I wonder if a case could be made for Hex: No One Escapes Death on Deathslinger rather than Hag. Like Hag, he's an m1 killer and the speed boost mitigates their lower movement speed, unlike Hag, however, Deathslinger is more chase oriented, lacks other mobility options, and the only ranged killer who primarily uses m1s.
Discordance could also be valuable on either the Twins or Nemesis, as they can make unique use of the more obscure part of the perk, the Noise Notifications. Victor can see them and the zombies will react to them.
Unnerving Presence sees the best use on the Doctor, and many an Impossible Skill Check build can attest.

Slugging and Camping is all they have, What Strat can even be done? Hit and Run is for sure not gonna work with Boons and Medkits being Meta right now.
Allow me to present Pixel Bush's guides to the Twins
Share your videos with friends, family and the worldOne thing the guide emphasizes, particularly part 3, is using the Twins to keep up pressure on at least 2 survivors as much as possible.
Ex: down a Survivor with a Victor, have him latch on to a second then go and get the hook and either pursue the second survivor or find someone new to chase. One hooked, a second injured, possibly a third chased.
Also, on a side note, to my knowledge, Victor does not trigger Spine Chill.
Discordance is also very good on them. Victor doesn't see auras but he does see the noise notification.
Victor can also trigger Forced Penance.

If you mean the matchmaking updates from the Dev post a few weeks back, where they discussed the results of their tests, yes. I negligee they were implemented later that same day.
-
Ever since I saw my first Space Billy in a Puppers video, I imagine him speaking like Portal's Space Sphere. That yell when he chainsaw sprints? He's screaming "Spaaaaaaaaaace!"
-
My own idea for a simple Trapper buff is all the Traps on the ground at the start of the trial are set/active. Obviously location RNG would still be a thing but can provide some Early game potential that trapper currently lacks.

Speaking for myself, I try not to tunnel as killer because it's the one thing I most hate running into Survivor, so I make an effort not to inflict it on others when I play the other side. I'm not above slugging off-hook if the chance presents itself, since barring Soul Guard or Exponential it's pressure whatever happens (force them to mend BT or use their Unbreakable, or force someone to stop what they're done to pick them up)
To my view, Dead by Daylight is, first and foremost, a game, and everyone playing a game deserves to be able to get fun out if it, win or lose. I've generally gotten positive responses for this in endgame chat, even when using killers like the Twins.
I can only do so much about those players who find their fun in griefing the other side and/or their own, so I don't worry too much unless I run into them. Then it's case by case.
-
I've liked it fine. It's probably at its most useful for hit-and-run killers like Wraith or Onryō, or killers like Oni who thrive on injuring survivors and keeping them injured.
I saw a suggestion for Resurgence being that it prevents healing from regressing below a certain point, to make it a counter to hemorrhage and retain its effect even if hemorrhage is in play. Something similar could work for Solidarity, like the delay before he kicks in when mentioned or ensuring progress isn't lost while healing someone else.

I stopped playing killer and started maining survivor this month, dbd now feels much more fun for me (so fun i actually ended up buying some cosmetics). Cuz i'm not clenching my butt cheeks throughout the match and i'm not getting frustrated at the second chances survivors get. 4 people aren't rubbing it in my face everytime they win, and i'm not receiving those hateful comments if i win against them. Play fair and go for hooks and the gens will fly, camp and tunnel one person out and survivors will massacre you with hate. I know it's just a game but when 4 people are ganging up against you, and your hard earned outplays are negated by the single press of the E button, it does feel bad cuz i'm human. I swear playing killer is the true horror in this game, cuz you're basically just a plaything for survivors and they'll make sure you have the worst gaming experience, because the game has given them the power to do that. I think the stress and frustration of playing killer in dbd just isn't good for one's mental health, i've stopped playing killer and i don't wanna go back to that crap ever.
I'm always the odd man out here. While I've had my frustrating killer games like anyone else, I generally find it less stressful and generally play survivor far more seriously.

Yeah well according to the Ash Vs Evil Dead game its beta looked really promising. VHS still looks promising but they killed off their hype by having the beta go on for months then completely shut off the servers for nearly 2.
In fairness to VHS, the server shutdown was a security issue, if I recall correctly, so that's not entirely their fault. Though it does leave up in the air whether they can recover from it

Re: "Why should I leave?-"
It's not camping if they give you no reason to leave.
My definition of camping is if the Killer never leaves base Kindred range even when nobody is nearby.

To take a post I made elsewhere
To me, part of what makes dealing with Dead Hard tricky is that negating a hit from the Killer is the basic premise of the perk. Time it right, and the attack that should have brought you down doesn't, buying precious time.
That said, I think a major issue is that, as has been mentioned here, that isn't how a lot of survivors actually use it. They use it to make those last few steps needed to reach a pallet or window.
I wonder how many of Dead Hard's issues would be mitigated by dropping the Dead Hard for Distance aspect. Maybe change it to an increased wipe animation for the Killer of the Survivor successfully dodges a hit with it.
Reward using it as intended, prevent using it as not.

sometimes with no sleep pills you can be prevented from vaulting pallets or windows in your power. dont think thats gamebreaking tho
Even if it were, that would just mean kill switching the addon.

Yeah I get it no one mains twins, just since the tome came into play this seems to be a more prevalent issue, I mean they have a challenge that's literally chasing after hoarder activates, but let's be honest who's gonna chase with M1 charlotte over here.
I don't think you need to be playing as the Twins for that challenge, just using Hoarder. You could do it on Pinhead just fine.
The only ones that require Twins are the ones for Victor's Pouncing survivors.
-
My own thought for a simple Early-Game buff: All of the traps on the field start out active. Their locations are still RNG, 'tis true, but at least of survivors do single across them they stand a chance of actually doing something.
-
I haven't actually faced a single Legion since the update came out. I've had a few Ghost Faces but no Legions I can recall offhand. Maybe one, tops.

I've been using my Epic account a lot recently, and while it's definitely far easier to back rev survivors, curving feels much more difficult. When it comes to the chainsaw, joysticks are no doubt the better option. The thing about curving with Billy on M&K is that you have to bind q and e to turn properly, this however, means that you only have 3 modes of movement while sprinting: turn left, turn right, and forward. Whereas on controller, you can precisely guide the joystick to the correct position, this makes adjusting the angle of your sprint far easier. So really it comes down your playstyle I suppose, but in my opinion, the most optimal way to play him involves using the saw a lot.
I remember playing Billy on console and had a similar thought. It was easier to play him with a controller vs keyboard and mouse

Survivor side I've been using Renewal/Second Wind as part of a heal build. Since I can semi-reliably get heals done I charge it up and jump back in without needing a heal myself.
-
I've always had a fondness for Spies From the Shadows as a Killer perk. It's usefulness varies by map, true, but it's an overall solid tracking perk, in my opinion.
-
I once had an idea that removing perk tiers could be a benefit of prestiging.
P1 you get the current 3% boost to rarity.
P2 all perks start at Tier 2
P3 all perks start at Tier 3
-
I honestly misunderstood that at first and used a totem hunting build thinking they'd show up alongside totems.
Is this a challenge that can be done on Killer as well as Survivor?

Camping and slugging isn't the sole way to play twins, though I concedeit is effective. Pixel Bush's guide recommends using the twins to keep pressure on at least 2 survivors as much as possible. Ex: is Victor todown one, latch onto/down a second, go and pickup the first, go from there.

For me its simply the fact that i dont get the dailys even when i actively try them. I play an entire Match and in the end get 1/5 Wich is stupid i think.
Instead they could just change it to be shred downs and everyone is happy :3
That's exactly what I'm saying to. Just basic Shred hits, if not downs, and it'll be much simpler a Daily.
-
@Valik said:
If it was just using shred attacks in general, it would be too simple - not even a challenge, really. Hardly even something to try with.
If it was using the portals, it would be obtuse.
Lowering it to 3-4 fully charged shreds would be more than enough of a change, though... as ColonGlock said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2923651#Comment_2923651
I'm honestly not sure where that's a problem. As noted, Freddy's Daily is literally just "hit the survivor" while the majority are otherwise "hit survivors using your power". That's exactly what you're doing with a shred, fully charged or not.
-
Why would you even use those addons if your objective is the daily?
Every daily is, at least in theory, achievable in q single match. That was my issue with Nemesis' daily in prior form of "reach tier 3 infection 3 times", since they was impossible in a single game by any means.

Ultimately inconsequential. its best its only 3 seconds more of healing healing, and at worst its like 1.6 seconds more. due to how the bonus speeds interact with other bonuses.
- the % speed bonus should only apply when healing each other,
- the bonus speed should not stack with medkits, other perks, addons
- when self healing there is no bonus. it should heal at the same speed as self care
- only the original boon liter should get the bonus if they insist on keeping the bonus speed.
- or maybe just not make it unlimited to relit or put a really long cooldown if it gets snuffed, that way, there is actually a strategic reason for the killer to go out of their way to leave gens and patrol setup to go and hunt the boon down.
#4 is the only one I don't see as a possibility since it runs contrary to how Boons otherwise work (go into Boon, get Boon effect)
My own thought has been have it buff healing Skill Checks rather than healing speed directly. Still offers a boost to healing but not one nearly as powerful as a straight speed boost.
-
I recently had a Demo daily where I'd swear I got several fully charged Shreds off, if not the full 5. Fine endgame I have zero credit. That's when I dropped that daily like a hot rock.
-
@kaneyboy said:
So all iv seen lately is killers are tunneling and camping because boon healing is too strong etc, even with the buffed legion they are still resulting to really annoying games you just don't want to play.
Honest question, how much of the camping and tunneling is due to the (today nerfed) Circle of Healing and how much is just the Killers being campy tunnelers?

I agree, the chase music has no melody. I think it has potential, the first 3 seconds when you hear it sound nice, but after it repeats over and over again it starts to get on my nerves, it's even worse than Doctor's chase music, which I also personally hate very much.

I actually kind of dig Doctor's? - though I know it's often cited as being one of the more unpopular ones and wouldnt mind it having a bit more personality without the repetition. So I guess if even I can't stand the Ghost Face one by comparison that's a huge problem!
At the very least, the Doctor's "Crazy Train" theme is fitting for a Killer who drives survivors to madness.
Moreso then it sounds life Ghost Face has going for him

Totally agree with you. Gen tapping to stop regression should've been removed years ago!!
My own thought on this was requiring Survivors to work on a gen few seconds before regression stops, sort of like how a failed skill check halts progress even if you keep working on the gen. Perks that effect regression speed can increase this requirement.
For early game, my thought for a basekit option was something like old Hex: Ruin. Good skill checks do nothing, Greats equal Good skill checks, and this lasts until he first gen is done or the first couple minutes of the match, whichever comes first.
-
To me, it is annoying, at most, but if the last person is right there when the next to last goes down in not going to begrudge the killer going for it.

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2921127#Comment_2921127
That change is imho the change that hurt Twins the most. Boons is already a problem but the power of Twins is to injure multiple people quickly. If you have to hit a survivor then send Victor, down a survivor and walk across whatever distance the survivor got TWICE (once with victor then with Charlotte to pick up) is in most cases less efficient than just M1 the survivor.
There are a lot of killers that get a harsh punishment when you fail to use the power. Which is also the case with Victor. But when you are actually successful, I don't get what reason there is to give the same cooldown after a successful attack, just to give another survivor the most easy time to kick and instantly start healing after that, while Charlotte first needs to catch up.
Not strictly related, but a guide I watched for Twins suggested downing with Victor then, if possible latching on to a healthy survivor (or downing 2 if that's an option)
The idea, as I understood it, is do everything possible to keep at least 2 people off gens as much as possible. So down one, Jockey another, and while they're dealing with Victor you go in as Charlotte for the pickup.
-
For me it was somewhere between the release of Clown and Spirit.
-
In my Survivor games I've been running a pretty solid heal build of Autodidact, Empathic Connection, Empathy, and Renewal. It's not hard to get those first two tokens since you and the injured can see one another, and healing someone else gets you Renewal if you get hooked.
-
Alternatively, maybe make Blindness more of a hindrance, like put a black border around the screen such as when downed by Knock Out that actually restricts the field of view, or have it work opposite of Oblivious, remove the Red Stain but keep the Terror Radius.
-
I admit my main question throughout is "Did Overheat even actually affect anything?" Even "feathering" is still possible, if not as easy to do often, isn't it?
-
@TeabaggingGhostface said:
If you're gonna remove the self healing, let people see the auras of injured people in its radius, or let people in its radius see injured people
I like that idea. Though I can already imagine injured survivors just sitting in the Circle waiting for someone to come heal them.

Me helping my team doesnt mean my team is gonna help me.
And my helping my team escape, doesn't really benefit me in any way? Sure, I can get a good ol pat on the back for being a good team mate, but in terms of game rewards what do I get?
Example: I stay to save a team mate, save them and I get hooked, they survive and I die. What game benefit did I get from it? None. I get a lower MMR, I dont get escape BP.
And no, me stating factual stuff from the game doesn't mean I am a selfish survivor, like the OP decided to claim.
Hence "generally benefits you" and not "always benefits you"
