Midwich:
Indoors so finding gens and patrolling gens is difficult.
2 Floors with minimal ways to go up or down so getting to areas is hard for both sides
Breakable walls
Mostly unsafe pallets but theres like 20 of them
Only 2 ways to get out of the middle section of the map
Very short distance between exit gates.
Literally, everything that can be bad about a map is something wrong with it. And the worst part is because of the licenses they can't make the changes required to make it a good map.

Also, count how many are the same charm with just a different background.
Or heck just counts how many are charms because no one cares about charms.

You aren't supposed to win every game.
Have you ever thought that if just maybe if you stop demanding for nerfs you wouldn't see so many try hard SWF teams? It's the only way to possibly win because as you said it...your matches are ending because of the hatch. If the game was fair, many of your games the gates should be opened solos or SWF, not the hatch.
I also doubt you see a SWF every match unless you are not as good as you think.
Funny you should say that when you have demanded BBQ, Noed, and spirit to be nerfed?
Maybe if you stop demanding for nerfs you wouldn't see so many try-hard killer players.

I love his design, hate how weak he is.

They have a very long road ahead of them to make the game anywhere near competitive-ready, let alone esports level.

I mean we will have to see how the lore lines up.
But if this is them taking your idea, I hope they at the very least give you credit for it.

The reason that they're not horizontal is because it allows us to make things clearer.
Who knows what might need to be added in the future as well, we have said there might be more things on the HUD in future.
It would be nice if the devs at bhvr said specifically the reasons or at least ideas they have for the new vertical ui.
-
How much of your soul did you sell to bhvr to not go insane in those 7,700 hours
-
Yes
-
It merely took the devs ruining their game to the point of enough survivors said screw these stupid hits to either stop playing or start playing killer.
-
The other survivors escape. Unless if they are bad survivors, then I want to be the only one to leave that game.

He has counterplay that is effective.

Hot Take: In most games the hitboxes are normal. High ping Killers still get weird hits and the new animations amplify that but in 90% of the games there's no difference.
Here's a three minute video with lots of chase on the new patch showing the hitboxes being normal:
Highlights of the Killer NOT getting hits that would happen if hitboxes were bugged are 0.50, 2:28 and 2:35
Congratz you found 3 mins of functional hitboxes and servers in DbD.
Here, let me just pull up 100 hours worth of stream content from this week alone proving that this is the exception to the rule.
Hitboxes/desync are a problem.
So what are you trying to prove here?
that 1/5 hits will look Ok. Well yay the game works 20% of the time.
heck even if it was 1/2 hits that looked fine (which it isn't) game is functional 50% of the time.

I dont look at the prizes frequently. So Every time... every single time I level up, It said I unlocked something and I'm like (Zelda Chest theme) then I open it up and (fart sound) it's a blank box. Might aswell be a troll face 🤣 it feels like Filthy Frank "You just got pranked"
Couldn't even be bothered to put a measly like 10k bp in the empty spots.

Glad to see this post / petition is still going strong!
One thing I find alarming though is the fact that @DerZuntor @shadowman0105 and @Zagrid took it as gospel that the UI had no way of being reversed, and that’s just 3 users that voiced their belief.
Its not that it can't be reversed unless BHVR is the most inept studio in all of existence.
Its just that post is clear indication they at the very least will do everything in their power to not revert back to the old UI
-
For those that don't know.
Dead by daylight mobile has a UI that is now better than the main game and...
Fully customizable
Who knew that DbD would lose to its own mobile port.

Let's get it trending on Twitter. Hold the line and don't let up until we see some changes.

Didn't get long in my tomb.
tomb?
"Public Test Beta". Where they give things a spin for feedback before putting it in the base game.
the ptb is there mainly to find bugs. not to see the public reaction.
granted, the reaction has some effect, but that's not why there's a ptb.
Unfortunately that reasoning isn't always true.
Take the twins patch where all the bugs in the PTB were brought to live and with a few more for good measure.
This patch is better but we have worse bugs and they just ignored all the feedback.
Also not to mention they have a "feedback and suggestions" section specifically for the PTB
So checkmate

The Devs have finally started to be more open to listening to the community insulting them/ asking someone to lose their job is just going to make things worse.
They started being open to feedback?
I would believe that if they didn't take a month worth of feedback about the mid chapter and do literally nothing with it
-
You mean like this?https://clips.twitch.tv/GrotesquePhilanthropicFriseeTheThing
-
Agreed. This patch is extremely Anti community and/or anti player.
-
Wow they UI went the live and the feedback is still overwhelmingly negative. Who could have seen this coming!?
-
New update may not be the buggiest but it is surely up there in worst patches they have done. Probably right below twins and right above old legion
-
Changes yes, improvements?
Ehhhhhhhhhh.
Pebble buff can stay. Throw everything else in the garabge and just start over.
-
They literally can't
-
This is by far the most Anti community feedback change they have made in the history of DbD
-
@Delia said:
The new ui is real rubbish! It is strongly recommended to change it back to the original!
They are incapable of changing the UI back
-
Trying to look at it is like
-
1. Bait
2. Attention seeker
3. The 5% minority of players that actually like the new UI.
-
Onstream they said that the people who bring in keys have an escape rate with them in the single digits of %s
Now this number is exactly like OoO stats. The people who bring OoO and keys are usually the players that get tunneled out of the game the fastest, so just because people that use them die a lot, that doesn't mean they are not a problem still.
-
How much backlash are they willing to take is the question.
No one in the community likes this new UI. Or at least the very few that do are in a like 5% minority.
There has never been a feature they have added for no reason that more people have hated before.
So the question is, will they cave?
-
The length of the queue times does definitely cause weird things to happen. The matchmaking currently is based on rank, region, and time queued. (I believe) So if you have been queued for a while and are in a close region to the killer, chances are even if the ranks are weird you will still be paired with a killer.
Now if it were something like 40 survivors to a killer at night instead of 400 survivors per killer. There would be more balanced games of rank and region with lower queue times overall.

I'm not colorblind but I wholeheartedly support this. Especially, after the PTB and seeing the status effect icon, which was perfectly fine and nobody ever complained about, being changed to a red circle slapped on another red circle. I genuinely thought it was a troll job. I mean, that's basic design common sense, not even venturing into accessibility territory.
The whole UI needs to be scrapped or at least be remade to fix the Old UI.
I really don't get why they make random changes like that making the exhaustion go from white on nothing to red on orange.

I just found out DS isn’t a anti tunnel perk. A dev even said it, we need a anti tunnel perk because of tunneling killers.
I believe this quote is offended misinterpreted. I believe the dev was discussing DS before it got changed where it was able to be used before getting hooked with no time limit associated with it. Back then it was 100% and anti snowball/momentum perk. Now it is a 100% anti tunnel perk that can be used as an anti snowballing perk.

Source?
Sounds like you're making that up.
Making up which part? The part with them balancing for the top 1% of killers.
I have an excellent source for that, just watch Almo, the game designer. He streams and said the reason they are looking to nerf Freddy is that the top 1% of Freddy players are "overperforming"
However, he neglected to say whether or not those games were against the top 1% of survivors. My guess is that they aren't because of how poorly ranks and matchmaking are. There might be like 7 Freddy games like that. And even then we have no idea what the RNG of those games was like. Or the map, or the perks, or whether or not the players were actually playing seriously.
That's, why I say balancing anything in this game based on the data they pull from the game, is nothing more or less than a complete joke.
-
The data that they use to make changes based on killers is from the top 1% of killer players.
If they made survivor changes based on the top 1% of survivors, well there would certainly be more survivor nerfs than what we are seeing.
But to be honest I don't think we need survivor nerfs. We need a solo player buffs.
Bring solo survivors up to the level of an SWF team. Then buff all the killers accordingly. Then every survivor would have the tools to succeed if they work together.
-
@Almo said:
Legion's performance is average; right in the middle of the pack.
Is this the data you are pulling from the top 1% of Legion players when the ranks in games look like this?
The only data that matters is the top 1% of killers going against the top 1% of survivors.
And how can you tell what are the top 1% of a killer, People who kill a lot? What if the killer only uses the most powerful add ons?
Is a top 1% huntress one that hits all their shots or the one that wins through shear disconnects because they only bring Iridecesent head?
How can you take any meaningful data from anything in public games when there are so many variables that go into every game?
What happened to the old experiments that happened over a year ago with the Vanilla Gameplay Experiment?
Why can't we seed maps so we can remove map RNG from our experiments and custom games?
Why are queue times so long for survivors at certain times of the day? Is it from the lack of killers playing?
How can you make any decisions about which maps are more or less powerful when each killer can perform drastically different depending on the map?
Is the Skill Based Matchmaking still gonna happen? If it is, what variables are considered for a high skill player? Kills? Again we run into the issue of broken add ons carrying killers. Also, bad or good map RNG alone can change the outcome of a match even with the same players and the same killer playing with the same skill, map RNG can decide whether they win or lose. Are survivor items considered for skill-based matchmaking?
I have so many questions, but I never get any answers, so I can never trust any of the choices or decisions that are made without knowing what goes into the collection of data that leads to those decisions.
All of this just seems to be wasted typing because I never get any answers or even confirmation any of what anyone says here gets considered for the game. That's why the whole community feels that any feedback we give is put directly into the shredder, we never see anything come from it or ever even have it acknowledged that someone read it.
-
Refund it as fast as possible and uninstall the game until they fix this crap.
-
Stop defending the devs.
This patch is unacceptable and they deserve nothing postitive until this gets fixed.
-
Probably not. But the ones developing the game don't get to make the decision on how buggy the release is. They just work until the higher ups tell them to send the update.
-
They have a schedule they are forced to keep by the higher ups at BHVR.
The same higher ups that don't care how good the game is or how buggy it is as long as it makes them money. The only reason this wasn't delayed is money.
Releasing this as is without a label calling it unfinished or early access is basically scamming people who decided to buy it with money not knowing how unfinished and buggy everything is.
-
This is why bloodlust should be in the game
*proceeds to play badly showing that bloodlust carries killers that are bad*
Likewise we need a better ranking system so killers don't face veteran survivors so their usual tactics are ineffective.
Overall, BHVR still has a lot of work to do to make the game better and not a chore to play.
-
@JoeyBob said:
Bloodlust allows killers to potentially down survivors when they've been in a chase for a long time without breaking pallets. Not only does this change force killers to break pallets they could otherwise bloodlust, but it gives the potential to drastically increase chase times without any downside to the survivors.
Game is just becoming more and more survivor sided. First they nerfed bloodlust now theyre removing it all together.
I do believe the devs are survivor sided since more than half their player base is survivors.
But this is small compared to other things they have left unadressed for years. Like the bug making downed players make no sounds.
Probably their most insulting thing is that in 4 years of development they have not even talked about making a color blind mode.
-
I think the whole hook system needs to be looked at. Struggling is bad, suiciding on the hook is bad. Some changes need to be done.
Also killers need a conceed button too. Killers going afk suck so a way for the killer to just say ok you win would be nice.
-
I really think this is just players finding a way around BHVR's excuse for graphic settings.
No brightness options, shadow options, or color blind settings
And the FOV slider is still bound to perks.

The map hasn't even been released yet. We know nothing of the other side of this wall, you're just making baseless assumptions here.
If this is how you feel then DC, I promise no one will be particularly bothered. There's no need to announce it on the forums like this; it achieves nothing.
On the contrary. I can tell that this is one of the top floors. Meaning that you can jump out of it and if you have balanced landing you basically disappear for the killer. For anyone else I guarentee you can gain enough distance on the killer if they vault through it to get back to the window and do it until it gets blocked. Maybe even break chase so it doesn't get blocked which would 100% make it an infinite.
Second, if I DC no one else will be bothered. But I like to voice my opinion here so that if enough like minded people on this issue agree they can actually change it. Thats the whole reason anyone ever complains about anything on the forums. In an effort to have it fixed.
In addition, yes we do need to test it out but considering last map rework we got with that infinite on iron works of mistery its likely this is exactly the same. Its just a god loop with a pre dropped pallet.
Lastly, here is a video on why breakable walls are bad if you don't know why they are so bad. https://youtu.be/JtzQy5UESgc
