I forgot about it, Im so glad you reminded me, man I laughed so hard now :D
-
It's same with Huntress Lullaby, a perk that's not worth being a Hex.
-
Yeah, Im kinda worried that this may endup being barely a buff at all, and Doctor desperately needs one if you ask me.

We are planning on reviewing other items in the future like we have for medkits. When that will be, however, I can't say.
What if you kick a gen with new ruin though ? Does it regress at 4x the speed ? Man, that'd be so awesome and actually kinda strong :D! (still very situational though)

Overwatch is also a symmetrical game. The people you're playing against could be your teammates in the next match. In DbD, on the other hand, it's asymmetrical, and a lot of people only play one side. There ends up being a lot of animosity because of that.
But more importantly, having it influence matchmaking in any way would have the same effect, even if they are only positive. You'd still be reliant on people using the system (and using it correctly).
Oh, it influencing matchmaking is a different matter entirely, I was thinking about the whole reputation thing being just to show that you're a good sport.

In a perfect world, that would be great. Although I've seen people report each other for incredibly petty things, or accuse killers of camping or tunneling when they were playing perfectly fairly. I wouldn't want to see someone get bad matches just because they played against some people that didn't like the way they played.
Then make it so you can ONLY commend people, and you can prop people for different things "A Usefull Distraction" or "A Helping Hand" for example, Overwatch uses a system like this and it works great there, I see no reason for it to not work in dbd aswell
-
Personally I think Doctor and Clown are really weak, would put them in D, I also don't think Huntress is S tier, but hey it's your tier list.
-
Personally, I feel like all perks that interact with gen speed should be reworked (As in rework Prove Thyself, since it's gens only, and change perks like Spine Chill), gen speeds can already be insane, survivors don't need further help with gens + These perks are just boring to use, even for survivors
-
Welcome to the fog my man, enjoy your stay :) !

You can thank good ol' dedicated servers for most of your misfortunes lol
It works both ways, playing him is also a nightmare, as 50% of the time your stalking just will not register. But yeah ... It's thanks to dedicated servers.
-
All that means we can hope for a Legion rework AND Ormond rework at the same time, that would be awesome ! Legion is ... The worst thing to ever happen to dbd, so a rework is absolutely required sooner or later (although they really want to avoid doing a full rework, I doubt they can make this ... THING work in it's current state), but an Ormond rework would also be welcome, it's one of the more annoying maps, it's nowhere near as bad as something like Haddonfield, but a couple of changes would be nice.
-
Im tier 67, will propably grind out the hell out of the game tommorow, before Im back to work :P

Also, in this type of game, there would become an 'optimal' route to take on every map that would evolve eventually as a map-meta type of thing. Then, every game at high ranks would start to look exactly the same
That's just untrue, sure some areas would be stronger than other, but that's already the case oftentimes. There are just too many variables for something like this to ever occur.
-
"I can see the killer go Jedi" - Good one, I'll add that to my vocabulary :D

It's an issue on keyboard as well.
The mechanic was originally designed to feel interactive but after a few hours it becomes a chore.
Personally I would prefer if they changed it to just holding a button instead as it really doesn't add anything to the game.
They 100% should, it's frustrating and physically exhausting during long sessions. And no, "it's supposed to be uncomfortable" is not an excuse. Gameplay should always take priority over any immersion, story or anything really, and this is bad gameplay design.
-
Sure, but killers would have to get a huge compensation, genrush would become so much worse if they implemented this, and genrush is already a problem against competent survivors ...

All he needs is faster movement speed while charging and faster movement speed while chainsawing.
Keep tantrum, it’s a cool idea.
The thing with a killer that's so simple design-wise is that he'll almost always be either too op or too weak, it'll be difficult to find the sweet spot I fear.

It will most likely be 4 as always, but we haven't gotten an official road map for next year's second half, so i'm not gonna say it's absolutely gonna be 4.
It'll 99% certainly be 4 chapters, they even specifically said on their reddit AMA that the chances of them not making a chapter in favor of fixing the game are "very low" ...
-
Yeah, this challenge is awfully designed and has no place being in this game ... But it is :(
-
Why ? Because as sad as it is, rank doesn't matter at all. It only shows how much you've played a given month. We're getting a rework sometime in 2020 though, so here's hoping ...
-
Well, I've actually never seen someone use that as an excuse 😅
But in all seriousness, sometimes you just know that there are more survivors around the hook, you don't need scratchmarks to tell you that directly, sometimes you have a gut feeling, sometimes you've seen/heard some grass movement, it's not as bad as people make it out to be, most of the time when someone stays around the hook, they have a reason.
Not saying idiots who camp just to annoy people don't exist, but they're a lot less common than most realise.

And yet you continue to say the challenges are "luck-based" but by that definition, the entire game is luck-based.
You are either know what you're doing and the challenge takes just a few matches, or you don't and you struggle until you get lucky. If that's "luck", then it's an acceptable amount of it.
"And yet you continue to say the challenges are "luck-based" but by that definition, the entire game is luck-based." - I do not see the connection between the 2, but I agree that the game is luck based to an extent, there is a lot of rng.
"You are either know what you're doing and the challenge takes just a few matches, or you don't and you struggle until you get lucky. If that's "luck", then it's an acceptable amount of it." Sure, the game is luck based, and it's an acceptable amount of luck. The amount of luck in challenges is not acceptable, I even stated that Im fine with RNG in challenges as long as it's not ridiculous.
-
Nothing you can do about that, nothing the devs can do either :( Just gotta suck it up sometimes

Re:Dark Senses
Saying it "requires SWF" is just flat wrong. No, it doesn't.
Sorry, but you say there's no "skill" involved in the challenges and then you also admit that by yourself you aren't capable of completing a challenge that plenty of other players have accomplished with ease...
lol I even stated that it is possible to complete it solo, but with how much luck you need it stops being a challenge and becomes a dice roll basically.
And you saying that I wasn't able to complete a challenge that I deem not skillfull means literally nothing, idk why you'd bring this up, with how luck based they are it's obvious that many people got it on their 1st try, doesn't mean they're good or bad, just means they got lucky, there are just as many players that can't get those challenges, doesn't mean they're worse than the other half lol.
-
Yup. 6 Feet Under is ridicolous, it's the only challenge I gave up on doing.
-
Well, if it bugged, nothing you can do but try again. Overall, I hate this challenge, it's incredibly poorly designed, it's basically impossible to do solo, and when we were doing it for a friend yesterday (4 players), we had to throw sooo many games, it just wasn't fun for any of us ...
-
Legion. I really think they should take him back to the drawing board and rework completely. He doesn't work, he just doesn't ...
-
I'll get it unless they don't reduce the grind, which I think is pretty unlikely, with how much feedback they've gotten on that.
-

It's only pc and probably all of them has been used.
Hey, since they've all been used, mind telling me where some are hidden ? I haven't found any and Im curious of which ways they hid them in :P
-
Personally, Im a big fan of Discordance. It's great because it does so many things, I mean ... It does one, shows you gens on which multiple people are, but this not only lets you find 2 survivors, it also disrupts half of the team (atleast), oftentimes it spares you looking for survivors in the very early game, is a clutch in the lategame, when survivors may try to rush the last gen etc etc. One of my favourite perks, you should give it a try too ;) !
-
No, flashlight saves are one of the most skill-expressive actions survivors can do, it's not toxic, but feel free to change targets to the saver, if he gets cocky ;)
-
To be honest, that just show how little rank means in DBD, we'll be getting a rank rework in 2020 though, so hopefully we'll get an actual rank system !
-
It won't happen though, they said in ther reddit AMA around a month ago, that the chances of them postponing a chapter for improving game health are very low.
-
Because Clown is a killer that's meant to be 100% chase, he has no map pressure, no mobility, but to compensate he should be a beast when it comes to chases themselves, but he's not. His bottles aren't nearly significant enough, so chases with him still drag-on long. He definetly needs some love.
-
Rush BBQ and WGLF, it'll make the grind wayyy less painfull, losing all the characters sucks though ... best of luck my man !
-
Because more often than not immersed players are too immersed. They crouch around all game, doing nothing productive for the whole game. Stealth isn't bad, trying to stay hidden isn't bad. Crouching even when you know for a fact that the killer is busy is really, really bad.
-
The Rift fragments portion of the rewards expries as the rift comes to a close, you'll still be able to do challenges after the Rift closes, but you'll only get bloodpoints and Lore Entries.
-
Honestly, I don't like how loose this term is, people all interpret it differently, I think we should just get dedicated gestures that say "The killer isn't nearby, come help me !" and "The killer is camping, rush gens!", dunno exactly how they could be implemented though :P
-
There are many perks that deserve a rework/buff, personally I'd love to see Huntress Lullaby changed into a non-hex perk, I really don't think this perk deserves to be a Hex.
-
Yeah ... It's pretty inconsistant as of now overall. For example, I got a crash during loading today and got no penalty so ... 🤔
-
Yeah ... I don't see the system's use either. If someone wants to ruin a match, they'll do it either way.
-
I don't think it's a matter of hooking or not, if someone wants to be a dickhead and ruin the match for everybody, they'll do it one way or another.
-
I main killer and I find matches instantly, as survivor it usually takes 2-5 minutes, so there do seem to be more survivor mains out there, I wouldn't look at ranks though since they've always been hit or miss, sometimes Im matched with players of my rank and other times I get a rank 18 Meg that's not swf with anyone.

There will be a stream before the holidays, yes. We'll be announcing it shortly. There's not enough time for a hotfix, though. It'd be pretty risky to do before we all leave, since if something went horribly wrong, we wouldn't be able to fix it in time.
We gave details on what we'd like to do to the flick here, though: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/112192/
That's very dissapointing to hear tbh, not that I have anything against you taking a break, but I feel like it would've been better to have left Oni good and fun and maybe a tad bit too strong (Not really tho) if you knew you weren't going to make fixes in time, rather than stripping him of all fun and now leaving him like this for around a month, FeelsBadMan :(
-
Yeah, as most people are saying, whispers seems objectively better, I like Deerstalker more though 😚
-
Yeah, I feel like Vigil could be reworked completely.
I feel something like: You can recover your exhaustion at 50/60/70% regular speed while running, would be pretty cool. Sure, you'd potentially get wayy more Exhaustion perk usages than usual, but you're using an additional perk slot, so I feel like it'd balance out nicely.
-
From my experience, generally the better rank you are, the shorter the queues are, up to a point where you're extremely high ranked (ranked 1-2), where the game struggles to find rank 1 killers. Maybe you've ranked up a lot lately ?
-
I thought about it a few times, I feel like safe unhooks should also count towards MoM, but the requirement should be increased slightly, something like 4 seems fine, that'd make the perk way easier to activate, which would make it more satisfying for survivors to use, to offset that insane buff in power however, the penalty after healing up could be permanent. You could say that permanent Object of Obsession is not fun, but by the time you activated it, 2/3 of the match have most likely passed already, so I feel like it's a fair trade to be vulnerable in the endgame. Im no BHVR so I don't have enough data to balance numbers correctly, but I feel like the general idea is pretty decent ;)
-
I'd expect the challenges to roll out on wednesday, like they said they would. Im more worried about the challenges' difficulty, hopefully they tweaked them a bit.
