets, the main building is in total favour for the killer. Why i think it is certaint? Because there is no counterargument. Unsafe loops are unsafe loops and small size is small size.
With the maps, well again you are absolutly right, Saloon is very killersided and pretty much all the new maps or reworks are favouring more the killer. This trend is getting very annoying, and the reason is because so many killer players are extremly bad at the game and cry for buffs and stuff.
That's what you wrote.
Regarding the balance of the Saloon map, I think the main counterargument is gen speed. That's what many people argue when it comes to map balance. Gens going so fast is fine, if the maps are small enough for killers to apply proper map pressure, and if the killers has a fair chance of downing survivors fast enough. So maps shouldn't have many loops that are safe for survivors, and allow for no counterplay as killer.
The Saloon map certainly is one of the smaller maps, but I feel like it has a fair size for killers to apply enough map pressure without it being too overwhelming for survivors. It's definitely not that small either.
I also disagree when it comes to the map's loops. Not all pallet loops are completely unsafe, the map also has mindgameable pallets at which survivors can waste a killers time effectively with mindgames before the killer gets a hit. And since gens go so fast, survivors don't even need to last all too long in chases in order to let their team mates make impactful progress on gens, because gens can be repaired very fast.
Very importantly to mention in that case, the new Saloon map has quite a few really good windows for survivors, especially in the Saloon itself. These windows only become less safe once the breakable wall near it is broken, which still doesn't make the windows useless in the slightest. So you either get good use of a window in a chase, where the killer has to break the wall and you get a lot of distance, or he breaks some of the walls before, which makes him waste time while other survivors are all repairing gens. And the map has quite a few breakeable walls. It even has a modified T-L wall, that is very safe until the breakeable wall located there is broken, which then returns the T-L wall into a normal T-L wall.
That's why I would argue that this map is fairly balanced, the only change I want to see to that map is to have more mindgameable pallets added to it. Since most pallets on that map are mindgameable or unsafe, it should definitely have more pallets, similar to Hawkins.
It also depends on the killer of course. I can see Hillbilly or Freddy certainly being a bit op on that map, no doubt. They will probably need some small nerfs once more maps are brought to a similar balance level.

I have mixed feelings with what your say, some stuff is right and some is wrong.
First, I really dont think killers are op or unfair overall. True, Nurse and Spirit might be still overpowered af even tho some dont admit it here, but all the others are well ballanced or even a little (!) bit to weak. Well, Freddy needs some little nerfs since he is way to easy to get a good result, but the rest is fine.
Unfortunatly, tunneling and camping is a thing in DBD, and there is not a lot they can do about it. Try to get better at looping the killer, so to make it as hard as possible for him to catch you. The best feeling in DBD is when you run the killer for 5 gens and then get facecamped. Its like he is handing you a trophy.
Perks and addons... well addons, i must say that you are right with that. Stuff like iri head should be gone looong time ago. I dont get why they nerf stuff like BNPs, Insta heals or Toolboxes into the ground and leave completly broken stuff like iri head in the game. But Perks? Also survivor have strong perks, its not true that killer have here the upper hand.
With the maps, well again you are absolutly right, Saloon is very killersided and pretty much all the new maps or reworks are favouring more the killer. This trend is getting very annoying, and the reason is because so many killer players are extremly bad at the game and cry for buffs and stuff. But again - if it stays the way it is right now, i would be fine with it, more ballanced then it ever was.
Kind regards
I honestly don't get why some people always use the argument that other people are just bad at the game when the game sees balancing they don't agree with. Like it's always the others that are bad right, it's never one self that maybe needs to improve in this game.
If you think Saloon is killer sided, that's your opinion, but maps aren't necessarily made more killer sided because so many killer players are bad at killer. Like how does one say that with certainty? Maybe you just need to improve at survivor on maps like that?
It goes both ways of course, People constantly cry about how easy survivor is and how impossible killer is. One recent thread was titled "When does Baby-mode get nerfed". It's just ridiclous.
Again, thinking Saloon is unbalanced is fine, everyone has their own opinion. I would argue it needs a few more pallets myself. But just accusing all the other players being bad at the game, which causes maps to become unbalanced, is not really fair. Perhaps there are some good reasons as to why people complain about map balance and think the newer maps are actually balanced.

i see so many issues related to the complaints people have playing killer. Well the number of complaints multiply playing solo survivor. I don’t like queueing up for an hour to get put down moments after spawning in because the killer just spawns on you and Mori’s you 😂 it’s just not that serious.
If your survivor queue times are 1 hour long than nerfing more killers is not the smart move to make.
Both killers are balanced around their one shot potential, and aren't op. Myers in particular has to waste time stalking survivors, during which survivors can do gens.

Literally everyone plays her.. I see hag so much so I don't know what you're talking about.
Every hag spams like 5 traps on hooked survivors and then proxy camps and tunnels.
Boring killer to play and extremely boring to play against because of the play style that naturally comes with her abilities.
A better and more accurate question would be "why does no one play nurse?" and the answer would be cause she actually requires some amount of skill and effort to play.
God could you just stop sh*tting over every killer you dislike? And accuse them of not needing any skill?

The Killer's attack hitbox is a simple cylinder in front of him, the devs shown this a little bit back in a stream. Who ever enters that cylinder first and who is closest to the Killer (in case of multiple targets) triggers/takes the hit.
In the OP's video the hooked Survivor's hitbox was still active and was more or less touching his left screen. It was closer and even physically blocking the Killer from reaching that Dwight. Like it or not, everything here is working as intended.
What the OP should be mad about is not playing around the hook like that Dwight did. The Dwight was allowed to take control and force the hooked Survivor between him and the Killer. Dwight took advantage of OP's mistake. That mistake was not holding S and pulling Dwight towards him. When OP let got of S or even held W to go forward it allowed Dwight to move to the side to such an amount to use the hook and dying Survivor as a blocker. If OP didn't allow this, he should have landed the hit without problem.
I don't see a hitbox problem here. I see user error.
But for one the survivor on the hook was long gone, so they shouldn't have a hitbox there anymore anyways.
However, his hit recovery was just like when you miss a hit, since it was much faster than the normal recovery when hittin a survivor, so it seems like the hitbox was not there anymore, and it really just was auto aim, or what people mean when they say auto aim.

And I think your too busy following the devs and what they say..I am not feeling the most enthused at the moment and all you said was "well its yamaoka" and even admitted the team itz went against threw the game..and do forgive me if I dont pity the side of the community that ruins the match via hook suicide and dc regularly and when it doesnt happen my survivor experience is boring so please do explain how the new maps have shown any sign of improvement ?
All I said was "well it's Yamaoka"? Are you kidding me?
In my second paragraph I explained why I think making maps more balanced will balance this game very well, by allowing the killers to slow down gens enough by themselves if they are able to down survivors fast enough and apply enough map pressure. The more you can pressure survivors off of gens, the slower gens get done. The more frequent you down and hook survivors, the more frequent you are forcing survivors off of gens to go for unhooks, which slows down generator repair speed and increases the speed at which you are completing your own objective as killer as well.
I also explained why Yamaoaka isn't that balanced in my other post, I didn't realise you didn't see that post, so I'll just add it here again: "I should probably mention that Yamaoka is a map that many people seem to agree to be rather survivor sided, with it's huge size, safe pallets and good stealth. It's only downside for survivors is that it can sometimes have areas with very few pallets, depending on rng. So that map is hardly compareable to some of the newer maps like the Saloon map."
Then I mentioned that they were using two really good toolboxes with addons to make them even better, which I believe decreased gen repair time by more than 20 seconds, especially the purple toolbox, and that Otz was using two pretty weak perks. But I guess you just skipped that part.
I also explained that if maps are more balanced, killers have a better chance of downing survivors fast enough without them having to mess up in chases. That's the argument everyone is making.
The Saloon map for example has barely any safe pallets, most are mindgameable and a few even completely unsafe, so killers have a better chance of downing survivors fast enough. Hooking survivors more frequently in return means survivors have to unhook each other more often, getting them off gens. Smaller maps also mean you can pressure gens better, as you waste less time patroling gens and forcing survivors off of gens. You can spread the damage more effectively as well.
I get that some killers are still underwhelming even on these balanced maps, but many killers are much better on these maps, and a few, like Freddy, are probably even a bit op on maps like the new Saloon map.

I really don't think Doctor needs any buffs. Unless you mean a nerf when talking about a change to his cooldown. If the cooldown of his shock therapy would be increased slightly, at least the cooldown of shock therapy, I could see a small buff to his shock therapy range being fair.
-
I seriously love your idea for no mither. I could very well see that idea becoming a new perk of it's own, if the devs want to keep no mither, as well.

A "couple" of things is not 5 things. Couple means 2.
Very useful in life to have this bit of knowledge. You're welcome. :)
That‘s your response?
And in General, i get that some killers can be annoying, almost everyone has killers they dislike. But don‘t expect them to be changed or nerfed just because you don‘t like them.
I do think camping and tunneling should be nerfed in some way down the line, only actual Camping and tunneling of course, because it‘s a terrible strategy to go against, and is to often rewarding for the relatively low skill it takes. But i feel like some other changes have a higher priority right now.

The one buff I definitely want to see is an increase to his base movement speed while cloked, and then to compensate for that, his windstorm addons need to be nerfed slightly.
Not sure if he really needs anything else. Maybe he could be invisible to survivors that are more than 24 meters away from him or something like that.

Chases..nuff said..I tire of trying to explain the obvious
What? You aren't explaining jack sh*t. Just look at your posts. You are just making ridiculous, killer biased statements about this game's balance and that's it. Meanwhile other people are trying to actually explain and argue why they disagree with you. But you seem to just ignore any arguments and believe that you know everything about this game's balance 100% correctly.
I mean, I explained why this video doesn't prove to me that this game's balance can't be achieved with map balancing and keeping gen times the way they are now. And I gave you enough arguments. And I don't expect you to agree with me and completely change your mind just because of my post. But then posting nothing more than "chases" in order to argue I am wrong and behaving like you know everything better and are 100% correct about the game's balance is just petty and ridiculous. Especially then when you claim that you have explained why you don't think map balance will help this game. Like what the actual hell.
I for one am pretty sure you are just not that good with killer, can't deal with losing at all, and want guaranteed 4ks every single game. And I absolutely hate when some people say that killer mains all just want guaranteed 4k's every game. Because that's not fair and just not true. But it's people like you why some people argue that all killers mains just want 4ks every game.
It's a relief that the majority doesn't really approve of your viewpoints though, because I feel like if you would be in charge for this game's balance, we'd be forced to sit through 2 hour killer queue times whenever we want to play as killer.
Just out of curiosity though, what killer on what map would you consider a balanced matchup, so that the killer has a chance to win even against really good survivor teams?

There have been changes since then, but the most significant are killer nerfs and the gameplay hasn't changed. It still holds value despite Survivors and devs handwaving it away.
"Not sure what he is trying to prove, no one said it was balanced." -McClean in response to it.
The most significant changes this game received since then were nerfs to survivors, or buffs to killers. Pallet vaccuum was removed, Healing Time increased, and maps were made more balanced, especially with the change where they increased the minimum distance of pallets, which reduced the pallet density on all maps and reduced the amount of pallets that would spawn on a map at average.
-
I don't think it needs those buffs, decreasing footsteps sound isn't a good idea since killers rely on that sometimes and the sound is broken in this game anyways already.
I just want the uninjured requirement to be removed, that's all. And maybe buff the increased movement speed from 20 to 25%.
