I screw around with it all the time, who cares if I miss and even if (GASP) I lose a game for wasting time... I wanna have fun!!!

sweet shots though I know it feels so good to hit when you can’t see

My thoughts exactly! I know I could probably be more efficient by faking the power to get basic hits all the time but that's just one hell of a boring playstyle so I go for risky shots as often as possible.

While I'll admit, those are some good shots...What is up with this video quality? lol

The clip files seem to get corrupted sometimes when I'm running out of memory space. Sorry for violating your eyes haha

In terms of chase potential he's one of the best simply because he can ignore obstacles. If you're up against a god-tier PH, you're going down no matter what. Vault/pallet? Get hit with PoTD. Try to fake it? Get M1'd.

    Decent PHs won't spam PoTD.

Damn I must be the worst Pyramid Head in the world then because I spam Punishment of the Damned whenever I feel like I can predict their movements (particularly without line of sight/behind walls).

  • In terms of gameplay it takes some getting used to and even then it may feel like things are out of your control on both sides.

Visually and authentically however it is -BY FAR- the best map they've ever designed.

  • The thing about a 2 minute 4k and pumping out most gens in 2 minutes is the fact both things are completely in the control of the survivors. Question: Was this 39 seconds 4k of mine out of their control?

    https://youtu.be/tKTDzsQOe7U

Exactly. This wasn't the result of my skill or game balance. It was their decision to meme in front of my chainsaw and it was the decision of the other 2 survivors to not run away.

Now losing 3 out of 5 gens (for instance) is mostly in the survivor's control just like my 39 second 4k. If everyone spawns on a separate generator on a big map (Midwich for instance) and immediately starts repairing instead of derping around doing nothing then the killer WILL lose 3 gens after the first chase IF the first chased survivor merely knows the BASICS about looping.

You will never down ANY decent survivor in a few seconds (even if you find them injured) unless you play one of the few killers that ignore pallets, windows, distances and exhaustion perks.

There's a reason the developers are planning to add an Early Game Change. They know most killers have 0% control over the early game which isn't fair and balanced in anyway whatsoever.

That's probably why the devs added that cooldown mechanic to Billy as well. Because his map pressure needs a limiter with the upcoming Early Game Change especially if future map reworks make maps smaller as well.

I've turned off my chat. If I win, I get cussed out. If I lose, it's much the same. I turn it back on sometimes though, like tonight I could have gotten a 4k but the two survivors left were so cute. They risked their lives to boop me. I'm weak for it. Now, if it's the start of the game, and you try to boop me, ur gonna get bit. Occasionally at end game though I feel nice, lol.

This piggy has to be tamed over time haha that's kinda sweet. I rarely see any pigs that allow me to boop the snoot AT ALL no matter the circumstances. That's so selfish! That snoot belongs to all of us! >:(

  • I remember I messaged a Huntress that 5 gen slugged me and everyone else and told the killer they had pretty good accuracy as they landed some pretty quick ranged shots back to back like John Wick. The killer thanked me and we moved on.

I respect good players on both sides and I accept and realize when I messed up.

  • I don't heal as survivor unless someone wants to heal me after finishing a gen.

  • 50/50 (red rank on both sides since late 2017/early 2018).

  • The nerf was justified.

The only thing that confused me was they didn't buff anything to make up for the nerf. A decreased cooldown on successful ranged attacks would have made sense for instance but well... He's ok anyways.

  • He has to charge up the chainsaw allowing you to get to a window, pallet, structure that denies his chainsaw etc. Also hitting someone with the chainsaw sprint isn't too easy IF the killer has decent internet. You can easily juke the chainsaw sprint unless they're right on you for several seconds in which case you -as a survivor- messed up A LOT.

  • Instadowns (powers) must be earned while second chance perks are used to make up for mistakes. Major difference.

Using reverse psychology on the devs in order to get bubba buffed even more, I would expect nothing less from such an insidious killer main

Hahaha damn you got me 😂

  • @LetsPlayTogether said:

Cause half of this isnt like intended, but killer mains dont care.

Yeah killer mains bad, survivor mains good! That's why I (the most dedicated Bubba main to ever exist) said that PTB Bubba is too strong, right? Because killer mains don't care and all of them want the ez 4k- right?

I play both sides, and I think killer is easy mode. I get a 4k almost every time easily. Also, apply gen pressure is super easy. Get good at chases, down survivors, get early hooks, slug sometimes. Only hook if theres no one around, and always use infectious. Slug as much as you can. Getting two slogans and that only one person is on gens at most. I personally think that the game is in its most balanced state. It takes skill to win on both sides. Just GIT GUD.

How can you call killer easy mode when you admit you have to slug everytime with Infectious Fright to win? 🤔

  • Unbreakable did get buffed a while ago (increased recovery speed). As for slugging for the 4k: Nothing toxic about that.

Killers want 4 kills - survivors want 4 escapes - both sides are trying EVERYTHING POSSIBLE to achieve their mission.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1431540#Comment_1431540

Thats why its harder to play survivor you need to rely on your team and sometimes they just bad you will never get perfect team on solo q.

I wouldn't say it's "harder" because your own skill really doesn't matter as a solo survivor since you will ALWAYS die if your teammates do nothing even if you are a god survivor. A better way to describe it is solo q is "luck based gameplay".

If you play well as a solo survivor you can easily get your pip pretty much everytime but escaping is out of your control due to teammates that can either be total beasts or complete potatoes.

Unfortunately solo q teammates are mostly potatoes since the rank reset system makes it near impossible NOT to hit red ranks over time. Also it's just way too easy to pip and rank up.

  • Quite frankly:

Winning streaks mean nothing because most survivors are bad at the game no matter how you put it. The game is definitely SLIGHTLY survivor sided based on the highest potential on both sides. If all 4 survivors are DECENT at chases, run meta builds AND repair gens at all times even while injured you WILL lose as a killer. Simple as.

However since most people are really bad at chases, scared, self care in a corner even with sloppy butcher and Urban Evade around the map even on red ranks it is fairly easy to win as killer most of the time.

I 4k most of my matches myself on red ranks but more often than not I notice that I didn't chase specific survivors a lot throughout the match which means THEY DIDN'T REPAIR GENS EFFECTIVELY so most 4ks mean nothing.

Play some games on red ranks and ask yourself "what is EVERY survivor ABLE to do right now individually" and you will often notice some of them DID have enough time to pump out gens for several minutes (total)

  • Even though you tried to be sarcastic you described fairly efficient survivor gameplay. Just do gens whenever you can even while injured, throw pallets early and extend the chase with an exhaustion perk. That's in fact enough to beat most killers regardless of their skill level. However all 4 survivors must play like this in order to make it work so you need to add another step:

    "play in a SWF team"

  • I guess it reduces their overall work as the devs would have to change the descriptions of said addons and perks everytime values get changed/buffed/nerfed. Could be a reason.

  • DBD is not a tournament ready game as rng, maps, latency etc has far too much of an impact on the outcome of a match.

I keep hearing this, what is this early game change and when is it coming? When the clown rework is coming? lol

The devs haven't revealed any information about it yet but I suppose it's coming with the next chapter or the midchapter after the next chapter otherwise they wouldn't have mentioned it I think. I wish we knew more about it. I'm really curious what they're planning for the early game.

  • Early Game Change is coming at some point so we can't have old Ruin back as the combined slowdown would probably be too much.

  • See you when the next chapter drops!

On a serious note: If you really leave forever I hope you'll find a more entertaining game with a wholesome community. DBD's community can be exhausting and you have to be oblivious to consider this fact undetectable. Don't let your health get exposed over a game otherwise it may cause psychological madness or deep wounds that may affect your daily life forcing you to snap out of it in the long run.

  • I will make people miss instasaw-Billy.

If it's a Bubba or Billy, I'm getting the gen done and leaving TBH.

I really wish more people played like you. As survivor it's my mission to beat the killer as a team so as long as I get 3 out of 4 out alive I feel like I won even if I'm the one that died to the facecamper.

At least you dont have to run add ons to do good with him though

Pyramid Head gets bullied quite easily by decent survivors if you don't run a proper build.

Tru3 (who spent his entire subathon playing exclusively Pyramid Head and thus should have a decent idea on how to play him well) got bullied by what looks like a russian-2man SWF + 2 solos yesterday.

Skip to 1:46:15 to see the results. Now imagine an optimal 4 man SWF team. Tru3 even tried to slug, camp and tunnel and nothing helped. Still 4-man-escape. Pyramid Head just isn't as strong as people think. Against decent survivors he needs a proper build including addons and lots of lucky hits through the wall.

    "console players can't experience Q and E billy" ?

I mean, console players can't experience Q and E billy, which was what made him very strong. It was really fun, but as I always said, Billy (along with Freddy, Doc, maybe plague) was the noob destroyer, the most hated killer. It was obvious they would have nerf him.

Uhmm.. You realize curving is braindead easy on console, don't you?

I see around 1 or 2 Pyramid Heads per Day, sometimes none. Its just normal Ratio, he is not brandnew anymore, so less people are playing him. But I dont notice that he is more rare than other Killers.

How many Freddies do you see on a regular basis? Just curious.

  • Pyramid Head isn't overly strong and people are starting to learn how to play against him resulting in mediocre performance.

People want to dominate so most of them eventually return to their actual mains like Freddy, Spirit, Hillbilly etc.

Personally I'm still playing Pyramid Head a lot as I've been a fan of the Silent Hill franchise since my childhood but in the long run I will stick to my actual main - Bubba.

Can't wait for his buff. People will regret touching my basement chest like never before.

  • Totally random skillcheck by the way!

Omg. You gave me an idea. Starcourt Mall from Stranger Things would be dope

Actually the devs originally meant to add the mall as a map for the Stranger Things chapter if I remember correctly but they eventually decided to go for the Hawkin's Lab instead. So while we may not get the Stranger Things mall the chances are (relatively) high that they will add a mall map at some point. Maybe it will resemble the Starcourt Mall to some extent, too if it's not a license issue.

  • So you wouldn't want to play in a mall for instance?

    Untitled Image

  • Yes, survivors are currently able to pump out most or even all generators as long as they're aggressive on the gens (even if you are ending all chases quickly/performing well).

That's why the developers are going to add the Early Game Change down the road.

However if the Early Game Change really slows down the game mechanically I sure hope the devs are planning to get rid of camping/off the hook tunneling as well allowing for a fair experience on both sides.

    - As killer I don't want to feel like the game is a race.

    - As survivor I don't want to feel like the game is a 1 vs 1 against the killer just because the killer HAS TO get rid of 1 survivor as quickly as possible to have a chance against survivors that do nothing but gens even while injured.

  • Maybe... Just maybe... Gens would get repaired if YOU repaired them while your team is getting chased/downed/hooked?

  • @Boss said:

Lol, getting mad in 2020 from getting DH-killed.

Gotta love how the survivor that complained about you (Devour Hope) had Small-Game, too! How did they not manage to find a totem using a perk that literally generates an audio cue when you look near a totem?

  • Soul Guard makes it useless anyways even if the basic attack condition wasn't a thing.

I just think that its dumb that if you do good you lose an item which no one is a dressing instead they are focusing on all my bait comments

Dead By Daylight isn't always perfectly fair I think that's not a secret. You can be a god at looping but due to latency you can still end up getting hit with NOED while vaulting and everyone else immediately leaves (for instance) so you never even had a chance to cleanse totems.

Or you can be a god as killer but everyone brings brand new parts and spawns on different gens on a big map like Ormond and despite their hideously short chases all of them get out (to name an opposite example).

Many items will get destroyed because of one sided rng or even latency. You'll just have to live with that. On the other hand the item isn't immediately consumed and even in solo q there's a chance to have really wholsome teammates.

I remember I once brought a flashlight myself and the killer had Franklin's and a completely random teammate picked it up for me and gave it back after finding me. That was so sweet not gonna lie.

  • @Komodo16 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1422945#Comment_1422945

That's 2 or 3 GENS second it means you lose the item and my friend can easily go longer it was just a example and even I have done 3 minute chases

Actually a 90 second chase equals 0-1 generators - at least in solo q.

I could even upload a 4 minute chase of mine on rank 1 where 0 gens popped. One more reason to play killer.

As for Franklin's I personally don't care about the perk. I never bring items as playing solo q is suicide and thus a waste of an item anyways. It probably is annoying to lose a decent item but on the other hand most survivor items are useless anyways (except for keys, bottled time, brand new part and passive instaheal) so not too much of a bummer afterall unless you only bring the strongest items.

  • @Komodo16 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1422928#Comment_1422928

No its a game, but when you spend hours on your favorite game and grind as hard as you can on your favorire character to have your work unfoiled by people.who will inevitably run this perk to be jerks which I for one am definitely going to run this perk every game and PURPOSELY make chases 90 seconds just so people realize how bad this is

90 second chases aren't even impressive...

  • @bubbabrotha said:

Is this justified? An eye for an eye I say. Btw he was body blocking hook.

Well... I certainly hope you don't expect people to block a hook next to the open gate (for instance) for YOU when you are that survivor that is getting carried to said hook.

It's called teamwork and they literally get points for defending their teammates. Meanwhile you're losing emblem points for camping.

  • This happens every event. Some people who literally never play the game suddenly crawl out of their caves to do this typical "are you in my lobby buddy?" bs because they can't win the legit way and enjoy ruining the event.

Needless to say it's bannable to work with the killer with the intention to kill/grief other survivors.

You can report it using this link:

Copyright © 2019 Behaviour Interactive. All rights reserved.

click on "additional player report information"

You can then describe what happened and if you have a video just upload it on youtube and put the link in the description so the support team can see what happened. When recording clips make sure every client can be identified easily so don't forget to open the menu as it shows player names and their in-game characters.

Also record the post game screen.

If everything is obvious they will get banned pretty quickly.

  • Wait... What?! Not only do you want the timer to stop but you also want to make it based on the terror radius? So you want Wraith, Ghostface, tier 1 Myers, Pig etc to be legally allowed to stand in front of you while regular killers with 32m terror radius should be punished even if they're 30 meters away from the hook chasing someone else? 🤔

  • @LordGlint said:

  • Everyone who thinks the ranged attack should NOT apply tormented should ask themselves - Why not?

    What do cages potentially do?

    1) They deny flashlight saves (which never happens anyways if you look against a wall. Haven't seen a flashlight save in ages).

    2) They deny pallet saves (same as flashlight saves. Haven't seen them in AGES!).

    3) They allow Pyramid Head to save a few seconds (ok that one is a legit argument BUT caging them means NO BBQ, POP GOES THE WEASEL, Make Your Choice, Devour Hope etc. so the cages balance themselves out).

    4) The cages spawn near other survivors allowing for insta-unhooks and easy healing.

    5) the cage auras are no longer revealed to Pyramid Head so while cages may deny Borrowed Time and Decisive Strike they also make it near impossible to tunnel and camp in the first place. In fact the cages will even teleport away IF Pyramid Head finds the caged survivor.

    6) if you cage a survivor instead of hooking them between gens that are being worked on (to name a VERY common scenario) you can't patrol their objective and teammate at the same time reducing your own pressure.

So yeah, I don't see a reason why the ranged attack shouldn't apply tormented. On average - the cages have a rather weak impact. They can even hurt Pyramid Head in terms of pressure.

  • Well, I suppose the number of Billy players will go down a little while the number of Bubba players will explode. His multi-instadown will become VERY potent at base with the changes they've shown.

  • I only use it when I'm in the mood to play jumpscare Bubba. As jumpscare Bubba I will hide near generators, chests, exit gates, hex totems etc. Here's a sample:

    https://youtu.be/8c-0yL2ekUs https://youtu.be/DZBXIxHcCxs

If you watch closely you will see someone was actually hooked in the first clip but since I want to use Insidious in a "fun way" I won't even be near a hooked survivor. Instead I will try and make everyone paranoid by hiding SOMEWHERE in the map.

I could be near that chest you wanted to plunder, or near the shiny hex totem you see in the distance or maybe I'm next to that 90% generator. 😈

But yeah most people just use it to camp hooks so I can see why it needs to be changed eventually. It's an unhealthy perk especially for solo survivors.

1 … 33 34 35 36 37 … 75
