Now personally, I find the First to already be a pretty well balanced killer, if only possibly very slightly overtuned. He is very well designed, being strong, but with a lot of fair counterplay on the survivor side. The delay of the vine attack seems to have been very carefull chosen, as it seems pretty ideal if you ask me. Both sides pretty much have to predict what the opposite is going to do.7 comments 231 views last activity

I just had a game with Vecna, and it turns out even if you predict the survivor throwing down the pallet, aka using Mage Hand right before the survivor starts dropping the pallet, they can still just drop the pallet back onto the survivors head before Vecna can get a hit against the survivor. That has to be one of the stupidest things I have ever experienced in a video game. I totally get why su16 comments 291 views last activity

Well there goes my reason to maybe come back to this game for now, as the anti-tunneling and anti-slugging changes are being delayed for who knows how long, alongside the buffs to none tunneling strategies that I was very much looking forward to. I do get that these fundamental changes probably would have needed some tuning in favor of the killer, but honestly, I fail to see how number changes102 comments 3,454 views last activity

This is certainly not a doom post or anything. DBD is doing quite fine and is not going anywhere for the foreseeable future. And I also actually do not believe solo queue is as bad as some people make it out to be, it sure has it's issues, but it can still be a lot of fun and escaping is definitely possible. But as we all know, DBD is about to have a huge gain of players thanks to the FNAF ch43 comments 706 views last activity

I am curious if I missed something, because if Freddy can still teleport to a slugged survivor being healed by a survivor in the dream world, then I fear this new Freddy will become an issue fairly quickly, and simply land in the already big list of killers that almost every survivor hates facing. I think his teleport to healing survivors that are injured is fine, but being able to slug survivo27 comments 812 views last activity

I have been playing quite a bit of Vecna now and in general I think he is a fantasticly designed killer. I like all of his abilities and in many cases he is very fair as well. However, Mage Hand is the one ability of Vecna that is a bit overtuned at the moment. The main problem with Mage Hand is that by simply waiting until the survivor drops the pallet, you can then activate Mage Hand immediat68 comments 1,295 views last activity

I really do think most changes that Vecna is receiving are fantastic. All 4 abilities are looking very good now, and Vecna looks like he will be powerful but generally balanced. The only buff I am somewhat concerned about is the Mage Hand buff. Being slowed down by so much less might be too strong. Just for fun I made a map tier list, and am curious what other people think of the current map situation in DBD. Personally, I think BHVR has improved a lot when it comes to map balance and design, with far more maps being very well balanced and fair. Of course there still have been some misssteps, like the new reworked Haddonfield, that is definitely too killer sided. But in general, BHVR has be44 comments 10,714 views last activity

Before the most recent roadmap, we had a roadmap that showed that Singularity was supposed to get changes in the last midchapter patch. Now I know that roadmap is very outdated, and the newer roadmap has existed for a long time now, but I was really hoping they just had to delay the Singularity changes a bit because of the Twins rework, so he would receive changes in this patch. For the past months, whenever I played DBD, I was maining Singularity. For whatever reason, he is the most fun killer to play as in my opinion. However, while I do not think he is particularly weak, I do believe he definitely needs a bit of help. Especially considering his high skill ceiling, some improvements would be very nice to see. I have been thinking about this lately and would be interested in what other people have to say. Solo Queue is a pain point that many people complain about. It seems like many people agree that the power level order is Solo Queue < Killer < SWF. And I would agree with this when talking about the general experience, when only talking about balance however, I would say all of these are not n50 comments 1,736 views last activity

I sometimes wonder this, considering the locker deadzones of some of the game's newer maps and redesigns. I just had an insanely painful match on Shelter Woods, because pretty much no gen was even close to a locker, and the locker spread was abysmal. It would be very much appreciated if BHVR could add some more lockers to some of the existing maps, so that especially Dredge doesn't suffer on th28 comments 922 views last activity

Skull Merchant is still strong in a 3 gen, and that probably won't ever change, at least not without a meta shake up, and map improvements. However, I do think her 3 gen is more manageable now, and it's also strong now by giving her some actual chase potential, as opposed to simply giving her defending gens until survivors are bored to death. Which is a good thing. But one change I think could3 comments 41 views last activity

There is a new update coming this week, but I was just curious if it was mentioned somewhere whether we are getting it tomorrow or on wednesday. As someone who really enjoys the design of Skull Merchant, I am very eager to play her with the new changes coming up.1 comments 71 views last activity

In my opinion, DBD has three main balance issues above all other balance issues, which are the following: Balance gap between swf and solo survivors Camping and tunneling Map design There are certainly other important balance issues as well, like the balance gap between the strongest and weakest killer in the game, as well as overpowered addons and/or perks on both sides (Eruption for examp2 comments 41 views last activity

This should be a clear message to BHVR that it's survivors time to get some improvement and help now. And kind of hard to argue against that at this point. Of course there is always the argument of survivors suiciding on hooks, and bad matchmaking, screwing over these stats a bit. That's what you'd want to tell yourself if you are a killer main that doesn't want to accept that survivors need a58 comments 1,451 views last activity

Normally killer queue times increase when a new killer releases, but today they have been faster than the days before. Wondering if anyone else has been having this. Maybe the new survivors are interesting to a lot of people as well. Or more people are motivated to play survivor because of the tunneling nerf? To be honest I am still hoping queue times won't go back to normal until at least camp6 comments 121 views last activity

The nerf to Reassurance is just mind boggling in my opinion. It will stil be a good perk, but the nerf is so ridiculously unnecessary. Like, you actually just catered to camping and tunneling killers with that nerf, it boggles my mind. The hooked survivor should have a way to deactivate the perk so they couldn't be held hostage. That would have been the only change it needed. Instead, you nerf2 comments 92 views last activity

So the ptb patch notes just released, and sadly we are not getting any nerfs to camping or tunneling, yet again. These cheap and skillless strategies will continue to be way to effective for the little effort required, and survivors continue to be at the mercy of killers to not camp and tunnel. I wonder how long BHVR is going to not address this issue. Killer queue times will continue to be pro79 comments 1,603 views last activity

Skip to the last two paragraphs if you don't want to read my thoughts on the changes and just get to the point of this post. Now, people don't seem to be happy with the upcoming balance changes in the 6.1.2. update. And I kind of agree. The Thana change is the best of the three. It's an extremely weird nerf, but at least it's nerfed. And I am honestly glad to see that the devs at least underst3 comments 191 views last activity

I am not surprised with the exaggerated complaints some people are posting, especially here on the forums. To be fair, there are enough killer mains that also like to exaggerate like crazy on these forums, regarding how bad they have it. So of course it's to be expected that the same would happen after such a patch, but on the survivor side. Especially right after the patch dropped. The claim th7 comments 112 views last activity

First the positives: The upcoming patch for DBD has a lot of great changes. This is easily the biggest patch DBD has ever received, and having all these balance changes and the meta shake up is something DBD really needs. I am also sure this patch took a lot of work, so it's certainly impressive. With that said, the biggest issue with this new patch is the fact that, when it comes to basekit cha9 comments 141 views last activity

Gen time increase, not ideal gameplay wise, but probably good for balance. The 2,5% instant regression when kicking a gen is probably the very best change for killers here, design wise especially. Pallet breaking speed, not sure about that one. It's fine where it is right now in my opinion, though maybe it could work. I know some some people will not like to hear this, but I personally do think certain aspects of Dredge need to be toned down just a tiny bit. None of these nerfs will impact his effectivenes when playing as him in a big way though, these are all just smaller changes to make him more fair for survivors. First of all, the new wiggle mechanic. The new beta tab allows you to hit skill checks to wiggle out. Is it possible to wiggle out faster with this new mechanic? Because there seem to be great skill checks within the skill checks, and whenever someone hits one of those, the wiggle bar turns yellow, which normally indicates an increase in action speed. But that would be quite bad, balancing wise37 comments 2,381 views last activity

We already knew about the cooldown and basic attack condition removal, but it seems like the radius was also now doubled, which I believe was not mentioned in the dev update. It's a 32 meter radius. Now fair enough, it's still a Hex perk, so it can still be cleansed fairly early on. With all the negativity that BHVR is getting, and to be fair, partially rightfully so, I could go on about the servers issues, sound bugs persisting and what not, I did want to give some positive feedback as well. I've been really enjoying the Blight so far, except of course for his terrible collision, but last game I played with him I realized how well you can simply dodge his lethal rush lunge if you play it right as survivor, since it's just a lunge with normal speed but with horrific turning. What do you think? I feel like after some time, the devs actually managed to create some new meta perks for the game. At least Undying seems really good. I know some people have already said how op these perks are, but I think it needs more time to tell. I just realised I have been taking another big break from this game. Like always. It might be affected by the fact that I can't play this game too much without it getting at least a bit stale, which to be fair is with any game. But I'd say the main reason for that is the ridiculous, absolutely laughable sound in the game. I mean I am not 100% sure, but I believe that at least one of the problems of the current matchmaking and ranking system was caused by the changes to rank reset. Before, you would drop two tiers of ranks, now you only drop to one tier below the tier you were at. And if you don't know what I mean with tier, I mean the different rank colors. At least from the 10 maps that you can choose from below. I tried to pick 10 maps that would cover the entire range of balance that maps currently have, so that there's at least one map that represents a certain balance level of any map that has a similar balance level, but do keep in mind that the balance of each map individually also depends on ones opinion. I know there have been posts regarding what killer or what map people consider balanced. But I would really be interested in knowing what killer and what map combined people consider to be a balanced match up, so that the killer and survivors have a fair chance of winning in that match. In the end, maps and the actual power level of a killer are the two variables of a matches balance. Of course5 comments 71 views last activity

I just saw a video of Otz about this perk and that it has been nerfed from the ptb. On the ptb it had a duration of 45 seconds, now it has 30 seconds. And I really don't get it. Did anyone think that perk was op? You need to hit survivors two times and they have to hit a skill check for the generator's aura to be highlighted, which barely happens right when the perk activates, which means the a14 comments 421 views last activity

Now I know people will not be happy to see another nerf to killer thread again, especially with Doc since his rework was just released a few days a go. So for whatever reason, shortly after the Ruin nerf was announced, the talk about a nerf to Hillbilly really picked up on these forums. Especially with the new rank reset changes, survivors of very different skill level seem to be at red ranks at the moment. And it's not getting better. I get that the monthly rank reset was annoying, but it was needed since pipping, especially as survivor, is too easy. I'm curious to see what people think of the Badham maps. Personally, after playing them often enough, I feel like they still have a few too many safe pallets. There's killer shack, then there are the two safe pallets at the school and at the house with the basement, and then there's the safe pallet upstairs in the house with two floors. All of which have no counterplay for killer. Some of the ot18 comments 151 views last activity

I've always argued that you are not biased towards survivor or killer. And I would probably still do. Please remember this is just my opinion on this matter. But I do think a Ruin nerf, or even better, a rework, was needed. It was just too effective at low ranks, or even just any survivor players who can't hit great skill checks fairly often. It was just a perk that could be extremely powerful against any survivor team that isn't great at hitting skill checks, being too effective in most matches.8 comments 451 views last activity
