No i have nothing to know i was rank1 and i know i am rank 1 i want to be rank 1 i like dbd light but i cannot understand you accept this new system. I do not see it as win win and nice i get 250000 bloodpoints. I stay on playing dbd. But i do not take the effort to do all the hard work for nothing, To bad most do not understand what i am saying and accept it as it is.
You literally got nothing for being Rank 1 before. All your "hard work" got you nothing.
Now you do.
Your logic is flawed.

Territorial Imperative: Remove the aura reading around a hooked survivor. This basically just will increase camping. Otherwise, sure.
Monstrous Shrine: Same, remove aura reading around the basement, cuz otherwise killer will just camp if he sees somebody within 24m. That is why BBQ only shows auras OUTSIDE 40m. Like the other effects though.
Beast of Prey and Predator: Sounds pretty good if you removed blood lust from the game, otherwise BoP might be too powerful.
Furtive Chase: Seems a little complicated. Also max 4 tokens means your TR is 12m smaller, not gone completely.
Cruel Limits/claustrophobia: sounds good.
Gearhead: Probably too good. I like that you remove the basic attack requirement. However, I would require the survivor to make 1 skill check for the gen to light up, Otherwise it'll just show you where to go every single time you down somebody. It's like an insane BBQ. Paired with knockout, killers would just be slugging all over.
-
I was really hoping for a rework of the trap range add ons. Those are pretty useless.
-
Oni only sucks on console due to the frame drops making his smash hard to hit.
-
I don't think this is how boon totems are going to work.
They said that survivors would interact with dull totems to activate them. So, it's more likely to have a temporary effect related to cleansing, or an AOE around the totem.
I know these were made just for fun, but they would be insane.
- The killer is already the one strapped for time, and now they would have to worry about infinite toolboxes or medkits unless they waste time looking for a totem? Think of it this way as survivor: You bring a brown medkit that can heal one person. Every time you use it, it gets refilled. Slap a couple speed add ons and you have infinite self care + fast heals for other survs. Killer wants to stop this? They have to search the map. Losing several gens and all pressure.
- Completely cancels out ruin, pop, surge, oppression, eruption. Again, if the killer wants to be able to use any of these perks they brought, they'll have to lose 3 gens looking for this totem.
- It takes 20 seconds to open an exit gate. In order to cancel this perk, killers would have to find the totem in 20 seconds (plus a few more for survs to run to a gate) otherwise, everybody gets a free hit. This is pretty much a guaranteed escape. Imagine the body blocking if every surv had a third health state after gens were done.
-
Not enough killers (due to killer being unfun and stressful to play) means all the red and purple survivors bully the green killers after waiting 5-10 minutes in queue.
Then the green killers quit, and the survs bully the yellows, and so on. It's not hard to figure out why I get a killer match in 5 seconds flat, but wait a long time for survivor.
-
Sony probably doesn't want it because if people could leave they lose out on that PS Plus subscription money. If it was just money from buying the game, they might not care so much.
-
Regular PS4, HDD.
Constant freezes and lag.
-
Maybe if the make a "Plague Tale" chapter...
-
Yeah, I play on PS4 and don't see any advantages to all the freezing and stuttering.
When a PC survivor dead hards while I'm chasing them, my screen freezes and they move forward just fine.
When I use dead hard, I get rubber banded and don't actually move.

If they prefer lower end, they are likely fools. That's like saying "I prefer to get punched", its dumb. Why would anyone do that? I somewhat get for money reasons if they ' don't know what they are doing, but not preferring to have a worse experience.
Cool, if people like shooting themselves in the foot, then that is they're thing, just don't get mad when you have issues in games, be it because the devs or just because the hardware is that bad.
I feel bad for anyone who bought a ps5 for 700+. That's a prebuilt, med to high pc they could of got. Then I remember they are the one who choose to do that, then defend they're choice regardless of how bad it was and I stop feeling bad.
Also you can use TV's with PCs. I have done it before, people prefer monitors because its better for competitive games, IE less screen drag, input lag, ect.
Hey, since you're a PC godling who's unaffected by these issues, maybe just don't comment on these threads if all you're gonna do is just call us fools and tell us to upgrade.
Useless.

Getting huge freezes again on PS4. Anytime someone uses DH, drops a pallet, or I get a hit while playing as killer the game freezes for the duration of the action.
Happened as oni and demo so far.
I have video.
I thought this ######### was supposed to be fixed!
-
Every test they've run so far has been a positive experience for me. Way better than the rank based matchmaking.

I personally find Spine Chill as a waste of a perk slot when playing as survivor. There are better and more effective perks to choose. Same with Dead Hard and Decisive Strike. They don't stop the killer from getting you They just delay it.
After the Wraith buff, Spine Chill has become almost mandatory imo. I see so many wraiths now, and that extra few seconds to start running is usually the difference between making it to a pallet to avoid a hit or not.

This is just my assumption but any High Rank or High Skilled player will never want MMR here in DBD as me and my friends who joins competitive DBD tournaments knows best that High Skill Trials are either gonna be Spirit/Nurse/Blight (Ruin+Undying+Corrupt+BBQ&Chili) vs 4 Man Seal Team Friends (Equipped with the best items with Add Ons).
My Survivor Friends(also joins competitively) don't want to play against Spirit, Nurse and Blight every game in the future while my Killer friends will agree that to stay on high rank you'll need to play these 3 Killers.
I'm noticing that most people that wants the MMR are people that complains about how bad their teammates are or How they want to to know a Killer without getting bullied. My assumption is anyone who wants MMR just wants the game to be carried for them. Maybe as a Survivor before complaining how your teammates are bad, maybe look at how you play first?
I 100% guarantee here that no high skill player want an MMR system here.
Isn't it the "high skilled" players who wants to be carried if we believe your argument?
Going by your argument, top-tier players such as yourself don't want to go against other top tier players and builds every game.
So lower skilled players and those not running meta build should be forced to get stomped and give you an easy match every so often?
"I don't want to face Spirit/Nurse/Blight or 4 man SEAL teams every match" isn't an argument against skill based matchmaking isn't an argument against skill based matchmaking. It's an argument against the balance of those killers/SWF/Meta builds.
-
It's 4 v 1. That's why. These perks won't necessarily save you or make the killer lose the chase, but they take more of the killer's time.
And time is life for killers.
-
Hag no chase.
Survivors no like.
-
Hag cares nothing for your windows and houses!
-
We've got starstruck and mad grit for this.
If you encounter it a lot, run one of these and your troubles will be over.
-
The beam add on coupled with range increase add on can be okay, but only if paired with something like Tinkerer that lets you know survivors are on a gen and lets you get close without alerting them. Even then, while you can get a few sneaky zaps that way, as you mentioned, it make survivors much harder to hit in every other situation.
I can't think of any reason to run the ring one.
It's usually not worth it to run either of these.
-
So since DH being broken worked against you once, no one else should complain about how it being broken worked against them?
How about instead, BHVR fixes their game so it works for everybody, all the time?
-
He was so OP that you guys still won.
Apparently getting grabbed once makes the killer OP.
Wait till you hear about Tinkerer.
-
Reduce the range to 32m. That's it. That way it activates at normal TR range.
This gives stealth killers 1 extra second to close distance, or let's them stalk from a little further away without survivors knowing.
Also this way, it still serves as a counter to things like Tinker, M&A, or Trail of Torment, but doesn't punish regular TR killers.

My build is Enduring and Spirit Fury, forgot to mention it every Spirit Fury Trigger = Chainsaw Down.
Edit: Also I don't even care if they drop pallets, They'll run out eventually.
I use this build on Billy too. I also use the add-ons that increase chainsaw charge speed after a pallet stun and the one that lets him go through pallets. That way, it doesn't matter when they drop the pallet.
If they drop the pallet early, I go through and get a hit. Also counts towards spirit fury.
If they drop the pallet on my head, it usually breaks and then I get a fast charge chainsaw while they try to run to the next pallet!
-
Can't get teleport hits due to lag.
Can't dead hard due to lag.
Such fun times here at DBD.
But don't worry, it's only 2 more weeks of an unplayable game!
(assuming their *fix* doesn't just mess things up more)
-
Yeah, no. We're not likely to get a REAL fix ever. Maybe get it back to pre RE levels of suck, but never fixed.
-
Everything is broken, behavior sucks.
Trash devs.
-
Thank you for sharing.
So brave.
-
Game freezes for a bit every time you bring up your knives to throw as Ttickster. Makes a bad killer even worse.

No one is saying quit. Just take a break and comeback later.

I didnt assume anything, you have.
You know what they say about assumptions, they make ass out of you.
Well, you did say "when" it's working again, not "if".

Are you guys on XB1 & PS4 experiencing these problems?
Ps4. Terrible lag and freezing.

I feel like the way you said what you did was just worded poorly. And has just lit a fire on their butt. I get what you mean though.
If you feel the game is that bad why not just take a break and come back when its working again? Surely DBD is not the only game we all play
Bold of you to assume the game will ever be in a working state again.
Devs have no idea what they're doing.
-
No mention of fixing console performance in the dev update.
BHVR continues to not give a crap about the console players.
-
I've completely given up playing killer seriously due to the poor performance. Farming only till they fix the game.

@Orion said:
I just gotta ask: if the game is unplayable on console, why do you keep trying to play it? I've had one game that didn't work on my PC, through no fault of my PC. I just uninstalled it and called it a day.
Well, the game wasn't this horribly optimized before the RE chapter. It was bad, but not THIS bad.
So, having played for 3 years, and have bought dlc, ,I should just say "Welp, guess I'll uninstall!"?
I want to play the game. It's on the devs to make sure their game runs on every platform they release it on.
-
I find it can sometimes be tough to get to a hook down there.
Sometimes one might be close, but the path to get to it is too long due to breakable walls or something.
-
Given that console optimization was promised almost 3 years ago and is still nowhere to be seen, I wouldn't hold your breath.
-
This isn't going to be fixed before the event is over.
This isn't going to be fixed before the next event.
This will not be fixed before the PS6 comes out.
The devs have no intention of fixing this.
Now go buy more skins.
-
This is barely an event. There are balloons and you can pick up a crown that you'll never actually want to wear. (Especially as survivor, it's basically a giant HERE I AM sign)
Maybe you'll get bonus BP from cakes?
The only real worthwhile thing is to login every day to get your free BP and shards.
Everything else is just last year's stuff all over again. Remember when they said they were going to make the anniversary event "bigger"?
Also, as a console player, just playing is pain.
FUN.
-
It's widely known that the devs borked the game, are failing at unborking it, will probably eventually declare that the borking will be fixed in a few months, and then will deny that anything has ever been borked and we should all just be happy with 200K BP.
-
The instant cross progression is activated, I'd be on PC, downloading the game on steam. However, since it seems unlikely to ever happen, I'll be stuck on PS4. I'm not going to switch and lose 3+ years of progress, and I'm not getting a new console, as I don't see the value in them vs PC anymore. (exclusives were about it, but now most games are multi-platform)
-
The silent hill chapter went okay, but they did mess up the 4th anniversary event (cakes didn't stack, sound familiar? Bugs are now features!!)
Completely broken updates were the exception a year ago. Most were fine. Now it's a miracle that the game even starts after they change anything.
-
How do BHVR's boots taste, OP?
-
Feels just as bad. Nothing important was fixed.
-
Playing on PS4, issues seem to be just as bad as before. This patch did nothing to help.
Tier up as Michael? Big FPS drops. Didn't notice those before.
-
You really don't. The randomized spread of his shots makes it pretty much impossible.
-
Dislike.
Just go. Don't waste my time.
Even if survivors don't bm, it still comes off as "Look at me! I beat you, and must make you witness my triumph! "

This kind of reply is not helpful in the least.
People constantly complaining about MMR when it's not on instead of actually looking to see if MMR is enabled isn't helpful either.
If anything, it's detrimental, as some other uniformed person is liable to come to the forums after a match with bad matchmaking, read the title of your post, and assume: "Oh, mmr is on, and mmr is bad". This will just propagate the misinformation, causing more people to assume mmr is bad, leading to more anti-mmr posts, and making it more likely we won't ever get actual mmr, and will be stuck with the terrible, broken emblem system.
Bad matchmaking is due to many things:
- Rank doesn't always equal skill. Due to rank reset, and the ease of leveling up for survivors, you can have gods playing at rank 13 and potatoes at rank 3.
- Number of players playing each role at a given time. I'm on the NA server. During the middle of the day, my survivor queue times are short and at night they are long. Killer is instant at night and medium during the day. This is all due to what people are playing. More people play at night, and more people play survivor then (in order to play with friends), so killer queue is short. With all these extra survivors, the game has trouble matching people up according to skill, as it is just trying to get people into matches as fast as possible. This is probably the main reason you are seeing ranks much lower than yours.
- It's just bad. The matchmaking has always been bad. It will likely continue to be bad under the current system, which is why we need MMR. It won't be perfect, but my experiences during all the tests they've run so far have been much better than with the normal system.
-
Post #6937018 about MMR being active when MMR is not active.
-
Dropping the pallet early is about all you need to know.
Otherwise, he's like any other m1 killer.
