They are useless on swamp maps.
-
The only thing that pisses me off about them is that the user is usually 60+ ping and gets hits they don't deserve.

It's nice but I'm talking about the current state.
All I see here are posts crying about swfs, gen speeds and "tunneling is a start".
They all come from salty killers that once they lose to a coordinated team, they are angry cause they weren't 3-4gen stompable like most solo 1 pub games they get with their sweaty gen regression builds.
It isn't that they lost. its that nothing you can do matters depending on the swf and killer you are playing.
They make so many perks and even powers in this game useless
-
People have been asking for BHVR to buff solo players and then buff killers if needed.
Things like Kindred base and a ping system or quick chat wheel would buff solo players without really giving anything new to swf on coms.

Made the stun larger when nemesis launched.

They need to rework maps in general. But the trend goes the other way lately. Cold winds got MAJOR buffs for example.
I cbf when its a coldwind map.. its so boring and braindead but survivors think they are doing something amazing.
-
They just need to rework tiles to actually have mindgames.
For example shack. Remove the boarded up windows and all the gaps in the palings so the survivor can't see anything inside.
-
Streamers complain every time the test is run.

They say it about every new chapter perk. I remember how Power Struggle was going to become meta, how fixated and inner strength were going to become meta (tru3 was betting on it, lol), how pursuer was going to become meta, etc... And still the meta hasn't changes for 4 years: DS BT UB DH SB IW for survivors and 4 slowdown perks (or 3 slowdown + BBQ) for killers.
New perks will never be meta if they require effort to use or are not equal or stronger than the current meta perks. I think you mean Lucky break not Fixated.
-
Love how the advice all boils down to camp...
So basically, there is zero way to have fun and you should just give them an equally miserable experience and move onto the next game.
How boring.

The Undetectable isn't the good part of Tinkerer, it's the information.
Shame its only useful by fat luck or on specific killers.

Thanks for sharing.
I have to say .....it's a little disappointed to see only gen rush and leave-one-man-to-die in the highest playground. kinda boring.
Survivors always have the power to win every game.. its just the emblem system is designed to force them to interact with the killer if they want to pip.

Just use Q and E to turn while attacking

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/274307/gen-speeds
I disagree. BHVR actually has it opposite of how things should be. Generators should baseline take longer for a single survivor to do, but not get a penalty when multiple survivors do it (maybe even give a bonus). This would naturally "slow" gens down because the problem you are describing has nothing to do with gen speeds, it is a problem of pressure as it relates to spawns.
Try running lethal pursuer and see how survivors spawn in these matches when gens fly so fast. This happens in games where all 4 survivors spawn separate from each other on 3-4 different gens. You can't pressure that many gens at once. The fact that there is a penalty associated with survivors doing gens together, this doesn't make sense. They should encourage survivors to stay together through game mechanics so that killers are able to start the pressure much faster.
The reason why there is this perception of killers being OP against lower skill survivors and survivors being OP in high level MMR is due to the fact that when survivors play efficiently (all 4 on 4 different gens) you can't end a chase fast enough. Literally just holding W (no pallets, windows, vaults, perks, anything) will take a killer 47 seconds to down, then factor in finding a survivor, picking them up, walking to a hook, and then hooking them, the other 3 survivors probably just popped 3 gens. In lower skill games, survivors are often more "scared" of the killer, and tend to stay together in groups so they can hide, or feel safer while doing a gen.
If the survivors had to stay together in groups to be efficient, this means you could effectively pressure multiple survivors at once and they wouldn't be as encouraged to spread out as much. It also will exemplify and encourage the aspect of survivors playing as a team.
2 manning gens is already a problem for killer, even with the "penalty" Sure you don't get 5 gens done in 3 hooks like you can if everyone spreads out. But you will get one gen done per hook assuming everyone can last 30 seconds in a chase leaving the killer with 5 hooks and a game over.
They actually need to increase gen time for 2 survivors from 47 to 60.
-
They do go "maximum apeshit" when a survivor nerf is mentioned. Just look at Decisive strike. The devs gave them a full month of warning because they were so afraid of the backlash while killer sometimes get nerfed out of nowhere with no warning because they don't care.
The only time killers ever get buffs are when survivor q times are unplayable.
-
Cross progression will never happen for the very reason people want it. To leave console for PC, and in Sony and Microsoft's eyes, that's lost revenue on subscription fees and cosmetic purchases.

That's not true. I have several friends who play on console(PS4 & PS5) that have no significant issues. I know one person who plays on Xbox and who has not mentioned any major problems. I don't know anyone who plays on Switch so I don't know about that one.
Again it is fully on the developers, not the user. The game should be designed and coded to work on the hardware provided or it should be fully refundable without question if it gets broken and not repaired.
They released the game on ps4 and xbox long before current gen was announced. It should work on base ps4 and xbox without freezing every time an action is performed.
If they can get the witcher 3 to work on the switch without stutter then they can get this to work flawlessly on last gen console.
-
so.. if i tick NO on every game. Does that mean they will nerf all the survivor meta perks and swf? because it is never fun vs that.
-
The problem is that nobody is complaining. that is a terrible sign for a killers viability.
-
They can't have a permanent hindrance on survivors since the vaccine is limited. It should do more for the killer though. Just getting rid of the free health state would do wonders.

I run Blood Warden & NOED for this very reason sometimes
I got this to work once. The salt was glorious!
Sadly with my luck i am really far away from the doors and survivors don't open them until they are forced to.

NOED has been fun to use. It is best paired with lightborn and franklins for maximum salt.

At least we got cumogorgon.

Rip nancy and her messed up face.

Hawkins is awful for both sides imo.
Specifically though it feels exceptionally killer sided since almost every pallet is just hot garbage. You just drop them 9/10 times because you can't mind game them or loop them at all lol
And idk, to me that doesn't really feel great as killer either. Will be very happy once this map is gone for good.
Killer is forced to break the crappy corner pallets because they can become an infinite if the doors spawn right.

I don’t understand the complaint threads about Hillbilly- do you guys play Survivor? There are some REALLY good Billy’s out there. I’ll admit he’s no longer a popular character, but when I saw him pre-SBMM, he was a force to be reckoned with. A lot of Billy mains can kick ass even without his best turning add-ons. They know their maps, and are able to anticipate movement. Very seldom to they bump into anything. They use info and gen slowdown perks. Rarely do they M1. Seen enough 4K with just the chainsaw in Red Ranks. No face camping and no tunneling needed.
I imagine however, like most of the killer cast- he struggles against gawd tier 4 man squads. They somehow can bait/misdirect last second and avoid insta downs, even in tight quarters. I’m sure you’ll get a few of those who can do that in Solo que as well, but then you need to realize it’s not best to continue the chase and save them for last. Go for someone weaker.
They are also usually quite laggy and their actual position is incorrect.

I used to main killer, was rank 1 for like 3 months in a row before I started losing interest. I'd play killer now but given what I'm dealing with as survivor, I'm not going to deal with it.
you mean given what you dish out as survivor you don't want to deal with that as killer?
-
You need to actually buy auric cells to notice so.. no.
AU gov sucks when it comes to anything like this. Can't even use pccasegear without getting charged an extra 10% because i didn't travel to another state to the only store......

If there are issues with the player's hardware, that's not on the developers. That's on the player.
If there are issues with the player's internet, that's not on the developers. That's on the player.
To be fair the console issue is fully on the developers and not the player.

I mean, you could have asked the killer to hook and then killed yourself. You would still gain some points and would not get the DC penalty...
But that is admitting defeat while disconnecting is somehow a win in their brain because you deny the killer points.

2 Survivors = Double the speed.
4 Survivors = Quadruple the speed.
But they nerfed cooperative repairs.
Each extra survivor = 15% slower individual repairs.
4 Survivors with the debuff = 45% slower individual repair speeds.
Point being it is stupid design.
It should be 80-60-47-36 not 80-47-36-32....
-
The bigger question is why does it only take 2 survivors to halve the time of a gen.
-
4 survivors- 5 gens 1 killer- 12 hook states
Math hard... me no figure out one harder den da other

Nah, I just find it legit funny that a Killer Main calls someone a Tryhard, while wanting to dodge Lobbies to get a full Solo-Lobby, just to have it as easy as possible.
And the thought is amusing that someone does a 3 hour playsession in the evening with 2 hours of them dodging Lobbies, because be careful, there is an evil SWF and as we all know, every SWF in this game is at least tournament-level.
And well, SWF is not cheating.
The irony. The killer wants an "easy game" vs solo players but you don't think SWF is survivors looking for an easy game. Most swf are just random people who only ever play together in DBD.
-
Thank the morons that came on here using killers they never play and posting pictures of full rank 20 lobbies as a rank 1 killer. The devs now estimate your ability with the other killers compared to your main killer and plop you in unfair matches with them.
-
EAC is pointless because it is client side and there is no server side anti cheat. There is also the problem of no recording feature and it is on the player to record every match and fill out a form to make a report. Hackers also have ways to stop you seeing their steam profile.

The issue is that I don't think anyone is good enough to deal with them.
For context, I've lost 30 matches this year. 19 of those were today. I should hope that out of the thousands of matches I've played in 2021, that at least a few of those teams were good. And if they were, I hope that means I am also good.
But this is just demoralizing. They are going to have huge queues and I'm going to keep getting hard capped at this level where I get routinely stomped and taunted.
And no, Blight really isn't fun. I don't want to play Spirit, but I think I'm going to have to.
This is exactly why i want sbmm. So many people have zero clue how badly this game is balanced because they just get bad survivors all the time.
-
Love how every one of these threads is people admitting that survivors are the power role.

It's not everyone. Like I said not everyone on PS4 is having the issue. Oh and by the way I did read the thread.
If something is broken then you do what you can to fix it. Blaming none responsible parties won't get it fixed.
Players should not be forced to go out and buy an SSD t put in their ps4 when the game came out before next gen was even announced and never met their promises to begin with.
I have replaced the thermal paste in my ps4 and it still freezes. There is literally nothing else you can do to a console.
-
The killer is just helping them leave the game early. why else would they signal that intent with a key?
-
Its huntress.

So are Doc and Legion tho, and they haven't received any recent nerfs.
eh... not as much. I have legacy billy and he was quite overwhelming at the lower ranks.
They only needed to change his addons to not stack and alter tinkerer. But these devs seem to just overdo everything when they go for a nerf so they don't need to touch the killer again.

Surely, that won't do much.
We still got the Hillbilly nerf even though he wasn't really overperforming.
And high ranks have been left untouched for years. Surely, the Devs aren't blind.
They seem to have nerfed billy because he was a noob stomper.
-
Yes.
It will give the devs good stats to balance the game around.

Bring gen slowdown perks if you aren't.
Also Corrupt Intervention is really useful because it forces every survivor to come towards you and not just hop on the nearest gen to them when they spawn in.
Don't take too long on chases, if you realize its taking too long, just injure them and go focus on pushing people off gens. Most of the time, survivors will want to heal before they get back on a gen (or risk being on it injured and going down very fast) so keeping the pressure on them to heal will only keep them off gens longer and give you some wiggle room.
Don't take too long on chases.... Yeah you see the problem with this is what if they are all good at the game and there isn't a partially sentient potato in the group?
You have now wasted the 20 or so seconds chasing and a further potential 20+ seconds just walking to where the other survivors are plus the extra time to catch up to that survivor before you even get into the chase.. THEN you need to deal with the loops that they made it to. All while the survivor you left and the other 2 are on gens.

I wana be special!
I can't stand when people want fomo items so they can fill some weird void within themselves. These items create black markets like they did back when the streamer cosmetics came out and people were selling the codes for hundreds of dollars on ebay.
-
They changed some things to make it useable and then everyone gave up because it is clear they are going to force it in.
-
If they do this then they need to change how pyramid heads power works
