Worse then hooks in most cases, cuz they prohibit you from using perks that require hooks.
-
I play on gamepass and people are almost always shocked to see me type after a match.
They also take the opportunity to share whatever invective they have saved up.
-
Jesus. That's a brutal commute. If you're not getting paid for travel that's a lot of your life that's just getting wasted
-
Not looking forward to going totem hunting as killer while three gens pop in the distance.
-
Uhhh. I think it's really really cool and good. I enjoyed the Livestream and the info on what's going on a great deal.

Hi there! 😊
Just to confirm, the autoban changes are not live yet. We totally understand the concern with this. We'll announce more information closer to the date they get pushed live for full clarification!
I appreciate the posting and engagement more than I can really express. But this is just going to lead to survivors reporting killers, constantly. I get called a camping tunneler frequently on Xbox. I don't do those things. But those are the same people who will report en masse. There has to be some mitigating factor.
-
Leon and Jill for survivor. Nemesis for killer.
Map? The labs under the mansion.
It's I'm wrong I'll stop messing around with gimmick builds and get back to rank 1. God help me
-
What a random post. You must be one of about a dozen people that even remember this game
-
Maybe dbd is coming off in ten days. That'd mess me up. I play it on gamepass.
-
Yes. I don't mind 360s, but trying to exploit the autoaim with this is infuriating. Wait till you see somebody who's perfected it.
-
I just scream until I find the survivor. Corn echo location

Not every killer runs infectious or something else
No, they don't. But when they do it's impactful enough to make it worth it. You're not going to get full use out of all your perks, all the time. That's not the nature of the game. You pick perks to mitigate aspects of the game you personally find annoying. I personally hate hex totems, so I run small game nearly every game. There are not hex totems in every game. That sort of thing.

Run Calm Spirit when is useful in 1/50 games
I run calm spirit over iron will. It counters infectious fright which alone makes it worth it.
You never play vs. nurses, onis, doctors or plagues? That must be nice.
-
Finding you is all he can do and even that has clear counterplay. He still has to hit you twice. If you find him particularly odious, run calm spirit. Underrated perk. Resilience and spine chill also trump his anti loop shock timing.
-
I still see it nearly every game. Got hit with it twice earlier because I wasn't thinking.

Otz and tru3's followers do seem a bit culty at times. No offence to those two, it's not like they encourage it as far as I can see
This is a side effect of the parasocial relationships streamers try to foster. They say "we" rather than "I" to try and make viewers feel included. It's important for the business model to make them feel like friends of the streamer.
There's one clip on otz's channel where this guy is donating money in order to talk to him about his racist grandma...... Just a conversation via 5$ increments. It was incredibly sad and weird.

Dbd is a casual-oriented game by conception. So it uses generous and forgiving capsule hitboxes.
Overwatch is ostensibly a competitive shooter and it uses the same capsules.

Even if he had a rocket launcher he ain't hitting #@$% with it. Storm Troopers have better accuracy than him.
Well. He does only have one eye, kinda.
-
In fairness you look like a hellaciously good survivor. Good christ. People like you haunt my nightmares.
-
Good, then they're burning a perk slot on a bad perk.
-
What's satisfying for me is a well played game where I don't have to play dirty to win. 2k-4k feels fine so long as I get fun chases, get to use my perks and abilities and don't have to be a scumlord.
-
Yeah I think the delay between shocking and being able to hit is like 1.5s.
-
How would the movement work? How do you catch and chase people who are teleporting all over the place?

So would you enjoy the main antagonist of Resident Evil 8 being a k pop star? Or adding nonhorror aspects like anime to it? I do enjoy the new coldwind. But the trickster is terrible visually
Resident evil is pulp horror sci-fi thru a prism of anime. Wesker is literally a teleporting anime antagonist.
-
A uhhhh. Resident evil theme, I guess?
-
God I hope not. She's got no history with the franchise.
-
I main doctor and clown.
Good survivors don't even try to loop against me. They just predrop pallets, break line of sight and leave the loop. Every game is checkers.
-
It sucks. It makes me feel like my eyes have vaseline on them and obsfucates details (survivors bigfooting) while I'm panning my cameras around. And it didn't used to be there. I'd like to continue playing on ultra settings but I can't tolerate this effect.

Toolboxes last from a quarter to half a gen lol. "Vast buff" is a... vast exaggeration.
Certainly depends on the toolbox, perks and item add-ons. I believe a commodious one lasts for a good while and with a 5x skill check chance, that adds up.
-
Turn up gamma instead of brightness. Lerys is one of the easier maps to find traps in for me.
-
At that pace you'll be at the appropriate rank before long.
-
Nah, he's pretty good. Shred is free zoning.
-
It is a good update. Don't forget the obsession change, which people have been asking for forever. It's nice to be listened to, even in a small way.
-
Achievements don't do anything. They're a binary value associated with your steam account. It means nothing. Why be concerned with it?
-
Wrongo. It's just queue times.
-
Don't care about the 4k. I like being nice.
-
A new new one is coming with the coldwind rework. It's really easily readable even compared to the old one.

If they got it to work, chances are you would be facing people on your own level. Does that mean there would be no "easy" games? Sure. Doe it mean you are going to constantly have to sweat and fight from behind every match? Doubtful. It all comes down to how we are defining a "sweaty" game. Me, personally, I want my matches to be hard. There is no value in the victory if the outcome wasn't in contention.
I define (although I hate the term) a "sweaty" game as one where you are clearly outmatched, are fighting from behind the entire time, and are just hoping to minimize how badly you lose. Games like that are good for you, once in a while, as they help you learn, but I agree that playing in them constantly can be a blow to one's self esteem. :)
A hard game is not necessarily a "sweaty" game. A hard game just means you and your opponents are on par with one another and you have to force mistakes out of your opponents, rather than just getting free ones. Nobody should be getting easy games, EVER. Why? Because if you are getting an easy game, it means your poor opponent(s) are the one stuck in the "sweaty" version. It means the matchmaking was bad. They should not have been in the ring with you. Does this make sense?
So, for my own part at least, I HOPE they can make MMR work. I just don't think they can.
I don't want my matches to be hard. I like being nice and I like playing suboptimally.
Unfortunately even with this attitude, the game has seen fit to assign me rank 1. Gotta play scummy to not get bullied sometimes. I do not enjoy this. Would rather not have to do it every game
-
Good. Killer is stressful enough as it is. I don't wanna play against sweat squads every single game.
-
Well. I understand that this is frustrating, but you cannot control how others play. You can only affect yourself.
My rule is that if someone saves me I'll go through hell and high water to save them back. Sacrifice myself during EGC. The unspoken camaraderie between solo survivors is a big part of what makes that half of the game fun for me. I do what I can to reinforce it.
-
It's not reliable, but pallet stunning does work.
-
Basically an auto win for the killer unless you're just unbearably awful. Equivalent of iri head.
-
I do think it is a little bright. Maybe some very very faint entity claws around the sun to show that it's just a construct?

No it's one they should take tack one of his abilitys out he can creep you from vaulting or palleting and your going to get hit ever why you go for it or not. He find you easily with his power. He stop you from unhooking. He can mack skill checks harder on Gene's. The only center is to hide in a locker when you get out l. Most of the time they have iron madion.
Little advice? Even when he static blasts, just move your position slightly and continue stealthing. He knows where you are when you scream. If you move a little from that location without leaving scratch marks it's going to be much more difficult for him to find you.
As other posters have said using shock to deny loops is not as reliable as you'd think. Latency plays a huge role in whether or not it actually works. Pre drop pallets, break line of sight and just leave. Works like a charm.
-
I think it's vastly overrated. Good survivors are just gonna finish one of the non-blocked gens while you're in the first chase of the match. Then you have three perks for the rest of the game.

If you have good eyes, you don't need scratch marks and blood on the ground to tunnel.
The quality of my eyes is in no way indicative of the like 40° FoV killers work with by default. Everybody loses survivors sometimes.
-
Unplayable as a killer without them
-
It's true, you can't be tunneled if the killer has no way to find you.
-
Nurse with agitation and starstruck. No other killer makes me feel so helpless.
-
They check my skill. I'm awful at the damn things.
