  • i think its high time to rework hag. Id rework her into a more cannibalistic playstyle where she gains bonuses the more she injures survivors (like the entity saying hey good job hurting them heres a bonus) bc trapping/area denial killers just dont work in modern dbd

  • Yup it could be like a stealth demo with some form of laser to give buffs or something

  • The Indoraptor from jurassic world fallen kingdom

I know there is already a system setup in place for people who proxy or face camp by allowing the survivor to jump off the hook, but as I have seen many killers do not care if they face camp allowing the survivor to get iff if they sit there to long. So I feel the killer should get some bloodpoints removed from any one of their categories randomly ensuring they dont camp.

Example : Deathslinger face camps a dwight for more than 15 seconds -500 bloodpoints from chase time.

what if it happens in endgame/EGC and what if the killer is chasing someone near the hooked survivor?

For the last two survivors, the second-to-last survivor should be given the option to revive themselves (a system they originally planned). Because the endless 2v1 at the end of matches is awful.

but that should come with a caviat otherwise the killer is in a lose-lose scenario

  • i mean a killer (that doesnt have mobility) needs to tunnel if they didnt get any gen regression perks otherwise gen speeds just arent doable

Yes, that's how i consider it. I do have a couple of pvc statues that my dad gifted me, and don't get me wrong they look nice but you can feel the difference. For someone who doesn't collect statues though perhaps it won't bother them. But i have seen people say they feel the Huntress/Sable statue is why the set is so expensive and I would disagree on that.

that was my assumption aswel. as ive seen statues be quite… expensive to say the least

Didn't say bad, just that I avoid them. It's a type of plastic and very lightweight. I prefer to spend the bit extra on better quality for my collection.

so its more brittle or lower quality then other materials?

  • @Nazzzak said:

I got it too. I don't generally buy DBD merch, I think i just own a hoody and the youtooz figures, which isn't a lot for a game I've been playing for 5 years. I bought it for the flashlight though. I collect statues but this one is PVC, which i tend to avoid. So I'm a bit so-so on this one.

    Why is pvc "bad"?

  • hmmm i wonder why?
    maybe its bc of:
    #1 super oppresive counterplay
    #2 mediocre anti loop
    #3 bad camera placement
#4 map mobility thats still rng
    #5 meh addons

  • im gonna buy it with my next salary

  • @Junylar said:

If you buff 2v8 killers even more, the queue will grow so long you will have to make an appointment to play killer in advance of 5 business days.

then what do you imply? making all 2v8 killers useless resulting in everyone playing survivor and no one playing killer?

  • @BlackRabies said:

They really need to change something for gen regression so don't feel forced to use 1 or 2 gen regression/stall perks.

Survivors on the other hand getting more gen speed perks so with the right set up and to boxes just 2 survivors can complete a gen from zero within 20-30 seconds. That shouldn't even be allowed killers can't even end a chase and never notice any progress on that gen before it suddenly pops.

And they complain why so many killers are tunneling. 🙄

love losing 1-3 gens because i didnt bring on hook regression as a 110% killer

  • @Eleven011 said:

What if eleven had a telekinetic push it does a little push to a killer 2 feet away and her nose bleed and there's a 2 minute cooldown I feel like this would be great for eleven also

But it's not really telekinesis it's just a telekentic push that moves the killer 0.6 meters away and it dosent stun them they could keep moving after you push them and there's a 2 minute cooldown

I get that the developers doesn't want an op survivor Perk but this is appealing to the community but my other idea with telekinetic pallet drop more people agreed with that then telekinetic push

yes but it being a perk would mean any survivor could use it. wich would be super weird

  • @Junylar said:

Hitting his ability is easier than landing Nurse hits against dodging survivors. He also has better map traversal than Nurse. If Nurse is OP in your opinion, then this is double OP. If the player knows how to click on survivors, every game for them will be just a shooting range with a beer can in one hand

so i guess we just forget that henry has to hit you twice with his ability (or once with undergate) both of wich are very much telegraphed and counterable. meanwhile nurse gets to TELEPORT to you. has a second blink to fix her mistake and is lethal from the get go?

  • im hoping for ANY news regarding TCoFS/Frank stone entering dbd

But you still haven't explained the reason for your irritation with the tbagging Sable, tell me, what's wrong with that? What if Sable does challenges/archives after opening the gate or do totem/sabos hooks for points? Didn't you think about that or are you only interested in the killers fun?

let me put it this way why should i care if the sable has challanges etc? or how would i even know? there is no visual way to know what people have brought in terms of challenges or sorts. The only "Visible" challange are glyphs wich i respect and let them do

It's funny to read the comments about tbags, like teenagers, honestly, who get offended by all sorts of nonsense. If you're so scared to look at them, either look at the wall or watch youtube or better grow up.

so instead of fixing an issue ungoing with the community we should just attack those people… got it… no wonder new players dont stick around

  • @Amanova said:

Basekit auto BNP in such cases is a must, it should remove -20 charges each time survivor dies at early game when 2-5 gens left so survivors have some hope and killers will be afraid to tunnel as for slugging they should've release one that was from last ptb because I see a lot of slugging lately too

And if 3 or less survivors left killers endgame perks should be weaker too since they tend to camp/tunnel from the start to destroys rest survivors easily at endgame

2-5 gens is mid to late game 4-5 is early game

And what else is the killer supposed to do in endgame besides slugging and camping? Waddle around the map to find the tbagging sable at the exit gate?

  • #1 im SUPER happy that frank stone wont be a trapper skin

    #2 mass bp spending

    #3 custom scratch marks

#4 the trial and error from the devs. They want to try but they should do multiple ptbs for such things in a shorter time span

  • @BongoBoys said:

I do think we should be Nerfing ridiculously high mobility killers like Blight and Ghoul and take a break from making high mobility and Dash slop killers for the year

Incorrect. Darkness revealed has a 30 second cooldown. I am all ears has a 45 second cooldown. Nurses requires you to be in X amount of meters of a INJURED survivor. Its not all the time. No where to hide can be countered with a locker or moving out of range. Once you know they have it once any hits after that are completely on you.

ontop of that nowhere to hide removes a point from the regression limit

  • Its high time for dbds gameplay to alter to the killer being played. Examples

Pig smaller map less "strong" tiles maybe either a strong main or shack not both

But ghoul would have a bigger map with more resources for the survivors

  • If we are talking gameplay.

Better tutorial or ways to learn killers/dlc killers (powers etc)

But for content i only "want" one thing

Full blown The Casting of Frank Stone chapter (killer, survivor(s) and a map)

Idk if we consider he could before spawn guard on loop instantly and get that pincer hit on survivor which was quite strong than yes, now he is mostly just harassing survivors with his guards but I would say he is worse against experienced survivors due to few things first is now if you are like 12 meters near your guard who is chasing someone that guard will dissapear 3x faster so using any guard who isnt jailer is near impossible and last thing is if survivor knows how guards work in loops (when you drop pallet they go around it or when you run to window they chase tovards it even the fact survivor didnt vault it and thats making their way longer towards that survivor) than getting hits with guards without using pincer tactic (guard is chasing survivor and you push from other direction to close him into situation where he will get hit no matter what) is nearly impossible and its just time waste for that one survivor, assasin has chance to get hit whe you use him for longer distance spawn (I think the longer the way you travel with guard orb which you spoawn them from the faster the animation guard spawns and gets into chase by some small numbers but Idk they changed him a lot since I read his stats on wiki) on survivors that are doing something and doesnt move so when they move the assasin is already in the chase so the distance between them is small but still very good looper will trick the ai and use techs to slow the assasin like I mention above.

Survivors can get rid of guard by just touching hooked survivor no need to unhook just touch them and it gets rid of the guard chasing them or the banner which now spawns quite fast so its easy to get and last they can use your presence if you as knight dont chase them to run close to you when you chase someone else and use that 3x faster depleate on guard chase to get rid of it so knight is good against casuals or survivors that dont know how to loop guards but if you meet team that knows how to counter them he becomes just like hag.

wich is why im 100% for a full blown revert to pre rework knight. Was the pincer annoying to go against? yes. were there ways to counter it also yes. were they boring to do? triple yes

  • @PetTheDoggo said:

Would be nice snowball perks for chase oriented killers. Probably good idea to lock it after 4 unique hooks.

I think cages would be actually too strong, because it prevents any saves. Just pick and send them to random hook would be good enough imo, maybe put it under some button, so it's an option for the killer like anniversary, not something that happens always.

And if it was automated it should focus scourge hooks for obvious reasons

Nope, there's still a lot of gen regression perks that are viable, they are just less viable than Pain Res+Grim.

Gen progression perks in general barely impact the game. It's RARE that you lose a gen that you wouldnt already have lost. If you want to be pedantic, we should do something against Commodius Toolboxes and their event versions. Which, yes, we should. You can run 16 gen progression perks, and you still wouldnt match up against the impact Commodius with Wire spool.

And to combat 16 gen progression perks in terms of impact, you kinda just need Surge. With the exception of Hyperfocus+Stake Out, but that's only strong if you're against a killer with a MASSIVE terror radius, otherwise it requires you following the killer for 60 seconds to reduce your generator time from 90 seconds to 25 seconds with BNP and a Commodius(oh, look, there it is again).

    So, that's 60 seconds+20 seconds making it 75 seconds.
You know what also gets you 75 seconds? Just using Commodius+BNP.

Seriously, gen progression perks are barely worth talking about. Gen times are barely worth talking about(except for Commodius). Most of the times gens go "too fast" is due to either insane survivor coordination(in which case, you would have lost anyway) or because the killer is lacking the ability to down survivors fast enough(also in which case, you should have lost, and no perks should buy you enough time to win there because that skews winrates, making the killer seem ok when in reality the killer is just too weak).
Both are not a problem with gen progression perks.

in general i think the game should be less reliant or "decided" by gen progression/regression perks and or addons/items(with addons). for example a ghoul can handle a match against a meta squad just fine. a pig cannot. (maps play into this aswel but thats another thing). i think its high time for killers to gain something to work towards outside of kills. (and escapes) for survivoes.
something that rewards you for "taking your time" so to speak. Like the more rescues you do as a survivor the more "aware" you get of your seroundings (crows would be less active killers would be easier to spot (directional terror radius as an example) and for killer you could get something like a shorter m1 cooldown or a sort of 'shrine" where if you get x amount of hooks before a kill you could get a permanent buff (unless the survivors interact with that shrine to counteract it)

  • then we should also do something about hyperfocus+stakeout and other gen progression perks tbh

nope eruption by itself counts as 2 (the kick and the explosion) but you are correct that gen perks just eat through the limit

funny how were being downvoted for having an opinion….
forums should be recoded (or altered as i know its hosted by a third party) to make it so you can only downvote if you comment on their initial comment so there is an actual discussion instead of: i dont like your opinion >:( to the void you go

  • @random1543 said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4038324#Comment_4038324

But even then you are getting a good amount of regression Eruption and pop are 30 % surge adding a further 8% too that as well as the aura off eruption for 3 regression events (4 if you kick for eruption before you get pop and kick it again for pop)

that's a good chunk of regression and you can do it 2 times plus 2 kicks to spare (1 to spare if you kick for eruption before pop) on every gen so I feel like either the survivors would be already loosing or the survivors outplayed if a gen is being blocked from being kicked.

    imo they should change it:
now the kick limit is only "decreasing" when actually KICKING it not any regression even that happens after. (exceptions could be made for pain res)

  • @random1543 said:

I agree with previous comment 3 gen strategies especially with the second option because you can no longer gen tap to stop regression (which I think is good but not without a limit otherwise its abusable)

I don't understand how a gen could be kicked so much tho unless

    - the survivors where already loosing (ie the gen is just getting regressed over and over no progress is being made)

    - the killer is trying to force certain gens not to be done and survivors are just baiting the gen (killer chases two people off gen, kicks, chases survivor 1 away, survivor 2 comes back to stop regression, killer leaves chase with survivor 1 unpressured to kick and chase survivor 2 off gen then survivor 1 runs back and stops it regressing again)

I'm genuinely curious tho when the gens being blocked have come up in your games because I just feel like its hard to get to that limit of 8.

depends on the perks but if you have perks like pop+ eruption thats like 2 regress events (bc the eruption hit thingy counts as one) and add surge ontop thatl be 3 down the drain

    1. Top 3 killers: Pig/Ghoul/knight
    2. Top 3 survivors: Nic cage/Vee/Kate
    3. Favorite perk: Nowhere to hide (simple yet effective)
    4. Fav map: Coaltower (one of the most balanced maps imo)
    5. Least favorite map: Gideon (love breaking pallets)
    6. Fav mori: Knight. (the boys)
    7. Licensed chapter you want to see: Either jurassic world fallen kingdoms Indoraptor OR Art the clown
    8. OG chapter you want to see: The Casting of Frank Stone (full blown with killer, survivor(s) and maybe even a map)
    9. Killer you don't like: Huntress (idk why but my brain just cannot play against her)
    10. Fav event: anniversary event. (bc of the match wide bp offering)
  • If they were to add more avatars i would LOVE for them to add ones for the casting of frank stone

If you go for tunneling one person out you won´t benefit much out of these perks at all and would be better off with other perks.

yeah idk why people are downvoting people's opinion and civil discussions… id rather have a discussion where both parties can learn and actually find a fix for problems and ultimatly (hopefully) "assist" the devs in creating a better gaming experience (even with how flawed this year was but thats besides the point). I understand where you come from and I understand your points.

I just want to attack the huge snowball potential such perks can have when someone early is tunneld out.

We can agree that the game becomes a lot harder when you are 3v1 in an early stage of the game and there should be no reason that gen regression or even blocking gens which is thought to be as a reward for going for different survivors should be the strongest when you target one survivor out.

    I magine following Situation:

You are pulling through. You are at a close match one gen left but only you and 1 Survivor is standing Gen at 80%. Your mate gets downed for the first time in this round cause the Killer ignored him whole game. Total hook counter 7 hooks right now. Your mate gets hooked, the gen explodes in your face and gets blocked for 40 seconds. This is just overkill.

i agree with that but its just as bad the other way around haha. Thing is dbd has too many factors to make such drastic changes im afraid (not that it cant be tested in a ptb). as we have 16 perks for survivors, 4 for killer, addons, items, maps, map generation, killer powers and last but not least bugs…

I also agree that we need change dbd has been stuck in the same gameplay loop for too long. blight and nurse reign supreme while pig and knight just become useless when youre out of gambling matchmaking time. (after abt 2 4ks for example)

  • @Leon_van_Straken said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4035184#Comment_4035184

I think what I want to say is the following.

If you go for token perks which where introduced to spread hooks you should go in this trade.

If you go for different hooks you get a stronger benefit, because you go out of you way to tunnel.

But if you go for the tunnel you should not benefit anymore from a perk which is designed to counter tunneling.#

I hope this makes sense for you.

i agree up to a certain gen point like if 3 gens remaing then the killer has to tunnel or heavily make use of gen regression otherwise its a lost battle thanks to multiple things (map size and what not).

I agree on that we should reward spreading hooks because as of current there is no real reason to go after the uninjured survivor vs the injured survivor who already has 1 hookstate in.

I also think that if this were to join the match that if the killer has less then lets say 3-4 hookstates (so about 2 on death hook) and there are 3-2 gens remaining that gen progression perks and maybe even exhaustion perks would be disabled.

  • @Robtobs said:

I wanted to bring up something that feels really frustrating in Dead by Daylight. When you revive a teammate from the dying state, the person getting picked up has zero Invincibility Frames, so the killer can instantly down them again. It makes the whole revive feel pointless and kind of punishes you for trying to help your team.

It would be great if the revived player got even a short window of protection so they actually have a chance to move. I think it would make revives feel way more fair and rewarding.

so what your saying is that if the survivors screw up by healing/reviving at the wrong time or place then the killer should be punished for taking advantage?

  • so wil gen progression perks also be disabled if the killer has a certain amount of hook states? or exhaustion perks vs m1 killers (since vigil sprintburst is uncounterable to killers without mobility)

  • @Shaddoll_Serpent said:

Yes, for the buggy mess and ridiculously unbalanced everything, I'd say it should be free with only the DLC stuff as the income.

buggy mess is just old netcode wich is expected from a game from 2016 where the devs didnt event expect it to survive a year… and the unbalanced everything is just game-dev issues wich plagues abt every game that has pvp elements (war thunder as an example). Oh and if it was free then we would have EVEN MORE cheaters…
