Pyramid head lifts up his sword during his attack after the red light shows up on the ground; the red light is the first tell afaik. He can only attack while in torment mode, but survivors are given no tell that he's actually using POTD until the red light shows up.
Most killers in the game cannot gain distance on survivors while readying a ranged attack. Nurse moves at 96% in exchange for her ability to blink. Demo moves at 92% while readying a shred. Plague moves at 90% while charging either purge. Doctor moves at 77% while charging shock therapy. Huntress moves at 77% while charging a hatchet. Even Deathslinger moves at 75% while aiming down sight; his issue is just that he barely needs to ADS before firing. Pyramid Head is the only true exception to this. He moves at 110% in torment mode and can therefore continue to gain distance on survivors while readying his ranged attack. For survivors, making distance on him while he readies his ranged attack is therefore not an option. Your best option to avoid taking a hit is to dodge his attack, but you can only do this reactively on a good connection. The changes to PH make this slightly less busted because now he can't get an instant M1 out of torment mode, but still, creating a killer whose main counter requires a better ping than is possible in this game for many players is just bad design.
It's not like we can set up our own servers to host online matches. We can't control how close we live to the game server.
While everything is correct it must be mentioned that Pyramid Head is also the only ranged killer that can not hold his ranged attack infinitely (while moving) so while he may catch up even while using Rites of judgement he's mechanically forced to "shoot" after a few seconds if he decides to hold the ability unlike Deathslinger, Huntress and Demogorgon.
EDIT: Also Deathslinger, Huntress and Demogorgon can move around while holding their ranged attacks. They can even mindgame and go backwards around loops while holding their ranged attacks.
Meanwhile Pyramid Head can not even move left/right while holding his power.

You answered your own question right there.
People that get upset about BM usually do not manage to down the cheeky bugger in "like 10s max" because they're either learning a (new) killer or quite simply not experienced enough to catch the BM-ing survivor.
No one will ever get upset about BM if they know they'll win. People get upset because they feel like they're getting stomped AND bm'd at the same time.

I just hate how fast he is he has a build like Santa and runs like Usain Bolt I wish he was 4.0 or 4.2 killer
You realize 4.0 is exactly survivor speed, don't you?
Sounds like you want an easy bully simulator.

That's exactly what I mean
I still fail to see how the term "rely" makes sense in this regard. To me it sounds like you just dislike optimal Bubba players and want them to play bad (by using regular M1 hits) on purpose.
All killers are supposed to use their powers at all times. Only bad killers turn into M1-NoPower-chase-bots.

I find the cannibal annoying because alot of players i come against who play rely heavily on the chainsaw other wise they don't win. Also find the doctor and huntress annoying as well
Why would a Bubba NOT use his chainsaw? It's his (only) power.

I was actually considering posting a thread like this as well. It is happening so frequently lately it's really annoying especially if it happens when you're getting a good start.

There is no 5 gens pallet loop anymore, if it happens, the killer doesn't know how loops are working. Any good killer main knows when to chase, when to control map and how to end chases in 30 sec.
That's why I put it in quotes. It was meant as a hyperbole to express the mechanical differences.
-
Quote: "If the killer is decent it's a 4k all the time without even using mindgame."
This is exactly why many people enjoy playing Spirit, Pyramid Head, Deathslinger etc.
Because the match is (almost) all about YOU in terms of chases. YOUR experience decides how the chase goes and how long it takes to down said survivor. Pallets and windows only provide partial defense instead of being potential "5 gen looping objects".
Many killers are sick of having to rely on survivor mistakes/mindgames to get their hits/downs/hooks.
-
Let's take a look at the perk:
- it slows down 3 out of 4 survivors (the obsession is not affected by stacks).
- hooking the obsession does not grant stacks.
- the obsession gets a 33% buff to unhooking and healing other survivors (basically a combination of Botany Knowledge and Desperate Measures).
- stacks grant a 3% debuff to 3 survivors.
- killing the obsession disables the perk.
It's an ok-ish perk in my book. Not really worth a perk slot especially considering the fact the obsession receives bonuses that saves them a lot of time throughout the match which nullifies that bit of gen slowdown.
-
Meanwhile I'm playing without any slowdown perks and not giving a damn about any survivor perks yet some survivors still spam voice chats the second I'm winning the match.
It is safe to say there is "that kind of person" on both sides. Entitlement is not a killer OR survivor thing.
-
I will just let them bleed out and chase their teammates in the meantime.

Gen speed is fine. I'm also Red Rank with both so I can say that Killer is yes I say it again too easy to play. Looping is not the problem but damm the devs are nerfing loops every months. Look at Ormond do you think the rework is OK?
Would you be so kind as to post some of your red rank killer gameplay? Since you're saying gen speed is fine even as Demogorgon I'm assuming you're playing without slowdown perks as well.
-
Before his rework you had to switch between treatment and punishment (hitting) mode. This action took around 1 second (can't remember the exact value).
You were unable to hit survivors while in treatment (shocking) mode. As a result his anti loop was meh to say the least.
He also didn't have static blast before his rework. Instead every survivor gained madness over time while standing inside his terror radius. So his tracking was good but still nothing compared to static blast.
-
Original Tinkerer. It used to be a power buffing perk.
Now it's a "get off my gen" perk that's boring to use and annoying to go against.
-
As killer: I don't mind any survivor perks to be honest.
As survivor: Ruin because it seems like a training wheel for mediocre killers (no offence intended - really). I just dislike the idea of "winning a gen back" for existing.

I remember I got a message from a Doctor **** talking me because I was the last Survivor. Crazy thing is it was AFTER he killed me and finished with 4K. Some Killers are never satisfied, even after they win.
Take your win and move on. I don’t have any interests in messaging you when I get murdered and you got a 4K so don’t message me talking ish when you win. I just wanna play.
That kind of people usually quit the game after getting destroyed by a few good teams so I wouldn't worry about it. If you got under his skin without doing anything imagine what he will feel like when an optimal squad destroys him.

This is true. It is always the excuse of survivors are potatoes. Every time.
Somehow in DBD, survivors are all potatoes and killers are all skilled masters in their role and one single loss is a result of survivors being OP and never because of their own mistake. The fact of the matter is, they all need to be in their 4 man SWF genrushing to possibly win.
There's 1 killer and 4 survivors so the odds of getting a skilled killer is factually considerably higher than getting skilled survivors - especially considering the fact it is easier to hit red ranks as survivor than killer.
-
"Anytime you stun the Killer with a pallet and the Killer breaks the pallet you can collect a broken piece of the pallet to stun the Killer that piece persists for 40/50/60 seconds.
I feel lime this would give this perk a bit of skill to use"
People would literally let the killer hit them while camping a pallet to get the free stun and "collect the ds" immediately after the pallet break animation never allowing the killer to pick them up. Killers would get DS'd all game by every survivor for no reason.
-
Favourite map on both sides:
Least favourite map(s) on both sides:
All Macmillan maps - particularly Shelter Woods. They're just dark, blue and boring gameplay-wise.
-
That wasn't the sole reason for Ruin's rework.
Old Ruin made it impossible to escape for newer survivors and made virtually no difference for experienced survivors who would hit perfect skillchecks (almost) every time.
New Ruin works the same for new and experienced survivors. You stay on the gen - it gets completed. You leave the gen - you lose said gen.
This concept makes new Ruin more fair than old Ruin while keepi g its powerful effect (slowing down gens).

does victor's attack count as basic as in can he apply sloppy butcher or down exposed survivors? knowing that will affect what i use on him.
as for getting them since they are an OG chapter i will buy them with shards but no way in hell was i spending real money on them at their current state. They look fun but in terms of viability they are awful probably the worst killer in dbd even after the changes unless they get heavily buffed my opinion wont change there.
Apparently Victor's pounce doesn't count as a basic attack so that destroys many possible perk synergies.
Charlotte also loses her terror radius while controlling Victor so you can not use her as a "perk tower", too which is a pity. It would have been interesting to injure people and place charlotte somewhere with terror radius related perks like Coulrophobia allowing Victor to run around in her terror radius and snowball injured survivors.

No, slugged survivors shouldn't be able to give up. We already have people giving up on their first hook.
Don't need people giving up on the floor as well.
-
Your first mistake was playing as Legion.
On a serious note you faced some decent survivors. Notice how nobody camped pallets even while injured, Felix didn't panic-drop the pallet after getting hit (which is something I observe extremely often on red ranks lately) and most importantly all survivors were doing gens at all times instead of lurking around the map doing nothing.
Obviously you made a lot of mistakes. There are so many mistakes I don't even want to list them all but I feel like this would have been a rough match for you even if you had played better because Legion is quite simply not a strong killer mechanically.
As survivor I don't care about getting injured. I will mend in your face and if you stop your frenzy next to me you suffer a stun. I will Sprint Burst away during your stun so have fun catching me. It will take a while and cost you the game.
And if you leave me I will mend and start working on the gen next to me using the Resilience buff YOU gave me by stabbing me with frenzy.
Long story short: Legion is easy to bully and requires weak survivors to perform well consistently.

Look at otzdarvas 50 4k killstreak with non meta killers at red ranks. Killer is obviously too easy right now.
If the above evidence doesn't show that to you, nothing will convince you.
Do you watch streaming SWF teams? Just curious.
Because all the SWF teams I watch literally meme around and usually still win more often than not.
A while ago Jendenise and her friends randomly ended up in Monto's lobby. Jendenise and Monto were streaming at the same time so they randomly faced each other.
That's skillful survivors vs a skillful killer.
They ended up destroying Monto without even trying and he was thinking they were stream-snipers.
That's how powerless he felt. They weren't even trying hard and didn't run optimal builds. He played Leatherface, too.
In terms of maximum potential survivors are definitely stronger than killers (maybe except for Nurse and Spirit) but when you play solo people literally don't know what they're doing which is why you die all the time even if you as 1 survivor play well.
-

All you need to do is watch otzdarva. He gets 50+ winstreaks at red ranks with killers killer mains say are too weak.
Survivors are the role that is too weak atm.
His 4k streaks are trivial for 1 simple reason: He does them against random survivors who sometimes shouldn't even get matched with him. Last time I watched one of his matches he had green rank survivors and even a brown rank.
If he 4k'd against a team of 4 experienced survivors 50 times in a row then I would immediately demand killer nerfs.
Jendenise and her friends can probably escape 500 times in a row against Otz if they wanted to - while meme-ing around.
Noob3 escaped 50 times in a row as a solo survivor if I remember correctly, too.
So yeah - Kill or escape streaks really mean nothing.

Does she gain Undetectable while controlling Victor?

@Kebek said:
@Yamaoka From what I remeber, no. I've used perks with exposed but he just latched onto survivors.
He also has weird interactions with other perks, for example when I used nurses calling I think victor doesn't count as center for it. You can see the aura but only if it's within charlottes range 28m range. That's at least how I remeber it worked.
So you are saying all terror radius perks stick with Charlotte when controlling Victor?
Victor can slug injured survivors and pretty much ignore windows/pallets when you've mastered the pounce (which will become easier I suppose as the devs said they're gonna adjust the pounce) right?
Doesn't that mean Charlotte can be used as some sort of a "perk-tower" that you place at the center of a map so you can go out and snowball as Victor when everyone's injured?
I'm thinking of something like this:
- Coulrophobia
- Sloppy Butcher
- Distressing
- Nurse's Calling
Strategy:
1) Injure all survivors as Charlotte or Victor.
2) position Charlotte somewhere that allows her terror radius to cover the most important parts of the map.
3) Sloppy, Coulrophobia + Distressing will make sure the survivors won't heal quickly.
4) send Victor to snowball them all using "Charlotte's Nurse's Calling".
Obviously this is more of a meme build as it's highly dependant on the map but could be fun on something like Lery's, the Game map or Hawkins.

I plan on playing a lot of them as I loved them on PTB (they might become my second main after slinger if I keep on enjoying them) due to the really cool playstyle of switching between 2 bodies and make the most out of both. It felt like they'll be pretty hard to master as you won't be only juggling survivors but also your bodies. I'm looking forward to getting better with them, especially with victor.
As for the build, Pop, oppression, surveillance, corrupt. I've felt on the PTB that 3 gen strat was pretty good on twins as you can chase with victor and let charlotte's body near gens. Although I'm not sure yet, I'll try as many builds & strategies as I can to see what works well for them.

Something I've been wondering: Does Victor's pounce mechanically count as a basic attack / can he make use of status effects like exposed?

Translation...because I am outplayed in a particular situation, I'm going to take the game hostage for 4 minutes or whatever time so I can get my 4k. That's the lizard brain in it's full glory. Win at all costs...because!..
BHVR condones this behavior or they would allow a speed-up of bleed out for the survivor. Until this option is available, we'll all be the mercy of players like the one who posted this...
Just stop.
You clearly don't understand what a hostage situation is and if a survivor crawls to an area with no hooks they obviously want to bleed out. The killer is not obligated to let them wiggle out just because they crawled into a corner.
-
As a killer: The Early Game. The first few minutes dictate the outcome of a match way too much for how random and luck based it is - especially if you refuse to run gen slowdown perks due to their boring concept (i.e. Ruin = walk near a gen to win it back for existing yaiiii)
The Early Game is so random and luck based all 4 survivors can literally spawn on a gen not far away from me often allowing me to stop the gen and chase them off giving all of us an equal start OR they can all spawn on different gens resulting in multiple gen pops unless the first survivor I chase doesn't know how to use pallets/windows.
Not sure how the devs could fix it unless they got rid of all the slowdown perks.
As a survivor: Camping and tunneling.
As a player (not killer or survivor - just as a player in general) I would like all survivors to have an equal chance of escaping/dying depending on their individual skill and contribution to their objective.
Not sure how the devs could fix this either.
-
This is an exact copy of the other thread right? So I will ask the same question:
What change do you propose?
-
What change do you propose? More difficult ranking system specifically for survivors?
-
I really forgot about the bloodlust experiment during my matches. Felt virtually no difference.
Personally I think they could just remove it completely at this point.
The few M1 killers that may mechanically suffer from the loss of bloodlust could be buffed to compensate.
-
As killer: I never dodge any lobby regardless of what the survivors bring (i.e. keys) as I mostly play for the highlights these days.
Also I'm confident in my skills so I don't even use any gen-slowdown perks anymore and refuse to bring moris (even though I really like some of the mori animations).
As survivor: I dodge lobbies with a key because killers always seem to bring an ebony mori for a key and default skin lobbies as I have never seen a default skin player that didn't play like a complete rank 20 bot.
-
Personally I think when the devs are done reworking the Clown he will be such a beast at base that he won't even need any addons.
As for the effects of his reworked addons:
I'm fairly sure his addons will affect gen repairs, healing or windows because the devs really seem to love giving reworked killers their teachable perks in form of an addon.
Imagine this:
Addon 1 (based on Coulrophobia): Survivors hit by the gas suffer a 50% healing penalty for 60 seconds.
Addon 2 (based on Bamboozle):
Windows within the gas radius will be blocked by the Entity for the duration of the gas.
Addon 3 (based on Pop):
Regressing generators within the gas radius will lose progress 25% more quickly.
@TheClownIsKing what would you think about this?
-
What about Corrupt/BBQ/Pop?
-

Pig, leatherface and Bubba.
- Pig's main strength seems to be tunneling survivors on their way to the boxes. I play with spine chill which disables her stealth ability entirely but when she get's me i get tunneled. That's neither fun nor strong.
- Leatherface can be good but is no fun to play and his main ability is shockingly easy to dodge.
- Bubba is not easy to dodge but i feel like he is picked up extlusevely by noobs who have no idea how to loop and by meme killers. There are some good and sometimes nice Bubba players, but that isn ot the majority.
You realize Leatherface is Bubba, don't you?

Haven't read the comments so not sure if someone else asked but anyways:
1) What killer do you main
2) and what's your usual build?
3) Also if you have clips of a match people could possibly give you some advice on what you could do better.
4) how many hours do you have in the game? It sounds like you can't play regularly which obviously makes it harder to improve and be consistent performance-wise.

I doubt they are trying to ruin his experience on purpose. Maybe they are trying to complete a challenge or something? Just my thoughts.
Wait, I meant to say passively - and yes, dailies and challenges probably contribute to people not doing their objective or making weird decisions causing people like op to get mad and suicide on hook.
It's kinda bad game design as it puts solo survivors at a disadvantage since a SWF team can just talk about what they're gonna do beforehand and deal with it in a coordinated way.
It is whatever personally I just play for the chases as a solo survivor. At the end of the day I know escaping is a team effort / out of my control.
