To get Iridescent in Malicious, you have to get 36 points in that category. You can get eight points from each of the four Survivors, meaning that if no one gets saved or healed, you will only get 32 points, which only gets you Gold. This makes zero sense whatsoever because the point of Malicious is to prevent the Survivors from helping each other. Why am I being encouraged to give them a free save?! That is one of the stupidest things I've heard in a game where your goal is to kill everyone. Iridescent Malicious should only require 30-32 points and Gold should only require 25-27 points. This would reward Killers for doing good. If they were not able to heal or make some saves at all during the entire game, then I deserve an Iridescent, not a freakin' Gold. I applied enough pressure on the Survivors to prevent them from helping their teammates.

You are not suppose to be getting iridescent malicious every game. Iridescent is only for exceeding the expectation. Gold is what you strive to go for. I see what you mean by the points not making sense to add up to the iridescent, but if you did play it how you said you get gold which is where you should be.

    I find her really unbalanced.

More and more people have been picking her up which is nice. However the way that she plays is just so frustrating, most will just tunnel you even with a helmet on, if she runs toxin then you can't sprint burst. Her lunge has the same reach of Michael's Tier 3 lunge by DEFAULT, She get's to choose when to have a terror radius which most will use to just camp. Her Ambush lunge lasts way to long for the fairness of some level's environments. It's also hard to blind her because i haven't found a proper spot other than just aiming for her head which has worked sometimes. Lastly with the vacuum getting removed from pallets her lunge makes it almost a constant thing of stunning her and also getting downed.

She's also very weak in some aspects which forces people to play her a certain way rather than make it the intended "game", Her helmet's default timer is disgustingly long even with the add on IMO, So of course it gives you a reason to tunnel because the helmet alone just Isn't a threat for the most part i find. When she crouches it can be very hard to see on some maps.

Overall i just think she needs tweaking and to get her out of this "one way to win" game play style she has because of the state she's in. If you try and have some fun you can easily get bullied and lose almost all the survivors.

Let me know what you people think, I've tried to have an opinion both playing her and going against her

The pig is like any other killer. You have to play differently an order to win against her. Yeah her main power makes it so the game slows down. She is like any other m1 killer and you can loop her pretty hard. I don't think she needs a nerf she is in the right place.

@Zanfer Same with plenty of perks that survivors can use, especially Laurie’s. There should be three perks for every survivor, especially DLC, and not all perks have to be incredible. I’d say that it is in need of a serious nerf, though it should have never been present in the first place.

It needs a nerf, but has to be still useful in a way for the survivor to want to use it still. Yeah there are perks in this game that aren't used that often, but completely gutting a perk right out isn't the best way to go about it.

  • @GT_Legend2 said:
Some of my ideas are this: 1) Make it so the survivor who hits the skill check has their aura revealed to the killer at all times. 2) Make it so that the survivor CANNOT vault or interact with anything until they have been hooked to prevent form any more stalling 3) Make it so that the survivor cannot heal or be constantly under the Exposed status effect 4) make it so that the killer has a speed boost to catch the survivor quicker 5) Make it so that the survivor skips one hook status (ex. Go directly into the struggle state if not hooked yet and If dead on hook, allow for the ability to be Mori’d) or maybe any combinations of these. I do not want to see the devs allow for one skill check mean the difference of the killer’s will to play. This cannot remain like this in this game. This is open to any opinions from all sides.

I mean you mind as well get rid of the perk if you want to make these changes. No one would use DS anymore lmao. Most of those suggestions just guarantee an easy down for the killer.

Well if the killer couldn't catch even one survivor against all 4 than why should you be rewarded for having an easy game. Getting rewarded for having a more intense close game where all survivors are struggling to even make it to the gate is better than never seeing the killer once and leaving out the exit gate. It means the killer was playing really well against the 4 others and the 4 others should be rewarded for great team play under an intense situation.

I think you're missing my point, in a situation where the 4 survivors are the best 4 players on the game or they play the best game of their life- the killer may be very good but if no one is downed there's no chance at a pip. The point isn't what would make a better game and to reward 'better' games, if that was the point why not just return to the old system? Really a much better representation of that mentality. The point is rewarding the aim of the game, which for the killer is killing and for the survivor is surviving.

Yeah and that is where the emblem system does have its flaws, but that is the 1% and I agree that we shouldn't leave them out of the discussion.

  • Leatherface, Billy, and Myers.

1.Leatherface cause insta down two people at once.
2.Billy cause very strong mobility to hooks and insta down.
3.Myers cause he can easily prevent unhooks with t3 procs.

Lots of people say hag and I highly disagree and here is why.
Whenever I see a hag putting traps near the hook and she leaves, I immediately go to those traps and start running all of them. She comes back and starts chasing me or someone near by and we just pull the person off the hook. Her traps don't do much if she is nearby and when you can just easily disable them. Just BT the person off hook if needed if she doesn't leave the hook.

Why even bothering making rank resets if it does not even do somewhat of a difference : people high ranked will just ramp up and people low rank will get rekt against really good survivors or really good killers.

There should be a reward depeding on your skill and the time you spent playing other than just daily quest I think.

And it would be really great with the new Iridescent Shards economic set.

I think they should reward players in some way just to put out there that being in a higher rank and holding the rank can mean something again..

  • Overtime survivors overall are playing more and more hours on this game and get so great at hitting the skill checks and that is why you see gens getting done more quick overtime. Also teamwork causes the gens to get done even quicker when not doing a gen alone.

You shouldn't pip because you only did the generators. Even if that is all you could do it means the killer was not that great and you shouldn't be rewarded for going against a terrible killer...

What's the aim of the game? If a survivor plays perfectly, what happens? They remain undetected by the killer, are never hit and they do gens and escape. Let's imagine all 4 survivors play perfectly, no one hurt, no one to heal. No one pips under this system. Despite playing perfectly and following the aim of the game exactly...

Well if the killer couldn't catch even one survivor against all 4 than why should you be rewarded for having an easy game. • You never looked behind you that much to even see where the killer was. It wasn't the killers fault for picking a target if the teammate did a bad unhook. I hope others find this and have their own opinions.

Was this confirmed that the prices have moved down?

Seriously , stop crying about you not getting a mori kill or not having fun. Pretty sure some dc's are because they don't have fun either.
    Jeez...
I get some people dc on me too and I never went crying about it to the whole community.

I mean all dcs can be for different reasons. Sometimes people have to leave for in real life issues or just personal things to attend to. You never know what is happening on the other end every time unless they state in post game chat.

  • @theagitatedapricot said:
It should have been the perk idea they talked about on the recent live stream. The amount you recover while in dying state affects how much struggle progress you have when picked up.

I can understand them not wanting to use that idea until a Decisive Strike nerf, tho.

Well if everyone ran a perk like that than you will see a lot more killers slug you for kills.

  • @Master said:
Survivor is so ridiculous easy to pip now.
Just equip BT and throw yourself at them hooks, pip basically guaranteed unless your are caught first and camped^^

Yupp and if you body block the teammate as well to make sure they don't go down until the bleedout timer ends than you will guarantee your points.

  • @BlondeMegPls said:
I think the problem with the emblem system is that I pip and don't pip in the wrong situations... When I have a game where the killer doesn't down anyone and we all escape, me with, let's say, a gold gen emblem and a iridescent escape; I don't pip!! But since nobody got hooked and there was 1 hit the entire match there's no way for me to pip!!!! Nothing I can do other than meaninglessly try and make the killer chase me... And another thing, the emblem that is supposed to be rewarding stealth? Nonsense. I have so many games where I'm crouched behind rocks keeping unseen by the killer so hard it's not possible to that any harder unless your killer is a rank 20 first time nurse >< and then have got a bronze or silver in that emblem? >< I agree the system is a step in the right direction, but executed pretty poorly tbh...

You shouldn't pip because you only did the generators. Even if that is all you could do it means the killer was not that great and you shouldn't be rewarded for going against a terrible killer...

All I got to say is if you are unhappy than just don't play. Playing and feeling not great is not great for your health as an individual.

You don't get it. The emblem system just makes me not want to play DBD. I will just go play something else. Enough people do this and there wouldn't be enough people playing. That is slowly still happening because they didn't actually fix the problems with the game. You can't pretend like the emblem system is a success when the game itself is still broken.

Apparently you didn't read my comment even though you quoted it. I said "if you are unhappy than just don't play".

The emblem system versus the game mechanics it self have no correlation to each other at all. For example: Hag running at a certain movement speed is not affected by how the emblem system works.

This is the average of what happened to me today...

Lobbies get filled with Survivors who either have blood, are in SWF or both, and a few Survivors without either.
Guess who don't disconnect? The Survivors without either blood or SWF.

Players are supposed to have fun, no? Where's the fun that i'm supposed to have in this? "Oops, i failed. Better DC from that Hook/Mori."

Oh yeah, side-note: Remove the ability for Survivors to quit out during Mori animations while also making it impossible to interrupt the Mori animation as Killer. It's only a few seconds, they can spare those. And yes, i realize they can still pull the plug, but that's kinda unsolvable, so at least do that. Then make it so the Killer can't stop the Mori so they can't spam the beginning animation.

I remember the developers saying they mostly want the game to be fun.
That's great and all, but what's not enjoyable about the game will stand out. And this stands out greatly to me, and for longer than just today.

I'm guessing since you are level 2 that you only played a couple of games. Play more games before you make a post like this.

Unless you think players should play 2000 or more hours to then have a valid opinion, i strongly believe i've encountered MORE than enough disconnectors to be absolutely sick of them.

Was not referring to your game hours. Was talking about how you at the time took the screenshot while at level 2 with the new patch that just came out on the same day you posted this thread. Even though they disconnect from this one game in the new patch apparently it happens all the time from here on out for you..

This sounds like more of a personal problem than an overall problem

On the PTB they actually reduced the thresholds significantly, so pipping should be even easier. Personally never had issues for both sides.

LOL Clearly everyone has no issue pipping because you are all so amazing. SMH

You guys miss the point entirely. It's not that I have trouble pipping. I can pip. The problems are that 1) it's incredibly inconsistent with your actual performance in the game, leading to instances where you SHOULD pip but don't; but more importantly 2) playing to pip as survivor IS NOT FUN OR REWARDING.

I want to play less survivor because pipping is frustrating and unfun. And I don't want to play more killer because you still deal with the same BS as before, only now you get a shiney participation trophy at the end. The net gain is that I just want to play the game LESS overall. There is nothing enjoyable about the game anymore.

The point of the thread is that the game's mechanics should be fixed before we get a new ranking system. It honestly doesn't matter how easy it is to pip or what the system actually is, if the game itself is still a broken pile of shhh then none of that matters.

All I got to say is if you are unhappy than just don't play. Playing and feeling not great is not great for your health as an individual.

Hello fellow fog dweller. Would someone be able to explain what the new player level system is and what purpose it has, or is it just for personal satisfaction?Or even redirect me to somewhere that explains it. :)

The player level spans across both survivor and killer. It is your total player level on your account. Every time you level up you gain shards. Each time you level up it will take more exp to level up, but you get more shards for the level.

Once you reach level 100 you reset back down to level 0 for 1 devotion. Devotion is used to keep track of how many times you hit level 100.

    Than the cycle repeats itself.

Eh... just giving more bloodpoints won't make the game more enjoyable to play. Giving me more bloodpoints won't help deal with the struggle against survivors who can endlessly loop the entire game or help slow down the rate at which generators complete. I'd rather see a system where dependent on the number of SWF in the lobby they receive a slight debuff for the duration of the match like a decrease in action speed by 5-7-10% based on the size of the SWF group. (2-3-4) I'd also be down with adding in an extra generator to complete (without the debuff) for full SWF groups.

Now if you added pictures or removed them from the file than you are messing with the game.

It's kinda like saying that replacing musics in the game is fine (even full muted musics) because it's simply "replacing" and not "adding" or "deleting". (Even tho musics do have more impact on the gameplay than pictures ofc)
    Very debatable.

The only time I ever do it is if I have been against a camping tunneling killer. They earn a t-bagging.

What do you mean when you talk about tunneling?

Tunneling is the only thing I consider "Toxic" for a killer to do. It's when you camp the hook and you wait for the unhooking to happen then go after the one that was unhooked instead of going after the survivor that did the unhooking. It's cheap and unsportsman like imo. You should get survivors because you are better than them. If you only get them because you hit them before they even touch the ground? You are a jerk and it's not a viable strategy, albeit camping is as long as it's done right (NO TUNNELING) and at the right times.

Oh ok, I would consider that camping

And btw, if someone unhooks you while the killer is camping, its the unhookers fault

Oh yeah for sure it's the unhookers fault that's why you should go for him! As the hooked (not in a SWF) you have no choice when you get unhooked. It's why I think its toxic to tunnel. The killer is going to punish the one being unhooked for the mistake of the one who did the unhooking. I know it's the easier target to get the injured survivor and a completely legal move, it's just a dick move. I'd hope that killers feel a responsibility to punish bad play styles to make that behavior stop! It's the same as the camping argument. If I want to punish a camper I should not play to his game. Going for unsafe hooks is bad behavior I would hope we're all trying to make this game more fair and there for more fun for everyone. So a call to all killers "I know the easy target but we need you to do the right thing and go get that jerk that thinks he can do whatever he wants right in your face and you'll do nothing about it!" Also how I say camping is different imo...

Camping- staying close to hook to protect the kill and fight off against any attempts at rescue.

Tunneling- waiting at a close proximity to hook not to protect the kill but to be there for the unhooking so you can replace the kill once freed.

Camping- strategy that is sometimes useful especially near the end of match.

Tunneling- a no skill needed easy kill that gets you points but zero respect from me and hopefully from this whole community :)

Bro would you rather have the killer let you go. The killer is there to kill people. Yes if the survivor unhooking made a mistake and did a bad unhook than why should the killer not go after the injured survivor who just came off the hook. How is it the killers fault for taking advantage? I mean the killer can choose any target he wants. If he needs to thin the heard for a survivor making a mistake, than the killer should capitalize on the survivors mistakes. When you take out 1 out of the 4 survivors it becomes more in the killers favor. The killer won't be like "Oh look at that, a survivor made a mistake, I'll let them walk away and do whatever."

When I say bad unhooking, I mean the killer had no time to leave the hook to find another survivor and instead found two at the hooked spot. If you don't give the killer time to find a new survivor he will always go to the place where he knows a survivor is at.

@Zanfer I agree, but it hurts when you lose bloodpoints and the ability to pip. I realize my mistakes and want to learn to deal with it. After reading the comments and threads, I think I can. I'm sorry if I made it feel as if I'm trying to tell people how to play, I just want to try and get to higher ranks. I know now that it really boils down to chases with campers and winning them. If you lose then, just give as much time as you can to your surviving companions. So I again apologize for making it feel as if I'm telling people how to play the game I will admit I kind of was at first but after all the advice, I can learn and change my stance. Thanks for the post though, I really do appreciate it.

I kind of meant in general cause I had survivors telling me how to play killer when all they did was play really well and I didn't do as well during that game. I know how to play killer to what knowledge I have and if I want to get better I'll just play more or look up stuff to understand more things. I don't need another survivor telling me how to kill them. What I was going for more.

    Glad to hear it.

What the developers have done to Killer is just ridiculous. You feel incredibly powerless unless you play Nurse or Hillbilly, and I refuse to play the same two Killers over and over just to feel like I'm doing something. Survivor is boring to play, it's simply too easy to play as Survivor. I don't want to play Survivor, I want to play Killer. I want to play Killer and be satisfied. I post this here in hopes a developer sees this, or at least get a response from one of them.

I don't want to play DBD anymore. I played Survivor for a while, but that got boring, and Killer is the only entertaining part of this game. But they have ruined it, and the community's pleas for any sort of balance IN FAVOR of the Killer has either been given a half-assed fix, or is ignored. I don't hate this game, I just hate the direction it's been going in for a while. And it doesn't seem like it's going to get any better.

Even the new DLC doesn't seem to be bringing anything that will make playing Killer more satisfying and fun. No matter how hard you try, unless you try-hard as heck and bring in top-tier perks/add-ons, you will not have fun because the Killers are so weak and playing Survivor is a cakewalk. Again, I don't hate this game, I want to see them bring changes that will actually make Killer fun. But until that day comes, if it ever does, I'm not going to keep playing this game. I will not buy anymore of the DLC. Hopefully in the future I can come back and actually enjoy playing Killer, but until that day, I'm not going to keep frustrating myself playing DBD. The game has incredible potential, but the developers need to remember that the Killer is meant to be an unstoppable force, not a laughable one.

The devs did talk about how they are going to make animations better and going through old killers and making them better. Time is the essence here.

  • The worst part in this game is when people try to tell you how to play the game.

So I remember the time where everybody took this perk. The only problem with this perk is, that you can't decide if you want to use the perk or not.

What about changing it like this: If you unhook someone with left click BT isn't triggered, if you unhook someone with right click BT is triggered. This would allow survivors to choose if they want to use it or not.

What do you think about it? Would it be to op?

If you play it smart you can use BT in the correct way. Whenever you are in the terror radius BT will proc so just use that to your advantage.

The Hatch changes will not be going live with 2.0.0
They were included in the PTB for testing purposes only and we aren't satisfied with the mechanic as it is right now. We are exploring more end-game mechanics and ideas.

Yeah, I saw that. All I am saying is this second iteration of the hatch change with the free exit gates is horrible.

How many games have you played with it so far? You realize that all end game perks proc at the end of the game which can be very interesting. Who cares of the gates get power, they still have to go through the work on escaping still. You would still have to play stealthy to get out.
