This is why cross progression should be a larger priority than it is. Let me jump to PC and leave my single digit frames and crappy controls behind, BHVR!
I've invested too much time on PS4 to start over with a completely new account.
-
Every survivor match I've played today has been all four escape. I know he's new and people aren't used to him yet... but yikes.
(Haven't tried him myself)
-
Lol, triggered over forum posts.
-
Victor doesn't slow them down. He prevents them from repairing and a few other things.
He also gives killer instinct notifications for OTHER survivors near the one carrying Victor.
-
I say leave them where they are, gameplay wise, but give a massive increase to the BP reward for pulling them off.
Since they no longer affect the outcome of the match very much, they should at least be worth the blood points it takes to get them.
-
If both sides play optimally, yes the game is survivor sided.
-
That would be terrible for many killers.
Survivors see Hag? 4 flashlights.
Survivors see Wraith, Myers, GF, or Pig? 4x Spine Chill.
Survivors see Trapper? 4x small game.
Survivors see Doc? 4x calm spirit.
Survivors see plague? Survivors unequip all healing related items and perks.
Just no.
-
I'm excited. My killer matches were much better when it was active in the past, so I'm hoping it still improves things. Honestly I just don't want to dread hitting purple ranks each month because I know most of my matches will be all red ranked survs from that point on.
-
That would be a massive boost to survivors.
-
Visually speaking, the killer is super boring. Even more boring than Legion.
Just a guy with yellow eyes and a little blood on him. Yawn.
-
He is so boring.
He's just a guy. Just a guy with yellow eyes.
At least Myers and Legion have masks. It makes them somewhat intimidating.
Legion has been dethroned as most visually boring Killer all hail the new king of boring looking Killers!
-
Because while playing on PS4, survivors disappear from my screen as the frame rate plummets when they spin. It's even worse if you happen to hit blood lust just as you're about to swing and the survivor spins at the same time.
Or if a gen goes off...
Or a hooked survivor gets sacrificed...
Or exit gates open...
Literally anything that causes a big visual effect on screen tanks frames for a second and if you happen to be right behind a survivor at that moment... ๐
-
Parent of the year.
-
Apart from Oni (which I won't get cuz I don't pay) all the cosmetics are super full.
-
Injured survivors look like they pooped their pants.
-
Every time they say they are too busy to fix or change things people actually ask for, point to these needless changes.
-
Yeah, having survivor portraits and then gen counter in 2 different places is annoying. Could have easily left that in the corner by your power. Now my eyeballs are roving all over to find simple info.
Total hook tally for killer is USELESS. Serves no purpose whatsoever.
-
Make the range 32m. Still counters stealth, (killers' powers and perks like Tinkerer or M&A) but doesn't affect regular 32m TR killers in most situations.
-
It's the same as always on PS4. I've been dealing with terrible frames for years, so nothing new.
-
Nope

So basically if i have ds no gen repairs no cleansing totems no healing or any other interactions for the whole game whatsoever?
Nope. If you aren't being chased after an unhook, go do gens. You aren't being tunneled, so it's fine.
If you are being chased after an unhook, DS will be there to help you, so it's fine.
All this change does is remove the "60 seconds of invincibility no matter what" situations.
-
Pyramid Head's cages were nerfed specifically because they ignored things like BT and DS. Having PH know exactly where they were and be able to just sit around them was camper/tunnel heaven. Now that he can't see the cages and they move if he finds them, they are less broken.
So it's not really a 1:1 comparison, since hooks are affected by BT and DS.
-
Last time around, the MMR actually gave me much better matches as killer (green ranks) so I am looking forward to it being reenabled. Hopefully they fixed the issues that were matching new players with experienced ones. I personally never experienced that.

Do you really not think a killer can just have an unfun power to face?
Nope, didn't say that.๐
It's just the bar for what is "unfun" is incredibly low. If a killer has any ability to counter the "run around a pallet and a rock 3 times then run to the next one" survivors cry "BORING". Hag has counters. She can be run for a long time if you go from structure to structure instead of hanging around one and looping it forever, but survivors don't often want to do that. Hence, "unfun".

'Survivors like to play ONE way, and if they can't, the killer is "unfun", "boring"'
Have you, or anyone else who thinks this, EVER considered the fact that the survivors are perfectly justified in calling the killer boring because the one way in which the majority of players have fun and interact with the game is not viable at all against these killers?
"Survivors can't loop da killur so they think da killur boring!!!!111" like no ######### they think they're boring, almost nobody wants to play hide and seek and hold M1 on gens all day.
So playing the exact same way against every killer is fun and engaging? Ok.
Seems more likely people are lazy and don't want to learn...
-
Yes.
-
Even without the feet stomping, his map wide shriek gives him away every time he uses a portal.
-
Cuz she can't be looped around each pallet 3 times. That's about it.
Survivors like to play ONE way, and if they can't, the killer is "unfun", "boring", or "OMG OP".
As for placing traps under a hook, I wouldn't be surprised if that gets changed so it can't be RIGHT under the hook, but that won't really matter. I like to put them on the access ways to the hook instead, anyway. Forces survivors to either crouch longer, or trigger it earlier. In order to completely eliminate her ability to trap a hook you'd have to make it so she couldn't place a trap in such a wide area it would almost remove her power from large chunks of the map.
-
As a solo survivor, I can't count the number of times what should have been a 1K for the killer turns into 3 or 4K because people run back for that one guy.
I often run kindred, so I know where the killer and other survivors are in this situation at the end game. It's maddening to watch teammates throw games that have gone almost perfectly up to that point.
-
Tuesday? Probably?
-
As long as we can still do ether 15% and flask of bleach, I'm okay. That's his best combo imo.
But seriously, why did they leave the blindness addons? Unless they're planning on updating blindness to not be 100% useless in the near future, I don't understand it.

Nurse is just a poorly-designed killer. She circumvents every mechanic everyone else has to deal with. In the right hand she is unstoppable no matter who the survivors are and what they do. (Yet the game is still survivor-sided according to people)
Yes, it takes a lot of practice, skill and dedication to get to that level but nurse is the main reason I don't accept the narrative that the game is survivor-sided.
Same could be said of playing survivor. Once people get good enough at it, they can become almost uncatchable. It just takes a lot of practice, skill, and dedication.
So if one Killer can become unstoppable in the right hands and should therefore be nerfed, than we should be nerfing survivor overall as well, right?
Basically you're asking for nerfs based around top tier players, and at top tier, survivors have the advantage. People say the game is survivor sided because if both sides play optimally, survivors are almost guaranteed to win. The killer has to rely on survivors making mistakes. Which is basically the same as going against nurse as survivor. If she doesn't make mistakes, your dead.
TLDR: If we nerf nurse based on the most dedicated, skilled players, we're gonna have to need survivors for the same reason.
-
Using the bottles for mobility sounds like it won't work very well.
Example:
1. Throw bottles to get across map faster.
2. Ok, you got to a gen a little faster and found survivors, but now you need to reload your bottles, so they get a head start while you're doing that.
You don't actually save any time.

"You've already lost" does not mean "You literally are unable to escape." Even if it's difficult, the last Survivor is entitled to one last chance to escape, but that is rendered impossible if you cannot touch the Exit Gate switch without 100% notifying the Killer of your presence.
You have a chance. Either wait till you think he's as far from the gate as possible and then disarm and try to open before he gets back or try and be clever.
Disarm trap and go to other gate. Disarm, open a little, then hide, come back and repeat.
Survivors have many chances to NOT be in this situation, so no, you're not entitled to "one more".
Like I said, if Trapper's killed 3 survivors, closed the hatch, AND trapped both gates before you can get out, he's won, fair and square. You've been outplayed. Accept your likely loss.
-
This is only really a problem if you're the last survivor left and he's already closed the hatch. At that point you've already lost, so accept the loss and move on.
-
The matchmaking is what is killing it for me. I really hope they bring back the MMR soon. My games were much better when it was active.
Now I'm rank 10 and see groups of all red constantly. I played 7 matches in the last 2 days and 5 of them were against all reds and a few purples. I don't even wait for a second to get a match. The game just throws me to red ranks immediately.
And I've never seen it the other way. Plenty of games with rank 2 survivors (8 point difference in rank) but never have I had a game as rank 10 vs a bunch of rank 18's!
I would rather wait a minute or two for a fair match than get thrown to the wolves immediately.

98% of solo do not have the 2 brain cells needed. ๐ญ
So... How is this a killer problem?
-
I have had success running mother's helpers with spirit fury and enduring.
Can be pretty funny when the pallet explodes in their face and you're already revving your chainsaw.
-
I keep remapping which button on my PS4 controller to use for struggling in order to find the one least likely to give me carpal tunnel.
I currently have it as R1. Causes the least cramping.
Pls remove struggle mashing, BHVR.

A good Hag can force a 3 gen if she wants it. She doesn't even need Corrupt Intervention. Corrupt is for Hags that want to 4k at 5 gens. She's so strong that you can 4k with her only using Monstrous Shrine.
Ofc a very coordinated team can destroy a Hag, but be fair: how many play like that? It only takes Hag a very good hook placement among a 3 gen to basically guarantee a win. If you get hooked in the basement you might as well tell your friends to never come because you'll just be exchanging hooks.
Any killer can force a 3 gen by refusing to commit to a chase. This is not specific to Hag.
-
People don't like Hag because they can't do the same braindead looping they always do and change is hard so: "OMG HAG OP!"
-
Just played a match as her yesterday and everything seems fine. No bugs, no problems.
-
Just the usual stuttering anytime anything happens: swinging, bloodlust, hens finishing, survivors being hooked...
Are you experiencing 10fps consistently? That sounds new to me.
-
Of you go down the rabbit hole of "this thing doesn't make logical sense because that doesn't work in the real world" you'll never stop.
"Why does stabbing a guy let you know where other nearby people are?"
"Why does opening a map let you see the auras of things you've been near before? Maps IRL don't do that!"
Why can I mend a deep wound by myself, but regular injuries require backrubs from somebody else to heal? That's not how medicine works!"
-
Thank you for sharing this. So brave. It's time to call out this game's real flaw: New players trying to play Killer who only manage to hook you because you were totally bored and definitely let them.
-
Don't lunge unless you need to. Regular swing has a wider arc.
It sucks, but it's what is console players have to deal with.
-
I play on base PS4 and across all killers I have bad FPS drops when swinging, getting a hit, status effects pop up, blood lust kicks in, the survivor 360s, or you use a power like teleporting.
I play around it as best I can, but some killers, like nurse, huntress, deathslinger, and blight are much harder to use because of these issues.
-
BHVR, give caveman survivor pls.
-
Hag is my favorite to play because she completely negates loops and jungle gyms.
Looping is my least favorite part of playing killer and I'm terrible at all the Killers who lack anti-looping powers.
It's way more fun to NOT run around a pallet 3 times, break it, and then do it over and over as there are so many pallets.
-
You also can't set traps anywhere within the basement on that map. Once you start going down the stairs, it's entirely a trap free zone now. FML.
-
The Killers you mentioned are the counter to all the safe, unmindgameable pallets littering the map.
