Rework the maps.

Footsteps and breathing,as well as grass sounds don't exist anymore.
There's a reason high level Spirits play with incredibly high volumes and no Stridor
Their choice to damage their hearing for a game.
-
Because they want spirit's power to be rendered useless from a single commonly used perk.
-
One problem.
This requires effort.
The only things that will get added into the game are number changes, even that is asking allot.
-
They can't do anything about vpn users other than a ping filter.
They refuse to do a ping filter for some unknown reason.
-
Sounds like you bought a hwid banned part from someone second hand.
-
Discord has a very strong back.
-
Isn't this just the normal expected outcome for any trickster game?

Yeah, Pebble in particular boggles the mind.
Because survivors would spam it and be annoying AF.

It is freaky luck, but I've seen it happen a few times in my trials. BBQ does update while it is active, but the aura-reading range comes from the hook you used rather than your current position.
Oh, learn something new every day i guess.
-
Play trickster.

That used to be stuns for me, i couldn't get rid of Enduring.
Now i actually got rid of it, but stuns are still a terrible thing to me.
Ever get forcibly sucked into the pallet as the survivor drops it?

@TapeKnot said:
If you saw a survivor on Barbecue and Chilli being healed by a survivor whose aura you couldn't see, the healing survivor could have aura-blocking perks or be just barely outside of Barbecue & Chilli range while the survivor being healed was just barely in Barbecue & Chilli range. Here's a quick visualization:
That is some freaky luck.
Doesn't bbq update while active ? So if i am walking towards them then wouldn't the one being healed instantly vanish too?
edit. It does update. I se it do so with lockers all the time.
-
ok the.. well, considering my day literally started with a rage hacker zooming around the game with god mode and ending with me being frozen for 5 minutes and kicked to the main menu, i am going to guess that its cheating.
that would be one rage hacker and 2 stealth cheaters today.
-
i am well aware, but as i said they did not have any perks to do this.
-
Hmmm.. so nobody else has seen survivors hunched over being healed by an invisible survivor with bbq before?

@TheClownIsKing said:
I’m really tired of this perk.
The only reason it was originally implemented was because it was clear how strong Bubba’s power works for hook camping, so let’s give him a more attractive incentive to leave it.
The whole “but BBQ prevents hook camping” is moot at best. The very idea that we would see more hook camping without BBQ is laughable. A killer is either going to camp, or they won’t. Let the idiots hurt their rank and BP gains. It’s irritating how little skill investment killers need to put into hunting/tracking because of a popular perk like BBQ.
It’s lazy. And it can be very frustrating as a survivor, very often, even when attempting to do the right things against BBQ.
You can go in a locker or run a perk or crouch behind a generator or.. be within 40m of the killer. Pick one and you just countered bbq.
-
With the amount of FOMO stuff going on in dbd, i think the dev's know the game is going down. Wait times are insane for survivors at peak times (people home from work / school) because killers refuse to play, and it doesn't look like they will change it any time soon.
-
Lightborn when i see flashlights in the lobby. I will purposely stare at them while i pick a survivor up and they go all weird lol.
-
My god you have some of the most "chill" survivors living in your matchmaking area. Your sound is also edited to hell with software to "cheat"

This is somewhat accurate. I actually 4k with trickster WAY more then anyone escapes. But that's from skill in general...Like of you're trying to play him as nurse/blight,etc and trying to traverse the map going chase to chase to chase. You WILL lose.
With that said..Trickster himself is NOT bad. A good trickster can down you fairly quick with good aim with knives. Quicker then some other characters TBH. What people don't seem to notice is trickster can keep laying knives in to you while you sprint away from your first health state. If they have good aim. You're not getting far
Camping is boring.. if you need to camp or proxy on a killer then they are literally dumpster tier.

Groaning storehouse has a 3 gen time waste with that little window on the side. If you run it the other way you can reset it with the big hole in the wall.
All Badham maps are disgusting
Haddonfun is tedious
The new corn needs to be deleted and reworked or just put the old corn back.
Basically all the reworked maps have been made worse in some way for killer.

I have all the current DLC, and most characters at level 50 (a few P3's) and event rewards etc. I play on PS4 but want to change to PC, the issue is, I do not want to start all that work again + there is are rewards I cannot get again.
Cross progression would be fantastic. I'd happily buy the base game on steam if my content and DLC came to
Now you know why it will never happen. Sony/microsoft have you trapped as a permanent customer. $$$$$$$
-
You can literally waste entire generators just by running around the outside of the shack and resetting it with the window every 2 loops. If he tries to do anything fancy you can see him through the walls thanks to shack being made so damn safe.
-
Sony won't do it because they expect to lose money and allegedly fine the developers what they estimate they will lose when the player leaves or purchases on another platform.

It's strong as hell but it's not a free second chance so it's not meta.
Basically this.
I have seen it used and it has caught me off guard a couple of times. It depends on the map or location you get hit so isn't just a free escape like pressing E is when you need it.

Borrowed time does not encourage bad saves it just helps with them, I'm not really understanding what your problem is with it tbh I occasionally play killer and the only time I find out someone has borrowed time is during end game when I hooked the someome then the other player helps them down and I aim for the injured survivor because why waste time on the healthy survivor 9/10 times they're running BT but that's what it is.
The only person who complains about a perk being used like that is a tunneler ans/or camper.
Not true. I can't stand when a survivor cross maps to me on the hook with the killer chasing them only to be ripped off the hook in his face and left to be tunnelled.
you may not chase the injured guy, but many killers just count to 12 and chase the injured one...

Only one, but the survivors were a joke so that could have been it. Bond and kindred reveals so much about what is going on :(

I agree matchmaking many times gives lopsided matches. I did record enough data to be able to break survivors teams into categories. Full red tank teams my kill % was just under 70. I am a less than 2000 hour player that plays both sides and still make a lot of mistakes playing killer. I’m sure those with many more hours than me were even more dominate with him, especially because he is easy to learn and master.
I am not confident there will ever be a great ranking system for this game. And that’s why I don’t mind the 2 kill 2 escape average for the player base as a whole. I don’t ever plan to play in a tournament and don’t feel the game needs to be balanced around tournament players since the majority of games played are PUB matches.
Still not happy that the potential is there for survivors to win every game if they follow a set formula. My region has teams with thousands of hours and many players still around from 2016. myself included.
The small playerbase and high hours means i get to experience things more often that others don't. Watching streamers has proven that to me... i still think they just get sniped by their viewers.

She has counterplay, much like Spirit and (kind of) Nurse. You basically need to aggro her, at least 1 of you, so that she can't set up. If she gets a chance to set up in an area of the map and y'all keep running into her traps there, you lose. You can't just let her do her thing and then loop her like you can other killers, because she doesn't go for chases, she goes for tp hit tp hit. And when you know you're about to run into one of her traps, you can try to spin into it and turn around so that she whiffs when she tps. It's a double back mindgame you can do just like with Spirit and Nurse. And when she traps the hook, just crouch through it. She can come back of course but that's still camping and will get punished if the other players are doing gens. But the way y'all talk about her, she has no counterplay and apparently is as strong as Spirit. Perhaps this just goes back to the main problem which is solo teammates generally being bad.
If you are the antagonist then say good bye to your pip and probably a depip.
-
She would have been changed by now if more people played her. It is just lucky that most people find her boring to play as as they do against.
She is unfair and i don't blame anyone that disconnects when they are the first one caught.

With Trickster its all about catching survivors off guard and abusing short loops, if a survivor crouches to avoid your knives you can still hit them at the majority of short loops, hell you can even hit above them because for what ever reason the hit boxes of survivors are a lot taller than they actual look. This allows you to hit over some rocks on MacMillan and large snow piles/rocks on Ormond (there are more these are just the ones that come to mind)
Trickster is weak, he does need buffs, but he is FAR from the weakest killer
And if they have a brain and don't run to the closest low wall loop while using trees and rocks as cover between tall wall loops?
-
@TM_The_Shape said:
agreed, the maps still have bad hitboxes in alot of places...
adding basic attack hitbox as a collider does nothing if that cant hit anything either...mostly trees and rocks, or anything thats not a flat wall...
oh and one side of killer shack, you slide across the whole thing sometimes, even when perpendicular to it...
They have not said a word about it either.

Sure. Have fun complaining about nobody wanting to play with you.
I'm here for fun. I'm not particularly skilled at the game and I like to mess around and try new things. I don't really pay attention to skins unless it's a Dwelf (since that's the national animal for nasty players) - P3, bright clothes, Blendette, whatever. But if the survivors have matching names, so free comms on whatever I do, and are equipped with items that are going to neuter my current build or killer, I'm not going to have fun - doubly so when kitted out comm SWFs are a dozen times more likely to BM me and taunt me than anyone else - so why should I have to play with them? They can be someone else's problem, ideally somebody who's more willing to play cutthroat than I am.
If you queue up for DBD geared up like you're preparing to fight a war, you can't really complain when you get a parade of mother-daughter Stridor Spirits. It's just the other side doing the same thing as you are.
Or really, you can complain about whatever you like, but it's not going to change the fact that the way things are set up, some killers are going to skip you when your lobby sends off a bunch of warning signals. Either they have the power to get back on even footing with the perceived sweat level or they're going to bail. The result is generally going to be the same - your lobby looks strong, you're going to face strong killers more often than not.
Belittle me all you want. I'll be over here having a good time.
Don't forget to have task manager open to dump the lobby when the last second switch in items and characters.

Cant BHVR just copy-paste my progress on their servers and let me get an access to it from different platforms on their own? Or its now property of Sony since I gained that progress on playstation?
Sony gets a cut from everything you purchase. In a way they do own YOU and see you as an asset. Allowing you to move to another platform is lost revenue.

I did a little experiment and played 50 wraith games all while at rank 1 and 2 before his buff and I ended with a 79.5 kill percentage. I wasn't using All Seeing but even then I felt it was an extremely strong add on. Using it now I feel unstoppable. Add bone clapper on with that and it is absolutely unfun to play against, even when running spine chill.
I've been playing around with some different builds. Right now I'm using bamboozle, enduring, spirit fury and whispers and running a shadow dance add on. It doesn't feel too OP and oppressive from a killer standpoint and if the survivors spread out and can loop, they can still do well.
I thought Wraith was strong before but if you bring all his best, tinkerer, ruin, pop/undying plus All Seeing or stack on Windstorms, I imagine he would feel just as oppressive as tinkerer, ruin, pop/undying Freddy does.
He is strong, but i also have a stupidly high kill average with Pyramidhead and i don't even have sound on. The problem is the ranking system is literal trash and they need to remove the safety pip to balance it out.
The solution to everything in this game is just remove the safety pip or make it hard to get..

It's a pretty strong addon by today's standards, but that's because addons have been getting weaker and more cautiously implemented. Take a look at Billy's addon pass as an example - near-everything that gives him something noticeably good now takes something important away. Good steering? More penalty. Faster chainsaw? You're a 110% now. I don't like this and I don't think this should be the standard... but by that standard, 12m wallhacks when you're not in a chase doesn't add up.
I'd rather not see it go, and I quite like the effect it has on the game - and of course the tradeoff is that he can't use it while actually chasing someone, only locating - but I can see how it doesn't line up anymore. Pig has the same addon as an iridescent with a load of drawbacks that make it basically not worth using. That power level sure as hell isn't the right answer either, and I'd be horrified if they made that the standard, but Wraith might need the power or versatility of his reduced. Possibly a slowdown to uncloaking, so that its use is less oppressive and he can't use it mid-chase once at certain tiles?
But I'd hate to see it completely removed or reworked - All-Seeing Spirit, too. I think Wraith has one of the best addon sets in the game. Simple enough to be easy to understand, lots of varieties, lots of different playstyles. Few that are actually useless. Him being able to wallhack suits him perfectly - it's the magnification of all of his perks. He's meant to be a tracker.
Survivors don't want killers to be versatile. they want them to be the same every game and be boring af for the killer player.

From a "possibly escape from them" standpoint, I'd rather face a Deathslinger. For whatever reason, I and my team have had better success against good Deathslingers when it comes to escapes than Huntress players. When we face a super-good Huntress, we get wrecked -- nothing like seeing a Hatchet coming from halfway across the map to down you as you're being healed by a teammate, lol.
From a fun standpoint, however, I'd much rather play against the Huntress. It's not quite like facing a top-tier Nurse, but it's probably the next best thing. The few matches I have escaped a Rank 1, God-level Huntress player have felt the most rewarding. Win or lose, a really good Huntress player is a challenge that's a lot of fun.
He is slow.
range is limited.
he can't chain hits like huntress can.
can't kill over pallets
Doesn't have a hitbox the size of a car
This is why you escape from him more often.
-
@MrDardon said:
Maybe some QoL improvements but not buffs.
The smallest buff could potentially make him to strong because of how he ignores most Survivors defenses, similar to Nurse.
Removing the slowdown after he cancels RoJ would bring back the issue where he could just tap M2 at a window or pallet and the Survivor would get hit no matter what.
That was actually a bug. They didn't even fix it after the update and was still possible to instantly m1 out.
-
Charms are visible to killers? i never see them lol.

Windows are very strong for PH, if a survivor uses them effectively against him, they’ve done well and deserve to avoid the hit.
Don't get me wrong, he is fine where he is. It is just people want even more of a punishment like a 5 second cooldown with massive slow for cancelling his power just because the survivor held W instead of pressing space.
-
@WexlerWendigo said:
He’s already a strong killer, and the only changes he needs are to his add ons which are hot garbage. The cooldown from using the sword is needed, as it can zone survivors out without the killer doing anything to earn it.
Tired of this narrative that the killer needs to "earn" their power or attack. What did you as a survivor do to earn the right to hit space on a window?
We need a tally system for survivors where they must EARN their right to be agile and quick how about that huh?

This game has been so annoying lately and I'm getting frustrated from it. Because I wait, no joke, 8 minutes to get into a game just to die from a Ruin undying spirit
The wait time is what makes it frustrating. If you could jump into another game within 30 seconds as survivor then i bet people would be way more chill about being removed from the game quickly.
I had to stop paying yesterday because i waited 10 + minutes for a game only to be found first and "tunnelled" out of the game within 2 minutes. Is the killer a dick for doing it? yeah.. Was it the killers fault? No. One of the survivors was possibly doing the unhook challenge and just couldn't wait 5 seconds for the killer to leave before tearing me off the hook.
Nothing will change though until they address the power gap between SWF and solo players, as well as the horrid toxicity this community has.. The killer population will continue to dwindle.
Here is a good inside to the crap killers deal with

Tell that to the 5 to 10 minute wait times for a survivor game.

This company is unbelievable.
Streamer accounts (fog whisperer especially) will probably be automatically exempt and ignored. Can't have bad publicity after all.

Exactly ! i made a similar thread on the steam forums and basically people were laughing at me.
I know some people just wanted the reveal of the chapter but it's not like DBD didn't actually announced there would be something before it.
You can be excited about something and wait patiently for it or be excited and say it like "so excited for the reveal" instead of "boring", "no one cares", "not even funny" etc
And if these people stayed after the reveal (instantly dropped from +80 K viewers to 60K), like you said there was a majority being disrespectful to the LGBT+ community or even to Puppers. Like common who could direspect this freaking amazing guy ?
---
If the majority of the community is +13 years old (should be since it's an horror game), i really hoped they would have act like it but it seems i was wrong :(
BUT still there was people as excited as i was for the whole broadcast, for the votes, for the roadmap, for the live as a whole ! And we got rewarded by codes, by amazing content (throwbacking us to the time devs had a weekly stream <3), rewarded by informations (boon totems who is excited ? :D) , amazing set design (honestly i want to win the lottery, buy myself a house, and hire whoever designed the campfire and the Archives room to get the same).
Depending on what they are "boon totems" will destroy the already small killer population. The new perk is already bad enough making totem perks even more useless.
