look at the first sentence of this post. i'm saying if ruin undying is somehow badly designed and braindead then think about how braindead decisive strike with unbreakable, lockers, and deliverance is.
Maybe it is broken as well who knows but that's not the point of this post. Stop trying to divert the conversation.

He doesn't assume something is bad but he assumes alto of things survivors have are broken and op. Like how he assumes ppl are in a swf whenether they don't go down in 2 seconds.

It's not but that's not the point of this post.

Eventually soon enough you'll reach a poitn if you play her enough where you've got the muscle memory and the blinks and all the mechanical stuff down pat. That's the level where you can beat most teams with realtive consistensy. The hard part is then learning how to blink based on a survivor's skill level, pathing and mixing it up depending on each survivor.
Best advice i can give is just keep playing. You might play her a bit differently to others but it doesn't matter if you reach your goal in the end.
I honestly can't remember leaning nurse now it was so long ago way before her nerf but once i became good at her i've never really had too much trouble picking her up again whenether i feel like playing her. Like riding a bike.

I agree. Survivors constantly getting their hats off on the first box? A chase power than only works if the survivors let it? A stealth power that hurts more than it helps thanks to it's insanely low speed? So unfair for the killer.
Yea this post is just a tunneling issue idk why it's gotta be blamed on poor piggy.

how many killer perks do you have unlocked? I'm looking at probably a million BP at least to find it.
Well i have all perks on most killers and the ones who i didnt i already went for discordance three. The devs had said it was going to be changed so there was no point sitting on discordance 1.
Also if ur needing to spend 1 mil to find it do you just have barely any perks on ur killers?
-
Ehhh depends from person to person. I know some killers who have over 5k hours and I woudl still say they are bad at the game, yet i've seen really good killer players with only 100 hours or so.
Personally it didn't take me too long becuase I was able to grasp the concepts of the game pretty quickly. I reccomend starting out with a main or a character who you play consistently so you can get very good at one playstyle first and then apply these skills to other killer.
-
Well that was a you problem if you didn't already have discordance 3, and the devs have said that they would change it a long time ago. Also srsly you hardly need any bp to get 2 levels of a perk is this really what ur complaining about.

Also, it would be nice if plague was not 77 feet tall. If you don't have corrupt purge she is horrible in chases because is like the jolly green giant out there lumbering around.
True but the fact that she doesn't make any loud noises or footsteps like demo or oni and can track people incredibly easy with an insta down makes up for it.
-
3000 shards doesnt take that long to save up, i would argue u can get more cosmetics from that than the 60 serums u got last time.
-
Oni anyday. His perks also aren't the worst espeically for newer players.

Also that quote explains so much.
Likewise for Noed.
-
For survivor i gotta say resilience. Idk something just feels good about running that perk and having faster action speeds. Also encourages me to stay injured and play better in chases.
For killer definitely brutal strenght. I use that perk on 70% of killers cause it just feels so good. I even use it on huntress and blight.

I wouldnt say this one has been the worst tho. Last year's was way worse.

but Corrupt Plague sucks to play against now as a casual survivor. I really don't want to see it empowered in a way that affects casuals more than the crazy survivors.
Yea and if they make it too much stronger you'll literalyl have a 115% huntress on steroids who doesn't take any aiming or precision.
-
Idk how i feel about this. On one side i really hate having to break walls every game and i think that breaking them should be more of a choice thing like it is on midwhich but on the other hand i feel as though this is what was initially intended for the infinites and I think people would be thinking alot differently about this if the walls had come in first and not the open doorways for a few months beforehand.

When was Clown ever considered "best of his day"? I like Clown well enough but I can't remember any consensus that he was "the best killer".
Not the best but i remember watching tier lists of those days which put him huntress level and ppl said he was a better huntress.
-
@dugman said:
Based on the forum consensus and the rough stats the devs showed last week it wouldn’t surprise me if Plague is coming up soon after Clown for a minor buff. (Followed maybe by Demogorgon.)
I find it crazy how clown and plague used to be considered some of the best in their day, now they are considered some of the worst. The power creep is definitely hitting hard.
-
Big delete button for deathsligner and spirit.
-
Killer, much more enjoyable epxerience these days especially if you are good.
Having fun in a survivor game is dependent on so many factors and I would rather not play 3 bad games for 1 good one.

because it's thematically a defensive perk and is primarily used and abused offensively to give survivors 60 seconds of free time to do gens or unhook other players or heal. This combined over a team of 4 grants survivors a full 4 minutes of uninterruptible gameplay if paired with unbreakable, enough for 1 survivor to do 3 gens by themselves.
If DS gets nerfed but ruin undying stays then there’s a serious problem.

Nope. The generator was on the far side of the room and Bill was only on the far side of the pallet.
That might be a case of the free iron will bug which I mentioned is probably one of the only sound bugs atm.

While it's true that you just kind of learn what you can and can't bounce off of, there are certain nearly identical models where some will have collision and others won't. Many trees don't have collision, good luck guessing which. The same is true for rocks, playing in Ormond, most of those rocks don't have collision, try to guess which ones do. Playing in Father's chapel, good luck trying to get through the doors that have the wooden boards sticking out of them, apparently they have collision. And let's not forget about all the times that the game doesn't let you use your ability at all because it thinks you're too close to another object. On stairs? Guess what you can't use your ability, in a door way? many times you can't use your ability.
Don't get me wrong, I love Blight and I play him almost exclusively, but he can be verrry frustrating to play.
Fair look I think it could be improved but it’s no where near unplayable or anything like that which ppl try and claim it to be.

Couldn't disagree more. At one point last night I was chasing a Bill who was injured around one of the classroom pallets on Midwich. He had no iron will and I had stridor in any case and I couldn't hear him at all over the nearby generator and the chase music.
Were you standing right in front of the generator? Cause that would explain a lot.
the sounds may not be perfect but they are far better than they used to be, and ppl won’t admit it.
-
The new player grind may not be the best, but it’s definitely better than many other games out there.

So you think Blight colliding into thin air and sliding from obvious walls is intentional? McLean even said on his stream that he plans on working on Blight's collision a lot more.
The same way, Nurse's inability to blink on some Midwich's corridors or in the House of Pain is NOT intentional.
I’m talking about why he slides off of certain objects not the rare instances he gets caught on invisible things. If you looked at it that way every killer has bugs like this which need fixing.
-

Yeah, just like Nurse, he needs a LOT of bug fixing.
Hate to break it to you sorry but this isn’t rlly a bug and I can undsrstsnd why they did it. They’ve basically aligned his collision with that of Billy’s, I’ve tested it out in numerous kyf’s. You just gotta learn what you can and can’t bounce off of, like what you can and can’t blink through as nurse,

Accepting minimal effort just let’s the devs get away with stuff like this
sorry that some of us aren’t content with being given garbage charms instead of actual event rewards like before
It's not accepting. If no-one buys their products because they are not a fan of the system, then they will go oh it seems this event idea wasn't popular. You also gotta remember its not as if the devs consistently do this stuff. So far it's a once off. If it gets worse then yes sure go ahead and complain but you gotta remember nothigns been easy this year, and I feel like ppl should honestly just give the devs a break from the constant harrasment.

Perhaps on your PS4 they are super duper clear....... 99.997% of the rest of us are still having the same sound problems that have been here for 2 years.
I’ll never understand the people who reply to things “my xxxx works just fine”, totally ignoring the 500 other posts stating it doesn’t work right. If yours works...,,, GREAT. High five.
A) I'm on pc dude. 3000 hours. Only problems i've ever had are on Ormond (which is much better now) and with survivors sometimes getting free iron will
B) What sound issues r u even having?
-
@OBX said:
The footstep, moaning sounds are still broken. Grabs are broken. Scratch marks are hard to see on the new maps. The chase music is louder. Console still gets ignored by devs.
anyway, there are a lot of things that work against killer atm. (I’m not saying there are issues on survivor)
You know footsteps and survivor sounds are way louder now right? As well as the newdust animation which leaves a trail if you can't follow scratch marks up close.
Sounds have hoenstly never been better.

@OldHunterLight said:
I'm just here like, man seriously people have that many issues while playing killer? I must be one in a million.
Killer currently is the easiest it has been, boosted survivors left and right but I guess there are also a lot of boosted killers considering "killer is trash now"
Dude finally someone who speaks my langauge, literally game has never been easier for killer and harder for survivors. I hardly ever see genuinely good killers now at red ranks, either a bunch of people who run the sweatiest builds or are carried by some killer or build or something.
I feel like many killers these days do not remember what it used to be like or weren't from that time, thus they have greater expectations.
-
Sorry I don’t like how ruin undying tinkerer is in the game, I don’t like deathslinger or spirit or Freddy, I don’t like that killers are getting buffs muah muah too unfair. Guess I’ll just bring in keys and haddofnield offerings every game :p

They r all pretty balanced now i gotta say. Yea some might be slightly better for one side but for the most part pretty even.

You get punished less for missing ranged attacks and your power regenerates fast enough for you to constantly spam it.
If a survivor is letting you spam ur power on them, then clearly they aren't breaking away or makign distance enough every time you miss. It's only a 0.5 second faster recovery u realise right?
0.5 seconds is the equivalent of 2 metres at 100% speed. That's a 2 metre difference.

That's what Devs wanted. They wanted you to use your Power more instead of the bait you could do (which you can still do btw).
Not saying it's good, but they basically made what they said.
You can still bait yea but it's not a mindless bait anymore, its more like a huntress or demo bait.
-
Personally i find OoO of a minor annoyance if even. The only real killers it hurts are trapper and hag, which maybe something should be done with that but the base perk isn't that bad.
Often it actually tells me which gens survivors are on and helps fast and mobile killers.
There are far worse survivor and killer perks which need adressing, rather than all these people jumping on the hate OoO bandwagon etc.

I think he’s insanely strong. Probsbly not nurse/spirit level but just below it. Maybe Freddy level.

I love Otz, he makes great content and is a really nice guy. That said, him using Lery's with I'm All Ears to try and prove his point and still whiffing a bunch of shots does not fill me with confidence that PH is now balanced. He has one of the best possible maps for actually landing hits on survivors because it's just a bunch of hallways and cramped rooms. Show me that on a wide open map. And I don't know where he gets 2.75 to 2.25 being "spammable" comes from, because that's not what spammable means. That's not a massive difference. It's a noticeable difference, but hardly "using it and missing sets me way back" to "lol I just spam it over and over."
Even if you can "spam" the attack more, nothing about the change actually helps you land hits, anyone with a brain will be able to dodge your shots if they're not cornered. Notice how bad the survivors in that match are on top of all that. Otz is playing a pretty middling game and these guys are just making awful plays, one DCs, it's a terrible example.
A lower cooldown on a move you can't really use most of the time just encourages you to whiff more often.
The fact that you can still do the M1 fake-out is hilarious, though. That was the entire point of the change.
Thank god they’ve removed that bug tho. He needs to make another video now without it in the game.

@MigrantTheGreat said:
I'm about to shot demo mains, but!
Demo can do the same thing, why is it a problem with PH but not Demo? Am I going Malakis or 🤷♂️
Because pyramid head can go faster than survivors when charging his ranged attack. General rule of thumb with a killer is that if they have a ranged or speed attack, they should be slower than survivors whilst charging it.

@GodDamn_Angela said:

His power also goes through walls and he has no resource, or anything, that stops him from actually using his power. So long as he has any amount of bar he can get it off.
Both demo and deathslinger can use their power whenever they wan't, infact I would argue they can use it even more often.
The fact that his ability can go through walls is what makes it different from demo's shred, otherwise it would be exactly the same. He pays the price however with a longer cooldown, decreased attack speed and a weakened bait (since changes).
-
@Grimmy_Bluues said:
I main him, and can safely say the changes were awful.
You can still fake people out and put em in lose/lose situations if you just cancel your power last second. They still hear the audio cue, which will lead to them running through the pallet while you catch up.
The ranged attack recovery just makes him more spammy and braindead.
Overall, his map pressure is the main thing that suffered due to the slowdown after placing trails.
True but I feel like the bait is more representing of that of demos and survivors can beat it now, because now you have to either bait or go for the attack, giving the survivor time to react accordingly.
His attack recovery is still the longest out of all ranged and speed attack killers except for deathslinger so I don’t see it as too much of a problem, there’s still more than enough time to run away as survivor.
i personally feel like the slowdown doesn’t really slow him down that much, it’s only a 15% slowdown for a second but It’s definitely gonna take some getting used to.

just after you disengage Potd (his ranged attack) you now lose the ability to strafe, so rather than being allowed to look with your mouse your forced to look with A and D (the keys usually used to strafe)
No other killer (except for billy while he's in chainsaw sprint which is intended) has this problem
Its a bug that's been overlooked on ptb and needs to be fixed (but wont for years to come).
Ah ok that’s interesting I’ve never noticed it but yea.
-
@Tricks said:
I don't like that strafe is disabled when you disengage his ranged attack. I don't know why this is a thing? it wasn't mentioned in the rework notes and isn't a part of the nerf to his ability to attack straight after engaging ranged attack.
Please re-enable strafe after disengaging ranged attack for quality of life improvement for PH
Strade? Wdym?

A buff to skillful players and a nerf to anyone who got carried by his bait. Trust me you will see alot less now as ppl will think he's "too hard" to play because he's not freddy or spirit levels of easy.
-
@DetailedDetriment said:
PH is braindead now. You can just spam his ranged attack.
Can you though?
From what i've seen when playing him against good players, spamming or using your attack too much costs you the game as people will utilise the punishment of missing and gain so much distance.
I would rather be downed soley by a pyramid's power than a contiuous spammed bait.

@QuestionableBruh said:
You can still use a basic attack immediately while you are drawing the trails, it just takes a bit more timing and skill. The change encourages you to be spammy and be less careful of where you attack. Otzdarva has a video on this, I suggest checking it out: https://youtu.be/0_XJJWslzYI
Also as much as i like Otzarva, I strongly disagree with him on this.
If you take out the previous bug where you could insta attack after drawing a trail, then he's far more balanced. Yes you can use his power more but does he seriously expect me to believe you can use it more than a huntress, demo or plague? 2.25 seconds is also a bigger cooldown than any of these killers, so I'm not really on-board with this spammable argument. When i've played against good survivors (like players who I know have thousands of hours in the game) they are able to still punish you everytime you miss and you waste another 10-15 seconds trynna catch up to them.

I'm pretty sure they removed that m2-m1 tech yesterday, cause i noticed that it was doable first day after the patch but havn't been able to do it since the event. idk tho.
