Outta 20 matches playing as dredge desolution activated 1 time i believe theres to many limitations to the perk to get little to none value outta the perk my suggested changes are remove the terror radius limitation and the 3 secs it need to activate
its just bad on dredge and maybe you just havent been forcing people into activating it enough

Ah yes. I do have all the perks on all the characters. Totally.
well very soon you will when they change the prestige system

if 3 is somehow not enough just use 2 characters?

This is a very annoying thing I see like half the matches I play with randoms. They wait till you're there and try to hop off of hook or hop off in your face. So annoying. Wasting my time trying to risk a save on them, and if I were to be chased away after they attempt they're almost always going to go to stage 2. I could have just stayed on or found a gen to work on, or help another teammate.
for the funny.

It was one of my favorite maps to play one because I found it extremely unique and one where a win/lose rate seemed normal for me and I feel like most people miss it. So why doesn't Behavior just make a map that's like Hawkins but isn't it's not like Netflix made a creepy lab it's a common type of please to be fair so why don't they just make a sorta new Hawkins.
i hate indoor maps but i miss hawkins it was easily the best one and the best map for sm myers

Hi.
Some of you probably remember these threads, most of you don’t. Basically I made a poll asking which killer would be most rewarding to master and Oni won, so I decided that I’d spend the next couple of months playing pretty much exclusively Oni and trying to get as good at him as I could.
That didn’t happen, because of a lot of personal things outside of Dbd, but also because I switched platforms and had to start all the way from scratch. Now I feel like I’m ready to take on this challenge again, and on PC this time.
Basically, how this is going to work is every week I’ll make a thread logging my progress, maybe attaching a recording so you people can give me pointers.
this is what happens when someone takes “get good” too seriously. Anyway, just an announcement that this is going to be making its return. Hopefully I’ll actually commit to this, haha.
give pwyf a try its fun when you have stacks and are running and it also helps get hits when you are m1 killer
-
i hope not for their sakes cause id personally just want to die irl if i mained freddy
-
i hope that hope gets buffed to be infinite after all gens are done
-
if you cant win with bad stuff bring good stuff
-
Haddonfield is literally fine, if anything i win on it more as killer then surv
-
i like no mither as it is and i even liked it pre buff because i think some memey/ fun perks are good
-
i never play over 5% volume as surv or killer and my music is always to loud to hear the game its alot more fun that way imo
-
but survivors taunting isnt toxic neither is camping or tunnelling so just play how you want and dont take it to heart when someone does the same
-
its annoying till you get good and then its a god send in most cases atleast

What the hell do you play that has more skill then a killer who losses sight in a game where audio frequently breaks? There no breakdown of the experience no explanation on the ups and downs. Just hur dur she strong I play her no weaknesses. I don't need a ted talk but a simple breakdown of her strengths weaknesses would go someway to legitimize you points.
her only weakness is iron will and literally just turn your headphones up and you hear the footsteps anyway and on top of having one of the strongest basekits she had some of the strongest addons in the game by far
-
because you should get punished for playing badly?

Reading audio movements is not easy. You might not like playing against spirit but don't let your frustration colour your perspective. There are many prominent excellent streamers/players who would disagree. Yes it was frustrating to play against because you have little to no feedback have limited means to control your scratch marks and have limited tools to fight her. But she required good sensory readings which was often buggy since sound in dbd is always fluctuating. Also was is a key word her new counterplay seems to have hurt her massively if her surprisingly large decline has something to say about it.
i was literally a spirit main for like 3-4 hundred hours back a couple years ago and she was the easiest killer ive ever mained 💀

standing at a gate isnt toxic lol

I think what you're asking is the strongest killer with the lowest skill FLOOR. The skill ceiling would be how much skill you CAN possibly put into the character, while the skill floor would be the least amount of skill you NEED to put into the character to achieve results.
That being said, Bubba has quite a low skill floor, but the skill ceiling for him is actually quite high seeing the curves you can do around loops as long as you can cut the corners without bumping and triggering a tantrum.
To answer your question about the strongest killer with lowest skill ceiling, I'd say Demogorgon. Although not the strongest killer by any means, there is also only so much you can do with his power. As soon as you learn to use his lunge, that's basically about it. It doesn't take too much game sense to use his portals and not that much mechanical skill to use his lunge effectively.
Now which killer would be the strongest with the lowest skill floor I would actually mention clown. Even though I used Bubba for my example before of having a low skill floor, I think Clown requires much less effort and forwards thinking than Bubba, as long as you aren't flat out on the open. Just throw the tonic at a loop and that gets things done, with very little skill put into it.
bruh actually stfu i hate when people try to tell me what i mean, bubba has a low skill CEILING and floor

The skill ceiling is the peak a killer can be played. Because a killer can be played well with little effort doesn't take away the ability to play them at a higher skill level.
yes i understand the difference between a skill ceiling and a skill floor it literally doesn't change the fact that old spirit skill ceiling was tiny and she still was the 2nd strongest killer in the game

That would be a low skill floor. Easy to pick up without much practice.
thats a low skill ceiling to there wasnt anything special about a good spirit except that they had good headphones yet she was still the second best killer

Everywhere I look at people talking about playing killer in dbd, they are always talking about how stressful the role is to play. Survivor que times are long, because there are far more people playing survivor than there are playing killer. I, too, can't really bring myself to play killer anymore, on account of it being far too stressful. I have more fun playing survivor, or any other game, really. With all the people talking about how stressful and unfun it is to play half of their damn game, you would think bhvr would do something about it. Many other devs would. So BHVR, are you going to do anything to make 50% of your game be more appealing and not so stressful for a large amount of your players?
killer will always be more stressful then survivor its natural with the role but you can just change your mindset on the game and not care about the outcome of a match and all the stress simply goes away
-
@Mr_K said:
Low skill ceilings implies a lack of efficiency no matter how well you play them.
What you're looking for is lowest skill floor. A killer that takes little practice to play efficiently. Skill ceiling is the peak which one can do with a killer.
High skill ceiling would be killers like Nurse and Blight but also they also have high skill floors as it takes practice to even play efficiently.
Trapper would be an example of low skiller floor as is a basic M1 killer and it doesn't take much to trap pallets and window. At the same time Trapper can have a fairly mid to high skill ceiling as players learn better trap placements in tune with survivor movements. What limits him is what limits most M1 killers, map design.
that's just not even true old spirit was braindead easy and was the 2nd best killer in the game

I personally run Ace in the Hole, Deja Vu, Slippery Meat, and Streetwise for most of my survivors, being the player that does generators for most the game, but I get a fair share of crap for having pretty "straightforward" perks, as in not ones with overly complicated abilities as well as it being called a "rookie build". I would like to see what your sweaty builds that you like to play regardless of what others think, toxic, beginner or just annoying in general.
well i got told to k myself last night like 3 different times as no perk or addon nurse

Does anyone else get hateful messages from players when you are playing the killer. I am not breaking any rules when I play I have already checked to make sure. I play to do all challenges in the archives and that's what I am doing and players are sending me hateful messages. I guess my question is, is this normal? It's a survival/ killer game you either die or survive. People get really mad when they die. WHY?
yeah theres alot of malding andys out there just troll them or ignore them

When I play Trickster, not every time or every day but I average about 1 dc every other match. I honestly dont get it because when I switch to Huntress.... I literally perform 100000x better as she can do everything Trickster can do but better.. and I don't get nearly as many dcs.
Is it an aesthetic thing? Ive heard it's because he's a lose/lose if you're in a dead zone but I can down you faster as huntress in the same spots.
most people just find him mind numbingly boring to vs

thx for the input champ

I think her base kit is fine, but some of her add-ons are too much. You have allready the best base kit killer in the whole game, that ignores almost all defense of Survivors and you put on top of that good add-ons. That's just too much. I think versing a Nurse would be fine if you didn't see something like this (and it's not rare to see it).
her addons should get nerfed to the ground same with blight or changed to all be similar to nurses purple addons (excluding range) that make the basekit power different in some way and if one day the game is more balanced as a whole nurse should get a rework

elodie and billy or blight

As we all know survivor adepts are really simple, just escape using the characters 3 own perks. But when it comes to killer adepts, you need double pip which also depends on the rank you are on (only slightly but in the end it can be game changer)
If you compare the 2, survivor and killer adepts, killer has to do alot more work in order to get theirs. Yes they are possible if you play extremely well. But you have to play "fair" in order to get the iridescent emblems. Sometimes its not even possible when survivors bombrush the hooks and all that. So i would like to see what kind of ideas you would have that make the killer adepts slightly easier than they currently are.
i would keep it the same because while its alot harder then surv and certain killers like billy and bubba are harder to get at least the achievement is somewhat of a challenge and if a certain killer is really that hard for someone u just wait till reset and its literally zzz easy at rank 20

3) stop caring about winning and just have fun cause its not that deep
