I’ve suggested something similar before.
He should have much longer cooldowns on Dream Projection while survivors are awake (longer than currently), and shorter cooldowns for each one that’s asleep (shorter than currently).
This would make waking up against him feel like a much more meaningful choice/action.
I would be onboard with this if it wasn’t so easy to get ppl into dream world consistently.

Congrats legit always good to see nurse mains get up there.
Although did it rlly take u over 1k hours to get to rank 1? I know u were playing nurse and all but it’s not like u were running a bad build. Just curious.

I'm actually glad that the bug went away because it made Spirit way too damn brain dead to evade and counter!
I just don't see how you guys find being spoon feed counterplay "fun" or "interactive". Almost like playing a FPS game and having wall hacks to see where enemies are and what guns they have!
It’s not spoon fed unless the survivor is good and actually uses the information which the bug gave them they would still go down just as fast.

Freddy and spirit yea.

I mean his kit isn't unhealthy in it's current form so full rework isn't imao warranted. He needs significant changes though either to make him better at chasing (not advised since he's been always mess to balance in chase) or increase in mobility, other pressure tools.
For example making his FF in some way a mobility tool just as a deep wound tool. Maybe something along the lines that FF ticks down at half or even quarter rate while out of chase so that it can be used for mobility and stuff like that.
I actually dig this idea somewhat.

I wouldn't really say that ruin+undying is free gen regression. You have to actually pressure people of generators to get the regression going or otherwise they will hop right back to the gen once you leave.
True you do have to pressure them off of gens but it’s also not that hard to do so. Survivors aren’t glued to gens they have many other things to do.
Healing, doing totems, running from the killer, getting unhooks, dealing with a killers power whether it be plague cleansing or doctors madness or pigs traps,
Survivors will loose the game if the killer is downing people and using their pressure and they just stick to gens.

If a horror game where 4 people are being hunted and the survivor role is more relaxing, then that is a critical failure of the game..
Well it’s a 4v1. Of course the team with for is going to have it more relaxing because the single player has to rely on their own ability to win the game not just their teams.
Also ur trying to tell me that it’s a failiure that the side which involves holding m1 70% of the time should be less relaxing than one which actively has to be doing things.

Judging by the colossal meme that was this patch's Perk changes and the ongoing addition of new god loops and infinites via breakable walls, the only thing that stops me from disagreeing with you is the fact that Blight exists.
Clearly ur avoiding all of the survivor nerfs then if you think only the map changes have hurt killer. Macmillan tile walls now have no gaps making it easier for any killer with a ranged, speed or attack Like oni. Apart from tile pallets every pallet of Yamaoka is now those unsafe rock loops. Badham nerf with breakable walls (although I still think this is a survivor favoured map). Just because they added a couple of breakable walls on Macmillan maps doesn’t mean infinite’s are suddenly back.
The devs do things for balance, not becusse they bias one side.

I get it, but I still don't think ur experience overpowers the experience of others.
I just played a game of killer and got bullied pretty hard, I'm actually kind of ashamed of myself. I was playing trapper w a meme build, w brown add ons.
Who cares about my experience? Nobody. I want to have fun too. It'd be nice if at least 1 of the survivor offer himself for a free kill just to make my day better. But that doesn't happen.
Survivors already have too much fun, killers live a hard lonely life getting guilt trip at every corner, get bullied, than come to the forums and read about entitled survivors complaining about killers not playing fair.
U really have to consistently play killer to truly understand their point of view.
It's the nature of diverse ppl playing killer that makes this game so great, to include camping and tunnel.
Playing survivor is fun, or most of the time it's fun. Playing killer is a sweaty game of getting bullied or eat ur prey. Again, this is why most ppl play survivor.
Killer is meant to be the harder role and it always has been. Survivor is meant to be the more relaxing role but as a result ur actions don’t change the game a much when ur survivor. The problem I have with all this stuff is that I’m genuinely concerned for the survivor gameplay health because it’s becoming way more stressful especially when ur dependent on random teammates. Have you seen killer ques recently? They are horrid. You wanna know why? Because more and more people are switching to killer because survivor just isn’t cutting it for them.
If a killer is running a meme build or struggled tremendously I’ll almost always kill my self for them or at least muck around with them. I find it stupid when survivors tbag or think they r good when a killer is clearly paying chill or using a meme build so I can agree with u on that.
I would say I’m a killer main and hardly ever play survivor these days because the experience is just getting worse and worse especially as solo, but you probsbly wouldn’t believe me.

Ruin staying up all game? Boy, must be hard to ignore all those totem for the whole game and blaming it on the killer perks... A totem is what? 15 sec to cleanse? If you can find 15 sec to cleanse a single totem out of the game cause the killer is always on top of you, killer is hacking video it, report it, no killer can do that. And if the killer isn't hacking... Well the problem is still on survivor not doing their job to counter such an easy to counter perk combo. This combo is only good when survivor refused to cleanse and chose to slam gens and ignore everything else, why do you think it's paired with tinkerer ? Same reason, punish survivor who have no awareness and blindly hold M1... Wait, aren't survivor always complaining about the game being all about holding M1 and not caring about the rest? Are survivor now complaining about having pay attention and do more than holding M1 on gens? Guess there's no pleasing some people. =)
Just re read your full message, I do mostly agree about your point on deathslinger, although I'd say that map knowledge is a strong tool against him if the player doesn't have that knowledge himself, be it to make him lose line of sight or double back at a blocked sight loop.
the problem with ur argument is that ur not taking into account the realistico of a match. How often will a killer leave you be to go running around the map five totems, or not punish you for doing so? Sure you’ve popped all the totems good job, but now one person on ur team is dead and another is on hook.
Totems were never designed as a secondary objective, thus the game isn’t balanced for survivors to have to cleanse all every single game. I’ve said numerous times on other forms totems is not the way to go for a secondary objective and never will be a true secondary. If killers want one, then it needs to be designed far better than just holding m1 and wandering around the map.
Also doing totems requires even MORE m1 holding which is another sucky part about it, and although I agree survivors need to stop just sitting on gens all the time as their only method of winning, atm there’s not a whole lot more you can do when ruin undying is in play, otherwise should risk throwing the game.

But my point still stands, I rarely get toxic messages from killers. Like almost never. If anything, I sometimes get killers who let me go. Or slug me instead of death hooking me just to give me another chance.
I get toxic messages like 100x more from survivors. Not 4x more.
And that 1 rule u came up w about OoO is laughable when killers gotta follow 10x that amount. Killers also get guilt trip on forums and in the games where survivors do not.
So I still believe survivors are more toxic. And I'm a survivor main. But played enough killer to understand the bull killers goes thru. There's a reason why most ppl play survivor.
Look all I want when I play survivor is for killers not to blatantly camp or tunnel, because that just completely ruins the experience. Sure quite a few killers out there are nice but u gotta remember how fun the game will be ultimately lies in the killer’s hands. Sure you may have one annoying and toxic survivor but you can just leave them or deal with them early, it’s not going to completely ruin the experience for everyone.
Also do u not find survivors who abuse infinite’s or hide all game boring? Those r the types of survivors I hate to see just like I hate to see scummy killers.

What im saying is by definition of survivor is to adapt to any situation to allow yourself to live. Btw, you missed the bt and sb in the build? If you dont like sb you can switch to any exaustion perk. Or any self healing perk instead of bt.
Which for the record you admitted to one of the biggest problems of the game. Survivors wanna rely on the same tiring things over and over again. Sure chase is fun. But how does that help your team? Youre just talking 1v1 and you deserve to lose. Every time. Sure you buy your team sometime but what if the killer is waaay better than you. You got into a chase for nothing cause its "fun" then come to the forums crying how it killer perks changes meta and is op.
And if youre on killer side, you really dont want long chases anyways because time is against the killer.
Well that’s where I disagree, if a survivor is good and gives me a long chase then it much more of an enjoyable experience e because I’m having to think and be really smart about how I play the chase.

It's not actually that rare to get a bad map for specific killer. Or if it is, then I'm just incredibly unlucky. But the point was more of that you only play S and A tier killers and say you don't need gen pressure builds to win. Try without gen pressure builds and play weak killers and see how it goes.
Well that’s why I’ve said I use pop an corrupt on lower tier killers. Why? Because yes they having gen slowdown does significantly help with them. If no killer ever needed game slowdowns perks, then what would the point of having them in the game be? Ruin undying just takes slowdown to freddys level and is just way over the top.

Also... cant be an urban claud build if i dont use claudette or urban evasion. But literally thats semantics right?
Alsoooo.... "we find that playstyle boring so we arent gonna switch to that" ha... hahaha. Way to adapt and overcome your issues.
Most ppl play this game for the chases, not to hide all game. If ur saying you need to hide against ruin undying to win, then alot of ppl wont wanna play this game.

Killers are not saints, both sides probably does have issues. But the survivors are way more toxic than killers.
Just look at PS4 dbd players. So many ppl shut off communication from others becuz they get toxic messages from other survivors, not becuz the killers are harassing them. Killers turn it off too, becuz win or lose, survivors always got something to say.
Just look at the rulebook, it's made for killers and they get guilt shame if it's not followed.
There is no rulebook for survivors to follow, if there is one, nobody cares. And survivors don't feel any guilt, they are entitled.
PS4 is a different kettle of fish im not gonna comment on that. The reason ppl run into toxic survivors more often is because there are 4 survivors and only 1 killer, so statistically you should see toxic survivors 4 times as often.
It's not like killers don't have their own rule book. OoO= tunneled and out of game, just to give you an example.

Blight = strong
Nurse = strong
Spirit = strong
Freddy = strong
Huntress = strong
I dOn'T nEeD gEn PrEsSuRe. I wonder why. I can grab a 4k on any killer but that solely depends more on survivors and the map I get. Low mobility killer on mother's dwelling against good survivors? I'm lucky to get a 1k. Lery's as Bubba? ggez 4 escapes.
Well sure ur taking it to teh extreme where you get really good survivors + really bad map for ur killer + bad killer + no snowball or any other contributin factor. It's like getting an infectious nurse on bloodlodge as survivor.
You also gotta remember alot of weaker killers trade in gen pressure or mobility for other purposes, so perks allow them to compensate for it. Like doctor has an anti loop AND a tracking ability, same with plague, but both dont have any gen defence or mobility so thus gen defence perks become important on these killers.

Other than ur counter accusation to my accusation, u haven't countered any of my points.
I mean, I could go,
Ah... Another entitled survivor who claims to be killer main, but acts like a entitled survivor.
Playing "fairly" is extremely subjective. In the world of dbd, anything and everything goes. Is the killer OP? Yes! Are 4 survivors w meta perks OP? Of course!
Is the game balanced? No!
Does entitled survivors make up a rulebook for ppl to follow? Yes!
That's the problem, there is no fair, or unfair, u just play how u want to play, and follow ur own rulebook without imposing on others, or guilt shaming killers to alter their style of gameplay.
Sure play however you like but doesn't mean ppl r gonna like you nor does it mean you need to be better than ur opponets to win. This applies for both sides btw. If i loose to an urbanning blendette swf i know i didn't loose because i was outplayed or didn tdo well it was because there was nothing i could do to stop them from hiding everytime i was within 40 metres of them.

Not exactly. My build is spine chill calm spirit bt and sb. Its designed for my play style. Only thing that gives me trouble is nurse and spirit. Or a great killer in general. Also i know the difference between 1v1 and 4v1. Im not the only one on my team. There is 3 other survivors. I also know the real object is to waste killer time. If do know how to loop so i can buy my team time if i need to.
And most importantly. Adaptability. Everything doesnt always go according to plan. So you do need to think on your feet.
You've literally got the most stealth urban claud build i've ever seen, and frankly ppl who seem to defend undying ruin always have this playstyle, which myself and many others in the game find incredibl boring, so no we are not switch to that playsyle.

- You are claiming that DS/UB is required! Because otherwise you die to camping and tunneling... so if that isn't the case as it doesn't come into play often... why is it required? If it wouldn't be that common it wouldn't be much of an issue now would it and survivors wouldn't be running these perks all the time. Like seriously, you cannot state it is a REQUIREMENT TO HAVE! Yet they never come into play... as that would allow you to swap them out. If you are worried about having no obsession in the game, use the game chat before a match to make sure someone brings an obsession perk? Like even solos can coordinate a little before the match starts.
- Half the games are free wins? If you meet potatoes maybe... I don't know what it does in solo queue.... while I only solo queue, literally have 0 experience with being a part of a SWF as a survivor? Is it unplayable... euhm... nope, it extends the game and if the killer pressures gens properly makes it harder, which means your team has to perform better in terms of loops, sticking to gens, finding totems, etc. You also act like the killer isn't doing anything and just gets handed the win, all the combo does is keep ruin up longer and making pressuring gens actually beneficial. Why isn't it an issue to face just ruin? Because it doesn't last for any significant amount of time, because 2/5 is next to gens, 2/5 is usually just out in the open and 1/5 is actually somewhat hidden.
- I have tried it, it is inconsistent with its performance. Some games it is amazing, some games it is complete trash and anything in between based on the survivors you meet and some luck the quality of the perk combo is very volatile. I personally prefer Pop goes the Weasel for a more consistent gameplay, but this just gives an alternative and is great on high mobility killers as they can zoom around and pressure most of the map. These are the killers where the combo shines and it makes the game a lot more difficult.
- I don't believe you need to play scummy, but to do so you need to have either an extreme snowball, the ability to end chases extremely fast (which based on who you are meeting, map rng and your own experience can be really hard) and/or have gen slow down. Games go so fast if you aren't snowballing out of control, if the survivors play anywhere near decent and aren't throwing themselves at you. I do believe that gen slow down perks are nearly a must to be running at higher levels of play if you are facing anywhere near similar caliber skill or higher survivors.
- Free wins against the best teams? Euhm... no matter what perks I use, the best teams will crush me and yet I also don't dodge teams, I win some I lose some... it really matters how good they are, if they are near my level I do alright, still no guaranteed victory or anything, if they are overall significantly better than me I get crushed. Once again you are ignoring the fact that survivors can counter the build and good teams can simply win against the undying/ruin combo. Nobody is instantly winning matches against good teams. That is the difference, good teams beat the combo because they know how to play against it. Bad teams aren't handed a win and get dominated by it because they are not playing well. Survivors also need to become better, play well, adapt to the meta and simply become good? This isn't exclusive for killers.
- Perks combos that are meta make the game much easier, that is why they are meta; Survivor meta perks are seen as crutches, training wheels, as they make the game easier: give you extra time, compensate for mistakes and buff your performance. Run the best perks and the game becomes easier... same applies to Killers and why wouldn't it? Running Corrupt Intervention and Pop also makes my life easier, running detection perks make my life easier, that is the point of them?
- You don't need to use a perk to counter it, you can also bring a map, learn the totem positions, simply search for them... most aren't really all that hidden. Like if you struggle, use a perk to make your life easier! According to you the perks you deem necessary aren't needed often, so why not swap it out for one you think is? Why do killers need to waste 2 perk slots to slow down the game to counter the speed at which generators are completed? Why are these gen regression perks meta... like undying/ruin ruffled the meta for survivors, you don't have to adjust to it and stick to your UB/DS/DH/BT build. Like feel free not to adjust, but there are a lot of good survivors that did and they are very good at hunting down totems and winning against the combo.
- Perks don't predetermine the outcome. If you believe that is the case it just showcases your inability to adjust and improve. Solo survivors, SWF ... doesn't really matter man. If you believe that simply putting 2 lit totems in the game stops you from thinking and playing then it just shows how biased you are. Ruin/Undying does nothing if the killer doesn't apply pressure properly and if survivors respond properly they can counter it.
Frankly to me it sounds like you play one side only or don't play killer at high ranks. I play survivor, I play killer and by no means the meta on survivors is less oppressive than the one on the killers end. You are the one that needs easy, free wins as a survivor... the moment the killer brings in meta perks that force you to perform better, adjust, find totems... just to hard, unbeatable, predetermined outcome! Simply put, get good and you can beat the meta combo. It is what everyone told me to do as a killer, just play around DS/UB, just pressure gens better, just be good... why wouldn't that same logic apply to survivors? Good survivors can beat hex perks, bad survivors struggle...
1: It's required in order to prevent killers from taking advantage of these scummy and easy tactics and getting easy wins. No i never said it NEVER comes into play please read my posts before you make these statements. I just said it comes into play alot less then ruin undying would. Personally i almost never run into ds and when i do im usually in a good enough enough position that it doesn't hurt me or its because i've been downing ppl fast with say nurse or blight etc.
2: No the combo makes ruin stay up all game unless the killer literally gives you the time to go and pop all of the totems and find them and travel to them and avoid any potential killers or their powers. I literally stom solo survivors as killer so much now that i intentionally dodge alot of bad players or solo surviovrs because i know the games gonna be boring and a free win. I wanna be playing a game where i can actively make choices to affect the outcome, not automaticalyl win because my oponents r garbage or cause of my perks.
3: I agree in that i like pop alot more as well. It doesn't give you free gen pressure and you have to use it wisely but it can also be very effective when used well. High mobility killers is what literally breaks ruin undying. I've played in tournaments with ruin undying blight and it's just been a stomp fest. In a TOURNAMENT may i remind you where there are co-ordinated teams.
4:The ability for you to down suvivors and beat them in a chase pretty much 100% comes down to you as a killer these days. Sure 2 years ago i might have agreed but so many more loops are mindgameable, easy to deal with or just generally unsafe these days. Plus over half of all killers have an anti loop as well which makes catching survivors a whole lot easier. If you're struggling to down survivors fast take time to rewatch you're gameplay. I can guarantee you will find many ways you could have played the chases better.
5:Sure good teams can deal with the combo but in no way do they "stomp" against it. It's actualyl quite challenging to deal with ruin undyign no matter if you're in a team or not, it's jsut that it hurts solo so much more. Survivors do need to get better you're right, but the game is forcing them to play better these days. You actually need to be good at looping to hold a killer now and you need to know alot of stuff about the game. This can not be said for killer, as you can liteally know the basics fundementals as killer and still stomp because of perks builds and killers, for example deathslinger you literalyl need to know nothing about mindgaming, very little about how loops work and you don't need to worry about a surviovrs skill level or their ability to dodge because of the instant ADS.
6:Corrupt and pop makes life easier but it doesn't siphon the survivors ability to have fun or win as an expense, and they require skill and game knowledge to use.
7:Sure you can learn the totem positions but at the end of the day it's all rng and you still have to go wandering around the map for ages even if you know where all the totems are. you also aren't taking into account any other factors regaring the killers presence and acting as if the killer just lets you go do whatever you want whenever you want. You don't need gen regresison perks on any mediocre-good killer that's just you wanting to use them to make ur life easier. Also think about this when was the most recent of those meta survivor perks released? Lullaby for the darkness. Almost 3 years ago. Killers on the other hand are constantly getting new meta perks. Sure survivors arent getting bad perk but nothing any where near the level of ruin undying, thrilling, surge, infectious, corrupt just to name a few recent killer meta perks.
8: I've played with this combo before, and i've seen what it does to you. You don't need to think anywhere near as much as without it because you don't need to worry about gen regression mechanics at ALL and you can afford to loose a chase and not get punished for it.
No i've got over 2/3rds of my hours on killer. DS/UB are far easier to play around with than ruin undying which the only options you have with that leave you punished and incredibly vunerable as i've mentioned before.

Almost every solo queue game that isn't with chat impaired players (aka crossplay)
I get survivor blaming the killer for their own mistakes and being the toxic entitled crybabies they always are
Killers? They say a cheeky "GG =)" when they win and lose, or simply nothing at all and move on. Not sure we play the same game or read the same forum, literally go look at the main discussion page, look how many post are main SVV crying to see everything on the killer side nefred xD
Dude the dbd forums r literal killer main city and look how many complaints are here.
Both sides complain, survivors aren't the evil supervillains in all of this and killers the holy saints. Both sides have their issues. Stop talking like tru3.

Killer Has to be "friendly "? Obviously ur a entitled survivor main.
I use to have that mentality when I was a noob.
Why don't u stop playing survivor and become a killer main, and be "friendly"?
I use to do that. Got worked up about rude killers so I started killer to be "friendly" and went on a quest to show the dbd world how a killer should be played.
After a while, I found out killers are actually friendly. Its the survivors who are NOT friendly. That was the turning point i became a survivor main who defends the real victims in this game, the killers.
Ahh here we go was waiting for someone to pull the ur an entitled survivor main card without knowing that i literally have 2/3rds of my 3k hours on killer.
It is more than feasable to play fairly and win without ruin and undying. Are you saying that ever killer who won before this perk combo played scummy? That's just nonsense.

Well, killers ARE forced to use the Undying Ruin Combo in order to play exactly as survivors have been telling them, since the Ruin nerf. Just apply pressure).
They ARE forced to use 2 perks instead of 1, because of how quickly gens go. Killers really only have a chance, when survivors crouch scrared behind a bush. But they don´t stand a chance against survivors that are dedicated to pump out gens.
They might get 1 kill, but that´s it.
That just completely false. I don't run gen pressure at ALL on blight, nurse, spirit, freddy and huntress because you don't even need it to win. SURE i don't win every game but do i main any of these killers apart from blight? No. Most other killers ill usually only have corrupt and pop which sure as hell does the job far better than i'd ever need.
Killers were actually getting better at the game after old ruin went did u not see? Most killers actually knew how to rotate and stop throwing the game through stupid plays because they were finally punished for not playing well. Now you chase someone and loose the chasee? Oh well you've got ruin undying tinkerer so just go over to another gen and watch it regress.

Because when you know the maps you know safe spaces to hide in. Or where to loop. Also spine chill gives me so much warning. (If any perk needs a nerf its this but thats not this convo) so usually i fk off and check a spot where i think a totem will be.
Now with totems. Think of it as 2 sets of quadrants. Totems will spawn in one of these quadrants maybe. Which usually helps me find them easily. (Hense why i say totems need a better job at hiding).
By the time i cleanse a totem or come back to the gen he should of fkd off by then. Which now gives me anywhere from 15 to a whole gen to complete before he comes back.
By this time 3 things could of happened. Another gen popped. A killer found another surv is is about to down them. Or i find a second totem. Usually i memorize second totem location and go for the unhook. Because pressuring the killer = alive survivors. I then go back to totem then find a gen. Usually by this time i find gens almost complete or has some time. And basically rinse repeat as i see fit.
You're assuming so many things here thouhg, this is like the best case scenario. Assuming the killer doesn't find you, assuming it's not a mobility killer or doctor. Assuming its not a hag, trapper or p head forcing you to avoid their traps, assuming the killer has not already downed some else and begun applying pressure, assuming you can actually find the totems and that they spawn in the right spots, assuming you don't run into the killer. This is literalyl just a once off scenario.

I disagree. Once again its 4 v 1. Now if one of your team is weak...well that's a different story. I escape a lot of the time and i do 2 gens and all 5 totems. And 2 unhooks. Im always doing something.
How do you have time to do that much stuff tho. The killer should be pressuring you and forcing you to heal, forcing you off of gens and doing all the normal killer stuff.
Killer's seemed to be winning perfectly fine before this combo, so why was it nescasery?

I don´t see a problem.
There is Small Game and Detectives Hunch. Those help greatly with finding totems. Don´t survivors use DS as "anti tunnel" solution? Well, those 2 perks are the solution to totems.

So now survivors have half of their build if not more forced on them if they want a chance at a fun game.
I don't use ds or unbreakable and I'll admit I'm not a huge fan of them but there's a good reason why they are in the game and that's not changing anytime soon as long as you have so many scummy killer players out there.

The bad thing about it, is BHVR will listen to salty no skill survivors. If their statistics will show, that Ruin/Undying is used by killers in more that 70% of the games (oh, I really wonder why), it will get nerfed in one way or another. Cause good killer perk combinations are obvisously not allowed.
No one has a problem with pop, or ruin on its own, or corrupt or anything like that.

What? There is no reward you loose the game either way.

I usually spawn next to a gen (or a lit hex totem, but thats a different story).
But then no totems r done if you just hop on a gen, leaving the killer with tremendous slowdown later on.
You see the problem? You do gens and ruin undying stays and makes the game insanely hard to win later on. You do bones and then no gens r done.

So you are assuming that survivors only start to repair a gen once the killer starts chasing someone...
Then you're assuming once again that survivors instantly jump on three seperate gens and start pushing them out AND that it takes 80 seconds for the killer to find and down a survivor. Idk what game ur playing.

Survivors complaining about killer perks do it because they want easy games and can mindlessly pump out gens within 5 mins and get free wins?
You find survivors perks less game changing where combos can create 1 min of pure immunity, offer free escapes in the late game and have no tells, no counterplay... less game changing than a perk combo that requires you to remove some totems, broadcasts it is in the game...
Killers are pretty much forced to run generator regression because just like your claims of it is a necessary evil to counter tunneling and camping ... these perks are necessary to provide people with time. At least killers need to defend something, survivors can act to do something against it.
You are asking what rank someone is that can sit at a gen for 80 secs, but aren't able to do bones at rank 1. Frankly I don't think that the combo is even that good unless you have a high mobility killer... at red ranks the totems and gens get done fast if the killer cannot pressure them and isn't that what survivors keep telling killers to do. Get good, learn to pressure gens and now they have a perk combo to actually promote that style of play, NERF! It pulls killers away from hooks, because they now have additional benefits to keep moving and pressing gens and totems... guess you want everyone to slug, tunnel and camp as that is how killers pretty much have to play when facing a decent team without gen perks. Ooh and if you come with but 5k hour killers can do it without it, the 5k survivors can also play without the perks you state are required... are we balancing around them or the rest of us.
Guess the get good philosophy only applies to killers, because frankly good survivors are more than capable to do bones, power through and apply their own pressure to win.
I don't even know where to start with this.
You're saying that 1 minute of immunity that often doesn't even come into play is stronger than basically a free win half of games? Do you not know what ruin undying does to solo q games? It literalyl makes them unplayable cause you have pretty muhc no chance of escaping unless the killer is extra-boosted or you get lucky.
"Frankly I don't think the combo is even that good". Well then why does literalyl ever killer these days run it? And i doubt u don't run it either.
The argument that you have to play scummy to win is just so false its unbelievable. I don't want to go into this argument because I know it'll get nowhere but i'm going to say two things to this. 1: Why do you wan't free wins against the best teams? They shouldn't be easy to win otherwise what's the difference between a good or bad team. You should actually have to TRY and use SKILL to beat a good team. 2: There are plenty, PLENTY of good killers out there who will stomp even the best teams because they've mastered a certain killer. Sure you won't beat a good team if you're say a billy main and then go and play oni against them but that's how it shoudl be. You shouldn't be able to pick a killer or bulid and thus instantly win the match or make the game so much easier, which is what ruin undying does.
You're bascially forcing every survivor to waste one perk just to counter a potential build a killer might have. That's like saying "just put on iron will against spirit and ggez'. Very flawed argument.
I'm going to say this again because i don't think ur getting the point. Do you want to play a game where the result is predetermined based on the perks you have? No because that's boring as hell. That's why ruin undying sucks so much. Solo survivors know that they've lost, and killers know that they've won. Reason I've never used that build as killer and don't plan on. Why would i want to play a match where i don't even have to think and I've already won the game.

Could be literally any rank, since killers don't know where all the survivors are.
Sure that may be the case but as soon as the killer starts getting hooks and pressure they don't need to know because survivor's are forced off of gens regardless of whether the killer is there or not.

Killer can only chase 1 person at the same time. If he breaks the chase, go back to the gen. If he commits to the chase, the others will do the gens.
But ur assuming a killer takes 80 seconds to down someone? If a killer is taking that long to down someone then they don't deserve to be winning that game.

Less game changing than ruin?
In most of my matches I can ignore ruin. I just continue the gen until it's finished.
So the killer just lets u sit on a gen for over a minute and doesn’t apply any form of pressure. What rank r u at again?

If the perks would be used for what they are designed for, no one would complain.
However, survivors run them to repair a gen in the killers face, because they know he can't grab them or pick them up. Which is, btw. the same reason PoP was nerfed.
A lot of the ppl who do complain about the survivor perks do it because they want easy games where they can mindless tunnel camp and get free wins. Yes I know sometimes these perks can be abused and annoying against generally good killers but personally I find survivor second chances far less game changing than ruin undying.

Here I come again with my unpopular, controversial opinions.
I actually think the complete opposite. I think MOST (other than the silly extra bp add ons) are seriously under appreciated.
Few have the patience to persist with a lot of add ons to actually milk the advantage from rare, ultra rare, and iridescent add ons.
Iridescent Coin can seem rubbish until you actually come across a Deathslinger that’s mastered using it. (I personally have, and it was an oppressive and hopeless match).
BHVR are getting (mostly) smarter about the design of rare, ultra rare, and iridescent add ons. Rather than them being brainless: just equip and win, they provide an increasing level of advantage or payoff at the expense of either:
- a trade off that needs to be considered
- or an increase in difficulty or skill in order to be rewarded with the add on’s advantage
- or needs to have some deliberate thought into how the killer plays or strategises in order to get use out of the add on.
Another great example is Pyramid Head’s Obsidian Goblet. Undetectable when walking/standing on Rites of Judgement Trails seems weak until some deliberate thought is put into where trails are being pathed, and if the killer is being deliberate about frequently using the trails as a means of travel. It’s an add on that requires that the player actually THINK about how to use it rather than give the player easy, mindless, passive Undetectable without changing how they’d usually play.
You may think it's controversial but I 100% agree with this. Add-ons shouldn't provide gamebreaking advantages for free, and if they do incredibly buff a killer they should require skill or change of playstyle on the killers part. Plus there are already plenty of addosn which provide insane effects for free atm, just looks t some of freddys stronger add-ons or spirits greens.

Sure, just take out the second chance builds with it (any combination of DS, Unbreakable, DH, BT, or Soul Guard).
sure, just stop tunneling and camping every game because you're being outplayed or it's apparently the only thing u can do to win.

Survivors look at yourself first, Stop using nothing but DS/UB/BT first.
Btw you can still destroy those 2 perks buy being lucky or doing bones, which then make the killer have only 2 perks. We can't do that with your perks
The reason survivors use these perks is to stop scummy killers And maybe if there were less of them survivors wouldn't use these as much. And here we go another person assuming you can just spawn on both totems and take them out as if a killer doesn't exist in the game.

Stop running DS/UB/BT/DH every single game then.
Ppl don't realise bt and ds can't go ad long as there's still scummy camping tunneling killers out there. Maybe if more of the killer community was more friendly instead of always creating an us vs them situation

"people only played him for instasaw" I don't agree with that. There were a lot of Billy players who were always running addonless or maybe only using turning add-ons. There were very few double engravings players and that playstyle is effectively dead now with his new changes. Haven't seen a single double engravings Billy in a LONG time, not even anyone on Twitch has done it in forever. Insta and crack were definitely popular but not THAT popular. You'd still see a lot of Billy players who would just run something different if all they did was change the charge time and cooldown add-ons. And they would also be the good Billies too so you'd know it'd be a fun match if you ever saw a Billy.
Search up demonic_freak on twitch, an insanely good Billy who still does engravings.

You know nurse is still by far the strongest killer in the game right. There's nothing wrong with her rework it forces you to use it blinks more carefully and be more precise.

You've used undying without another hex? Umm why? For what earthly purpose?

And that's fine. Something like speed up Ruin's effect slightly but say it doesn't tick on for the first 10 seconds of activation, for instance, would be ok. Ruin would still be useful on its own, as would Undying, but Undying + Ruin would be a bit weaker since that 10 second cooldown would occur everytime Undying saves it.
My whole comment above was dealing specifically with the suggestion that you should just "remove the aura ability from Undying". That won't fly because you can't make Undying a useless perk on its own.
idk i don't see a problem with having one perk which only works with other perks like a booster perk. It's not like ppl use it without another hex perk anyway lets be real.
-
Because every killer these days runs ruin undying.

@dugman said:

I know exactly what Undying does. I'm simply saying that their design philosophy appears to be that no perk should be useless on its own. As in you should be able to run with just one perk, and have it be any perk, and it does something. (How good that "something" functions is debatable obviously.)
So you're talking about nerfing Undying as a whole, when REALLY what you want to do is nerf a particular perk combo that happens to involve Undying. You should come up with a suggestion that targets that combo but without making Undying a perk that absolutely requires it to be used with an additional perk to function.
Undying is the problme with this convo tho. Ruin is fine, tinkerer is fine. Undying breaks both of these. All i would like is for a cooldown on ruin if it pops whilst undying is up say for 30-60 seconds where ruin is inactive. Would bring it inline with the rest of the hex perks considering they all have penalties when they are popped whilst undying is up.

Because otherwise this will explode up into a ds unbreakable convo rather than a ruin undying tinkerer convo.

If Undying had no aura reading then it would be completely useless on its own. All perks have to have at least something that they can do on their own. Even Thrill of the Hunt for instance on its own makes all cleansing take longer and gives you a bloodpoint bonus. But Undying by itself only has the aura reading, nothing else. Take that away and it's a useless perk on its own.
what? do you not know what undying does? It would still be very strong without the aura reading cause that's not the point of the perk.
