  • I end up playing with bots anyways so it really makes no difference.

The amount of survivors around red rank who do absolutely nothing is absolutely astounding. Like why do i have to do 4 of the 5 gens? Also another thing i got chewed out by a killer last night for escaping with a key after doing 3 out of 5 generators by myself while my team just altruism piled. I also found this key in a chest but i am in the wrong for escaping with it.

Who was the killer if you don't mind me asking? I was playing Ghostface on Coldwind at Rank 1 and was up against someone who escaped with a key when I hadn't seen them all game and was destroying their teammates in chase, They claimed in end game chat that they did all 3 generators and found the key in a chest when I said "Keys are fair and balanced" sarcastically.

  • I use it in solo all the time because my teammates can never last more than 5 seconds in chase. It does get you tunneled but that doesn't bother me too much. I enjoy the chase unless it's like Deathslinger or Freddy.

  • I'm gonna preface this by saying that I started on console in 2017 and switched to PC at the end of last year and have been at rank 1 both sides every season as a solo que survivor for the most part. From what I have observed, console players play the game a lot more casually than PC players do. When I am the only PC survivor in my lobby and the other 3 are cross play players, the game usually doesn't go well but there are exceptions. I will leave it at that.

  • I was doing it with Ghostface since he's my main but I wasn't getting the full amount so I did it with Legion and got it really fast.

  • Went up against a lagswitching Leatherface last year lmao.

  • To be fair, tombstone addons are bs. Especially in solo que. Why should I get instantly moried after my solo que teammates fed him tier 3? It's not fair.

I never said WGLF is OP. You could at least read the post's before commenting something like that.

Please people just watch Aryuns vid, im not trying to promote that gameplay but it is quite clearly broken when used like that

How is it broken? It requires 4 survivors and even then, the killer can go for the one who wasn't picked up or wait 8 seconds after they figure out what the survivors are doing. If no gens are getting done, it doesn't really affect the killer.

Because you can't really aim before ADS (unless you do have massive fps experience) due to the limited range and miniscule hitbox. one small move on either side and the aim is off.

Also there is a chance the aim gets a sudden twist to it, which seems to be intended and semi-random.

And when a Deathslinger spams his ADS to force the survivor into juking and then just m1ing them? It's a lose-lose situation. If the survivor is about to reach a pallet or window, Slinger has a pointblank shot that he has to be REALLY boosted to miss. He has no counterplay at times.

  • Sprint Burst is the best exhaustion perk in the game but I prefer Dead Hard.

  • Run whatever you want.

  • I got them too. I wouldn't use them until they make an official statement about it though. I had already purchased 4k auric cells for the event but I won't use the free one's I got just in case.

  • Blighted Ghostface!!!

  • Meg, I don't hate the character, I hate the people who play the character. Always have, Always will.

  • Hag but since everyone else agrees, probably Deathslinger.

  • @AChaoticKiller said:

nurse and huntress in terms of raw skill

hag and trapper in terms of predicting and capitalizing on your good predictions but i'd argue hag needs a lot of skill too since there are a ton of ways to use her traps and you need good reactions and trap management.

Or an infinite scroll wheel smile

  • As soon as you spawn in

  • Wouldn't work. Anything associated with the character, Quentin, needs to be ran through and approved by the license holders. Making a legendary skin for Quentin would still require granted approval.

  • OG Ghostface and it's not even close.

  • Cheryl and Zarina for me!

  • Boring. Especially in solo que where there's no coordination at all.

  • Agreed. I used to average 80 fps in game, 120 in lobby and now I get around 30 on maps like Lery's, Yamaoka and Badham. It must have something to do with the new textures on the reworked maps specifically but at times I also get low fps on the older maps such as Coldwind and sometimes I get average fps. Really weird.

  • I'm in my early 20's and if I had to guess the average playerbase is probably from 17-30.

  • Chains of Hate. While I like Zarina, most players see her as forgettable. Deathslinger has mixed feedback but I was never a fan of him. The map, Dead Dawg Saloon was pretty awful in my opinion as well. My most memorable chapter that was original probably has to be Shattered Bloodline. Adam is one of my favorite original characters and the map wasn't too bad. I dislike Spirit but she's one of the most played killers at red ranks as well. To be honest with you though, my favorite maps and characters for the most part are the originals but for the sake of the discussion I would go with SB.

That is true, sorry for that, I just picked a few people randomly who all argued it doesn't take any skill as spirit. I think I accidently included you and actually wanted to quote somebody else, so sorry, my bad. I just wanted to see the big mouths back up their talk, but they can not, amusing to see.

The speed boost at the end was nerfed significantly, the other side does have interaction it is called making a read.

Whether you think it is ridiculous or not does not matter, it is a mindgame after all, check the definition of mindgame. You do something in order to manipulate somebody in order to gain an advantage, standing still as spirit does exactly that. The irony of that is that survivors do have the exact same mindgame.

Oh no they don't! Yes they do, a short loop at a pallet, you stand still as survivor and pretend to drop the pallet. The killer either respects the pallet which leads to another loop as you again press shift + w or you see an animation triggering in which case you press space and get a stun. WOW such skill, dude! Do survivors complain about that? Yes when they have the reflexes of a dead cat and get hit through the pallet, which most of the time is their own fault.

How much bias are you going to show? You're comparing regular looping where the killer can either fake walking through the pallet and then go around the other side of the short loop to zone the survivor and down them while they're in animation. Even then on those short loops, once bloodlust kicks in, the survivor is going to have to drop the pallet to a killer who can ignore all that, go invisible and just listen to down the survivor whichever way they hear breathing, footsteps, terrain etc. Like okay?

  • What is there to prove? A killer who goes invisible and fast with a speed boost at the end when phasing with no interaction from the other side than using Iron Will, Spine Chill and maybe Urban leaves no discussion. The fact she can stand still and people call that a "mindgame" is ridiculous. You shouldn't have to run specific perks to counter ONE of the killers on the roster.

How are they a killer main for saying who cares? Lmfao.

Because only killer only mains or people who play Spirit "don't care" when it's obvious that Spirit is a problem.

  • No. They need to make more killers like Demo who are balanced and are interactive for both sides. Not killers like Slinger and Spirit who are oppressive in chase and leave the survivors with no input.

  • Depends. If I have sloppy and it's early game, I'd try to split pressure as much as possible. If I know I can down the survivor, I'll continue chasing. Usually I'll take at least a pallet if not a hit before leaving.

  • Imagine thinking a one-shot projectile that can be shot from anywhere is fair lmao. Comical.

Who gives a #########...? I'm sorry but that crap is getting old

You're definitely someone who plays Spirit or are a killer only main. Spirit is a cheap way to get free wins especially with perks like pop, corrupt, ruin and any other slowdowns along with stridor and decent headphones. I play both sides and have played Spirit enough to know how unfair she is so I'm sure a lot of people care based on the fact that this is a discussion to begin with.

  • Anyone who thinks Spirit takes any skill at all probably plays Freddy with double slowdowns and pop, spamming dreamsnares at T and L walls. I only play Ghostface and have since his release at rank 1 so when the Spirit tome came out, I played her at rank 1 with no perks since I can't be bothered to level her up at the moment. I consistently got 4k after 4k because of how easy she is. You can fake survivors by just standing still and even if you don't do that you phase, wait at the middle of a loop and listen before coming out of phase with her speed boost to down the survivor.

  • Ran a clown for 5 gens on groaning storehouse a few months ago and then after the last gen popped, he downed me in front of the exit gate with NOED at a T and L wall. All of my teammates left me at that point so he opened the door, picked me up and put me down at the exit saying in post game chat "I won't take a free kill from NOED"

How would you even mori when infinites would still be in the game and every survivor knows about them? They would all run the infinite and never be hooked at all.

Just to pick this "mori more overpowered than infinites" from your comment. The rest might be true.

But only for ebony. Ivory might be balanced and cypress is useless with hatch and more so with hatch dc.

Ivory mories aren't even balanced. All you have to do is down the first survivor, hook them, tunnel them off hook and mori them. The game can instantly become a 3v1 and even at let's say, two gens remaining at that point, the survivors are at a very unfair disadvantage since if another were to get caught and hooked, the killer can potentially be in chase with the next one shortly after with perks like BBQ for an example which forces the last survivor off gens to get the save which then makes it that no gen progress is going on. The cycle continues after the killer catches the next one and so on.

I would even argue that mories are stronger than old infinites. The killer could always just see that the survivor was running to the infinite and then leave them since it's a huge time waster and then go find someone else who's on another gen away from it. If you want to talk about old balanced on Haddonfield, that's maybe the only case where infinites would be more overpowered (potentially) but even then, we all know no one likes Haddonfield for obvious reasons and it's long overdue for a rework.

You are right, i should not make assumptions. Then let me ask you: Do you say it after losing too? If so, does saying gg after winning differ for you from saying it when losing? If not, why did you explicitly talk about winning, since it seems that you make a distinction here? But then, i am not a native english speaker, so maybe i just miss something. In my language, leaving things out or setting focus on them usually has a deeper meaning.

It depends how the killer played. If I go up against a Swing Chains and Paint Brush Ebony Mori Freddy, I won't say gg in the postgame chat. If the killer was just trying to play a normal game and doesn't bm or anything and we still lose, I would say gg because as a solo survivor at rank 1 who isn't toxic and doesn't bring keys and likes to run fun meme builds while trying to win, I respect that.

The only reason I talked about winning explicitly is because when I win and I can tell the killer had a rough game, I try to help them out or wish them luck in their next games whereas if I lose, I would just say gg and move on. It has no deeper meaning you're just overlooking it.

The point of No Mither is to force the killer to pick you up and not ignore you.

You can use No Mither to take the heat away from other survivors, and break a killers attempts at tunnelling someone else, unless they’re foolish enough to ignore you.

Very situational points. The threat of Unbreakable which is meta is also always there so you can do those very things by playing normally. Which does happen, at rank 1 especially, killers when slugging a survivor usually come back right before they can get up with unbreakable if they had it except when that survivor just came off the hook in which case they may have DS as well.

  • They should make it so that it doesn't tell the killer that the survivor has No-Mither since it's useless at the moment. A killer will just instantly pick up the broken survivor. I like the idea of it giving extra action speed.

Maybe it could automatically grant survivors 100% or maybe even more bloodpoints at the end of the trial and leave it as is with that. I'm not sure but it would be cool if it had a purpose.

  • Favorites: 1. Ghostface 2. Ghostface 3. . . Did I mention Ghostface?

Seriously though, it's Ghostface then Myers, I don't care much for a third.

  • No such thing as a good Spirit build. Spirit is the kind of killer who can do well with no perks at all. She can use anything and still probably win.

Let me ask you: Why don´t you write it after losing?

IIn this community, its mostly a "haha, i won, you didnt", because it is almost exclusivly used by the winner, and only seldom by the one(s) that lost the game.

You wanna tell where exactly I wrote that I never say gg after losing? Don't make assumptions like that. I was simply saying that even if I win, I don't mean it in a bad way smh.

  • I usually write gg after winning but I don't mean it in a bad way. Sometimes if I feel bad for the killer, I like to add something like "gg man, tough map gl in your next ones"

  • Mories and Keys are incomparable. Mories are easily the most broken thing in Dead by Daylight at the moment and have been for a long time. More overpowered than old DS, old infinites, instaheals, old balanced landing on Haddonfield ETC.

Franklins is probably enough to deal with keys.

  • I main him, P3 50'd him within the first two days of his release, have most of his cosmetics and a couple days ago finished getting all perks at tier 3 on him. I agree that I've been seeing others play him a lot less lately but I don't mind.

  • There's a lot more than 3 I can name but I guess Spirit, Slinger and Hag.

Doctor is annoying, always has been. Nurse can be oppressive with her mobility and disregard of game mechanics but I was around back when Nurse had 5 blinks so I don't mind her as much lol. Huntress and her hitboxes, I used to love going up against Huntress but after dedi servers, I find her frustrating. Legion is annoying as a mending simulator ETC.

  • I run this combo on my Ghostface at rank 1 and it helps me stop getting gen-rushed against SWF like I used to. It gives the survivors another objective in cleansing totems and allows me to apply more pressure in different areas of the map without having to waste time kicking gens. It also allows me to get some stalks and prep survivors for later while they are on gens and then interrupting them, exposing and downing while regressing the gen and building pressure. This, as well as the fact that it's countered by just doing totems so it holds fair counterplay. There are many instances where I'm left with two perks in the first 2 to 3 minutes of the game but by that time, I have usually caught enough survivors to have at least one of them on death hook and the other 3 hooked at least once so it does it's job.

I mainly play survivor and I have little problem with Ruin and Undying. The only issue I can bring up is the fact that it's unfair in SOLO QUE against high mobility killers. When in SWF, you guys can each take down totems and keep track of how many are gone but it sucks to go up against in solo que since there isn't a totem counter (Which many have been asking for as long as I can remember).

  • Iron Will.

It's a lot more efficient to stay injured and Iron Will takes out one of the three indicators a killer has to track survivors. My favorite perk in the game and always has been.

  • I'm a Ghostface main and have been since his release at rank 1 and he's mid tier. He's a killer that can be lethal in the right hands but he is quite addon dependent since Night Shroud takes 30 seconds on base to recover, this can become 16 seconds with his best addons, the Olsen's address book and chewed pen.

A good build is mandatory against coordinated teams since he has no mobility besides base 115% movement speed which is very crippling on maps like the temple of purgation, most farm maps and auto haven maps are terrible since they are all open and have lots of pallets. His worst map is easily blood lodge since it's huge, open and is pallet haven.

Overall, he's the best stealth killer if you don't consider addons but a mid tier killer. He's my favorite killer since I've loved the Scream movies as long as I can remember and the reason I have only played him since release is because I like him, it doesn't matter to me that he isn't as strong as A and S tier killers because it's much more rewarding when I win with him which is 8 out 10 of my games.

  • I wouldn't be nice to a Legion either to be honest

  • Agreed. I'm a Rank 1 Ghostface main and have been since his release. He's the only killer I play and I used to use Corrupt in order to stall the gen rush and allowing me to get some stalks on survivors but even then I would usually get gen rushed. Now, with ruin and undying I can stalk survivors on the fly while having constant passive gen regression and I win almost all my games now that survivors have a second objective in cleansing totems and I can apply pressure all over the map. Even against try-hard red rank SWF's who bring map offerings, brand new parts with provethyself and smol pp builds. Don't get me wrong, the games can still get stressful but at the same time, it's much more manageable.
