People in this game don't seem to realize the difference between characters and players, that's the problem. If you play as killer you are the killer and viceversa with survivors. That's at the base of the killer vs survivor mentality here, if you dislike/hate a character or role you also hate the player using them. I'll honestly never understand this logic.
-
It could work, but imo it needs an additional condition, like only when repairing gens or cleansing totems, otherwise it would be too strong.
-
She's ok, but when people don't cleanse she turns into an M1 killer. Everybody stays injured, so that's not necessarily bad, but it gets boring not being able to use her power.
-
I hate when survivors do some crazy juke and disappear, but I do it whenever I have the occasion as survivor and it's the best feeling ever when I succeed.
-
I could see this implemented as a Hex perk, since it seems quite powerful as an effect and would otherwise make stealth killers kinda obsolete

-Shrugs- why would an IRL killer leave them on the floor bleeding?
To make em' salty, frustrated, and to suffer. Like all (DbD) killers should.
So you did it purposefully to be a dick, why even bother asking?
Besides this is a game played to have fun, the IRL argument makes no sense.
-
Personally I think toolboxes should affect skillchecks rather than repair speed, for example the dimention of normal/great skillchecks, the amount of bonus progression for a great skillcheck etc
-
It's probably the same reason you can't stun a killer while they pick up a survivor, stuns can't interrupt animations. But I agree it should be possible to stun her midblink.
-
Survivors can hostage the game by diving in a locker which makes them essentially invincible.
What? Are we playing the same game?
You could just endure it like anyone who got the achievement did instead of asking for buffs for the probably strongest (still balanced) killer addon.
If you want a tip, if a survivor enters a locker try to make little moonwalk show. A couple times it worked to convice them to leave the locker.
-
DS is deactive after another survivor get hooked
This. I deeply hate when I get hit with DS when I'm not tunneling.
-
2 hours? Why wasting so much time on such a petty thing? Even if it was legal, it would still be incredibly stupid.
-
I did, maining Ash, Androxus, Mal'Damba and Bomb King, but then I didn't like were the game was going and stopped. Their matchmaking was a ######### nightmare...
-
If I remember right Trapper performs well as a killer (from stats they published some time ago), so they probably think it's not an urgent matter.

They gen rushed meaning: They got all gens done, opened the gates, and almost escaped.
If none were slugged all would have escaped. But since there was a slugging. Only 1 escaped.
So the did their objective, why should this be a reason to do that?
I'm not saying you shouldn't have slugged, but when one escapes and the others clearly don't have Unbreakable, why not hooking them instead of wasting 4 minutes of everyone's time?
-
By what you say it didn't seem to be a reason to not hook them and end it sooner, they didn't seem to do anything bad (no, gen rushing is not toxic), so it was kinda a dick move, yes.
-
Do people really complain about that? When I play (solo) I'm lucky if my teammates cleanse one or two totems, there's really no shortage of them...
-
The problem with Ebony moris is that they're the only UR offering, so their chances to appear is not diluted by other offerings (which happens with the other two moris). At P3 I find them quite often, if I didn't purposefully avoid them I would have tons of them.

So do instaheals and brand new parts. You probably don't think so as a survivor, but as a killer, a couple of gens popping super early or somebody from downed state suddenly sprinting around can basically lose the entire match for you.
Not to mention if that same survivor that just got instahealed is also running the typical Dead Hard, DS, Balanced Landing. Borrowed Time build. 3 of those perks are second chances by the way...
You know, people aren't stuck with one thing to complain about. You can complain about moris AND insta-heals. Mindblowing eh?
Also BNPs are not something to complain about anymore after their massive nerf.

weird, considering how rediculously survivor sided the game is.
SWF in of itself is something that should never exist in a game like this, particularly when the game has never been balanced for it
Survivors have received tons of nerfs though and are not comparable to how they were in 2016/2017. Knowing this and still saying that devs favour survivors is being dishonest.
-
Surveillance works very well on her and makes ambushing survivors on gens more reliable. I also found a very good addon combo is pairing Jigsaw's Annotated Plan/Jigsaw's Sketch and Bag/Crate of Gears. It makes getting kills with an RBT way easier, you can expect almost one each game.
Don't waste time using the dash around loops though, it's not good enough to fool slighlty experienced players.
-
In the PTB people mostly screw around and test stuff for a couple days. There's also a lot of dcing and overuse of rare/ultra rare stuff... people definetly don't get better playing the PTB.
-
Well the Demogorgon is not that interesting as monster, tbh. It's cool, sure, but it's basically a beast coming from an other dimension. The only power it showed was to navigate between the two dimentions, it didn't seem have any power to affect the upsidedown. Which is basically a darker version of our reality, so even in this case not very interesting per se.
-
Personally I think it would be a nice idea for the Styptic Agent, being able to heal on-the-move would still be very useful but not annoying like an instaheal.
As for the Anti-Haemorrhagic Syringe though, I think it should allow to pick up downed survivors in a very short time independent by how much they recovered, otherwise it would not be justifiable for it be an ultra-rare addon.

Remember reading somewhere that they all died alone and the entity was there to get them at the time of death. Highly doubt it since most of them disappeared.
Most survivors' stories never mention dying, they mostly disappear after going in a isolated place. Kate even tried to fight the Entity when it came to "collect" her.

When a Killer is Undetectable, the following effects are applied:
The Killer’s terror radius is removed.
The Killer’s red stain is removed.
The Killer will not have their aura revealed.
The Killer does not trigger the jumpscare sound effect.
The Killer sees the smoky screen visual effect.
The description they gave mentions only auras, so Premonition and Spine Chill shouldn't be affected.
Myers will probably remain an exception since the main use of EW1 is to stalk unnoticed. Also, stealth killers can still play as default M1 killers without thir power, EW1 Myers can't because of the drawbacks.
-
The Entity is kinda a multi-dimentional being, while the Mindflayer seems relegated to the Upsidedown and needs hosts/portals to move to our world.
I'd say they aren't related, and probably the Entity is on another level of power.

inb4 NOED
-
Agree, they managed to make 9 (!) very interesting perks.
-
B. It's a weaker PGTW but applied automatically to (potentially) multiple gens.

What you guys don't understand is that the gates were powered on. Why do you all think about rushing? Omg after repairing there's escaping you know?
1 - How could we know that you were talking about and end-game scenario if you never mentioned it?
2- Then where is the problem? Just get out.
-
I don't with perks are balanced for 5 perk builds, some characters could have some really nasty builds that would become meta in no time.
-
I think the most powerful would be Myers, since he is evil incarnate and basically unkillable/unstoppable. The weakest probably Legion, they're just a gang of teenagers and without the Entity they probably wouldn't do much.
-
1- Meg is ugly, Nea is not
2- (Proper) Stealth is harder than looping, but still effective at wasting the killer's time
2b- You can stealth a Doctor, and it feels great.
3- The Hag shouldn't be able to place traps in close proximity to hooked survivors. It's just old Trapper (pre 1.5) 2.0
4- Iridescent Heads are bs
5- Looping is not that big of a deal
-
Very well done, I love it!
-
If he's facecamping spamming M1 just do gens, if he is following you up close in Treatment mode while you go to the unhook just don't try to unhook and make him chase you away from the hook. If he grabs you it's only because you allowed him to.
-
The hatch is the only reason you can find the last survivor. If they have no objective for which they have to rush and expose themselves survivors can be literally impossible to find and you need a incredible amount of luck and patience. So think, it's better a 3k or 60 minutes of aimless wandering around a map?
-
This suggestion is so flawed I don't even know where to start, honestly...
-
It's more likely we will be able to taste a bit of upside down in the new map, by what was shown in the trailer.
-
Little anectode: my gf doesn't want to play this game even though she loves watching me playing it because she doesn't want to get bullied by survivors. Yep that's right, it doesn't have to do with camping.
Let's stop pretending camping is this huge plague that drives people away. If they stop playing because of that is because they misunderstood the nature of the game, which is a competitive one (where people do what they can for their objective) and in a sort of way a strategic one, where you must respond to a strategy with another one.
-
Who says they don't? It's not rare for survivors to dc after someone does something very stupid causing their death and sometimes they even argue in the chat.
Sure often they try to blame the killer, but in that case because they expect the killer to show some empathy and go for the sandbagger. Between the two, the survivor is most probably an idiot while the killer is the one with a malicious intent (taking advantage of the situation to win), so it "makes sense" to be angry with him rather than with the one who doesn't know better.
-
I think the real gen-rush is when survivors don't give a damn about anything beside gens: when you see all chests still closed, no totem cleansed and people don't heal you know you're facing real gen rushers. It's very rare to find teams playing this way though.
In other cases it's just an excuse used when killers play bad, or a strategy used when they are playing dirty (hard camping or tunneling someone).
-
@gantes said:
People clearly don't play survivor enough if they think that holding M1 for longer is something people would be willing to do.
How are your killer lobbies now? Say goodbye to them if you force people to do the least fun thing in the game even more.
People seem to forget that the game must be interesting for survivors too.
-
Myers' perks don't work well together by themselves, but are well designed around his addons. Your best bet would probably to use the Tombstone Piece + J.Myers Memorial, farm stacks of STBLF and than kill the obsession without hitting them to keep your stacks. Ignore PWYF since you'll probably just waste time trying to get use of it.
-
The idea of removing a survivor perk imo is wrong because the survivor didn't choose to bring such kind of perk. If you choose to use an Hex it is at your own risk
Personally though I always thought it would be nice if each hex perk had its own curse to afflict the survivor who cleansed it, related to what the perk does.
-
I find it funny that all 4 disconnected but basically only the one with Dead Hard was really affected by the addon.
-
I like him, but I hate that you can start to reveal him by mistake at the worst possible time giving away your position. It happened to me twice already :(
-
That's not true. The exposed status effect applies often in unexpected moments taking survivors off guard*, but a injured survivor knows and changes his playstyle to be sure to always have his guard up and not be taken by surprise.
*and when it doesn't, it's way less effective and there are high chances it will be wasted.
-
The point is that you shouldn't stay in lockers for an indefinite amount of time, if you need to check where everyone is you just need to leave the locker for a while.
